Definitions
- the object of the present invention is a beer dispensing tap, comprising: a tap body provided with a beer inlet and outlet; - an opening and closing valve, associated with an actuation lever that can be rotated in a horizontal plane or a vertical plane; said valve being provided with an internal passage and housed in the tap body with the possibility of turning between opening and closing positions of the beer passage and - means for retaining the valve in a position of partial opening and foam generation.
- This tap has the particularity that said retention means comprise at least one interchangeable plate provided with a recess arranged in a position suitable for the coupling of a ball and the retention of the handle and the valve in a certain partial opening position of the tap and foam generation.
- the exchange of the interchangeable plate with another one that has the recessed in a different position allows to vary the position of partial opening and of generation of foam, without changing the rest of parts of the tap.
- This invention is applicable in the field dedicated to the manufacture of beer dispensing taps. State of the art.ds
- patent ES 2 545 835 B2 of the same applicant a lateral cutting tap for beer dispenser is described, comprising a hollow body provided with a beer inlet and an outlet to a dispensing spout, and an opening and closing valve provided with a bent orifice to control the passage of beer from the inlet to the outlet, when it is actuated through an axis linked to a turning handle
- the faucet is provided with means for selecting the position of the handle that secure and fix the handle in at least one specific position of closing the tap, and a specific position of atomizing the beer for the creation of foam , without having to hold the handle for it.
- the surface of the valve orifice In the opening position the surface of the valve orifice fully coincides with the beer inlet; in the closed position the surface of said hole has no coincidence with the beer inlet, and in the foam generating position, it coincides with a small part of its surface with the beer inlet.
- the means for selecting the position of the handle can be of different types, being constituted for example by: a magnetic mechanism, a spring or strap mechanism; or a snap mechanism.
- the ball is associated to the handle and the mentioned housing defined in the body of the tap.
- the recess for the housing of the retention ball requires a high precision machining, since its position determines the degree of coincidence of the surface of the valve orifice with the beer inlet and consequently the capacity of the tap for creation of foam;
- the beer dispensing tap object of the present invention is of the type comprising: - a tap body provided with a beer inlet and outlet; - an opening and closing valve associated with an actuation lever, said valve being provided with an internal passage and housed in the tap body with the possibility of turning between opening and closing positions of the beer passage; and - valve retention means in a position of partial opening and foam generation.
- This beer dispenser tap presents constructive particulars aimed at satisfactorily solving the exposed problem; incorporating in the tap body and in a rotating part integral with the handle of the tap, retaining means comprising: - a ball housed in a hole of the body or of the rotating part integral with the handle and which is moved by a spring towards an outstanding position and, - at least one interchangeable plate coupled to the rotating part or to the body, and forming a contact surface of the retention ball during the relative rotation of the body and the rotating part, and the opening and closing of the tap; said interchangeable plate comprising a recess arranged in a position suitable for the retention of the handle and the valve in a certain position of partial opening of the tap and of foam generation.
- the definition of the recess for the coupling of the ball and the definition of the position of retention of the handle and the valve in a certain position of partial opening provides different advantages of use since the machining of said recess is not carried out in the body of the faucet or the rotating part associated with the operating lever, thus eliminating the risk of errors in the machining of said recess and irreversible deterioration of the rotating part associated with the handle or the faucet body.
- the position of partial opening of the faucet and of foam generation is therefore determined by the position of the recess in the interchangeable plate in use, which can be replaced by another one in case the amount of foam generated by the faucet in said position the opening partial is not the one desired by the client; all with minimal cost and without the need to discard the body or the rotating part of the tap
- the tap comprises several interchangeable plates, which have their respective recesses in slightly different angular positions, each of said plates determining in their position of use, a different position of partial opening of the tap and of foam generation.
- the interchangeable plates provided with a recess in a different position than other interchangeable plates, have a variable number of notches, depending on the position of the corresponding recess in relation to a reference position.
- This feature facilitates the choice by the installer and depending on the preferences of the user, of that interchangeable piece that has the recessed in a suitable position to allow the passage of a greater or lesser amount of beer in the position of partial opening and generation of foam
- the interchangeable plate is formed in a material of greater hardness than the body, or that the rotating part, carrier of said interchangeable part.
- the interchangeable plate is the one that forms the contact surface with the ball
- said interchangeable plate is formed of a hard material, for example in steel, which allows that part on which the interchangeable plate is mounted (body or rotating part), can be formed of a material of lower hardness and lower cost, for example aluminum, zamak, resin or even plastic.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of an exemplary embodiment of the beer dispenser tap according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a front elevation view of the beer dispenser tap in the closed position shown in Figure 1 and partially sectioned by a vertical plane.
- - Figure 3 shows a perspective view, partially exploded, of the tap of the previous figure, in which some stops defined in the rotating part can be observed for the assembly of an interchangeable plate provided with a recess for the coupling of a ball forming, together with said interchangeable plate, some of the valve retention means a partial opening position and foam generation.
- FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of the tap from an opposite side to that of the previous figure, partially exploded, in which the hole defined in the tap body for housing the ball and the spring can be observed.
- FIG. 5 shows an elevation view of several interchangeable plates with their respective recesses in slightly different angular positions, said figure including reference lines that allow to appreciate the small difference in position of the respective recesses.
- FIG. 6 shows schematic views of the profile of the tap, in which the relative position of the ball and the interchangeable plate can be observed in: the closing position, the opening position, and the position of partial opening and foam generation respectively.
- a beer dispensing tap comprising a body (1) provided with an inlet (1 1) and an outlet (12) of beer has been shown.
- said body (1) has inside it an opening and closing valve (2), provided with an angled inner passage (21), associated by means of a horizontal axis (22), a a drive handle (23), allowed to rotate in a vertical plane.
- Said valve (2) is possible for lateral rotation between a closed position represented in Figures 1, 2 and 6 and an open position represented in Figure 7.
- This tap has valve retaining means (2) in a partial opening and foam generation position, shown in Figure 8. In this position a small part of the section the inner passage (21) of the valve (2) is arranged facing the entrance (1 1) of the body (1), defining a reduced step that causes the generation of foam in the beer.
- said retention means comprise a ball (3) housed in a hole (13) of the faucet body (1) and which is displaced by a spring (31) against an interchangeable plate (4). ) coupled to a rotating part (24) integral with the handle (23) of the tap.
- the rotating part (24) has on the surface facing the body (1) of the tap some stops (25) suitable for coupling the interchangeable plate (4).
- Said interchangeable plate (4) forms a contact and sliding surface of the ball (3) during the joint rotation of the handle (23), of the rotating part (24), the horizontal axis (22) and the valve (2) between the open and close tap positions.
- Said interchangeable plate (4) is provided with end fittings for engagement in the stops of the rotating part; and of a recess (41) for the fitting of the ball (3) and the retention of the handle (23) and of the valve (2) in a certain position of partial opening of the tap and of foam generation, represented in the figure 8.
- FIG 5 several interchangeable plates (4, 4a, 4b, 4c) are shown that have their respective recesses (41) in angular positions slightly different, so that using one or another interchangeable plate (4, 4a, 4b, 4c) a different position of partial opening of the faucet and foam generation and adaptation of the amount of foam produced by the faucet is achieved the requirements requested for each beer dispensing installation, without the need to vary any other part of the tap.
