Die Erfindung betrifft eine Luftfeder (10), mit wenigstens einer in ihrem Volumen veränderbaren Luftkammer (12) zum Aufnehmen von Luft, und mit Adsorptionsmaterial (22), welches in der Luftkammer (12) angeordnet ist, wobei eine Einstelleinrichtung (26), mittels welcher zum variablen Einstellen einer Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder (10) eine mit der in der Luftkammer (12) aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche (24) des Adsorptionsmaterials (22) variabel einstellbar ist.

Description

Luftfeder, insbesondere für ein Fahrzeug, Fahrzeug mit wenigstens einer solchen Luftfeder sowie Verfahren zum Betreiben einer solchen Luftfeder
BESCHREIBUNG:
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Luftfeder, insbesondere für ein Fahrzeug, gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Patentanspruch 1. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein Fahrzeug, insbesondere ein Kraftfahrzeug, mit wenigstens einer solchen Luftfeder sowie ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer solchen Luftfeder.
Eine solche Luftfeder, insbesondere für ein Fahrzeug wie beispielsweise ein Kraftfahrzeug, ist beispielsweise bereits der WO 2012/052776 A1 als be- kannt zu entnehmen. Die Luftfeder weist wenigstens eine Luftkammer zum Aufnehmen von Luft auf, wobei die Luftkammer in ihrem Volumen veränder- bar beziehungsweise veränderlich ist. Außerdem umfasst die Luftfeder Ad- sorptionsmaterial, welches in der Luftkammer angeordnet ist. Das Adsorpti- onsmaterial wird auch als adsorptives Material oder als adsorbierendes Ma- terial bezeichnet. Des Weiteren offenbart die WO 2015/145148 A1 eine Luft- feder.
Außerdem ist aus der EP 2 759 733 A1 ein Luftfedersystem bekannt, wel- ches wenigstens eine Luftfeder mit mindestens einer Druckluftkammer ver- änderlichen Volumens aufweist. Die Druckluftkammer ist an eine Kompres- soreinheit als Druckluftgeber mit oder ohne einen Druckluftspeicher ange- schlossen. Ferner ist es vorgesehen, dass Drucklufträume von Luftfedern und/oder des Druckluftspeichers mit einem adsorptiven Material versehen sind. Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, eine Luftfeder, ein Fahrzeug und ein Verfahren zu schaffen, sodass die Luftfeder hinsichtlich ihrer Federstei- figkeit besonders vorteilhaft eingestellt werden kann. Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch eine Luftfeder mit den Merkma- len des Patentanspruchs 1 , durch ein Fahrzeug mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 9 sowie durch ein Verfahren mit den Merkmalen des Pa- tentanspruchs 10 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen mit zweckmäßigen Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in den übrigen Ansprüchen angegeben.
Ein erster Aspekt der Erfindung betrifft eine Luftfeder, insbesondere für ein Fahrzeug wie beispielsweise ein Kraftfahrzeug. Die Luftfeder weist wenigs- tens eine Luftkammer zum Aufnehmen von Luft, insbesondere Druckluft, auf. Mit anderen Worten ist in der Luftkammer Luft, insbesondere Druckluft, auf- nehmbar oder aufgenommen. Dabei ist die Luftkammer in ihrem Volumen veränderbar beziehungsweise veränderlich. Dies bedeutet, dass die Luft- kammer ein variabel veränderbares beziehungsweise veränderliches Volu- men aufweist. Die Luftkammer ist beispielsweise jeweils teilweise von einem Balg, insbesondere von einem Rollbalg, der Luftfeder und von einem Kolben der Luftfeder begrenzt, wobei der Kolben beispielsweise mit dem Balg ver- bunden ist. Bei Ein- und Ausfederbewegungen der Luftfeder bewegt sich beispielsweise der Kolben translatorisch, insbesondere relativ zu wenigstens einem Teil des Balgs, wobei es bei diesen translatorischen Bewegungen des Kolbens zu Volumenvergrößerungen und Volumenverkleinerungen der Luft- kammer, das heißt zu Vergrößerungen und Verkleinerungen des Volumens der Luftkammer kommt.
