  • the UV light emitting means 15 comprises an ultraviolet light source 16 and a light conveyor 17, i.e. a light diffusor, which are arranged on the body 2 so as to illuminate substantially the whole inner volume of the special compartment 8.
  • the cooling device 1 comprises a switch 18 for selectively turning on and off the UV light emitting means 15. More in detail, in case the second cover 9 is a door, the switch 18 can be operationally connected to the door so as to be switched off when the door is open for accessing the special compartment 8 and switched on when the door is closed.
  • the switch 18 is mounted on the body 2 so as to be switched off by the drawer 11 when the latter is extracted from the special compartment 8 and to be switched on by the drawer 11 when the latter is inserted in the special compartment 8.
