Abstract
Description
本願は、2018年2月27日に、日本に出願された特願2018-033704号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
図1は、本実施形態における広告システムの構成例を示している。図1の広告システムにおいて、広告主CO1は、広告会社CO2に対して広告を依頼する。広告会社CO2は、広告主CO1からの依頼を受けて、広告としてどのような施策をとるべきかを検討し、検討した施策に沿った広告を、広告提供手段300を用いて行う。広告提供手段300は、広告会社CO2が広告提供対象者(以下、単に「対象者」と記載する)YSに広告を提供するにあたって利用する手段である。広告提供手段300は、対象者に広告を提供できる手段であれば特に限定されない。広告提供手段300は、ウェブページに広告を掲載するためのウェブサーバが含まれてよい。また、広告提供手段300は、新聞の折り込み広告、ダイレクトメールなどが含まれてよい。また、広告提供手段300は、テレビジョン放送やラジオ放送などであってもよい。
広告主CO1は、広告主CO1から渡されたレスポンスの集計結果を利用して、広告効果を評価する。
本実施形態においては、広告効果の評価にあたり、評価対象地域設定情報1221により示される評価対象地域ごとに広告効果を評価する。知見として、広告提供手段300の種類にもよるが、評価対象の地域で有意な広告評価を行うために必要なレスポンス数(目標レスポンス数)はほぼ定まっている。そして、目標レスポンス数が定まれば、目標レスポンス数を得るのに必要とされる対象者YSの数(目標対象者数)も定まる。本実施形態における評価対象地域は、そこに存在する対象者YSの数が目標対象者数に基づいて定めた所定の条件(地域設定条件)を満たすように設定される地域である。なお、目標対象者数は、広告提供手段300や広告の内容等にもよるが、一例として20000人程度である。目標対象者数が20000人であると定められた場合、評価対象地域における対象者数は、地域設定条件に基づいて、20000を基準として定めた所定の条件に該当するようにされている。
本実施形態において、評価対象地域は、広告会社CO2が有する広告関連情報処理装置100により設定され、設定結果が、評価対象地域設定情報1221として得られる。広告関連情報処理装置100による評価対象地域の設定処理については後述する。
図2を参照して、広告関連情報処理装置100の構成例について説明する。図2の広告関連情報処理装置100は、制御部101、記憶部102、操作部103、及び表示部104を備える。
制御部101は、地域設定部111を備える。地域設定部111は、評価対象地域を設定する。地域設定部111は、郵便番号区画(所定の区分規則に従って地域を区分して得られる区画の一例)ごとに、広告提供の対象となる対象者の数を対応付けた区画別対象者数情報に基づいて、予め定められた順序で区画を選択していく。地域設定部111は、選択された区画の広告対象者数の累積数が予め定められた数値範囲(目標対象者数の範囲)に到達した段階で選択された区画を有する1つの評価対象地域を設定していく処理(地域設定処理)を実行する。
地域設定部111は、上記の地域設定処理による評価対象地域の設定結果を示す評価対象地域設定情報1221を生成する。地域設定部111は、生成された評価対象地域設定情報1221を、評価対象地域設定情報記憶部122に記憶させる。
ここで、区画番号ごとに対応付けられる郵便番号区画は、例えば区画番号「0」の郵便番号区画を起点として、区画番号の順に従って、順次、1つ前の郵便番号区画と隣接する郵便番号区画が対応付けられる。一例として、区画番号「0」には、国全域において最も北に位置する郵便番号区画が対応付けられ、区画番号「1」以降については、南下していくようにして、順次、1つ前の郵便番号区画と隣接する郵便番号区画が対応付けられる。
評価対象地域番号は、対応の評価対象地域に付される番号(識別子)を示す。該当区画の領域は、対応の評価対象地域に含まれる郵便番号区画(該当区画)を示す。累積対象者数は、対応の評価対象地域における対象者の総数であり、対応の該当区画に含まれる郵便番号区画ごとの対象者数を総計したものとなる。
表示部104は、広告関連情報処理装置100が備える表示デバイスあるいは広告関連情報処理装置100に接続される表示デバイスを備え、制御部101の制御に応じて画像を表示する。
