There is a risk that the operability of the Furthermore, if the guide wire is pushed while the distal end of the guide wire is hooked, the guide wire may be bent at the distal end. Movement of the distal end of the guidewire that occurs when this deflection is resolved can damage the wall within the biological lumen.
- the guide wire 1 includes the distal end unit 7 provided at the distal end portion of the coil 4.
- the distal end of the coil 4 extends substantially straight before being inserted into the living body lumen.
- the distal end portion of the coil 4 may be pressed against the wall surface 55 in the living body lumen when advancing inside the living body lumen.
- a part of the tip rotating body 71 protrudes or is exposed outward from the surface of the coil 4 or the support portion 72. Then, as indicated by an arrow A1 shown in FIG. 2B, the distal-end rotating body 71 contacts a portion (for example, a wall surface or a narrowed portion) in the living body lumen and rotates when receiving an external force.
- a portion for example, a wall surface or a narrowed portion
- the tip rotation body 71 is rotated by contact with the wall surface 55 in the living body lumen and receiving an external force, even if magnetic or electric power is not supplied.
- the guide wire 1 according to the present embodiment can reduce the frictional resistance between the coil 4 or the tip unit 7 and the wall surface 55 in the living body lumen with a simple structure.
- tip part of the guide wire 1 reduces the guide wire 1 which concerns on this embodiment.

There is a high possibility of touching. In addition, since the tip of the guide wire 1 is a portion to which a load is most applied during the operation of the guide wire, the frictional resistance tends to increase.
- the rotating body at the tip of the guide wire 1 (the rotating body includes the tip rotating body 71), the frictional resistance between the surface of the tip of the guide wire 1 and the portion of the biological lumen is reduced. The deterioration of the operability of the guide wire 1 is further suppressed. In particular, by reducing the frictional resistance at the tip of the guide wire 1, the guide wire 1 can effectively suppress the tip from entering the gap between the wall surface 55 in the living body lumen and the stent.

- the pedestal ring portion 727 receives the distal-end rotating body 71 on the distal end side relative to the pedestal bottom surface portion 721, the distal-end rotating body 71 can be stably supported. Further, compared to the case where the pedestal ring portion 727 is not provided, the axial length of the pedestal side surface portion 722 (the axial length from the pedestal bottom surface portion 721 to the opening 724) can be increased. As a result, the tapered shape of the pedestal side surface portion 722 can be made longer, and therefore, the guide wire can be easily inserted into a thin living body lumen and penetrated into a lesion such as a narrowed portion or an obstructed portion.
- the pedestal ring portion 727 receives the distal-end rotating body 71 at the distal end side relative to the pedestal bottom surface portion 721, so that a gap is formed between the distal-end rotating body 71 and the pedestal bottom surface portion 721. Description
従来から、狭窄や閉塞が発症した血管等の治療のために、PCI(Percutaneous Coronary Intervention:経皮的冠状動脈インターベンション)という手技が実施されている。

つまり、図17(a)に表した長さL3(台座底面部721の直径)は、図17(b)に表した長さL4(台座底面部721の直径)および図17(c)に表した長さL5(台座底面部721の直径)と同じである。
