Definitions
- the present invention relates to a dishwasher with improved drying efficiency.
- the standard washing cycles in dishwashers comprise pre-washing, main washing, first rinse, second rinse and drying steps.
- the second rinse step is performed with warm water in order to enhance the drying performance.
- subsidiary cleaning agents named rinse aid is used in addition to detergents, in order to increase the drying performance and the radiance of the kitchenware.
- Rinse aid forms a thin layer of film on the washed items. This layer reduces the surface tension of water and enables it to flow from the surfaces of the items more easily. By using rinse aid, the dirt particles likely to be retained in the rinsing water is removed by means of water without clinging on the surfaces of the washed items. Rinse aid is conveyed to the washing tub by means of a dosing unit.
- the amount of rinse aid can be determined automatically or by the user.
- the rinse aid dosing process is interrupted in case a safety issue arises with the dishwasher or its door is opened by the user during washing. When the washing cycle continues afterwards, the rinse aid is dosed from the very beginning, or rinse aid dosing is not performed at all. This leads to use of insufficient or excessive amount of rinse aid. Using insufficient rinse aid decreases the drying performance, and using excessive rinse aid causes forming of spots on the kitchenware.
- EP2563202 mentions a household appliance capable of dosing cleaning agent suitable for parameters selected by the user.
- the aim of the present invention is to realize a dishwasher with improved drying performance.
- the dishwasher realized to achieve the aim of the present invention and disclosed in the first claim and the dependent claims comprises a washing tub and a dosing unit enabling conveyance of rinse aid into the washing tub.
- the kitchenware to be washed are placed in the washing tub.
- Rinse aid is conveyed on the kitchenware located in the washing tub by means of the dosing unit. By this, water droplets can glide on the kitchenware, leaving no spots.
- the dishwasher of the invention comprises a memory unit recording the amount of rinse aid transferred to the washing tub, and a control unit.
- the control unit enables dosing according to information received from the memory unit.
- the amount of rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub is recorded by the memory unit. By this, the determined amount of rinse aid is completely conveyed to the washing tub.
- the dishwasher comprises a memory unit recording the duration during which the dosing unit is energized.
- the memory unit records the duration during which the dosing unit is energized. The amount of rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub can thus be recorded.
- the dishwasher comprises a control unit enabling determination of rinse aid amount according to the duration information it receives from the memory unit.
- the duration information and the amount of rinse aid corresponding to these durations are saved in the memory of the control unit.
- the control unit determines conveyance of the rinse aid amount matching with the duration information.
- the dishwasher comprises a memory unit recording the final rinse aid dosing duration when the washing program is interrupted and continued for whatever reason.
- the control unit enables continuation of rinse aid dosing according to the value recorded in the memory unit.
- the dishwasher comprises a memory unit enabling resetting the duration information after completion of the washing program. By this, the memory unit begins recording again with the new washing program.
- the dishwasher comprises a control unit enabling determination of the rinse aid dosing amount suitable for the washing program selected by the user. By this, the amount of rinse aid most suitable for the selected washing program is conveyed to the washing tub.
- the dishwasher comprises a control unit enabling conveyance of the amount of rinse aid corresponding to the parameters selected by the user, to the washing tub.
- the amount of rinse aid varies according to parameters when the user selects various parameters in addition to the washing program.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the dishwasher.
- Figure 2 is a frontal view of the dosing unit.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a washing tub (2) in which the items to be washed are placed, and a dosing unit (3) enabling conveyance of the cleaning agent used in the washing cycle and the rinse aid which assists washing, to the washing tub (2).
- Rinse aid is conveyed to the washing tub (2) by means of the dosing unit (3). Water droplets flow on the kitchenware by gliding thanks to the rinse aid, thereby enhancing drying performance.
- the dishwasher (1) of the invention comprises a memory unit (4) enabling recording the amount of the rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub (2), and a control unit (5) enabling conveyance to the washing tub (2) of rinse aid of an amount suitable for the washing program according to the information it receives from the memory unit (4).
- the amount of rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub (2) is recorded by the memory unit (4).
- the control unit (5) determines the rinse aid amount according to information it receives from the memory unit (4) when rinse aid is to be conveyed to the washing tub (2) again. By this, the required amount of rinse aid is conveyed to the washing tub (2). Spotting on the kitchenware is prevented, enhancing drying performance.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a memory unit (4) enabling recording the duration in which the dosing unit (3) is active.
- the memory unit (4) records the duration in which the dosing unit (3) is energized. The amount of rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub (2) can thus be determined.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a control unit (5) comprising the rinse aid amount information corresponding to rinse aid conveyance duration presaved by the producer.
- the control unit (5) determines the amount of rinse aid to be conveyed according to duration information it receives from the memory unit (4). The amount of rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub (2) is thus be determined.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a memory unit (4) recording the rinse aid amount dosed ultimately when the washing program is stopped and continued for whatever reason, and the control unit (5) continuing conveyance of rinse aid according to the values retrieved from the memory unit (4).
- the memory unit (4) records the final amount of rinse aid conveyed to the washing tub (2).
- rinse aid dosing continues from the interruption point when the washing program resumes.
- Rinse aid is added when the amount of rinse aid required in the washing tub (2) is higher than the amount conveyed ultimately. By this, the rinse aid dosing amount suitable for the washing program is enabled each time. Drying performance is enhanced.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a memory unit (4) enabling deletion of the information relating to rinse aid conveyance duration to the washing tub (2) after completion of the washing program.
- the duration information recorded by the memory unit (4) is deleted after completion of the washing program. Recording restarts upon activation of a new program. By this, a correct amount of rinse aid conveyance is performed with each washing program.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a dosing unit (3) enabling transmission to the washing tub (2) the rinse aid amount suitable for the washing program selected by the user, presaved by the producer on the control unit (5).
- the control unit (5) determines rinse aid amount suitable for the washing program selected by the user.
- the rinse aid amount changes automatically when the user changes the washing program. Drying performance is enhanced by using the rinse aid amount suitable for each washing program.
- the dishwasher (1) comprises a dosing unit (3) enabling transmission to the washing tub (2) the rinse aid amount corresponding to the additional parameters besides the washing program selected by the user, presaved by the producer on the control unit (5).
- selected parameters such as extra temperature, rapid washing, and the rinse aid amounts corresponding to these parameters are defined in the control unit (4).
- the control unit (5) enables conveyance of the rinse aid amount corresponding to parameters to the washing tub (2).
- a dishwasher (1) using rinse aid correctly and therefore whose drying performance is enhanced is realized with the present invention.
- the rinse aid amount sent to the washing tub (2) is recorded when the washing program is interrupted for whatever reason. By this, the missing amount of rinse aid is conveyed to the washing tub (2) when the washing program resumes.
- the control unit (5) determines the rinse aid amount to be conveyed to the washing tub (2) depending on the washing program or the parameters selected by the user. By this, the rinse aid amount suitable for each parameter is sent to the washing tub (2). Insufficient or excessive use of rinse aid is thus prevented. By this, drying performance is improved and the kitchenware leave the dishwasher (1) more radiantly.
