Definitions
- This invention relates to a heat exchanger suitable for an oil cooler or the like.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a typical plate stack type oil cooler as an oil cooler that performs heat exchange between oil and water (cooling water).
- the first cup plate and the second cup plate each having a peripheral edge rising obliquely are alternately laminated, and the oil flow path and the cooling water flow path are alternately arranged between these plates. It has a formed configuration.
- the inner fin it is common that the inner fin (it is also called a fin plate) is inserted
- the thickness of the temperature boundary layer is quite small and can be on the order of less than 1 mm, for example, about 0.1 mm.
- the thickness of the flow path (oil flow path and cooling water flow path) between the plates in the conventional plate stacked heat exchanger is on the order of several millimeters. Yes, much bigger.
- the temperature boundary layer in the flow is agitated or broken by an inner fin or the like to improve the heat exchange efficiency.
- the fluid flow is inevitably disturbed, and the increase in pressure loss is larger than the increase in heat exchange.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a heat exchanger having a new configuration based on a new concept, and to achieve a high level of both heat exchange and pressure loss.
- the heat exchanger of this invention is A heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a first fluid and a second fluid each comprising a liquid, A plurality of first plates having a first opening through which a first fluid is guided and a plurality of second plates having a second opening through which a second fluid is guided; and each first plate and each The second plate and the heat transfer plate are alternately stacked, A first fluid flow path having a thickness corresponding to the plate thickness of the first plate is formed by the first opening, and a second fluid having a thickness corresponding to the plate thickness of the second plate.
- the second flow path is configured by the second opening, and these two flow paths are adjacent to each other in the stacking direction via the heat transfer plate.
- both the first flow path and the second flow path are narrow flow paths having a thickness corresponding to the plate thickness of the first plate or the second plate. Since the first plate, the second plate, and the heat transfer plate are densely stacked, there are few restrictions on rigidity and strength, so that the plate thickness of the first plate or the second plate can be made sufficiently small. This is possible, and the thickness of the first flow path and the second flow path is sufficiently small. Therefore, the proportion of the temperature boundary layer in the flow flowing through each flow path becomes large, and ideally, the temperature boundary layer can occupy most of the flow. Thereby, heat exchange efficiency improves.
- a fluid (first fluid or second fluid) flows in a laminar flow in a channel (first channel or second channel) formed by two adjacent heat transfer plates. It flows as. In other words, aggressive stirring and turbulent flow formation by an inner fin or the like is not necessary. Therefore, even if the thickness of the flow path is reduced, the increase in pressure loss is relatively small.