図5を参照して、本実施形態の広告関連情報処理装置100が実行する地域設定処理の一例について説明する。
図5においては、区画別対象者数情報記憶部121が記憶する区画別対象者数情報が示されている。
広告関連情報処理装置100の地域設定部111は、操作者の操作部103に対する所定操作によって、地域設定処理の実行が指示されることに応じて、地域設定処理を開始する。
地域設定部111は、区画番号ごとに対応して対象者数を累積する都度、累積された対象者数(累積対象者数)が地域設定条件を満たしたか否かについて判定する。
図5の説明にあたり、地域設定条件は、累積対象者数が目標対象者数に基づく閾値以上である場合を例に挙げる。この場合、目標対象者数を閾値としてよい。あるいは、目標対象者数について、必要なレスポンス数を得るのに最低限必要な数に対して一定のマージンを考慮して設定されているような場合には、目標対象者数から一定値を減じた数値を閾値として定め、累積対象者数が閾値以上であることを地域設定条件としてもよい。
そこで、地域設定部111は、区画番号「a+1」~「b」ごとに対応する郵便番号区画の集合による地域を2つめの評価対象地域(第2評価対象地域)として設定し、これまでの累積対象者数をクリアする。
最後の区画番号「N」まで対象者数を累積した結果、区画番号「N-1」~「N」に対応する累積対象者数が地域設定条件を満たしていれば、そのまま区画番号「N-1」~「N」に対応する郵便番号区画による地域を、最後の第M評価対象地域として設定してよい。
一方、最後の区画番号「N」まで対象者数を累積した結果、区画番号「N-1」~「N」に対応する累積対象者数は、目標対象者に対して相当に少ないことで、地域設定条件を満たさない場合がある。この場合、地域設定部111は、例えば区画番号「N-1」~「N」の郵便番号区画を、これまでに設定された評価対象地域に含めるようにして調整する処理を行ってよい。この場合には、地域設定部111は、区画番号「N-1」~「N」の郵便番号区画と近い郵便番号区画を含む評価対象地域に、区画番号「N-1」~「N」の郵便番号区画を含めるように調整することが好ましい。このような調整を行うにあたっては、地域設定部111は、地図上に区画番号ごとの郵便番号区画が対応付けられた地図情報を参照してよい。また、地域設定部111は、区画番号「N-1」~「N」の郵便番号区画は、適宜、複数の評価対象地域に分散して含めるように調整してよい。この場合には、区画番号「N-2」の郵便番号区画を含んで設定された評価対象地域が、最後の第M評価対象地域となる。
図6のフローチャートを参照して、広告関連情報処理装置100が地域設定処理に関して実行する処理手順例について説明する。
ステップS103:地域設定部111は、ステップS102により取得した対象者数tnumを、累積対象者数Tnumに加算する(累積する)ことで、累積対象者数Tnumを更新する。
地域設定条件は、例えば前述のように、累積対象者数が目標対象者数に基づいて定められる閾値以上であること、であってよい。
このような地域設定条件のもとで、ステップS104の判定において、累積対象者数が閾値の上限を超えた場合、地域設定部111は、例えば最後に対象者数を累積した郵便番号区画について、閾値の上限までの対象者数を含む1つ目の郵便番号区画(第1分割郵便番号区画)と、第1分割郵便番号区画に含まれなかった残りの対象者数を含む2つ目の分割郵便番号区画(第2分割郵便番号区画)とに分割する。そして、地域設定部111は、第1分割郵便番号区画に対応する対象者数までを累積して求められる数値に累積対象者数を補正する。地域設定部111は、このように補正した累積対象者数により、ステップS104にて地域設定条件が満たされたと判定する。
ステップS106:地域設定部111は、これまでの累積対象者数をクリアする。これにより、以降のステップS103による累積対象者数の累積は、累積対象者数Tnumが「0」の状態から開始される。
ステップS107:また、地域設定部111は、ステップS105による第m評価対象地域の設定に応じて、変数mをインクリメントする。
ステップS109:地域設定部111は、現在の変数nについて、N+1以上(「N」は区画番号の最大値)であるか否かについて判定する。
