Description
本発明は、カプセル内視鏡に関するものである。
従来、カプセル内視鏡としては、例えば、錠剤状の形態のカプセルの中に、対物光学系、照明部、撮像素子、送信装置などを配置するとともに、これらの物体側を視野範囲が透明な半球状のカバー部材(以下、「ドーム状透明カバー」という)で密封したものが知られている。このように構成されたカプセル内視鏡では、ドーム状透明カバーと対物光学系を通して撮像素子の受光面に取り込んだ体内の画像が信号化されて、送信装置を介して体外に送信される。そして、外部の受信装置で受信された画像が表示装置に表示され、検査に用いられる。
ところで、この種のカプセル内視鏡においては、照明部から出射した照明光の一部が、ドーム状透明カバーの内側面で反射され、不要光として対物光学系の瞳に入射することによりフレアを発生させてしまうという問題がある。このため、従来、ドーム状透明カバーの内側面の反射によるフレアを防止するために、例えば、次の特許文献1、2に開示されている構成が提案されている。
特許文献1、2に開示されたカプセル内視鏡では、対物光学系の周辺に複数個の小型な照明部、たとえばLEDを配置している。一般的なカプセル内視鏡は、照明部を覆うように、ドーム状透明カバーを有している。
ここで、照明部の照明光束と、対物光学系の光路とが、ドーム状透明カバーの同じ面を共有している。このため、照明部から発した光線は、ドーム状透明カバーの内面で反射し、その反射光が対物光学系の瞳に入射してしまう。これにより、フレアが発生するリスクが高くなる。このため、カプセル内視鏡の製造において、フレアが発生しないように、ドーム状透明カバーと照明部との位置関係を、試行錯誤により調整して決めている。
本発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、上述のようにドーム状透明カバーと照明部との位置関係について試行錯誤の位置調整によらず、フレアを防止できるカプセル内視鏡を提供することを目的とする。
上述した課題を解決し、目的を達成するために、本発明のカプセル内視鏡は、
対物光学系と、
対物光学系とは異なる位置に配置された発光領域を有する照明部と、
対物光学系と照明部との物体側を密閉する視野範囲が透明なドーム状透明カバーと、を有し、
以下の条件式(1)、(2)を満足することを特徴とする。

本発明には、ドーム状透明カバーと照明部との位置関係について試行錯誤の位置調整によらず、フレアを防止できるカプセル内視鏡を提供できるという効果を奏する。
以下に、実施形態に係るカプセル内視鏡を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。なお、この実施形態により、この発明が限定されるものではない。
図1は、実施形態に係るカプセル内視鏡100の概略構成を示す図である。カプセル内視鏡100は、カプセルカバー101とドーム状透明カバー102とを有する。カプセルカバー101とドーム状透明カバー102とによって、カプセル内視鏡100の外装部が構成されている。
カプセル内視鏡100の内部には、対物光学系103と、対物光学系103とは異なる位置に配置された照明部104とが配置されている。照明部104は、例えば発光領域104aを有するLEDを用いることができる。
ドーム状透明カバー102は、対物光学系103と照明部104との物体側を密閉し、視野範囲が透明な材質で形成されている。
カプセルカバー101は、略円筒形状の中央部と、略椀形状の底部と、で構成されている。ドーム状透明カバー102は、中央部を挟んで、略椀形状の底部と対向する位置に配置されている。ドーム状透明カバー102は、ドーム状(略椀形状)の透明部材によって構成されている。カプセルカバー101とドーム状透明カバー102とは、互いに水密的に連設されている。
カプセル内視鏡100の内部は、対物光学系103と、照明部104と、撮像素子105と、駆動制御部106と、信号処理部107と、が配置されている。ドーム状透明カバー102は、対物光学系103と照明部104の双方の前面を同時に覆う位置に配置されている。なお、図示しないが、カプセル内視鏡100の内部には、受電部と送信部が設けられている。
照明部104からは、照明光が出射する。照明光はドーム状透明カバー102を通過して、物体(不図示)に照射される。物体からの光は、対物光学系103に入射する。対物光学系103によって、像位置に物体の光学像が形成される。
光学像は、撮像素子105で撮像される。撮像素子105の駆動と制御は、駆動制御部106で行われる。また、撮像素子105からの出力信号は、必要に応じて、信号処理部107で処理される。

図2(b)を参照して、パラメータの説明をする。図2(b)は、カプセル内視鏡のドーム状透明カバー102と対物光学系103近傍の構成を模式的に示す図である。LPは、対物光学系103の入射瞳Pの位置からLEDの発光領域104aまでの距離である。LPは、ドーム状透明カバー102から遠ざかる方向bを正(+)とする。DRは、ドーム状透明カバー102の内側面102aの曲率半径である。DLは、ドーム状透明カバー102の内側面102aから対物光学系103の入射瞳Pの位置までの距離である。DLは、ドーム状透明カバー102へ近づく方向aを正(+)とする。
次に、図4(a)、(b)、(c)を参照して、従来のカプセル内視鏡におけるフレアの発生を説明する。図4(a)、(b)、(c)において、従来技術のカプセル内視鏡10は、カプセルカバー11とドーム状透明カバー12とを有する。
カプセル内視鏡10の内部には、対物光学系13と、対物光学系13とは異なる位置に配置された照明部14とが配置されている。照明部14は、LEDを用いることができる。
ドーム状透明カバー12は、対物光学系13と照明部14との物体側を密閉し、視野範囲が透明な材質で形成されている。

