- FIG. 1 is an explanatory view showing an example of the structure of a shell-and-tube type heat exchanger.
- the present invention finds that in the process for producing a purified aromatic hydrocarbon, CHT is generated at the time of cooling (heat exchange step) by a heat exchanger after hydrorefining treatment (hydrogen addition step). Attributable to the The CHT is found to be generated in a specific temperature range by using metal sulfides, particularly iron sulfides, present in a heat exchanger as a catalyst, and the invention is completed by suppressing such chemical reaction.

- the heat exchange step is performed under the conditions satisfying the following (1) and (2).
- the heat exchanger is a shell-and-tube type heat exchanger, and the purified aromatic hydrocarbon obtained by the hydrogenation step is on the tube side of the heat exchanger Be drained
- the aromatic hydrocarbon raw material (sometimes referred to as “hydrocarbon (raw material”) or “raw material” in the present specification) to be purified by hydrogenation in this embodiment is a liquid containing aromatic hydrocarbon.
- Crude oil typically differs in appearance depending on the area of production, and also in composition and properties.
- classification method for example, classification by physical property and classification by chemical property are adopted. In the present embodiment, any classification can be used.
- the crude oil may be divided into fractions such as LP gas, naphtha, kerosene and gas oil before use.
- the aromatic hydrocarbon raw material preferably used in the present embodiment is a heavy hydrocarbon containing hydrocarbons having 5 or more carbon atoms.
- naphtha, cracked gasoline, etc. correspond to this. More preferably, they are heavy hydrocarbons containing aromatic hydrocarbons having 5 to 10 carbon atoms, and more preferably hydrocarbons containing aromatic hydrocarbons having 6 to 8 carbon atoms.
- hydrocarbons containing aromatic hydrocarbons having 5 to 10 carbon atoms can be generally obtained as petroleum refined C5 to C10 fractions.
- hydrocarbons containing aromatic hydrocarbons having 6 to 8 carbon atoms can be generally obtained as petroleum refined C6 to C8 fractions (benzene, toluene, xylene fractions).
- an aromatic hydrocarbon having 5 to 10 carbon atoms means a hydrocarbon having 5 carbon atoms and an aromatic hydrocarbon having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.
- the concentration of sulfur contained in the aromatic hydrocarbon raw material to be subjected to the hydrogenation step is not particularly limited, but it is preferably 10 ppm by weight to 1000 ppm by weight. In order to prevent the reaction tube from being easily clogged by coke etc., 10 ppm by weight or more is preferable from the viewpoint of forming a protective film on the surface of the reaction tube, which is necessary for the operation of the decomposition furnace. In view of the above, 1000 ppm by weight or less is preferable.
- the sulfur concentration in the aromatic hydrocarbon feedstock is more preferably 50 ppm by weight or more, still more preferably 70 ppm by weight or more, still more preferably 900 ppm by weight or less, and still more preferably 850 ppm by weight or less.
- the sulfur concentration in the aromatic hydrocarbon raw material is carried out in accordance with JIS K 2541-6 "Crude oil and petroleum products-Sulfur content test method-Part 6: Ultraviolet fluorescence method".
- Hydrogenation process The aromatic hydrocarbon raw material is first subjected to a hydrogenation step (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as "hydrogenation step").
- This hydrogenation step is performed for various purposes such as desulfurization, denitrogenation, deoxygenation, dehalogenation, saturation of olefins, formation of naphthenes from aromatics, elimination of metal compounds, decomposition of hydrocarbons and the like.
- the reaction conditions may be appropriately selected from known conditions depending on the composition and properties of the hydrocarbon (raw material) to be subjected to the hydrogenation step, and are not particularly limited.
- a reaction temperature of 290 ° C. to 420 ° C. is used, a pressure of 1 MPa to 8 MPa is used, and a hydrogen circulation amount of 35 to 350 m 3 / KL is used.