Die Luftfeder weist ferner ein Adsorptionsmaterial auf, welches in der Luft- kammer angeordnet ist. Das Adsorptionsmaterial wird auch als adsorptives Material oder adsorbierendes Material bezeichnet und kann beispielsweise Aktivkohle aufweisen beziehungsweise als Aktivkohle ausgebildet sein. Ins- besondere ist das Adsorptionsmaterial für Luft beziehungsweise Luftmolekü- le adsorbierend, sodass das Adsorptionsmaterial an seiner Oberfläche Luft beziehungsweise Luftmoleküle anreichert beziehungsweise anlagert, wenn das Adsorptionsmaterial, insbesondere dessen Oberfläche, mit Luft bezie- hungsweise Luftmolekülen beaufschlagt wird, das heißt in Kontakt mit Luft beziehungsweise Luftmolekülen kommt. Um nun die Luftfeder hinsichtlich ihrer auch als Luftfedersteifigkeit, Luftfe- derhärte oder Federhärte bezeichneten Federsteifigkeit besonders vorteilhaft und bedarfsgerecht einstellen zu können, ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgese- hen, dass die Luftfeder eine Einstelleinrichtung umfasst, mittels welcher zum variablen Einstellen der Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder eine mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche des Ad- sorptionsmaterials variabel einstellbar ist. Mit anderen Worten kann mittels der Einstelleinrichtung ein mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehender Teil der Oberfläche beziehungsweise eine in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft stehende Fläche beziehungs- weise Größe der Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials variiert, das heißt variabel eingestellt werden. Insbesondere ist es denkbar, dass die in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft stehende Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials mittels der Einstelleinrichtung auf unterschiedliche Größen beziehungsweise Flächen eingestellt werden kann, wobei es insbe- sondere denkbar ist, dass die mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials auf null einge- stellt werden kann, sodass beispielsweise in wenigstens einem Zustand der Einstelleinrichtung die Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials beziehungswei- se das Adsorptionsmaterial insgesamt nicht in Kontakt mit der in der Luft- kammer aufgenommenen Luft steht beziehungsweise kommt. Insbesondere ist es denkbar, dass mittels der Einstelleinrichtung mehrere, voneinander unterschiedliche und jeweils gegenüber null größere Teile der Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials, die mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommene Luft in Kontakt stehen, eingestellt werden können, wodurch unterschiedliche Federhärten beziehungsweise unterschiedliche Werte der Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder bedarfsgerecht sowie auf einfache, bauraum- und kostengüns- tige Weise eingestellt werden können. Der Erfindung liegt dabei insbesondere die Erkenntnis zugrunde, dass die jeweilige, einfach auch als Steifigkeit bezeichnete Federsteifigkeit von Luftfe- dern üblicherweise direkt mit der jeweiligen wirksamen Fläche und dem vor- handenen Luftvolumen in der jeweiligen Luftkammer zusammenhängt. Schaltbare Luftfedern sind bekannt, bei denen Volumen durch Ventile hinzu- und abgeschaltet werden können. Je nach Anzahl der unterschiedliche Vo- lumenpartitionen darstellenden, hinzu- und abschaltbaren Volumen existiert somit eine fixe Anzahl von diskreten Federsteifigkeiten. Bei Luftfedern mit hinzu- und abschaltbaren Volumen, welche auch als Schaltvolumen be- zeichnet werden, lässt sich so lediglich eine begrenzte Anzahl an diskreten Federsteifigkeiten darstellen, wobei diese unterschiedlichen Federsteifigkei- ten nur sehr bauraumaufwändig realisiert werden können. Im Gegensatz dazu ist es bei der erfindungsgemäßen Luftfeder möglich, die unterschiedli- chen Federsteifigkeiten besonders bauraum-, gewichts- und kostengünstig zu realisieren.
Dabei hat es sich als besonders vorteilhaft gezeigt, wenn die mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche mittels der Einstelleinrichtung stufenlos beziehungsweise zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierlich einstellbar ist. Hierdurch kann eine zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierliche Anpassung der auch als Federrate bezeichneten Federstei- figkeit an unterschiedliche Fahrzustände realisiert werden, was bei her- kömmlichen, schaltbaren Luftfedern nicht möglich ist. Außerdem sind bei herkömmlichen, schaltbaren Luftfedern für jedes zuschaltbare Teilvolumen zusätzliche Steuereinheiten erforderlich, die Kosten verursachen und Bau- raum benötigen. Diese Nachteile und Probleme können bei der erfindungs- gemäßen Luftfeder ebenfalls vermieden werden.
Beispielsweise erlaubt eine aktive Regelung der mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehenden Oberfläche des Adsorptionsma- terials eine aktive Regelung der Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder, wodurch bei spielsweise ein die Luftfeder aufweisendes Fahrwerk eines Fahrzeugs an unterschiedliche, jeweilige Fahrsituationen und unterschiedliche, jeweilige Fahrbahnzustände bedarfsgerecht angepasst werden kann. Dadurch können Wanken und Nicken des Fahrzeugs vermieden oder zumindest in einem besonders geringen Rahmen gehalten werden.
Eine weitere Ausführungsform zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Einstel- leinrichtung wenigstens ein Abdeckelement aufweist, wobei das Abdeckele- ment und das Adsorptionsmaterial relativ zueinander bewegbar sind, wodurch ein mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt ste- hender erster Teil der Oberfläche und ein sich an den ersten Teil anschlie- ßender und mittels des Abdeckelements von der in der Luftkammer aufge- nommenen Luft getrennter und somit nicht mit der in der Luftkammer aufge- nommenen Luft in Kontakt stehender zweiter Teil der Oberfläche variabel einstellbar sind. Wird beispielsweise der erste Teil der Oberfläche vergrößert, so geht damit beispielsweise eine Verkleinerung des zweiten Teils einher und umgekehrt. Hierdurch können die Teile und somit die Federsteifigkeit besonders einfach und bedarfsgerecht eingestellt werden.
Als besonders vorteilhaft hat es sich gezeigt, wenn das Abdeckelement ei- gensteif, das heißt formstabil ausgebildet ist. In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung weist die Einstelleinrichtung wenigs- tens einen Aktor, insbesondere wenigstens einen Motor und vorzugsweise wenigstens einen Elektromotor, auf, mittels welchem zum Einstellen der Teile und somit der Federsteifigkeit Relativbewegungen zwischen dem Ab- deckelement und dem Adsorptionsmaterial bewirkbar sind. Das Adsorpti- onsmaterial bildet beispielsweise einen eigensteifen beziehungsweise form- stabilen Körper, indem das Adsorptionsmaterial beispielsweise verdichtet beziehungsweise gepresst ist. Ferner ist es denkbar, dass das Adsorptions- material an sich als granuläre Materie ausgebildet ist, die beispielsweise in einem luftdurchlässigen beziehungsweise von Luft durchströmbaren Behält- nis aufgenommen ist. Durch die Verwendung des Aktors können die Oberflä- che und somit die Federsteifigkeit besonders bedarfsgerecht sowie beson- ders schnell eingestellt werden, sodass die Luftfeder hinsichtlich ihrer Feder- steifigkeit besonders bedarfsgerecht und schnell an sich verändernde Fahr- zustände und/oder Fahrbahnzustände angepasst werden kann. Eine besonders vorteilhafte Ausführungsform der Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Abdeckelement und das Adsorptionsmaterial transla- torisch und/oder rotatorisch relativ zueinander bewegbar sind. Dadurch kön- nen die Oberfläche beziehungsweise die Teile und somit die Federsteifigkeit besonders bedarfsgerecht sowie schnell eingestellt werden.