変数nがN+1未満である場合には、まだ対象者数を累積していない郵便番号区画が残っている。そこで、この場合には、地域設定部111は、ステップS102に処理を戻す。
ステップS111:地域設定条件を満たしていると判定された場合、地域設定部111は、ステップS110での判定対象とされた累積対象者数に対応する郵便番号区画の集合による地域を、第m評価対象地域として設定する。このようにステップS111にて設定された第m評価対象地域が、最後に設定される第M評価対象地域となる。
ステップS112:一方、ステップS110にて地域設定条件を満たしていないと判定された場合、地域設定部111は、前述のように、ステップS110での判定対象とされた累積対象者数に対応する郵便番号区画を、現時点までにおいて設定された評価対象地域に対して含めるように調整処理を行う。この場合には、最後のステップS105により設定された第m評価対象地域が最後の第M評価対象地域となる。
そこで、広告会社CO2は、図6の処理によって得られた評価対象地域を地図と対照させて、上記のような特殊な事情が解消されるように、評価対象地域に含める郵便番号区画を調整してよい。
このような調整は、例えば設定された評価対象地域と、郵便番号区画が対応付けられた地図情報とを対照させることで、広告関連情報処理装置100が特殊な事情に該当する評価対象地域を判定したうえで実行するようにされてもよい。
また、本実施形態の区画は、地域を格子状に区分した区画(格子状区画)であってもよい。具体的に、例えば南北方向に沿った所定の単位距離と、東西方向に沿った所定の単位距離とにより地域を区分することで、四角形の格子状区画が形成されるようにすればよい。この場合、格子状区画の1つを形成する南北方向及び東西方向の単位距離は、例えば、評価対象となる広告、地域の人口等を考慮して設定されればよい。
上記のような格子状区画を本実施形態の区画として採用する場合、図3の区画別対象者集情報としては、郵便番号区画に代えて格子状区画が示され、格子状区画ごとの対象者数が格納される。また、このような格子状区画としては、本実施形態の広告システムのもとで独自に定めたものであってもよいし、例えば標準地域メッシュなどのように規格化されたものを用いるようにされてもよい。また、規格化された格子状区画を、本実施形態の広告システムの用途に応じた態様で分割あるいは結合するようにして変更した格子状区画を、本実施形態の区画として用いてよい。
このような格子状区画は、例えば郵便番号区画よりも広い面積を容易に設定できる。このため、例えば郵便番号区画によっては人口がない、もしくは非常に人口が少ないような状況であるために、評価対象地域を適切に設定することが難しいような場合がある。このような場合には、郵便番号区画よりも広い面積を定めた格子状区画を用いることで、評価対象地域を適切に設定することが可能になる。
(1)以上説明したように、本実施形態の一態様は、所定の区分規則に従って地域を区分して得られる区画(例えば、郵便番号区画)ごとに、広告提供の対象となる対象者数を対応付けた区画別対象者数情報に基づいて、予め定められた順序に従って選択する区画に対応付けられた対象者数を取得し、取得された対象者数の累積値が所定の地域設定条件を満たした段階で、選択された区画を含む評価対象地域を設定していく地域設定処理を実行する地域設定部を備える広告関連情報処理装置(100)である。
上記構成により、郵便番号区画に対象者数を対応付けたリストを利用して、有意なレスポンス数が期待される対象者数を含む評価対象地域を、郵便番号区画の集合により設定することができる。つまり、適切なレスポンス数に対応する対象者数を有する評価対象地域を簡易に設定できるようになる。
また、上記プログラムは、上述した機能の一部を実現するためのものであってもよい。さらに、上述した機能をコンピュータシステムにすでに記録されているプログラムとの組み合わせで実現できるもの、いわゆる差分ファイル(差分プログラム)であってもよい。
Claims (2)
- 所定の区分規則に従って地域を区分して得られる区画ごとに、広告提供の対象となる対象者数を対応付けた区画別対象者数情報に基づいて、予め定められた順序に従って選択する区画に対応付けられた対象者数を取得し、取得された対象者数の累積値が所定の地域設定条件を満たした段階で、選択された区画を含む評価対象地域を設定していく地域設定処理を実行する地域設定部
を備える広告関連情報処理装置。 - コンピュータを、
