Abstract

Cupboard doors system made up of at least one door sliding in a top rail and a bottom rail. The door (1) is formed of the assembly of at least two panel elements (11 – 13), a main element (12) and at least one auxiliary element (11 – 13) and of side trims (4) in two parts (4a) assembled with one another in the continuation of a handle (5), these segments (4a) being push-fitted onto the two edge faces of the assembled panels (11 – 13), the top (2) and bottom (3) rails being formed by the assembly of at least two segments of profile element (21, 31).

"SYSTEM OF ADJUSTABLE SLIDING DOORS"

Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a closet or wardrobe door system consisting of at least one sliding door in a high rail and a low rail.

State of the art

Sliding door systems are known for storage spaces such as closets, wardrobes or wardrobes.

However, these door systems have the disadvantage of being bulky because even if these door systems are intended to be installed by the user, they are often available only in the assembled state and even in the non-state. completely assembled, some elements are relatively large, difficult to transport with a passenger vehicle.

Purpose of the invention

The present invention aims to facilitate the development of closet door systems composed of sliding doors by facilitating their transport and installation while allowing a wide variety of aspects and decorations adaptable to each system.

Description and advantages of the invention

For this purpose, the invention relates to a closet door system composed of at least one sliding door in a high rail and a low rail. The door is formed by assembling at least two panel members, a main member and at least one auxiliary member, and two-part side gaskets joined to each other in the extension with a handle. segments being fitted on the two edges of the assembled panels.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the high and low rails are formed by assembling at least two profile segments.

This door system is easily packaged in a package of small dimensions, compatible with the usual means of transport, whether for passenger vehicles whose trunk, with possible folding seats, can receive a such a packaged system reduced to very small dimensions compared to the dimensions of a door, for example halved or even a third of the total dimension.

This also makes it easy to adapt the height of the door according to the dimensions of the closet, the wardrobe or more generally the storage space.

The invention also allows to diversify the doors of the same closet system by allowing the choice of materials or decorations of the panel elements and fittings and accessories such as handles according to customer requests.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the transverse edges of the assembled panels are engaged in two opposite cavities of a cross-section section with an H-shaped section.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the panels are assembled singing against edge and the backs of the panels are held together by screwed splints.

These assembly systems are very simple because they require virtually no screwing, being simply by interlocking and locking.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the high rail is formed of at least two segments having sides with tubular housings for receiving assembly pins at the meeting of two segments.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the low rail is formed of at least two segments having a sole with on top of the pairs of ribs delimiting between them a raceway, the ribs having tubular housings for receiving the connecting pins to the meeting of two segments.

Thus, the low and high rails assemble very simply by interlocking and once assembled, they are fixed in place.

They can also be installed from the installation of a rail segment and the interlocking of the next segment and the fixing thereof.

According to another advantageous feature, the side trim is formed of G-section segments having a longitudinally slit-shaped entrance with a side and a square top and a convex underside, retracting, extending by a projection with a curved edge, the top extending by a descending edge provided with a re-entrant tongue, thus delimiting the entrance and forming a support in three points. This form of side trim has the advantage not only of stiffening the door and to serve for its maintenance but also to assemble very simply on the panel elements.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the handle has an inner contour of similar shape to a profile complementary to the outer contour of the profile of the segments with an input homologous to the input of the segments and delimited by:

- one side, a square top and extended by a descending return, and

- The side joining the bottom with a recessed portion and an extension with a gripping edge.

The side seals are thus held by the handle whose inner shape is adapted to the outer contour of the segments forming the side trim.

According to an advantageous characteristic, already mentioned above, the door system is grouped in a package whose contour is delimited by the main panel element, that is to say the larger one of a door, as well as high and low rail elements and profile segments forming side seals and whose length is less than or equal to that of the main panel, as well as handles and guiding and rolling accessories.

The sliding door system in a package can also be divided to lighten the packaging and facilitate its handling as well as the diversification of the decorations.

Thus, a first package for a sliding door system will consist of the basic elements of the installation, including the elements of a door. The door or doors will be packaged in separate packages, which allows to diversify the decorations and choose combinations of sets corresponding to different doors of a door system. These door systems consist at least of a sliding door with a rail for sliding.

The single doors can be diversified by the decor and be separately packaged thus allowing the realization of sliding door systems with two, three, four, five or more doors.

