Abstract
本発明は、集電体と活物質又は活物質層との密着性を向上させ、サイクル寿命性を向上させることができる、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物であって、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを含む、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物;前記集電体用組成物からなるアンダーコート層形成用組成物;前記集電体用組成物からなるバインダー組成物;前記バインダー組成物と活物質とを含む電極形成用組成物;前記集電体用組成物でコートした、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体;及び前記電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体を含む電池又は電気二重層キャパシタに関する。
Description
本発明は、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物、これでコートした電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体、及びこの電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体を含む電池又は電気二重層キャパシタに関する。
軽量で電圧が高く容量も大きいリチウムイオン二次電池や、充放電レート特性の良い電気二重層キャパシタは、携帯電話やノートパソコン等のモバイル機器、デジタルカメラ等のポータブル機器、車両や家庭用の電源として広く実用化されており、生活に欠かせない電気エネルギー蓄積デバイスとなっている。
リチウムイオン二次電池に代表される二次電池は基本的な構造として、セパレーターで隔離された正極シートと負極シートの組合せという構造を有する。二次電池では、充放電の効率、サイクル寿命のような電池特性が求められる。このような電池としての特性を十分に発揮させるために、電池集電体と活物質層間の密着性を高めるべく、電池集電体に導電性のアンダーコート層を設け、該導電性アンダーコート層の表面に活物質層を形成する方法が知られている(特許文献1)。二次電池のサイクル特性を高める方法としてもう一方では、電池集電体と活物質との間の密着性を高めるべく、合成ゴム系ラテックス型バインダー、セルロース系バインダー及びアクリルアミド系水溶性高分子を含むバインダーと、活物質とからなる混合物を用いて、活物質層を形成する方法が知られている(特許文献2)。
正極シート及び負極シートには、集電体に活物質層が形成された塗布部と、電極端子を接続するため活物質層が塗布されていない未塗布部とが存在する。未塗布部ではアルミニウムや銅等の集電体がむき出しになっていることになるが、これは外力が加わる等の要因で電池内部に短絡が生じた場合に安全性の面で問題を抱えている。電池の大容量化に伴って発熱量も増加することになるので、例えば車載用等のパワー用途向け電池では、この問題は深刻である。この問題に対して、集電体に積層された活物質層と未塗布部との境界に、固体絶縁物が含まれている絶縁性溶液によって絶縁部材を形成する方法が開示されている(特許文献3)。
しかしながら、特許文献2に開示された混合物では、集電体と活物層又は活物質との密着性が充分ではなかった。また、特許文献3の方法では、集電体と活物質層の境界のみに絶縁性溶液を付着させるものであり、密着性の面で課題が残されていた。また、絶縁材料には絶縁性の向上、密着性の面でさらなる改善が求められる。一方で、絶縁性の部材を集電体上に形成すると、集電体と活物質層とでの電子のやりとりが阻害されるので、通常は電池としての特性、特にサイクル寿命性が妨げられることは避けられない。
本発明の課題は、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性を向上させ、サイクル寿命性を向上させることができる、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物を提供することである。
本発明は、以下に関する。
[1]ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを含む、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物。
[2]ポリアクリルアミドの重量平均分子量が、1,000,000~100,000,000である、[1]の集電体用組成物。
[3]有機酸が、ピロメリット酸、1,2,3-プロパントリカルボン酸、アスパラギン酸、メリット酸及びポリアクリル酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、有機酸の無水物が、前記有機酸の無水物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、無機酸が、塩酸、フッ化水素酸、6フッ化リン酸及び4フッ化ホウ酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、有機酸の金属塩が、前記有機酸と、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム又はカルシウムとの塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、且つ、無機酸の金属塩が、前記無機酸と、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム又はカルシウムとの塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である、[1]又は[2]の集電体用組成物。

[電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物]
電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物(以下、単に「集電体用組成物」ともいう。)は、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを含む。
電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物(以下、単に「集電体用組成物」ともいう。)は、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを含む。
〔ポリアクリルアミド〕
ポリアクリルアミドは、集電体用組成物に接着性を与え、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性をもたらす高分子化合物である。ポリアクリルアミドは、アクリルアミドの単独重合体又は共重合体であり、ノニオン系、アニオン系、カチオン系又は両性系のポリアクリルアミドが挙げられる。
ポリアクリルアミドは、集電体用組成物に接着性を与え、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性をもたらす高分子化合物である。ポリアクリルアミドは、アクリルアミドの単独重合体又は共重合体であり、ノニオン系、アニオン系、カチオン系又は両性系のポリアクリルアミドが挙げられる。
ポリアクリルアミドの重量平均分子量は、1,000,000~100,000,000であることが好ましく、3,000,000~50,000,000であることがより好ましく、5,000,000~30,000,000であることが特に好ましい。ポリアクリルアミドの重量平均分子量が前記の範囲であると、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性をより向上させ、サイクル寿命性をより向上させることができる。本明細書において、重量平均分子量は、GPC(ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー)を使用して求めた、ポリエチレンオキサイド換算の重量平均分子量を意味する。
ポリアクリルアミドの市販品として、アコフロックN-102(MTアクアポリマー株式会社製)、アコフロックA-102(MTアクアポリマー株式会社製)、サンフロックNOP(三洋化成工業株式会社製)、サンフロックN-500P(三洋化成工業株式会社製)等が挙げられる。
ポリアクリルアミドは、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。

〔有機酸〕
有機酸とは、炭素原子から構成される分子構造を有し、その分子中に中性付近のpHにおいて水素イオンが解離する官能基(例えば、カルボキシ基、ホスホン酸基又はスルホン基)を少なくとも1個有する酸をいう。