図4(a)は、対物光学系13と照明部14とが、ドーム状透明カバー12から遠ざかる位置に配置されている構成を示す。照明部14からの照明光の一部は、ドーム状透明カバー12の内側面12aで反射される。反射された照明光の一部FLは、対物光学系13の入射瞳Pに入射してしまう。これにより、フレアが発生してしまう。ドーム状透明カバー12の位置のばらつき、照明部14の位置のばらつきに起因して、このようなフレアが発生しやすい。
図4(b)は、対物光学系13と照明部14とが、ドーム状透明カバー12に対して近づく位置に配置されている構成を示す。照明部14からの照明光の一部は、ドーム状透明カバー12の内側面12aで反射される。反射された照明光の一部FLは、対物光学系13の入射瞳Pに入射してしまう。これにより、フレアが発生しまう。
図4(c)は、対物光学系13の入射瞳Pの位置とドーム状透明カバー12の内側面12aの球芯位置Cとを略一致させた構成を示す。この構成は、内側面12aによる1回反射のフレアは発生しない。しかしながら、図4(c)に示す構成とするためには、カプセル内視鏡10の製造工程において、ドーム状透明カバー12と照明部14との位置関係について試行錯誤の位置調整が必要となってしまうという問題がある。
本実施形態では、以下の条件式(1)、(2)を満足することで、簡便にフレアを防止できる。
0.5<θ/ω<0.95 (1)
(-0.13×LP+0.86×DR)<DL<0.95×DR (2)

(-0.13×LP+0.86×DR)<DL<0.95×DR (2)
図3(a)は、θ/ω=0.95、DR=4.0の実施例において、対物光学系103と照明部104とが、ドーム状透明カバー102に対して、最も遠ざかる位置に配置されている構成を示す模式図である。図3(b)は、θ/ω=0.95、DR=5.0の実施例において、対物光学系103と照明部104とが、ドーム状透明カバー102に対して、最も遠ざかる位置に配置されている構成を示す模式図である。
図3(c)は、θ/ω=0.5、DR=4.0の実施例において、対物光学系103と照明部104とが、ドーム状透明カバー102に対して、最も近づく位置に配置されている構成を示す模式図である。図3(d)は、θ/ω=0.5、DR=5.0の実施例において、対物光学系103と照明部104とが、ドーム状透明カバー102に対して、最も近づく位置に配置されている構成を示す模式図である。
参考までに、図3(e)は、DR=4.0においてドーム状透明カバー102の球芯位置Cと入射瞳Pとが一致した状態の構成を示す模式図である。図3(f)は、DR=5.0においてドーム状透明カバー102の球芯位置Cと入射瞳Pとが一致した状態の構成を示す模式図である。

なお、上述のカプセル内視鏡は、複数の構成を同時に満足してもよい。このようにすることが、良好なカプセル内視鏡を得る上で好ましい。また、好ましい構成の組み合わせは任意である。また、各条件式について、より限定した条件式の数値範囲の上限値あるいは下限値のみを限定しても構わない。
以上、本発明の種々の実施形態について説明したが、本発明は、これらの実施形態のみに限られるものではなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で、これら実施形態の構成を適宜組合せて構成した実施形態も本発明の範疇となるものである。
以上のように、本発明は、ドーム状透明カバーと照明部との位置関係について試行錯誤の位置調整によらず、フレアを防止できるカプセル内視鏡に有用である。

Claims (1)
- 対物光学系と、
前記対物光学系とは異なる位置に配置された発光領域を有する照明部と、
前記対物光学系と前記照明部との物体側を密閉する視野範囲が透明なドーム状透明カバーと、を有し、
以下の条件式(1)、(2)を満足することを特徴とするカプセル内視鏡。
0.5<θ/ω<0.95 (1)
(-0.13×LP+0.86×DR)<DL<0.95×DR (2)
ここで、
ωは、前記対物光学系の半画角、
θは、半画角である光線と前記ドーム状透明カバーの内側面の交点と、前記ドーム状透明カバーの球芯位置とを直線で結んだとき、前記直線と前記対物光学系の光軸とのなす角度、
LPは、前記対物光学系の入射瞳位置から前記発光領域までの距離、
DRは、前記ドーム状透明カバーの前記内側面の曲率半径、
DLは、前記ドーム状透明カバーの前記内側面から前記対物光学系の前記入射瞳位置までの距離、