In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung weist die Einstelleinrichtung wenigs- tens eine Durchgangsöffnung auf, deren von Luft durchströmbarer Strö- mungsquerschnitt, über welchen die Oberfläche mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft beaufschlagbar und somit in Kontakt bringbar ist, mit- tels des Abdeckelements, insbesondere durch Relativbewegungen zwischen dem Abdeckelement und dem Absorptionsmaterial, einstellbar ist. Insbeson- dere ist es möglich, dass die Einstelleinrichtung eine Mehrzahl von vonei- nander getrennten Durchgangsöffnungen aufweist, deren jeweilige, von Luft durch ström bare Strömungsquerschnitte, über die die Oberfläche mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft beaufschlagbar ist, mittels des Abde- ckelements, insbesondere durch Relativbewegungen zwischen dem Abde- ckelement und dem Adsorptionsmaterial, einstellbar sind. Die Oberfläche und somit die Federsteifigkeit können hierdurch besonders präzise jedoch auch besonders schnell in einem großen Verstellbereich eingestellt werden, sodass beispielsweise die Federsteifigkeit zumindest im Wesentlichen konti- nuierlich verstellt werden kann.
Die Durchgangsöffnungen sind beispielsweise in Umfangsrichtung des Ad- sorptionsmaterials, insbesondere gleichmäßig, verteilt angeordnet, sodass sich beispielsweise bei zumindest teilweiser Freigabe der Durchgangsöff- nungen beziehungsweise der Strömungsquerschnitte besonders schnell Luftmoleküle an der Oberfläche anlagern beziehungsweise anreichern kön- nen.
Bei einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung umfasst die Luftfeder wenigstens ein zumindest teilweise in dem Adsorptionsmaterial angeordne- tes und zumindest luftdichtes Trennelement, mittels welchem wenigstens ein erster Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials von wenigstens einem zweiten Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials, insbesondere Luftdicht, getrennt beziehungsweise abgetrennt ist. Mittels des Trennelements können beispielsweise uner- wünschte, innerhalb des Adsorptionsmaterials erfolgende Luftströmungen vermieden werden. Insbesondere kann mittels des Trennelements vermie- den werden, dass beispielsweise dann, wenn die Oberfläche des Adsorpti- onsmaterials in dem ersten Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials von der Einstellein richtung freigegeben und währenddessen in dem zweiten Teil des Adsorpti- onsmaterials noch von der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft getrennt wird, insbesondere dadurch, dass die Einstelleinrichtung die Oberfläche in dem zweiten Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials, insbesondere nach außen be- ziehungsweise zur Luftkammer hin, abdeckt, Luft, die in Kontakt mit der Oberfläche des ersten Teils des Adsorptionsmaterials kommen kann, inner- halb des Adsorptionsmaterials von dem ersten Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials zu dem zweiten Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials strömt. Mit anderen Worten kann mithilfe des Trennelements die Oberfläche in dem zweiten Teil des Adsorptionsmaterials innerhalb des Adsorptionsmaterials von dem ersten Teil und somit von der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft abgetrennt gehalten werden, während die Oberfläche in dem ersten Teil des Adsorpti- onsmaterials in Kontakt mit der Luft steht. Hierdurch kann die Steifigkeit der Luftfeder präzise und bedarfsgerecht eingestellt werden.
Das Trennelement ist vorzugsweise ein von dem Adsorptionsmaterial unter- schiedliches, zusätzlich dazu vorgesehenes Element. Insbesondere kann das Trennelement aus einem Kunststoff oder aus einem metallischen Werk- Stoff gebildet sein. Ferner ist es denkbar, dass das Trennelement aus einem auch als Keramikwerkstoff bezeichneten keramischen Werkstoff gebildet ist. Außerdem ist es möglich, dass das Trennelement als eine Klebeschicht ausgebildet ist. Als besonders vorteilhaft hat es sich gezeigt, wenn das Trennelement eigen- steif und somit formstabil ist. Dadurch können die Teile des Adsorptionsma- terials besonders gut voneinander getrennt werden, sodass die Federsteifig- keit bedarfsgerecht und präzise eingestellt werden kann. Das Trennelement könnte Teil eines Monolithen sein, der aus verschiedenen Materialien aufge- baut ist. Die Materialien umfassen beispielsweise das insbesondere als Ak- tivkohle ausgebildete oder zumindest Aktivkohle aufweisende Adsorptions- material und Trennmaterial, aus welchem das Trennelement gebildet ist. Die Luftfeder kann eine eigene Baueinheit ausgebildet und als eigene Kom- ponente, das heißt beispielsweise unabhängig von einem Stoßdämpfer ver- baubar beziehungsweise verbaut sein. Denkbar ist ferner, dass die Luftfeder in einem Federbein verwendbar oder verwendet ist und somit mit einem Stoßdämpfer das Federbein bildet. Mit anderen Worten ist die Luftfeder bei- spielsweise Bestandteil eines Federbeins, welches die Luftfeder und einen Stoßdämpfer aufweist. Somit gehört zur Erfindung auch ein Federbein, wel- ches wenigstens eine erfindungsgemäße Luftfeder aufweist.