有機酸としては、分子中にカルボキシ基を少なくとも2個有する酸である、ポリカルボン酸が好ましい。ポリカルボン酸としては、例えば、コハク酸、アジピン酸、マレイン酸、フタル酸、トリメリット酸、クエン酸、1,2,3-プロパントリカルボン酸、ブタンテトラカルボン酸、3,3’,4,4’-ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸、ヘキサヒドロフタル酸、3,3’,4,4’-ジフェニルスルホンテトラカルボン酸、メチルビシクロ[2.2.1]ヘプタン-2,3-ジカルボン酸、ビシクロ[2.2.1]ヘプタン-2,3-ジカルボン酸、アスパラギン酸、ピロメリット酸、メリト酸、含リンエステル基テトラカルボン酸、フェニルエチニルフタル酸、3-フルオロ-1,2-ベンゼンジカルボン酸、2,2-ビス(4-カルボキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン、4,4’-(ヘキサフルオロイソプロピリデン)ビス(1,2-ベンゼンジカルボン酸)、4,4’-(ヘキサフルオロイソプロピリデン)ジフタル酸、4,4’-ジカルボキシジフェニルスルホン、オキシジフタル酸及びポリアクリル酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種が挙げられる。有機酸は、架橋性の観点から、ピロメリット酸、1,2,3-プロパントリカルボン酸、アスパラギン酸、メリット酸及びポリアクリル酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種が特に好ましい。

〔有機酸の無水物〕
有機酸の無水物とは、前記有機酸の酸無水物をいう。

有機酸の無水物としては、エチレングリコールビスアンヒドロトリメリテート(酸無水物)、1,3,3a,4,5,9b-ヘキサヒドロ-5(テトラヒドロ-2,5-ジオキソ-3-フラニル)ナフト[1,2-c]フラン-1,3-ジオン(酸無水物)、グリセリンビスアンヒドロトリメリテートモノアセテート(酸無水物)、エチレングリコールビスアンヒドロトリメリテート(酸無水物)、及び前記した具体的なポリカルボン酸の無水物(例えば、ピロメリット酸無水物、1,2,3-プロパントリカルボン酸無水物、アスパラギン酸無水物、メリット酸無水物、ポリアクリル酸無水物、マレイン酸無水物、トリメリット酸無水物、4,4’-(ヘキサフルオロイソプロピリデン)ジフタル酸無水物)からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種が挙げられる。有機酸の無水物は、架橋性の観点から、ピロメリット酸無水物、1,2,3-プロパントリカルボン酸無水物、アスパラギン酸無水物、メリット酸無水物及びポリアクリル酸無水物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種が特に好ましい。

有機酸の金属塩は、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。

無機酸としては、例えば、硝酸、硫酸、フッ化水素酸、塩化水素酸、臭化水素酸、6フッ化リン酸、4フッ化ホウ酸等を挙げることができる。無機酸は、電気化学的安定性の観点から、塩酸、フッ化水素酸、6フッ化リン酸及び4フッ化ホウ酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種がより好ましい。
無機酸は、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。
無機酸としては、例えば、硝酸、硫酸、フッ化水素酸、塩化水素酸、臭化水素酸、6フッ化リン酸、4フッ化ホウ酸等を挙げることができる。無機酸は、電気化学的安定性の観点から、塩酸、フッ化水素酸、6フッ化リン酸及び4フッ化ホウ酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種がより好ましい。

〔無機酸の金属塩〕
無機酸の金属塩は、前記無機酸と、金属(例えば、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、遷移金属等)との塩である。無機酸の金属塩は、前記無機酸と、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム又はカルシウムとの塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種が好ましく、前記のより好ましい無機酸と、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム又はカルシウムとの塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種が特に好ましい。
無機酸の金属塩は、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。

〔更なる成分〕
集電体用組成物は、本発明の効果を奏する範囲内で、更なる成分を含むことができる。このような更なる成分として、ポリアクリルアミド以外の樹脂バインダー、フィラー、溶媒、カップリング剤、安定剤等が挙げられる。更なる成分は、それぞれ、単独又は2種以上の組み合わせであってもよい。例えば、更なる成分として、2種以上のフィラー及び単独の溶媒の組合せであってもよい。
集電体用組成物は、本発明の効果を奏する範囲内で、更なる成分を含むことができる。このような更なる成分として、ポリアクリルアミド以外の樹脂バインダー、フィラー、溶媒、カップリング剤、安定剤等が挙げられる。更なる成分は、それぞれ、単独又は2種以上の組み合わせであってもよい。例えば、更なる成分として、2種以上のフィラー及び単独の溶媒の組合せであってもよい。
(ポリアクリルアミド以外の樹脂バインダー)
ポリアクリルアミド以外の樹脂バインダー(以下、単に「樹脂バインダー」ともいう。)は、集電体用組成物に接着性を与え、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性をもたらす高分子である。樹脂バインダーを構成する高分子は、水溶性又は非水溶性であることができる。
ポリアクリルアミド以外の樹脂バインダー(以下、単に「樹脂バインダー」ともいう。)は、集電体用組成物に接着性を与え、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性をもたらす高分子である。樹脂バインダーを構成する高分子は、水溶性又は非水溶性であることができる。
水溶性の高分子である樹脂バインダーの具体例として、完全ケン化ポリビニルアルコール(株式会社クラレ製;クラレポバールPVA-124、日本酢ビ・ポバール株式会社製;JC-25等)、部分ケン化ポリビニルアルコール(株式会社クラレ製;クラレポバールPVA-235、日本酢ビ・ポバール株式会社製;JP-33等)、変性ポリビニルアルコール(株式会社クラレ製;クラレKポリマーKL-118、クラレCポリマーCM-318、クラレRポリマーR-1130、クラレLMポリマーLM-10HD、日本酢ビ・ポバール株式会社製;DポリマーDF-20、アニオン変性PVA AF-17、アルキル変性PVA ZF-15)、カルボキシメチルセルロース(ダイセル工業株式会社製;H-CMC、DN-100L、1120、2200、日本製紙ケミカル株式会社製;MAC200HC等)、合成ゴム系ラテックス型バインダー、スチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)ラテックス、ニトリルブタジエンゴムラテックス、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース(ダイセル工業株式会社製;SP-400等)、ポリオキシエチレン(明成化学工業株式会社製;アルコックスE-300)、エポキシ樹脂(ナガセケムテックス株式会社製;EX-614、ジャパンケムテック株式会社製;エピコート5003-W55等)、ポリエチレンイミン(日本触媒株式会社製;エポミンP-1000)、ポリアクリル酸エステル(MTアクアポリマー株式会社製;アコフロックC-502等)、並びに糖類及びその誘導体(和光純薬工業株式会社;キトサン5、日澱化学株式会社製;エステル化澱粉乳華、グリコ株式会社製;クラスタ-デキストリン)、ポリスチレンスルホン酸(東ソー有機化学株式会社製;ボリナスPS-100等)等の水溶性高分子が挙げることができ、これらは水に溶かした状態で用いることができる。
非水溶性の高分子である樹脂バインダーの更なる具体例として、アクリル酸エステル重合エマルジョン(昭和電工株式会社製;ポリゾールF-361、F-417、S-65、SH-502)、及びエチレン・酢酸ビニル共重合エマルジョン(株式会社クラレ製;パンフレックスOM-4000NT、OM-4200NT、OM-28NT、OM-5010NT)等のエマルジョンを挙げることができ、これらは水に懸濁させた状態で用いることができる。
非水溶性の高分子である樹脂バインダーの更なる具体例として、変性ポリビニルアルコール(信越化学工業株式会社製;シアノレジンCR-V)、変性プルラン(信越化学工業株式会社製;シアノレジンCR-S)、エチレン・プロピレン・ジエン共重合体などの含オレフィン性不飽和結合ポリマー、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)、ポリフッ化ビニリデン-ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体(PVdF-HFP)等の高分子を挙げることができ、これらはN-メチルピロリドンに溶かした状態で用いることができる。
樹脂バインダーとして、入手の容易性の観点から、合成ゴム系ラテックス型バインダー、スチレンブタジエンゴムラテックス及びニトリルブタジエンゴムラテックスが好ましい。

