Abstract

L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé de décarboxylation sélective catalytique d'un matériau de départ pour produire un acide organique. Le matériau de départ peut être au moins l'un d'un acide dicarboxylique, un acide tricarboxylique et un anhydride d'un acide dicarboxylique ou tricarboxylique. Selon un mode de réalisation donné à titre d'exemple, l'acide itaconique peut être un matériau de départ et l'acide organique peut être de l'acide méthacrylique. La température prédéterminée peut être de 250 0 C ou moins, et la pression de réaction peut être inférieure à 425 psi. En outre, un inhibiteur de polymérisation peut être utilisé.
