Then, after 6 hours from irradiation, the dermal papilla cells were recovered and RNA (ribo-specific acid) was extracted. Using this RNA, changes in the amounts of HGF, KGF, Leptin, and VEGF- ⁇ , which are factors having hair growth promoting effects, were compared and examined by semi-quantitative RT-PCR for each irradiation energy.
- RNA ribo-specific acid
- Experiment 1 The result of Experiment 1 will be described with reference to FIG.
- the expression levels of Leptin, VEGF- ⁇ , HGF, and KGF mRNA in hair papilla cells increased from an irradiation energy of 0.6 J / cm 2 to 5.6 J / cm 2 , but 16 J / cm. From 2 it decreased to the control level (no irradiation, indicated by C in the figure).
- the amount of GAPDH mRNA expression as a control did not change with each irradiation energy.
- Experiment 2 a petri dish cultured until the normal human hair papilla cells were filled up as described above was irradiated under irradiation conditions based on the prior art, not irradiated as a control, and in this embodiment A comparison was made on the production of factors that promote hair growth when irradiated under the irradiation conditions of the hair growth / hair growth promoting apparatus.

- the light-emitting diode was irradiated (or not irradiated) on the first day, the second day, and the third day, respectively, and then the culture solution was collected on the fourth day, and VEGF- ⁇ in the culture supernatant was collected.
- the protein concentrations of were measured and compared by the ELISA method.
- the protein concentration of VEGF- ⁇ in hair papilla cells not irradiated with red light was also measured.
- the expression level (concentration) of VEGF- ⁇ produced from hair papilla cells irradiated with irradiation energy of 1.2 / cm 2 through a band-pass filter was also about 1500 pg / cml. (See leftmost bar chart). Also in this case, an increase in the production of VEGF- ⁇ , which is one of the hair growth promoting factors, was confirmed. On the other hand, as a control, it was confirmed that the expression level of VEGF- ⁇ produced from the dermal papilla cells that were not irradiated with red light at all (see the second bar graph from the left) was smaller than that when irradiated with red light. .
- the hair growth / hair growth promoting device When irradiation was performed using a light emitting diode having a half width of 20 nm as an irradiation condition by the hair growth / hair growth promoting device according to this embodiment, an increase in the factor for promoting hair growth could be confirmed. Therefore, if the half-value width of the light emitting diode is 20 nm or less, a similar increase in the factor for promoting hair growth can be expected. Furthermore, the use of a light emitting diode without a bandpass filter can be expected to be more compact than existing devices.
- the bandpass using the light emitting diode 3 that emits light having a peak wavelength range of 630 nm to 660 nm and a half width of 15 nm to 20 nm By directly irradiating without passing through a filter, a sufficient hair-growth / hair growth-promoting effect can be stably obtained without using ultra-narrow band light having a half-width of 10 nm or less. Further, since a diffusion lens is not required, a compact device can be realized.
- the center wavelength is 630 nm
- the production of the hair growth promoting agent is increased.
- the irradiation energy when striking the head of the user at 3J / cm 2 or more 6J / cm 2 or less, it can be expected to be more the production of hair growth promoting agent.