- a catalyst used for a hydrogenation process various well-known catalysts are mentioned, although it does not specifically limit, Usually, a cobalt * molybdenum type, a nickel molybdenum type, etc. are used preferably.
- ⁇ Heat exchange process> The hydrocarbons hydrogenated in the above process are then subjected to a heat exchange process. This step is carried out to lower the temperature of the heated hydrocarbons for the hydrogenation step. This heat exchange process is often carried out as a thermal energy recovery process for recovering thermal energy in consideration of energy saving and waste heat energy recovery.
- hydrocarbons hydrogenated in the hydrogenation step are also referred to as “purified aromatic hydrocarbon obtained in the hydrogenation step” or “purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step”.
- a well-known heat exchanger can be used as an apparatus used in the case of heat exchange.
- a heat exchanger for example, a plate type heat exchanger, a tube type heat exchanger such as a double-pipe type, a spiral type, a shell-and-tube type, etc. are known.
- any heat exchanger can be used here, it is relatively excellent in heat exchange performance, and it is difficult to cause retention of fluid and to prevent iron-based sulfide and the like that can be a catalyst for CHT formation from being accumulated inside. Therefore, it is preferable that it is a shell & tube type heat exchanger.
- the shell-and-tube type heat exchanger is a heat exchanger in which a plurality of tubes (heat transfer tubes) are housed in a shell (body part), and a large heat transfer area can be obtained in a small space.
- the heat transfer tube is constituted by a plurality of heat transfer tubes for exchanging heat between the first fluid flowing through the heat transfer tube and the second fluid flowing outside the heat transfer tube inside the body portion, and a body portion including the heat transfer tube.
- a plurality of baffles may be present inside said body.
- the baffles are shaped so as to close a substantially semicircular part in a cross section or horizontal perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the body, and a plurality of baffles alternately close the semicircular parts, It is arranged and fixed at an appropriate distance in the longitudinal direction of the fuselage.
- the heat exchanger used in a heat exchange process can be used individually by 1 type, and 1 type or more can be used by arbitrary combinations and a connection method.
- a plurality of heat exchangers of one type may be used in direct connection and / or parallel connection, or a plurality of heat exchangers of two or more types may be used in direct connection and / or parallel.
- a heat exchanger of a tube type heat exchanger it is preferable that the hydrogenated hydrocarbon in the above step flows through the tube side (inside the tube) of the tube type heat exchanger. Preferred reasons will be described later.
- Water is generally used as a heat medium used for the heat exchanger, but seawater or ground water may be used. However, in view of the case where the heat exchanger is broken, it is preferable to use a reclaimed water or the like in the factory so that the water after being used as a heat medium does not directly flow out.
- the present inventors have found that hydrogen sulfide contained in the purified aromatic hydrocarbon to be subjected to the heat exchange step is in a high temperature range, specifically about 130 ° C. to about 205 ° C., using an iron-based sulfide or the like as a catalyst. It has been found that it reacts with hydrocarbons in the temperature range to byproduce CHT. CHT has a high boiling point of 158 ° C. and can not be removed outside the system at normal temperature. Therefore, CHT remains in the purified aromatic hydrocarbon, resulting in an increase in residual sulfur concentration. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the generation of CHT is suppressed by the two solutions (first and second solutions) described in detail below, and as a result, the sulfur concentration in the purified aromatic hydrocarbon is reduced.
- First solution means The first solution means is carried out from the viewpoint of suppressing the formation of an iron-based sulfide which is a catalyst of CHT by-product.
- CHT is formed in excess in the presence of a hydrocarbon and hydrogen sulfide at 130 ° C. or higher using an iron-based sulfide as a catalyst.
- iron used as a constituent element of iron system sulfide mixes by corrosion etc. of carbon steel generally used in a component (a plate, shell, a tube, piping etc.) of a heat exchanger. Further, as described above, iron-based sulfides remarkably act as a catalyst in a certain temperature range.