Ein zweiter Aspekt der Erfindung betrifft ein Fahrzeug, insbesondere ein Kraftfahrzeug. Vorzugsweise ist das Fahrzeug als Kraftwagen, insbesondere als Personenkraftwagen, ausgebildet. Das Fahrzeug weist wenigstens eine erfindungsgemäße Luftfeder gemäß dem ersten Aspekt der Erfindung auf. Vorteile und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des ersten Aspekts der Erfindung sind als Vorteile und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des zweiten Aspekts der Erfindung anzusehen und umgekehrt.
Ein dritter Aspekt der Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Luftfeder, insbesondere einer erfindungsgemäßen Luftfeder gemäß dem ersten Aspekt der Erfindung. Die Luftfeder weist bei dem dritten Aspekt der Erfindung wenigstens eine in ihrem Volumen veränderbare Luftkammer zum Aufnehmen von Luft und in der Luftkammer angeordnetes Adsorptionsmate- rial auf. Bei dem Verfahren zum Betreiben der Luftfeder wird deren Feder- steifigkeit beziehungsweise Federhärte variabel eingestellt, indem mittels einer Einstelleinrichtung eine mit der in der Luftkammer aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials variabel eingestellt wird. Vorteile und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des ersten Aspekts und des zweiten Aspekts der Erfindung sind als Vorteile und vorteilhafte Ausgestal- tungen des dritten Aspekts der Erfindung anzusehen und umgekehrt. Zu der Erfindung gehören auch Weiterbildungen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, die Merkmale aufweisen, wie sie bereits im Zusammenhang mit den Weiterbildungen der erfindungsgemäßen Luftfeder und des erfindungs- gemäßen Kraftfahrzeugs beschrieben worden sind. Aus diesem Grund sind die entsprechenden Weiterbildungen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens hier nicht noch einmal beschrieben. Die Erfindung umfasst auch die Kombi- nationen der Merkmale der beschriebenen Ausführungsformen.
Im Folgenden sind Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung beschrieben. Hierzu zeigt:
Fig. 1 eine schematische und geschnittene Seitenansicht einer erfin- dungsgemäßen Luftfeder gemäß einer ersten Ausführungsform; und
Fig. 2 eine schematische und geschnittene Seitenansicht der Luftfe- der gemäß einer zweiten Ausführungsform.
Bei den im Folgenden erläuterten Ausführungsbeispielen handelt es sich um bevorzugte Ausführungsformen der Erfindung. Bei den Ausführungsbeispie- len stellen die beschriebenen Komponenten der Ausführungsformen jeweils einzelne, unabhängig voneinander zu betrachtende Merkmale der Erfindung dar, welche die Erfindung jeweils auch unabhängig voneinander weiterbilden und damit auch einzeln oder in einer anderen als der gezeigten Kombination als Bestandteil der Erfindung anzusehen sind. Des Weiteren sind die be- schriebenen Ausführungsformen auch durch weitere der bereits beschriebe- nen Merkmale der Erfindung ergänzbar.
In den Figuren bezeichnen gleiche Bezugszeichen jeweils funktionsgleiche Elemente.
Fig. 1 zeigt in einer schematischen Seitenansicht eine Luftfeder 10 für ein Kraftfahrzeug, insbesondere für einen beispielsweise als Personen kraftwa- gen ausgebildeten Kraftwagen. Die Luftfeder 10 ist beispielsweise Bestand- teil eines Fahrwerks des Kraftfahrzeugs, welches das Fahrwerk in vollständig hergestelltem Zustand des Kraftfahrzeugs umfasst. Über die Luftfeder 10 ist beispielsweise im vollständig hergestellten Zustand des Kraftfahrzeugs we- nigstens ein Rad des Kraftfahrzeugs zumindest gefedert an einem beispiels weise als selbsttragende Karosserie ausgebildeten Aufbau des Kraftfahr- zeugs abgestützt.
Die Luftfeder 10 weist wenigstens eine Luftkammer 12 auf, welche in ihrem Volumen veränderbar ist. Mit anderen Worten weist die Luftkammer 12 ein veränderbares Volumen auf. In der Luftkammer 12 ist Luft, insbesondere Druckluft, aufnehmbar beziehungsweise aufgenommen. Die Luftkammer 12 ist beispielsweise jeweils teilweise begrenzt durch ein erstes Anbindungs- element 14, ein zweites Anbindungselement 16 und einen auch als Feder- balg oder Luftfederbalg bezeichneten Balg 18 der Luftfeder 10. Dabei ist der Balg 18 beispielsweise mit den jeweiligen Anbindungselementen 14 und 16 verbunden. Über das Anbindungselement 14 ist die Luftfeder 10 beispiels weise zumindest mittelbar an den Aufbau anbindbar. Mit anderen Worten kann die Luftfeder 10 beispielsweise über das Anbindungselement 14 zu- mindest mittelbar an dem Aufbau abgestützt beziehungsweise mit dem Auf- bau gekoppelt werden. Beispielsweise kann die Luftfeder 10 über das Anbin- dungselement 14 an einem Feder- und/oder Dämpferdom des Aufbaus ab- gestützt, insbesondere mit dem einfach auch als Dom bezeichneten Feder- und/oder Dämpferdom verbunden, werden. Wieder mit anderen Worten ausgedrückt dient das Anbindungselement 14 beispielsweise zur fahrzeug- seitigen Anbindung der Luftfeder 10.