(フィラー)
フィラーとしては、導電性フィラー、絶縁性フィラーが挙げられる。導電性フィラーは、集電体用組成物に導電性を付与し、集電体の導電性を向上させる役割を果たす。絶縁性フィラーは、集電体用組成物に絶縁性を付与し、集電体上の活物質塗布部と未塗布部の間の短絡を防止する役割を果たす。

絶縁性フィラーは、絶縁性材料である各種公知の無機粒子又は有機粒子であり、アルミナ、ベーマイト、シリカ、ジルコニア、チタニア等の酸化物の粉末;コロイダルシリカ、チタニアゾル、アルミナゾル等の酸化物のゾル;タルク、カオリナイト、スメクタイト等の粘土鉱物;炭化ケイ素、炭化チタン等の炭化物;窒化ケイ素、窒化アルミニウム、窒化チタン等の窒化物(但し、窒化ホウ素を除く);窒化ホウ素、ホウ化チタン、酸化ホウ素等のホウ化物;ムライト等の複合酸化物;水酸化アルミニウム、水酸化マグネシウム等の水酸化物;スチレンブタジエンやニトリルゴムのようなゴム微粒子、アクリル粒子、ウレタン粒子、ポリプロピレン粒子、テフロン(登録商標)粒子、ポリエチレン等の有機粒子;及び、チタン酸バリウム等が挙げられる。

入手の容易性等の面から、フィラーは、カーボンブラック、ニッケル粉、鉄粉、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア及びジルコニアからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であることが好ましい。また、導電性フィラーは、カーボンブラックであることが特に好ましく、絶縁性フィラーは、アルミナであることが特に好ましい。フィラーは粉状で使用してもよいし、シリカゾルやアルミゾルのような水分散コロイドの形で使用してもよい。フィラー粒子の大きさは特に制限されないが、0.001~1μmの範囲が好ましく、更に好ましくは0.005~0.5μmの範囲である。フィラー粒子の大きさは、例えばレーザー回折/散乱式粒度分布測定装置で測定した平均粒子径である。

(溶媒)

(カップリング剤)
カップリング剤は、集電体用組成物中に含まれる活性水素(例えば、水素結合性官能基)を有する置換基と反応し、架橋密度を向上させ、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性をより高めることができる成分である。

カップリング剤としては、シランカップリング剤及びチタン系カップリング剤が好ましい。フッ素系のシランカップリング剤として、(トリデカフルオロ-1,1,2,2-テトラヒドロオクチル)トリエトキシシラン;エポキシ変性シランカップリング剤として、信越化学工業株式会社製カップリング剤(商品名:KBM-403);オキセタン変性シランカップリング剤として、東亞合成株式会社製カップリング剤(商品名:TESOX電池集電体用組成物);及び、不飽和基を含有するシランカップリング剤としてビニルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリエトキシシランを挙げることができる。チタン系カップリング剤として、テトラ-i-プロピルチタネート、テトラ-n-ブチルチタネート、ジイソステアロイルエチレンチタネート等を挙げることができる。

(安定剤)
集電体用組成物は、必要に応じて、安定剤を適宜選択して含むことができる。このような安定剤としては、具体的には2,6-ジ-tert-ブチル-フェノール、2,4-ジ-tert-ブチル-フェノール、2,6-ジ-tert-ブチル-4-エチル-フェノール、2,4-ビス-(n-オクチルチオ)-6-(4-ヒドロキシ-3,5-ジ-tert-ブチル-アニリノ)-1,3,5-トリアジン等のフェノール系酸化防止剤;アルキルジフェニルアミン、N,N’-ジフェニル-p-フェニレンジアミン、6-エトキシ-2,2,4-トリメチル-1,2-ジヒドロキノリン、N-フェニル-N’-イソプロピル-p-フェニレンジアミン等の芳香族アミン系酸化防止剤;ジラウリル-3,3’-チオジプロピオネート、ジトリデシル-3,3’-チオジプロピオネート、ビス[2-メチル-4-{3-n-アルキルチオプロピオニルオキシ}-5-tert-ブチル-フェニル]スルフィド、2-メルカプト-5-メチル-ベンゾイミダゾール等のサルファイド系ヒドロペルオキシド分解剤;トリス(イソデシル)ホスファイト、フェニルジイソオクチルホスファイト、ジフェニルイソオクチルホスファイト、ジ(ノニルフェニル)ペンタエリトリトールジホスファイト、3,5-ジ-tert-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシ-ベンジルホスファートジエチルエステル、ナトリウムビス(4-tert-ブチルフェニル)ホスファート等のリン系ヒドロペルオキシド分解剤;フェニルサリチラート、4-tert-オクチルフェニルサリチラート等のサリチレート系光安定剤;2,4-ジヒドロキシベンゾフェノン、2-ヒドロキシ-4-メトキシベンゾフェノン-5-スルホン酸等のベンゾフェノン系光安定剤;2-(2’-ヒドロキシ-5’-メチルフェニル)ベンゾトリアゾール、2,2’-メチレンビス[4-(1,1,3,3-テトラメチルブチル)-6-(2N-ベンゾトリアゾール-2-イル)フェノール]等のベンゾトリアゾール系光安定剤;フェニル-4-ピペリジニルカルボナート、セバシン酸ビス-[2,2,6,6-テトラメチル-4-ピペリジニル]等のヒンダードアミン系光安定剤;[2,2’-チオ-ビス(4-t-オクチルフェノラート)]-2-エチルヘキシルアミン-ニッケル-(II)等のNi系光安定剤;シアノアクリレート系光安定剤;及び、シュウ酸アニリド系光安定剤等を挙げることができる。