- an iron alloy containing chromium and / or molybdenum (simply, “iron alloy”) at least a part of the material which is brought into contact before the refined aromatic hydrocarbon is cooled to 130 ° C. in the heat exchange process after the hydrogenation process.
- iron alloy chromium and / or molybdenum
- the amount of CHT produced can be significantly reduced.
- the iron alloy containing chromium and / or molybdenum may be selected in consideration of the level of corrosion resistance, cost and the like, and is not particularly limited.
- the iron alloy preferably contains 50% by weight or more of iron. Further, those containing 12% by weight or more and 26% by weight or less of chromium are preferable.
- the content of molybdenum is preferably 1% by weight or more and 4% by weight or less.
- the special steel (alloy steel) of this type containing chromium or molybdenum has significantly enhanced corrosion resistance, and can significantly reduce the outflow of iron components due to corrosion or the like.
- the iron alloy include chromium steel, chromium molybdenum steel, nickel chromium steel, nickel chromium molybdenum steel, manganese chromium steel, molybdenum-containing carbon steel, stainless steel and the like.
- the iron alloy is preferably a chromium-containing iron alloy, more preferably stainless steel.
- Specific examples thereof include austenitic stainless steels such as SUS 304, martensitic or ferritic stainless steels of SUS 400 series, etc. From the point of brittleness to hydrogen sulfide, martensitic or ferritic stainless steels of SUS 400 series. Is more preferred.
- the iron alloy is more preferably one having a passive film formed on the surface.
- the valve metal means a metal such as aluminum, zirconium, titanium, chromium, zinc, tantalum, niobium, hafnium, tungsten, bismuth, antimony or the like which forms an oxide film against the corrosion action on the metal surface.
- a plate, a shell, a tube, a pipe, etc. which are various constituent members of the heat exchanger, may be made of these materials.
- the tube may be made of the various materials described above .
- the second solution is from the viewpoint of suppressing the accumulation in the heat exchanger of the iron-based sulfide which is a catalyst of the CHT by-product.
- CHT is by-produced in the heat exchanger by the reaction of hydrogen sulfide contained in the purified aromatic hydrocarbon with hydrocarbons using an iron-based sulfide as a catalyst.
- the heat exchange is carried out by passing the liquid to be lowered in temperature (the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step in the present embodiment) through the curved flow path, Heat is recovered by sufficiently contacting the low temperature heat medium outside the system.
- a liquid whose temperature is to be lowered is made to flow through the shell side (for example, Table 4 ⁇ 13 in Chemical Engineering Manual Revision 7th Edition P261, shell side It can be seen that fuel oil, gasoline and heavy oil are passing).
- FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing the general structure of a shell-and-tube type heat exchanger.
- the second solution will be described in more detail with reference to FIG.
- the liquid to be lowered in temperature in this embodiment, the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step is introduced into the heat exchanger from the tube side nozzle 1 and disposed in the shell 4 via the upper side of the bonnet portion 3 divided by the partition plate 2 It flows into the U-shaped tube 5 and then is discharged from the tube side nozzle 7 below the lower side of the bonnet portion 3 to the outside of the heat exchanger.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon passing through the inside of the tube 5 is cooled by transferring heat to the heat medium in the shell 4 introduced from the shell side nozzle 9.
- the heat medium which receives heat is introduced from the shell side nozzle 9 and meandered inside the shell 4 by the baffle 8 and heated by coming into contact with the tube 5 to heat the outside of the heat exchanger from the shell side nozzle 6 Discharged into Thus, thermal energy can be recovered.