Description of Embodiments of the Invention

According to Figure 1, the invention relates to a system of sliding doors closet, presented in installed position; the sliding doors being closed. The set consists of two sliding doors 1 guided in twin rails, high 2 and twin rails, low 3 installed on the floor and ceiling of an opening 100 forming a storage space.

The elements of this set are supplied unassembled, grouped together in a package 200 (FIG. 10) of dimensions compatible with the means of transport, for example for lodging in a car boot.

In the unassembled state, the sliding doors consist of panel elements 1 - 13 cut to be assembled, sections forming gaskets 4 laterally bordering the assembly of the panel elements 1 - 13 of each door 1 with handles 5 as well as sleepers 8 or assembly elements 9 to maintain the elements of panels 1 to 13, joined singing against singing. The high rails 2 and 3 are also composed of two assembled segments 21, 31. The various elements and their assembly will be described below.

FIG. 2, in its parts 2A, 2B, is a perspective view of the high rail 2 formed of two profile segments 21 assembled by pins 22. The high rail 2 which is a twin rail for the two sliding doors 1 is composed of two segments of profile 21 having the half-length of the complete rail 2. The two segments 21 have the same section shown in Figure 2C. This section is formed of a bottom wall 21 1 delimited by two sides 212 and carrying a partition 213 thus defining two cavities C1 receiving the top of each door 1 with its guide means such as carriages. The sides 212 and the partition 213 have the same hollow structure with tubular housings 212a, b, 213a of circular section. The bottom 21 1 also has tubular housings 21 1a, 21 1b at its junction with the sides 212 and the partition 213.

The tubular housings 21a, b, 212a, b, 213a preferably have the same section to receive assembly pins 22 (FIG. 2B) to keep the two segments 21 assembled and aligned.

The low rail 3 (FIGS. 3A, B, C) is also a twin rail formed by the assembly of two segments 31 of length equal to the half-length of the low rail 3. These two segments 31 are provided with housings to be assembled and aligned with pins 32.

FIG. 3C shows the shape of the section of the low rail profile 3. The profile is in the form of a sole 31 1 with, on its top, two pairs of ribs 312 delimiting between them a path 313. The median plane of the paths 313 is spaced from the same distance D as the median planes of the cavities C1 of the high rail 2.

312a of circular section to receive a pin 32 (Figure 3B). For the sake of simplicity, the housings 312a have the same section as those of the high rail 2 and the assembly pins 32 are identical to the pins 22. Figure 4 is a section of the profile forming the segments 4a of each side gasket 4 of a door 1. The profile 4 has a G-shaped section with a longitudinal inlet 40 in the form of a slot. The section is generally rectangular with a side 41 and a top 42 at the square and a bottom 43 convex, returning, extending by an advanced 44 curved edge 441. The top 42 is extended by a descending edge 45 provided with a tongue 46 entering, delimiting the opening receiving the edge of the door panel 1. The profile 4 thus forms a support in three points:

on the one hand, the curved shape 431 of the re-entrant underside 43 and the curved edge 441, and

- On the other hand, the tongue 46 entering.

Thus, the edge of the panel of the door 1 is pinched and further retained by the tongue 46 forming a stop hanging in the surface of the panel 1 1- 13. As will be detailed next, the side trim 4 is fitted by its longitudinal opening on the edge of the panel elements 1 1, 12, 13.

The two segments 4a are assembled by being fitted in a handle 5 of inner section equal to the outer section of the segments 4a.

The handle 5 shown in its various views in FIG. 5 generally has a square or rectangular section with an entrance 50 in the form of a slot along its entire length and a projecting protruding edge 541. Inwardly, this section has a rounded relief serving as a blocking support. This inner section has at least partly a shape surrounding the outer contour of the section of the section 4a forming the side trim 4. The relief of the handle 5 is less than the free space between two doors installed in the rails, at least for the back door.

More specifically, the handle 5 has a similar shape to a profile for its inner contour complementary to the outer contour of the segment profile 4a. But its outer shape is not necessarily the same throughout its length. As in the example shown, the handle 5 is a molded part with, according to the orientation used in FIG. 4 for the trim profile 4, one side 51 and a top 52 at the square; the top is extended by a downward return 55. The side 51 joins the underside 53 with a hollow portion 531 forming a cavity appearing in the sectional view of Figure 5C.