Über das Anbindungselement 16 kann die Luftfeder 10 mit dem zuvor ge- nannten Rad gekoppelt werden, sodass beispielsweise das Anbindungsele- ment 16 zur radseitigen Anbindung der Luftfeder 10 dient.
Eines der Anbindungselemente 14 und 16 umfasst beispielsweise einen Kolben oder ist als ein Kolben ausgebildet, wobei der Kolben beispielsweise als Abrollkolben ausgebildet ist. Dabei ist der Balg 18 beispielsweise als Rollbalg ausgebildet, welcher bei Ein- und Ausfederbewegungen an dem Abrollkolben abrollt. Bei Ein- und Ausfederbewegungen der Luftfeder 10 kommt es zu translatorischen Relativbewegungen zwischen den Anbin- dungselementen 14 und 16. Beispielsweise bewegen sich die Anbindungs- elemente 14 und 16 bei einer Einfederbewegung translatorisch aufeinander zu, sodass der Rollbalg zumindest teilweise auf den Abrollkolben aufgerollt wird. Bei einer Ausfederbewegung bewegen sich die Anbindungselemente 14 und 16 translatorisch voneinander weg, sodass der Rollbalg zumindest teilweise von dem Abrollkolben abgerollt wird. Andere Ausführungen bezie- hungsweise Bauvarianten der Luftfeder 10 sind ohne Weiteres denkbar. Bei der Einfederbewegung erfolgt eine Verkleinerung des Volumens der Luft- kammer 12, wobei bei der Ausfederbewegung eine Vergrößerung des Volu- mens der Luftkammer 12 erfolgt. Die Ein- und Ausfederbewegungen und somit die translatorischen Relativbewegungen zwischen den Anbindungs- elementen 14 und 16 sind in Fig. 1 durch einen Doppelpfeil 20 veranschau- licht beziehungsweise erfolgen entlang einer in Fig. 1 durch den Doppelpfeil 20 veranschaulichten Richtung.
Die Luftfeder 10 umfasst darüber hinaus Adsorptionsmaterial 22, welches in der Luftkammer 12, die jeweils teilweise durch die Anbindungselemente 14 und 16 und den Balg 18 begrenzt beziehungsweise gebildet ist, angeordnet ist. Das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 wird auch als adsorptives Material oder als adsorbierendes Material bezeichnet und ist beispielsweise ein zumindest Luft beziehungsweise zumindest oder ausschließlich Luftmoleküle adsorbieren- des Material, sodass sich beispielsweise zumindest oder ausschließlich Luftmoleküle an dem Adsorptionsmaterial 22, insbesondere an dessen Ober- fläche 24 anreichern beziehungsweise ablagern. Mit anderen Worten ist das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 beispielsweise dazu ausgebildet, Luft beziehungs- weise Luftmoleküle zu adsorbieren. Um nun die Luftfeder 10 hinsichtlich ihrer auch als Federhärte, Luftfederhärte oder Luftfedersteifigkeit bezeichneten Federsteifigkeit besonders vorteilhaft einstellen zu können, umfasst die Luftfeder 10 eine in der Luftkammer 12 angeordnete Einstelleinrichtung 26, mittels welcher zum variablen Einstellen der Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 die mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufge- nommene Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche 24 des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 variabel eingestellt werden kann. Dabei zeigt Fig. 1 eine erste Ausfüh- rungsform der Luftfeder 10. Insbesondere kann beispielsweise vorgesehen sein, dass die Federsteifigkeit zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierlich beziehungsweise stufenlos oder aber in Stufen eingestellt werden kann, insbesondere dann, wenn einzelne, voneinander abgetrennte Segmente des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 vorgesehen sind. Diese Stufen können sehr klein sein und eine hohe Anzahl aufweisen, sodass die Federhärte sehr präzise auf unterschiedliche Werte eingestellt werden kann, deren Anzahl beispiels- weise mit der Anzahl der Stufen beziehungsweise der Segmente korrespon- dieren kann.
Fig. 1 zeigt eine erste Ausführungsform der Luftfeder 10. Bei der ersten Aus- führungsform umfasst die Einstelleinrichtung 26 wenigstens oder genau ein als Abdeckelement fungierendes Gehäuseelement 28, welches wenigstens oder genau einen Aufnahmeraum 30 begrenzt beziehungsweise bildet. Das Gehäuseelement 28 und das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 können zum Einstellen der mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehenden Oberfläche 24 und somit zum Einstellen der Federsteifigkeit, insbesondere translatorisch, relativ zueinander bewegt werden. Durch translatorisches Bewegen des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 und des Gehäuseelements 28 relativ zueinander kann das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 in den Aufnahmeraum 30 hin- einbewegt und aus dem Aufnahmeraum 30 herausbewegt werden. Mit ande- ren Worten, werden beispielsweise das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 und das Gehäuseelement 28 in eine erste Richtung relativ zueinander bewegt, so wird beispielsweise das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 zumindest teilweise aus dem Aufnahmeraum 30 und somit aus dem Gehäuseelement 28 herausbewegt. Die erste Richtung fällt beispielsweise mit der durch den Doppelpfeil 20 ver- anschaulichten Richtung zusammen und ist in Fig. 1 durch einen Pfeil 32 veranschaulicht. Werden das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 und das Gehäuseele- ment 28 beispielsweise in eine der ersten Richtung entgegengesetzte und in Fig. 1 durch einen Pfeil 34 veranschaulichte zweite Richtung relativ zueinan- der, insbesondere translatorisch, bewegt, so wird beispielsweise das Adsorp- tionsmaterial 22 zumindest teilweise in den Aufnahmeraum 30 und somit in das Gehäuseelement 28 hineinbewegt. Die zweite Richtung fällt beispiels weise mit der durch den Doppelpfeil 20 veranschaulichten Richtung zusam- men. Durch Herausbewegen des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 aus dem Aufnah- meraum 30 wird die Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials 22, die mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt steht, vergrößert, sodass ein wirksames, die Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 beeinflussendes Luftvo- lumen der Luftfeder 10 vergrößert wird. Das wirksame Luftvolumen wird vergrößert, da sich durch das Herausbewegen des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 und das damit einhergehende Vergrößern der Oberfläche, die mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt steht, zusätzliche Luftmole- küle an dem Adsorptionsmaterial 22, insbesondere an dessen Oberfläche 24, anlagern. Dies führt zu einer Reduktion der Federsteifigkeit bei gleichem Bauraum.