- a bend in the baffle 8 causes a flow rate difference in the shell. Since it is easy, a relatively slow region of the flow velocity (for example, the immediate rear side of the lower side of the lower partition plate and the like) is generated, and a solid or the like is easily retained in this low flow velocity region.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step is introduced to the shell side, if the heat exchanger is used continuously, iron-based sulfides gradually accumulate in the same region, and as a result, CHT gradually It turned out that the amount of by-products of Therefore, when using a shell-and-tube type heat exchanger, the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step is passed through the tube side, and a heat medium such as water is passed through the shell side to obtain iron. The accumulation of sulfides is suppressed, and the increase of the by-product amount of CHT in the heat exchanger can be significantly reduced.
- the first and second solutions can suppress the formation of CHT and consequently reduce the concentration of sulfur in the purified aromatic hydrocarbon, but the following solutions can be used alone or It is also possible to use it in combination with the first and second solutions.
- cooling of the purified aromatic hydrocarbon takes place in a temperature range of 130 ° C. or more and 205 ° C. or less, shortening the treatment time, in other words, quenching the purified aromatic hydrocarbon in the temperature range Is particularly effective in suppressing the excessive formation of CHT.
- in-system passage of the purified aromatic hydrocarbon until it is cooled to 205 ° C. to 130 ° C. can be suppressed for a period of time such as 60 seconds in which CHT can be suppressed. It is preferable to pass below. More preferably, it is 40 seconds, more preferably 35 seconds or less.
- the in-system passage time can be appropriately set by the heat exchanger to be applied, but for example, the passage time in the heat exchanger can be set by measuring the CHT concentration on the inlet side and the outlet side of the heat exchanger. it can.
- the temperature at which the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after the hydrogenation step is passed through the heat exchanger is at least 205 ° C., and the purified aromatic hydrocarbon is discharged from at least one heat exchanger.
- the temperature at the time of the reaction is 130.degree. C. or less, and the transit time from the liquid flow to the discharge is 60 seconds or less.
- the passage time in the system is more preferably 40 seconds or less, still more preferably 35 seconds or less.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon has a temperature of 180 ° C.
- the in-system passage time refers to a value obtained by dividing the volume of the flow path of the device including the heat exchanger by the volumetric flow rate per unit time.
- the other solution means it is possible to sufficiently reduce the production amount of CHT by passing the temperature range in which CHT is excessively generated in a short time. Furthermore, for example, by suppressing the accumulation of the iron-based sulfide serving as the catalyst by using the first and second solving means in combination, the generation amount of CHT can be more reliably reduced.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon thus obtained preferably contains a hydrocarbon having 5 to 10 carbon atoms, and more preferably contains 10 or less aromatic hydrocarbons having 5 or more carbon atoms.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon thus obtained preferably contains a hydrocarbon having 5 or more carbon atoms as a main component, and more preferably, has 6 to 10 carbon atoms as a main component.
- the main component referred to herein is a component contained in an amount of 50% by weight or more, preferably 70% by weight or more, based on the total amount of aromatic hydrocarbons. In the case of producing an aromatic hydrocarbon having 6 or more and 10 or less carbon atoms, since CHT is easily generated in the heat exchange step, the application value of the present embodiment becomes remarkable.
- the effects of the present invention are exhibited when the resulting purified aromatic hydrocarbon is a mixed fraction of benzene, toluene and xylene (a benzene-toluene-xylene mixed fraction).
- the benzene-toluene-xylene mixed fraction is a mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons having a benzene ring or a structure in which a methyl group is introduced as a substituent, and produces a cyclic olefin as a raw material for producing CHT in a hydrogenation process. Easy to do.
- the effect of the present invention is particularly remarkable since the cyclic olefin is particularly liable to react with hydrogen sulfide to form CHT.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbon thus obtained has a weight concentration in terms of sulfur, that is, a sulfur concentration of preferably 1.5 ppm by weight or less, more preferably 1.0 ppm by weight or less, still more preferably 0.8 wt. It is at most ppm, particularly preferably at most 0.6 ppm by weight.
- the sulfur concentration is measured according to JIS K 2541-6 "Crude oil and petroleum products-Sulfur content test method-Part 6: Ultraviolet fluorescence method".