The underside 53 has an extension 54 forming a handle with the gripping edge 541. Like the trim profile 4, the handle 5 has a support at three points complementary to that of the lining 4, at the edge of its longitudinal inlet 40:

on the one hand, the recessed portion 531 and the edge 541, and

- on the other hand, the descending edge 55.

The side 51 has two locations 51 1 (Figure 5A) for receiving pellets forming abutments.

FIG. 6 shows an example of assembly operation of the segments 4a of the edge trim 4 and of the handle 5. The ends of the segments 4a are engaged by a connection by the shape in the handle 5. engage more or less in a controlled manner according to the actual height of the door, which avoids having to cut / saw in place the profiles according to this height. For this, as shown in the enlarged view (Fig. 6A), the edge has a graduation 57 in the form of a label indicating the depth of insertion of the segments 4a to have the total length desired for the edge trim. The assembly of the handle 5 and the two segments 4a can then be blocked to prevent migration between the handle 5 and the segments 4a under the effect of vibrations and shocks to the operation of the door 1.

FIG. 7, in its parts 7A-7D, shows in sectional drawings, the realization of the side trim 4 by the assembly of the segments 4a in the handle 5 (FIGS. 7A, 7D), then the fitting (arrow Fl) from the edge of the door 1 in the lining 4.

Figure 8, in its parts 8A, 8B, shows an assembly variant. The panel elements 1 - 13 are provided with a strip 6 glued on the edge to hang behind the tongue 46. The descending edge has an adhesive strip 56 which will be folded (arrow F2) on the back of the panel elements 1 to 13 and complete the assembly. Figure 9 shows a step of assembling the door. In this example, the panel of the door consists of a central element 12 bordered by two high end elements 1 1 and low 13. The panel elements 1 1 - 13 are for example reconstituted wood, synthetic material; they are coated and decorated and eventually incorporate a mirror surface.

The connection between the elements 1 to 13 is made with two intermediate cross members 8 receiving the edges of the two neighboring elements (1 to 13). The cross member 8 is an H-section section forming two cavities for receiving the edges of the elements (1 to 13). The sleepers 8 have a length fixed by the width of the door 1 taking into account the engagement of the side edges of the panels 1 - 13 in the side fittings 4 so that the cross members 8 come together between the fittings side 4.

The pinching of the panel elements 1 - 13 blocks the positioning in the linings 4.

After this installation on the two packings 4, the door 1 receives the guide elements up and down to lodge in the high and low rails. These elements are not represented.

Figure 9A shows the detail of the junction of a side trim 4, a crossbar 8 and two panel elements (1 to 12) or (12 to 13).

Figure 10 is a perspective view of the package 200 bringing together the elements of a system of two doors. All these elements are grouped in the contour of the largest element, that is to say the two central panel elements 12 of the two doors 1.

The other components and in particular the segments 21, 31 of the up and down rails, the segments 4a of the side packings 4, the crosspieces 8 and the handles 5 are thus grouped in a minimum volume and of dimensions compatible with the transport means (box car).

FIG. 11 shows an assembly variant of the sliding door system which differs from the previous example in assembling the door elements 1 1 to 13. Each door 1 is formed a central panel element 12 combined with a low element 13 and a high element 1 1. The latter (1 1) is shown being cut to adapt the height (C) of the door 1 to its location installation. The elements 1 - 13 are joined singing against singing and they are held by ribs 9 screwed to the back and overlapping the junction of the songs. Adhesive strips 6 distributed on the two edges of the assembled panels promote the attachment of the linings. These are made as before and then pleated on both edges of the panel elements.

The package 200 presented above corresponds to a complete set of elements and accessories for two sliding doors and whose dimensions are reduced for easy transport.

However, if the weight of the package 200 is likely to be too heavy, it is possible to make lighter packages by dividing the batch of elements and accessories into two packages, for example a base package with some elements common to a system of two sliding doors and other elements directly associated with a door.

This allows from a basic package to lighten the packages and facilitate their transport, the overall dimensions being defined by the larger panel element.

It also allows to diversify the doors by customizing the choice of decorations (decorations of panels and handles) of each door of a system of two sliding doors, or even three or four sliding doors. For example, the material and color patterns of the panel elements and side trim may be varied. Some panel elements may be complemented by an ice or other decorative element and trim. NOMENCLATURE