Durch Bewegen des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 in den Aufnahmeraum 30 wird die mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 verkleinert, wodurch das wirksame Luftvolumen verringert wird. Hierdurch wird die Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 erhöht. Insbesondere können das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 und das Ge- häuseelement 28 zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierlich beziehungsweise stufenlos relativ zueinander, insbesondere translatorisch, bewegt werden, wodurch die Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierlich beziehungsweise stufenlos eingestellt, das heißt auf voneinan- der unterschiedliche und gegenüber nur größere Werte eingestellt werden kann.
Das Gehäuseelement 28 und das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 können in unter- schiedliche Stellungen relativ zueinander bewegt werden, indem das Gehäu- seelement 28 und das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 relativ zueinander bewegt werden. In Fig. 1 ist eine der Stellungen gezeigt. In der in Fig. 1 gezeigten einen Stellung steht ein erster Teil T1 der Oberfläche 24 in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft, während ein sich an den ersten Teil T1 anschließender zweiter Teil T2 mittels des Gehäuseelements 28 von der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft getrennt ist, da der erste Teil T1 außerhalb des Gehäuseelements 28 angeordnet ist, während der Teil T2 in dem Aufnahmeraum 30 und somit in dem Gehäuseelement 28 aufge- nommen ist. Durch Bewegen des Gehäuseelements 28 und des Adsorpti- onsmaterials 22 relativ zueinander können die Teile T1 und T2 bedarfsge- recht und dabei zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierlich beziehungsweise stufenlos eingestellt werden.
Insgesamt ist erkennbar, dass es je nach Zustand der Einstelleinrichtung 26 zu einem Luftaustausch zwischen oberflächennahen Luftmolekülen und dem Arbeitsvolumen der Luftfeder 10 kommen kann, wodurch die Federsteifigkeit bedarfsgerecht eingestellt werden kann. Die Einstelleinrichtung 26 ist dabei ein zumindest im Wesentlichen kontinuierlich verstellbarer Mechanismus, mittels welchem der Teil T 1 , der mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenomme- nen Luft in Kontakt steht, und der Teil T2, welcher von der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft fluidisch getrennt ist, graduell verändert werden können. Der jeweilige Teil T1 und T2 wird auch als jeweiliger Anteil bezeich- net, wobei der Teil T1 auch als einstellbare wirksame Oberfläche des Ad- sorptionsmaterials 22 bezeichnet wird, da sich an dem Teil T1 und somit an der einstellbaren wirksamen Oberfläche zusätzliche Luftmoleküle anlagern können, insbesondere durch Absorption. Durch diese einstellbare wirksame Oberfläche kann die Anzahl an wirksamen Luftmolekülen variabel eingestellt werden, wodurch das wirksame Luftvolumen der Luftfeder 10 und somit ihre Federsteifigkeit variabel eingestellt werden können. Wird beispielsweise das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 ausgehend von der in Fig. 1 gezeigten, einen Stellung weiter aus dem Gehäuseelement 28 herausbe- wegt, so wird der Teil T1 vergrößert, während der Teil T2 verkleinert wird. Wird das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 jedoch ausgehend von der in Fig. 1 gezeig- ten einen Stellung weiter in das Gehäuseelement 28 und somit in den Auf- nahmeraum 30 hineinbewegt, so wird der Teil T1 verkleinert, während der Teil T2 vergrößert wird. Vorzugsweise sind jeweilige, mehrere, voneinander unterschiedliche und gegenüber null größere Werte der Teile T1 und T2 einstellbar. Ferner ist es vorzugsweise vorgesehen, dass der jeweilige Teil T1 beziehungsweise T2 auf null eingestellt werden kann, sodass beispiels- weise das gesamte Adsorptionsmaterial 22 in dem Aufnahmeraum 30 ange- ordnet und somit von der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft ge- trennt werden kann und sodass beispielsweise das gesamte Adsorptionsma- terial 22 außerhalb des Aufnahmeraums 30 angeordnet und somit in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft kommen kann.