(界面活性剤)
集電体用組成物は、ぬれを調節するために、界面活性剤を含有することができる。このような界面活性剤としては、アニオン界面活性剤、両性界面活性剤及び非イオン(ノニオン)型界面活性剤が挙げられる。
アニオン界面活性剤としては、石ケン、ラウリル硫酸塩、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル硫酸塩、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸塩、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルリン酸、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルフェニルエーテルリン酸、N-アシルアミノ酸塩、α-オレフィンスルホン酸塩、アルキル硫酸エステル塩、アルキルフェニルエーテル硫酸エステル塩、メチルタウリン酸塩等が挙げられる。アニオン界面活性剤のカウンターカチオンとしては、ナトリウムイオン及びリチウムイオン等を用いる事が出来る。集電体用組成物がリチウムイオン二次電池に用いられる場合、界面活性剤はリチウムイオンタイプが好ましい。
両性界面活性剤としては、塩酸アルキルジアミノエチルグリシン、2-アルキル-N-カルボキシメチル-N-ヒドロキシエチルイミダゾリニウムベタイン、ラウリルジメチルアミノ酢酸ベタイン、ヤシ油脂肪酸アミドプロピルベタイン、脂肪酸アルキルベタイン、スルホベタイン、アミオキサイド等が挙げられる。
非イオン(ノニオン)型界面活性剤としては、ポリエチレングリコールのアルキルエステル型化合物、トリエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル等のアルキルエーテル型化合物、ポリオキシソルビタンエステル等のエステル型化合物、アルキルフェノール型化合物、フッ素型化合物、シリコーン型化合物等が挙げられる。
界面活性剤は、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。
集電体用組成物は、ぬれを調節するために、界面活性剤を含有することができる。このような界面活性剤としては、アニオン界面活性剤、両性界面活性剤及び非イオン(ノニオン)型界面活性剤が挙げられる。
アニオン界面活性剤としては、石ケン、ラウリル硫酸塩、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル硫酸塩、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸塩、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルリン酸、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルフェニルエーテルリン酸、N-アシルアミノ酸塩、α-オレフィンスルホン酸塩、アルキル硫酸エステル塩、アルキルフェニルエーテル硫酸エステル塩、メチルタウリン酸塩等が挙げられる。アニオン界面活性剤のカウンターカチオンとしては、ナトリウムイオン及びリチウムイオン等を用いる事が出来る。集電体用組成物がリチウムイオン二次電池に用いられる場合、界面活性剤はリチウムイオンタイプが好ましい。
両性界面活性剤としては、塩酸アルキルジアミノエチルグリシン、2-アルキル-N-カルボキシメチル-N-ヒドロキシエチルイミダゾリニウムベタイン、ラウリルジメチルアミノ酢酸ベタイン、ヤシ油脂肪酸アミドプロピルベタイン、脂肪酸アルキルベタイン、スルホベタイン、アミオキサイド等が挙げられる。
非イオン(ノニオン)型界面活性剤としては、ポリエチレングリコールのアルキルエステル型化合物、トリエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル等のアルキルエーテル型化合物、ポリオキシソルビタンエステル等のエステル型化合物、アルキルフェノール型化合物、フッ素型化合物、シリコーン型化合物等が挙げられる。
界面活性剤は、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。
〔組成〕
集電体用組成物は、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性がより高まる観点から、固形分基準で、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種との合計量100重量部に対して、ポリアクリルアミドを0.01~99重量部含むのが好ましく、1~95重量部含むのがより好ましく、5~90重量部含むのが特に好ましい。
集電体用組成物は、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性がより高まる観点から、固形分基準で、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種との合計量100重量部に対して、ポリアクリルアミドを0.01~99重量部含むのが好ましく、1~95重量部含むのがより好ましく、5~90重量部含むのが特に好ましい。