- the concentration of CHT can be determined from the concentration of sulfur in the aromatic hydrocarbon.
- ⁇ CHT concentration> The purified aromatic hydrocarbon thus obtained has a CHT concentration of substantially 1.5 ppm by weight or less.
- the concentration of CHT all sulfurs detected by quantitative analysis of sulfur in aromatic hydrocarbons are calculated as CHT derived. It can also be carried out using gas chromatography as described in the examples.
- oxygen gas at 99.5% or more, gas specified in JIS K 1101 and argon gas at 99.99% or more, gas specified in JIS K1105 were used.
- the measurement method is as follows. Using argon as a carrier gas, 40 ⁇ L of the sample was injected into the reaction tube maintained at 800 to 1000 ° C. The flow rate of argon gas at this time was 400 ml / min. The sulfur compounds in the sample were thermally decomposed and then oxidized by oxygen gas. The flow rate of oxygen gas at this time was 300 ml / min for both main and secondary. Then, after removing the moisture in the sulfur dioxide gas generated by oxidation, ultraviolet light was measured.
- Sulfur dioxide absorbs energy from ultraviolet light and converts it to excited sulfur dioxide.
- the fluorescence emitted when the excited sulfur dioxide returned to the ground state sulfur dioxide was detected by a phototube, and the amount of sulfur was calculated from this fluorescence amount.
- measurement of samples was carried out.
- Quantitative analysis of CHT Quantitative analysis of CHT was performed by gas chromatography (apparatus: manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation, model number GC-2014, column DB-1), and the amount of CHT was calculated by an absolute calibration curve method.
- a flame photometric detector using an interference filter for sulfur compounds was adopted as a detector.
- each of the cracked gasolines (hydrocarbons) having a sulfur content of 70.0 ppm by weight to 816.6 ppm by weight is used as an aromatic hydrocarbon raw material to be purified using a hydrogenation reactor.
- the hydrogenation reactor outlet fluid is passed through the equipment and piping composed of chromium-containing stainless steel and molybdenum-containing carbon steel, and is specified by the TEMA (US Heat Exchanger Industry Association)
- the solution was cooled to a temperature higher than 205 ° C. to 130 ° C. or lower by passing the solution through the tube side of the shell-and-tube type heat exchanger.
- the in-system passage time (retention time) in the temperature range of 205 ° C. to 130 ° C. was 19.0 seconds to 36.1 seconds.
- the sulfur content contained in the refined aromatic hydrocarbon (liquid hydrocarbon) after a process of all was 0.2 weight ppm or less (refer Table 1).
- the CHT concentration contained in the purified aromatic hydrocarbon after treatment was 0.5 ppm or less when converted from the sulfur concentration.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbons after treatment contained benzene, toluene, xylene and the like.
- the CHT (as converted from the sulfur concentration) contained in the aromatic hydrocarbon (liquid hydrocarbon) after treatment is 5.8 to 8.0 ppm by weight, and the sulfur content is 1.6 ppm by weight to 2.2
- the sulfur content was high even though the cracked gasoline having a low sulfur concentration was used as a raw material, as compared with Examples 1 to 6, which was a weight ppm.
- the CHT (measured value by gas chromatography) contained in the aromatic hydrocarbon (liquid hydrocarbon) after the treatment of Comparative Examples 1 to 5 is 5.8 to 7.5 ppm by weight, and The "converted value from sulfur concentration" and "measured value” were substantially the same.
- the purified aromatic hydrocarbons obtained in Examples 1 to 10 have a low CHT concentration, and when used as a fuel, sulfur oxides are less likely to be released into the air, and the exhaust gas treatment catalyst is less likely to be damaged. Moreover, it is not necessary to perform desulfurization again after the hydrorefining treatment, which is preferable from the viewpoint of productivity and economy.

<CHT濃度>