Um beispielsweise zu vermeiden, dass Luft beziehungsweise Luftmoleküle innerhalb des Adsorptionsmaterials 22 von dem außerhalb des Aufnahme- raums 30 angeordneten Teil T1 in den beziehungsweise zu dem noch in dem Aufnahmeraum 30 angeordneten Teil T2 strömt beziehungsweise strömen, ist das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 in mehrere, auch als Teile bezeichnete Parti- tionen 36 unterteilt, wobei diese Partitionen 36 beispielsweise entlang der jeweiligen Richtung aufeinanderfolgend beziehungsweise hintereinander angeordnet sowie vorzugsweise fluidisch beziehungsweise luftdicht vonei- nander getrennt sind. Um das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 in die Partitionen 36 aufzuteilen beziehungsweise zu unterteilen, sind mehrere, luftdichte Trenn- elemente 38 vorgesehen. Die Trennelemente 38 sind entlang der jeweiligen Richtung aufeinanderfolgend beziehungsweise hintereinander angeordnet und dabei voneinander beabstandet, sodass sich beispielsweise entlang der jeweiligen Richtung an das jeweilige Trennelement 38 die jeweilige Partition 36 des Adsorptionsmaterials 22, insbesondere direkt, anschließt. Die Trenn- elemente 38 sind dabei jeweils zumindest teilweise, insbesondere zumindest überwiegend oder vollständig, in dem Adsorptionsmaterial 22 angeordnet und luftdicht, sodass die Trennelemente 38 nicht von Luft durchströmt wer- den können. Dadurch kommen nur die Partitionen 36 in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft, die außerhalb des Aufnahme- raums 30 angeordnet sind, während die Partitionen 36, die währenddessen noch in dem Aufnahmeraum 30 aufgenommen sind, nicht in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft kommen. Dadurch kann die in Kontakt mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft stehende Ober- fläche beziehungsweise der jeweilige Teil T1 beziehungsweise T2 besonders präzise und bedarfsgerecht eingestellt werden, sodass die Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 bedarfsgerecht eingestellt werden kann. Mit anderen Worten kann durch die Trennelemente 38 ein unerwünschter Luftaustausch inner- halb des beispielsweise als Aktivkohle ausgebildeten Adsorptionsmaterials 22 vermieden werden.
Bei der in Fig. 1 gezeigten ersten Ausführungsform umfasst die Luftfeder 10 beispielsweise einen in Fig. 1 besonders schematisch dargestellten und beispielsweise als Elektromotor ausgebildeten Motor 40, mittels welchem die zuvor beschriebenen Relativbewegungen zwischen dem Gehäuseelement 28 und dem Adsorptionsmaterial 22 bewirkt werden können. Mit anderen Worten können das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 und das Gehäuseelement 28 mittels des Motors 40 relativ zueinander, insbesondere translatorisch, be- wegt werden. Der Motor 40 ist somit ein Aktor, mittels welchem die Relativ- bewegungen zwischen dem Gehäuseelement 28 und dem Adsorptionsmate- rial 22 bewirkt werden können. Beispielsweise ist es möglich, dass das Ge- häuseelement 28 relativ zu dem Anbindungselement 14 unbeweglich ist, sodass beispielsweise das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 mittels des Motors 40 relativ zu dem Gehäuseelement 28 und relativ zu dem Anbindungselement 14, insbesondere translatorisch, bewegt werden kann. Alternativ dazu ist es denkbar, dass das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 relativ zu dem Anbindungsele- ment 14 unbeweglich ist, sodass beispielsweise das Gehäuseelement 28 mittels des Motors 40 relativ zu dem Adsorptionsmaterial 22 und relativ zu dem Anbindungselement 14, insbesondere translatorisch, bewegbar ist. Bei der ersten Ausführungsform sind das Gehäuseelement 28 und das Adsorpti- onsmaterial 22 ausschließlich translatorisch relativ zueinander bewegbar, um dadurch die Federsteifigkeit einzustellen.
Fig. 2 zeigt eine zweite Ausführungsform der Luftfeder 10. Bei der zweiten Ausführungsform ist das als Abdeckelement fungierende Gehäuseelement 28 beispielsweise relativ zu dem Adsorptionsmaterial 22 rotatorisch beweg- bar, das heißt drehbar, was in Fig. 2 durch Pfeile 42 veranschaulicht ist. Dies bedeutet beispielsweise, dass bei der zweiten Ausführungsform das Adsorp- tionsmaterial 22 und das Gehäuseelement 28 mittels des Motors 40 relativ zueinander gedreht und dabei beispielsweise ausschließlich rotatorisch rela- tiv zueinander bewegt werden können, um die Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 einzustellen. Bei der zweiten Ausführungsform fungiert das Gehäuseelement 28 bei spielsweise als Verschlussscheibe, mittels welcher jeweilige, von Luft durch- strömbare Strömungsquerschnitte von jeweiligen Durchgangsöffnungen 44 der Einstelleinrichtung 26 eingestellt werden können. Beispielsweise sind das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 und das Gehäuseelement 28 um eine Drehachse 46 relativ zueinander drehbar, um dadurch die in Kontakt mit der in der Luft- kammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft stehende, wirksame Oberfläche und somit die Federsteifigkeit einzustellen. Dabei sind beispielsweise die Durchgangs- Öffnungen 44 in um die Drehachse verlaufende Umfangsrichtung des Ad- sorptionsmaterials 22, insbesondere gleichmäßig, verteilt angeordnet und dabei voneinander getrennt. Die Durchgangsöffnungen 44 sind beispielswei- se durch Wandungen der Einstelleinrichtung 26, insbesondere eines Abdeck- teils der Einstelleinrichtung 26, begrenzt und voneinander getrennt, wobei beispielsweise