集電体用組成物は、絶縁性を確保し短絡を防止しやすくする観点から、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種との合計量100重量部に対して、フィラーを1~1,000重量部含むのが好ましく、10~700重量部含むのがより好ましく、15~500重量部含むのが特に好ましい。
集電体用組成物は、集電体と活物質層又は活物質との密着性がより高まる観点から、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種との合計量100重量部に対して、樹脂バインダーを0.1~200重量部含むのが好ましく、1~100重量部含むのがより好ましく、2~75重量部含むのが特に好ましい。
集電体用組成物は、ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種との合計量100重量部に対して、前記したフィラー及び樹脂バインダー以外の更なる成分の含有量は、特に限定されないが、0.01~50重量部含むのが好ましく、0.05~40重量部含むのがより好ましい。
集電体用組成物は、塗工装置に合わせて溶媒を粘度調整のために任意の比率で添加することが可能である。集電体用組成物の粘度は、塗工性の観点から1~20,000mPa・sが好ましく、10~5,000mPa・sがより好ましく、100~2,000mPa・sが特に好ましい。
[集電体用組成物の製造方法]
集電体用組成物は、上記成分を混合し撹拌することによって溶液又は懸濁液等として得ることができる。撹拌は、プロペラ式ミキサー、プラネタリーミキサー、ハイブリッドミキサー、ニーダー、乳化用ホモジナイザー、超音波ホモジナイザー等の各種撹拌装置を適宜選択して行うことができる。また、必要に応じて加熱又は冷却しながら撹拌することもできる。
集電体用組成物は、上記成分を混合し撹拌することによって溶液又は懸濁液等として得ることができる。撹拌は、プロペラ式ミキサー、プラネタリーミキサー、ハイブリッドミキサー、ニーダー、乳化用ホモジナイザー、超音波ホモジナイザー等の各種撹拌装置を適宜選択して行うことができる。また、必要に応じて加熱又は冷却しながら撹拌することもできる。
[用途]
集電体用組成物は、集電体と活物質層又は活物質とを接着するための組成物として用いることができる。具体的には、集電体用組成物からなるアンダーコート層形成用組成物(以下、単に「アンダーコート層形成用組成物」ともいう。)及び集電体用組成物からなるバインダー組成物(以下、単に「バインダー組成物」ともいう。)として用いることができる。ここで、集電体用組成物からなるアンダーコート層形成用組成物は、集電体と活物質層とを接着するための集電体用のアンダーコート層を形成するための組成物である。また、集電体用組成物からなるバインダー組成物は、集電体の活物質層を形成するためのバインダー組成物である。
集電体用組成物は、集電体と活物質層又は活物質とを接着するための組成物として用いることができる。具体的には、集電体用組成物からなるアンダーコート層形成用組成物(以下、単に「アンダーコート層形成用組成物」ともいう。)及び集電体用組成物からなるバインダー組成物(以下、単に「バインダー組成物」ともいう。)として用いることができる。ここで、集電体用組成物からなるアンダーコート層形成用組成物は、集電体と活物質層とを接着するための集電体用のアンダーコート層を形成するための組成物である。また、集電体用組成物からなるバインダー組成物は、集電体の活物質層を形成するためのバインダー組成物である。
(電極形成用組成物)
電極形成用組成物は、バインダー組成物と活物質とを含む。電極形成用組成物は活物質を含むため、集電体上に活物質層を形成するため組成物として用いることができる。バインダー組成物が溶媒を含む場合、電極形成用組成物は、負極スラリー又は正極スラリー等の電極スラリーとも呼ばれる。電極形成用組成物から形成された活物質層は、集電体に対する密着性に優れ、活物質同士の密着性にも優れる。なお、バインダー組成物は導電性炭素系材料を含まないものとする。
電極形成用組成物は、バインダー組成物と活物質とを含む。電極形成用組成物は活物質を含むため、集電体上に活物質層を形成するため組成物として用いることができる。バインダー組成物が溶媒を含む場合、電極形成用組成物は、負極スラリー又は正極スラリー等の電極スラリーとも呼ばれる。電極形成用組成物から形成された活物質層は、集電体に対する密着性に優れ、活物質同士の密着性にも優れる。なお、バインダー組成物は導電性炭素系材料を含まないものとする。
活物質は、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの活物質として使用されているものであれば特に限定されない。正極活物質としては、例えば、LiCoO2、LiNiO2、LiMnO4等のリチウム含有遷移金属酸化物;MoS2等のカルコゲン化合物が挙げられる。負極活物質としては、例えば、天然黒鉛、人造黒鉛、コークス、炭素繊維等の炭素材料(導電性フィラーにおいて前記した導電性炭素系材料を含む);Al、Si、Sn、Ag、Bi、Mg、Zn、P、Ge、Pb又はTiを含むリチウム合金;前記炭素材料と前記リチウム合金との複合物;並びに、リチウム窒化物等が挙げられる。
活物質は、単独又は2種類以上の組み合わせであってもよい。

電極形成用組成物は、バインダー組成物100重量部に対して、活物質を0.1~20,000重量部含むのが好ましく、1~10,000重量部含むのがより好ましく、2~7,500重量部含むのが特に好ましい。
[電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の製造方法]
集電体用組成物を用いた電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の製造方法は、所望の集電体が得られる方法であれば特に制限されず、例えば、以下の製造方法が挙げられる。

(第一の製造方法)
集電体用組成物を用いた電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の第一の製造方法(以下、「第一の製造方法」ともいう。)は、集電体用組成物をアンダーコート層形成用組成物として用いた製造方法である。
集電体用組成物を用いた電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の第一の製造方法(以下、「第一の製造方法」ともいう。)は、集電体用組成物をアンダーコート層形成用組成物として用いた製造方法である。
第一の製造方法は、アンダーコート層形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して、アンダーコート層形成用組成物塗膜を形成する工程、及び前記アンダーコート層形成用組成物を塗布した集電体上に、導電性の活物質を塗布する工程を含む。第一の製造方法により、集電体上の活物質が塗布されている部分とそうでない部分とが隔離され、短絡が生じにくい電極を得ることができる。また、アンダーコート層形成用組成物は電気抵抗が大きいので、外力等の衝撃に伴う変形等があった場合でも、電気的に集電体上の活物質が塗布されている部分とそうでない部分が隔離され、高い安全性を発揮することができる。
アンダーコート層形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して塗膜を形成する方法は、スピンコート、スプレー塗布等、平面状に塗工することができるものであれば特に制限されず、当業者に公知の方法を採用することができる。塗工した後は、温風を当てる等の加熱により乾燥させ、塗膜を形成することができる。加熱温度は、アンダーコート層形成用組成物が溶媒を含む場合には、例えば溶媒の沸点前後の温度とすることができる。また、減圧下で溶媒を蒸発させることにより塗膜を形成してもよい。塗膜の形成後は、必要に応じて、ロールプレス等の方法によりプレスしてもよい。
アンダーコート層形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して得られた集電体用の積層シートには、次いで活物質層を塗布することで、電極シートを得ることができる。活物質層の塗工方法はアンダーコート層形成用組成物の塗布方法と同様、当業者に公知のものを採用することができる。活物質層の塗布領域を、電極シート上にアンダーコート層形成用組成物の塗布領域が現れるように塗工することで、短絡を防止し、また密着性に優れた電極シートを得ることができる。
第一の製造方法により、例えば、図1に示すような、集電体の上に、アンダーコート層形成用組成物を用いたアンダーコート層、活物質層がこの順番で積層された電極シートが得られる。
(第二の製造方法)
集電体用組成物を用いた電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の第二の製造方法(以下、「第二の製造方法」ともいう。)は、集電体用組成物をバインダー組成物として用いた製造方法である。
集電体用組成物を用いた電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の第二の製造方法(以下、「第二の製造方法」ともいう。)は、集電体用組成物をバインダー組成物として用いた製造方法である。
第二の製造方法は、電極形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して、電極形成用組成物の塗膜を形成する工程を含み、ここで、前記電極形成用組成物は、集電体用組成物からなるバインダー組成物と活物質とを含む。
第二の製造方法は、アンダーコート層を設ける工程を含んでいてもよい。アンダーコート層を設ける工程は、公知の方法から適宜選択でき、前記したアンダーコート層形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して塗膜を形成する工程であってもよい。
その他の条件は、第一の製造方法で述べたとおりであり、得られる電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体に応じて、適宜選択される。
第二の製造方法により、例えば、図2に示すような、集電体の上に、電極形成用組成物から形成される活物質層がこの順番で積層された電極シートが得られる。なお、図2において図示されないが、第二の製造方法により製造される電極シートは、集電体と電極形成用組成物から形成される活物質層との間に、アンダーコート層を有していてもよい。
[集電体]
集電体用組成物でコートされた集電体は、集電体用組成物を電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体にコートすることで製造できる。即ち、集電体用組成物でコートされた集電体は、集電体用組成物のコート層を有する。
集電体用組成物でコートされた集電体は、集電体用組成物を電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体にコートすることで製造できる。即ち、集電体用組成物でコートされた集電体は、集電体用組成物のコート層を有する。
電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体としては、金、銀、銅、アルミニウム、ニッケル、鉄、コバルト等の金属やカーボン繊維不織布、金属複合材料等の導電性を有する複合材料を例示できる。リチウムイオン二次電池においては、正極用にアルミニウム箔、負極用に銅箔が用いられており、電気二重層キャパシタにおいては、アルミニウム箔やアルミニウムのエッチング箔が用いられている。コーティングはグラビアコーターやスリットダイコーター、スプレーコーター、ディッピング等を利用することが出来る。コート層の厚さは0.01~100μmの範囲が好ましく、電気特性及び密着性の観点から0.05~5μmの範囲が更に好ましい。コート層の厚さが0.01μm以上である場合、十分な抵抗を発揮することができる。コート層の厚さが100μm以下である場合、電池としたときの体積に影響が出にくい。
[電池又は電気二重層キャパシタ]
集電体用組成物でコートした電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体を含む電池又は電気二重層キャパシタにおける、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタは、公知の方法によって製造することができる。
集電体用組成物でコートした電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体を含む電池又は電気二重層キャパシタにおける、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタは、公知の方法によって製造することができる。
以下に実施例を用いて、本発明を具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれらに限定されるものではない。添加量の表示は、断りが無い場合は質量部である。
[実施例1~28、比較例1~2:アンダーコート層形成用組成物としての集電体用組成物]
〔製造例1〕アンダーコート層形成用組成物の製造
表1に示す、各実施例に対応する各材料と配合量で、10Lのビーカーに各成分を加え、各成分が概ね均一に分散するまで攪拌して、アンダーコート層形成用組成物である塗工液を得た。

〔製造例2〕蓄電デバイス用電極シート
集電体1(幅300mm、厚さ20μmの圧延アルミニウム箔)及び集電体2(幅300mm、厚さ15μmの圧延銅箔)のそれぞれに、製造例1で得られたアンダーコート層形成用組成物である塗工液を幅200mmで塗布し、150℃温風炉で30秒乾燥させ、乾燥後の塗工膜厚が1μmの集電体1を用いた集電体積層シート1と、集電体2を用いた集電体積層シート2を作製した。
集電体1(幅300mm、厚さ20μmの圧延アルミニウム箔)及び集電体2(幅300mm、厚さ15μmの圧延銅箔)のそれぞれに、製造例1で得られたアンダーコート層形成用組成物である塗工液を幅200mmで塗布し、150℃温風炉で30秒乾燥させ、乾燥後の塗工膜厚が1μmの集電体1を用いた集電体積層シート1と、集電体2を用いた集電体積層シート2を作製した。
(負極の製造)
負極活物質としてグラファイト(昭和電工株式会社製;SCMG-AR)97.5重量%、バインダーとしてスチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)(日本エイアンドエル株式会社製;48重量%ラテックス、ナルスターSR-115)1.25重量%とカルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)(日本製紙ケミカル株式会社製;100重量%、サンローズF-600LC)1.25重量%を水溶媒に添加して、負極スラリーを製造した。この負極スラリーを、集電体積層シート2の塗工膜側に、幅180mmで塗工し、120℃温風炉で1分間乾燥させたのち、線圧300kgf/cmでロールプレスした。その後、100℃恒温槽にて6時間減圧乾燥させて、集電体積層シート2と負極活物質が積層した電極シート(以下、「負極1」という)を得た。なお、比較例2の負極1は、アンダーコート層形成用組成物を塗布しない圧延銅箔を用いて得た。得られた負極1について、評価条件の(1)に従って試験を行った。