das Adsorptionsmaterial 22 in dem Abdeckteil angeordnet ist. Das Abdeckteil ist dabei beispielsweise in dem Gehäuseelement 28 ange- ordnet. Das Gehäuseelement 28 weist dabei weitere Wandungen auf, mittels welchen zum Einstellen der Strömungsquerschnitte die Durchgangsöffnun- gen 44 verschließbar und freigebbar sind. Wird beispielsweise das Gehäu- seelement 28 in eine erste Drehrichtung um die Drehachse 46 relativ zu dem genannten Abdeckteil gedreht, so werden dadurch beispielsweise die Durch- gangsöffnungen 44 und somit deren Strömungsquerschnitte zumindest teil- weise verschlossen. Wird jedoch beispielsweise das Gehäuseelement 28 in eine der ersten Drehrichtung entgegengesetzte zweite Drehrichtung relativ zu dem Abdeckteil gedreht, so werden dadurch die Durchgangsöffnungen 44 und somit ihre Strömungsquerschnitte freigegeben. Durch Freigeben der Strömungsquerschnitte wird die einstellbare wirksame Oberfläche, die mit der in der Luftkammer 12 aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt steht beziehungs- weise kommt, vergrößert. Durch Versperren beziehungsweise Verkleinern der Strömungsquerschnitte wird die einstellbare wirksame Oberfläche ver- kleinert. Auf diese Weise können die einstellbare wirksame Oberfläche und somit die Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder 10 besonders präzise, einfach und bauraumgünstig eingestellt werden. Insbesondere kann die Federsteifigkeit kontinuierlich eingestellt und somit verändert werden, sodass die Luftfeder 10 besonders flexibel beziehungsweise bedarfsgerecht an unterschiedliche Fahrsituationen und/oder Fahrbahnzustände angepasst werden kann. In der Folge können Wanken und Nicken des Kraftfahrzeugs vermieden oder zu- mindest besonders gering gehalten werden. Insbesondere können das Ad- sorptionsmaterial 22 und das Gehäuseelement 28 stufenlos relativ zueinan- der bewegt werden, sodass die Federsteifigkeit stufenlos eingestellt werden kann.

Claims

PATENTANSPRÜCHE:
Luftfeder (10), mit wenigstens einer in ihrem Volumen veränderbaren Luftkammer (12) zum Aufnehmen von Luft, und mit Adsorptionsmaterial (22), welches in der Luftkammer (12) angeordnet ist,
gekennzeichnet durch
eine Einstelleinrichtung (26), mittels welcher zum variablen Einstellen einer Federsteifigkeit der Luftfeder (10) eine mit der in der Luftkammer (12) aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche (24) des Ad- sorptionsmaterials (22) variabel einstellbar ist.
Luftfeder (10) nach Anspruch 1 ,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die mit der in der Luftkammer (12) aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt ste- hende Oberfläche (24) mittels der Einstelleinrichtung (26) stufenlos ein- stellbar ist.
Luftfeder (10) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Einstelleinrichtung (26) wenigstens ein Abdeckelement (28) auf- weist, wobei das Abdeckelement (28) und das Adsorptionsmaterial (22) relativ zueinander bewegbar sind, wodurch ein mit der in der Luftkam- mer (12) aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehender erster Teil (T1 ) der Oberfläche (24) und ein sich an den ersten Teil (T1 ) anschließender und mittels des Abdeckelements (28) von der in der Luftkammer (12) aufgenommenen Luft getrennter zweiter Teil (T2) der Oberfläche (24) variabel einstellbar sind.
Luftfeder (10) nach Anspruch 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Einstelleinrichtung (26) wenigstens einen Motor (40), insbesondere einen Elektromotor, aufweist, mittels welchem zum Einstellen der Teile (T1 , T2) Relativbewegungen zwischen dem Abdeckelement (28) und dem Adsorptionsmaterial (22) bewirkbar sind.
5. Luftfeder (10) nach Anspruch 3 oder 4,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
das Abdeckelement (28) und das Adsorptionsmaterial (22) translato- risch und/oder rotatorisch relativ zueinander bewegbar sind.
6. Luftfeder (10) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 3 bis 5,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Einstelleinrichtung (26) wenigstens eine Durchgangsöffnung (44) aufweist, deren von Luft durchströmbarer Strömungsquerschnitt, über welchen die Oberfläche (24) mit der in der Luftkammer (12) aufgenom- menen Luft beaufschlagbar ist, mittels des Abdeckelements (28), ins- besondere durch Relativbewegungen zwischen dem Abdeckelement (28) und dem Adsorptionsmaterial (22), einstellbar ist.
7. Luftfeder (10) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
gekennzeichnet durch
wenigstens ein zumindest teilweise in dem Adsorptionsmaterial (22) angeordnetes und zumindest luftdichtes Trennelement (38), mittels welchem wenigstens ein erster Teil (36) des Adsorptionsmaterials (22) von wenigstens einem zweiten Teil (36) des Adsorptionsmaterials (22) getrennt ist.
8. Luftfeder (10) nach Anspruch 7,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
das Trennelement (38) eigensteif ist.
9. Fahrzeug, mit wenigstens einer Luftfeder (10) nach einem der vorher- gehenden Ansprüche.
10. Verfahren zum Betreiben einer wenigstens eine in ihrem Volumen ver- änderbare Luftkammer (12) zum Aufnehmen von Luft und in der Luft- kammer (12) angeordnetes Adsorptionsmaterial (22) aufweisenden Luftfeder (10), deren Federsteifigkeit variabel eingestellt wird, indem mittels einer Einstelleinrichtung (26) eine mit der in der Luftkammer (12) aufgenommenen Luft in Kontakt stehende Oberfläche (24) des Adsorp- tionsmaterials (22) variabel eingestellt wird.