(正極の製造)
正極活物質としてコバルト酸リチウム(日本化学工業株式会社製;C-5H)94重量%、導電助剤としてアセチレンブラック(AB)3重量%、及びバインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)(アルケマ株式会社製;カイナー761)3重量%をN-メチルピロリドン(NMP)溶媒に添加して、正極スラリーを製造した。この正極スラリーを、集電体積層シート1の塗工膜側に、幅180mmで塗工し、120℃温風炉で1分間乾燥させたのち、線圧300kgf/cmでロールプレスした。その後、120℃恒温槽にて6時間減圧乾燥させて、集電体積層シート1と正極活物質が積層した電極シート(以下、「正極1」という)を得た。
正極活物質としてコバルト酸リチウム(日本化学工業株式会社製;C-5H)94重量%、導電助剤としてアセチレンブラック(AB)3重量%、及びバインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)(アルケマ株式会社製;カイナー761)3重量%をN-メチルピロリドン(NMP)溶媒に添加して、正極スラリーを製造した。この正極スラリーを、集電体積層シート1の塗工膜側に、幅180mmで塗工し、120℃温風炉で1分間乾燥させたのち、線圧300kgf/cmでロールプレスした。その後、120℃恒温槽にて6時間減圧乾燥させて、集電体積層シート1と正極活物質が積層した電極シート(以下、「正極1」という)を得た。
〔製造例3〕蓄電デバイス
正極1を40mm×40mm、負極1を44mm×44mmでカットし、負極1はニッケルのタブを、正極1にアルミのタブを抵抗溶接で接合した。セパレータ(セルガード株式会社製;#2400)を幅46mm、長さ140mmにカットし、3つに折り返してその間に正極1及び負極1が対向するように挟み込み、これを幅50mm長さ100mmのアルミラミネートセルを二つ折りにしたもので挟み、タブが当たる部分にシーラントを挟み込んだ上でシーラント部分とそれに直行する辺を熱ラミネートして袋状にした。これを100℃の真空オーブンに12時間入れて真空乾燥させ、次いでドライグローブブローブボックス中で6フッ化リン酸リチウム/EC(エチレンカーボネート):DEC(ジエチルカーボネート)=1:1の1M電解液(キシダ化学株式会社製;LBG-96533)を注入し、真空含浸した後、余った電解液を扱き出し、真空シーラーで接合密封して、リチウムイオン二次電池を製造した。得られたリチウムイオン二次電池について、評価条件の(2)に従って試験を行った。
正極1を40mm×40mm、負極1を44mm×44mmでカットし、負極1はニッケルのタブを、正極1にアルミのタブを抵抗溶接で接合した。セパレータ(セルガード株式会社製;#2400)を幅46mm、長さ140mmにカットし、3つに折り返してその間に正極1及び負極1が対向するように挟み込み、これを幅50mm長さ100mmのアルミラミネートセルを二つ折りにしたもので挟み、タブが当たる部分にシーラントを挟み込んだ上でシーラント部分とそれに直行する辺を熱ラミネートして袋状にした。これを100℃の真空オーブンに12時間入れて真空乾燥させ、次いでドライグローブブローブボックス中で6フッ化リン酸リチウム/EC(エチレンカーボネート):DEC(ジエチルカーボネート)=1:1の1M電解液(キシダ化学株式会社製;LBG-96533)を注入し、真空含浸した後、余った電解液を扱き出し、真空シーラーで接合密封して、リチウムイオン二次電池を製造した。得られたリチウムイオン二次電池について、評価条件の(2)に従って試験を行った。
〔評価条件〕
(1)負極の抵抗測定
負極を、幅20mm長さ50mmのサイズで4枚切り出した。切り出した2枚の塗工面同士を合せ、その接触面を20mm×20mmになるよう調整し塩化ビニル板上に置いた。2枚が接触している部分に1kg/cm2になるよう加重を掛け接触部分を固定した。集電体同士が接触していない各々の端部をACミリオームメーターに結合し、負極の貫通抵抗値を2回測定した。
(1)負極の抵抗測定
負極を、幅20mm長さ50mmのサイズで4枚切り出した。切り出した2枚の塗工面同士を合せ、その接触面を20mm×20mmになるよう調整し塩化ビニル板上に置いた。2枚が接触している部分に1kg/cm2になるよう加重を掛け接触部分を固定した。集電体同士が接触していない各々の端部をACミリオームメーターに結合し、負極の貫通抵抗値を2回測定した。
(2)リチウムイオン二次電池の特性
(初期容量)
リチウムイオン二次電池を0.01mAの定電流で電圧が4.2Vになるまで充電した。次いで、4.2Vの定電圧で2時間充電した。その後、0.01mAの定電流で電圧が3Vになるまで放電した。これを2回繰り返し、2回目の充電容量と放電容量から充放電効率を算出した。
(初期容量)
リチウムイオン二次電池を0.01mAの定電流で電圧が4.2Vになるまで充電した。次いで、4.2Vの定電圧で2時間充電した。その後、0.01mAの定電流で電圧が3Vになるまで放電した。これを2回繰り返し、2回目の充電容量と放電容量から充放電効率を算出した。
(レート特性)
初期容量から放電レートを求めて、放電レート別の放電容量を測定した。充電は毎回10時間かけて定電流で4.2Vまで電圧を上げた後、4.2V定電圧で2時間充電した。その後、10時間かけて定電流で3Vになるまで放電し、このときの放電容量を0.1Cの放電容量とした。次に同様に充電した後、0.1Cで求めた放電容量から12分で放電が完了する電流値で放電し、そのときの放電容量を求め5Cのときの放電容量とした。
初期容量から放電レートを求めて、放電レート別の放電容量を測定した。充電は毎回10時間かけて定電流で4.2Vまで電圧を上げた後、4.2V定電圧で2時間充電した。その後、10時間かけて定電流で3Vになるまで放電し、このときの放電容量を0.1Cの放電容量とした。次に同様に充電した後、0.1Cで求めた放電容量から12分で放電が完了する電流値で放電し、そのときの放電容量を求め5Cのときの放電容量とした。
(サイクル寿命)
1Cで4.2Vまで充電し、4.2Vの定電圧で2時間充電したあと1Cで放電する充放電試験を実施した。放電容量が最初の1回目の放電に対して1,000サイクル後に何%になるかを計算した。

(サイクル寿命試験後の電極の剥離試験)
電池を上記サイクル寿命条件で1,000サイクル耐久充放電試験を行い、耐久試験後の負極から活物質層の脱離がないかを電池を分解して確認した。評価基準は以下の通りであった。
◎:全く脱離は見られない
○:一部脱離は見られるが、集電体は剥き出しになっていない
△:脱離が進行し、集電体の一部分が剥き出しになっている
×:脱離が進行し、集電体の大半が剥き出しになっている
電池を上記サイクル寿命条件で1,000サイクル耐久充放電試験を行い、耐久試験後の負極から活物質層の脱離がないかを電池を分解して確認した。評価基準は以下の通りであった。
◎:全く脱離は見られない
○:一部脱離は見られるが、集電体は剥き出しになっていない
△:脱離が進行し、集電体の一部分が剥き出しになっている
×:脱離が進行し、集電体の大半が剥き出しになっている
表2から、実施例の集電体用組成物をアンダーコート層形成用組成物として用いた場合、得られた負極は、集電体用組成物を用いないで得られた比較例2の負極と比べて、サイクル寿命性に優れることが示された。また、表2から、実施例の集電体用組成物を用いることにより、初期容量、レート特性のいずれも優れた特性を示しつつ、集電体から活物質層の脱離がないリチウムイオン二次電池を作製することができたことがわかる。また、実施例15~17の比較により、ポリアクリルアミドの重量平均分子量が1,000万以上、好ましくは、1,500万以上である場合、サイクル寿命性により優れることが示された。
[実施例29~48、比較例3~6:バインダー組成物としての集電体用組成物]
〔製造例4〕負極スラリーの製造
表3に示す、各実施例及び比較例に対応する各材料と配合量で、10Lのビーカーに各成分を加え、液温が30℃を超えないように冷却しながら、各成分が均一になるまで攪拌して、負極スラリーである塗工液を得た。

〔製造例5〕蓄電デバイス用電極シート
負極の製造(本発明1)
集電体として、集電体3(幅300mm、厚さ20μmの圧延銅箔を用いた。製造例4で得られた負極スラリーである塗工液を、集電体3の塗工膜側に、幅180mmで塗工し、120℃温風炉で1分間乾燥させたのち、線圧300kgf/cmでロールプレスした。その後、100℃恒温槽にて6時間減圧乾燥させて、集電体3と負極活物質が積層した本発明である電極板(以下、「負極2」という)を得た。
負極の製造(本発明1)
集電体として、集電体3(幅300mm、厚さ20μmの圧延銅箔を用いた。製造例4で得られた負極スラリーである塗工液を、集電体3の塗工膜側に、幅180mmで塗工し、120℃温風炉で1分間乾燥させたのち、線圧300kgf/cmでロールプレスした。その後、100℃恒温槽にて6時間減圧乾燥させて、集電体3と負極活物質が積層した本発明である電極板(以下、「負極2」という)を得た。
(正極の製造)
集電体として、集電体4(幅300mm、厚さ15μmの圧延アルミニウム箔)を用いた。正極活物質としてコバルト酸リチウム(日本化学工業株式会社製;C-5H)94重量%、導電助剤としてアセチレンブラック(AB)3重量%、及びバインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)(アルケマ株式会社製;カイナー761)3重量%をN-メチルピロリドン(NMP)溶媒に添加して、正極スラリーを製造した。この正極スラリーを、集電体4の塗工膜側に、幅180mmで塗工し、120℃温風炉で1分間乾燥させたのち、線圧300kgf/cmでロールプレスした。その後、120℃恒温槽にて6時間減圧乾燥させて、集電体4と正極活物質が積層した本発明である電極板(以下、「正極2」という)を得た。

〔製造例6〕蓄電デバイス
負極1を負極2に代え、正極1を正極2に代えた以外は、製造例3に記載された方法にて、リチウムイオン二次電池を製造した。得られたリチウムイオン二次電池について、前記した評価条件の(2)に従って試験を行った。

表4から、実施例の集電体組成物をバインダー組成物として用いた場合、得られた負極を用いた二次電池は、サイクル寿命性に優れることが示された。また、表4から、実施例の集電体組成物を用いることにより、初期容量、レート特性のいずれも優れた特性を示しつつ、集電体から活物質層の脱離がないリチウムイオン二次電池を製造することができたことがわかる。

Claims (12)
- ポリアクリルアミドと、有機酸、有機酸の無水物、無機酸、有機酸の金属塩及び無機酸の金属塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを含む、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体用組成物。
- ポリアクリルアミドの重量平均分子量が、1,000,000~100,000,000である、請求項1記載の集電体用組成物。
- 有機酸が、ピロメリット酸、1,2,3-プロパントリカルボン酸、アスパラギン酸、メリット酸及びポリアクリル酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、有機酸の無水物が、前記有機酸の無水物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、無機酸が、塩酸、フッ化水素酸、6フッ化リン酸及び4フッ化ホウ酸からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、有機酸の金属塩が、前記有機酸と、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム又はカルシウムとの塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、且つ、無機酸の金属塩が、前記無機酸と、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム又はカルシウムとの塩からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である、請求項1又は2記載の集電体用組成物。
- 更に、合成ゴム系ラテックス型バインダー、スチレンブタジエンゴムラテックス及びニトリルブタジエンゴムラテックスからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項記載の集電体用組成物。
- 更に、カーボンブラック、ニッケル粉、鉄粉、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア及びジルコニアからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項記載の集電体用組成物。
- 請求項1~5のいずれか一項記載の集電体用組成物からなる、アンダーコート層形成用組成物。
- 請求項1~5のいずれか一項記載の集電体用組成物からなる、バインダー組成物。
- 請求項7記載のバインダー組成物と活物質とを含む、電極形成用組成物。
- 請求項6記載のアンダーコート層形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して、アンダーコート層形成用組成物の塗膜を形成する工程、及び
前記アンダーコート層形成用組成物を塗布した集電体上に、導電性の活物質を塗布する工程、
を含む、電池又は電気二重層キャパシタの集電体の製造方法。 - 請求項8記載の電極形成用組成物を、集電体上に塗布して、電極形成用組成物の塗膜を形成する工程
