Description
본 발명은 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브 및 그의 제조 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 종단으로부터 일정 길이만큼 측면으로 발산되는 측면 발산부와 종단에 구 형상의 종단 발산부를 형성함으로써, 외부의 이물질이 내부로 침입되는 것을 억제하면서도 내화학성 및 내열성을 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브 및 그의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 광학 치료는 LED(Light Emitting Diode), 레이저 등의 광원을 비정상조직(병변)에 조사하는 것으로서, 병변 조직의 파괴, 병변 조직 절개(수술), 온열 치료, 광역동 치료(Photo Dynamic Therapy; PDT) 등이 있다. 상술한 광학 치료 방법 중에서 체내에서 발생한 병변을 치료하기 위해서 광섬유 프로브 등을 체내에 삽입하여 해당 부위에 근접시킨 후 광을 조사하는 시술법이 제시되었으나 광섬유 프로브가 체내에서 화학적 반응을 일으켜 발화되거나 산화되는 문제점이 발생하였다.
한편, 상술한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 광섬유 프로브의 끝에 커버 글라스 등으로 마감하는 방식이 제안되었다. 상술한 해결책은 체내에서 화학적 반응을 일으키는 것을 억제할 수 있었으나, ㎛ 단위의 광섬유 프로브에 적용되는 것은 어려웠다.
본 발명의 배경기술은 대한민국 공개 특허 공보 제10-2015-0025543호에 게시되어 있다.
상술한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 안출된 본 발명의 과제는, 종단으로부터 일정 길이만큼 측면으로 발산되는 측면 발산부와 종단에 구 형상의 종단 발산부를 형성함으로써, 외부의 이물질이 내부로 침입되는 것을 억제하면서도 내화학성 및 내열성을 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 과제는, 상술한 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브를 용이하게 제조할 수 있는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브의 제조 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브는 입사광이 도파되는 코어, 상기 코어를 둘러싸며 배치되는 클래딩, 상기 코어에 연결되어 형성되며, 상기 코어로 도파되는 입사광이 원기둥 측면으로 발산되는 측면 발산부, 상기 측면 발산부를 둘러싸며 배치되는 확산층, 상기 측면 발산부에 연결되어 구 형상으로 형성되며, 상기 측면 발산부로 도파되는 입사광이 외부로 발산되는 종단 발산부, 상기 클래딩 및 상기 확산층을 둘러싸며 배치되어, 상기 클래딩 및 상기 확산층을 밀봉하는 피복제를 포함하며, 상기 클래딩의 굴절률은 상기 코어의 굴절률보다 낮고, 상기 확산층의 굴절률은 상기 코어의 굴절률보다 높으며, 상기 피복제의 굴절률은 상기 클래딩과 확산층의 굴절률보다 높다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브는, 상기 코어, 상기 측면 발산부 및 상기 종단 발산부가 일체로 형성되는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브는, 상기 측면 발산부의 원기둥 측면에는 오목하게 곡면 형상이 형성되어 있는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브는, 상기 측면 발산부의 원기둥의 원형 단면에는 오목 곡면 형상이 대칭적으로 형성되어 있는 것이 바람직하다.

본 발명의 이점 및 특징, 그리고 그것들을 달성하는 방법은 첨부되는 도면과 함께 상세하게 후술되어 있는 실시 예들을 참조하면 명확해질 것이다. 그러나 본 발명은 이하에서 개시되는 실시 예들에 한정되는 것이 아니라 서로 다른 다양한 형태로 구현될 수 있으며, 단지 본 실시 예들은 본 발명의 개시가 완전하도록 하고, 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 발명의 범주를 완전하게 알려주기 위해 제공되는 것이며, 본 발명은 청구항의 범주에 의해 정의될 뿐이다. 명세서 전체에 걸쳐 동일 참조 부호는 동일 구성 요소를 지칭한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브는 도 1에 도시된 것처럼, 입사광이 도파되는 코어(130), 상기 코어(130)를 둘러싸며 배치되는 클래딩(120), 상기 코어(130)에 연결되어 형성되며, 상기 코어(130)로 도파되는 입사광이 원기둥 측면으로 발산되는 측면 발산부(210), 상기 측면 발산부(210)를 둘러싸며 배치되는 확산층(220), 상기 측면 발산부(210)에 연결되어 구 형상으로 형성되며, 상기 측면 발산부(210)로 도파되는 입사광이 외부로 발산되는 종단 발산부(240) 및 상기 클래딩(120) 및 상기 확산층(220)을 둘러싸며 배치되어, 상기 클래딩(120) 및 상기 확산층(220)을 밀봉하는 피복제(110)를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
여기에서, 상기 클래딩(120)의 굴절률은 상기 코어(130)의 굴절률보다 낮고, 상기 확산층(220)의 굴절률은 상기 코어(130)의 굴절률보다 높으며, 상기 피복제(110)의 굴절률은 상기 클래딩(120)과 확산층(220)의 굴절률보다 높다.
구체적으로, 코어(130)나 클래딩(120)은 실리카, 유기물질 등으로 제조될 수 있으며, 상기 코어(130), 상기 측면 발산부(210) 및 상기 종단 발산부(240)는 동일한 물질로 일체로 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 확산층(220)은 UV 경화용 에폭시, 열 경화용 에폭시 2액형 에폭시 등으로 제조될 수 있으며, 피복제(110)는 내열성 내화학성 특정을 갖는 물질로 제조되어 인체에 삽입되는 경우에 생물학적 안정성 검사를 통과할 수 있어야 되므로, PEEK(Poly Ether Ether Ketone), ETFE(Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), PFA(Per Fluoro Alkoxy) PTFE(Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene) 등으로 제조될 수 있다.
한편, 상기 측면 발산부(210)의 원기둥 측면에는 도 2에 도시된 것처럼, 오목하게 곡면 형상이 형성되어 있으며, 상기 측면 발산부(210)의 원기둥의 원형 단면에는 도 3에 도시된 것처럼, 오목 곡면 형상이 대칭적으로 형성되어 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브의 제조 방법은 먼저, 코어(130)를 둘러싸며 배치되는 클래딩(120)의 소정의 부분을 제거한다.
다음으로, 상기 클래딩(120)의 소정의 부분이 제거된 코어(130)의 원기둥 측면에 오목하게 곡면 형상이 형성되는 측면 발산부(210)를 가공하고, 상기 측면 발산부(210)에 연결되어 구 형상으로 형성되는 종단 발산부(240)를 가공한다.
다음으로, 상기 클래딩(120) 및 상기 측면 발산부(210)를 둘러싸며 배치되는 피복제(110)를 가공하며, 상기 코어(130)의 굴절률보다 높은 물질을 상기 측면 발산부(210)를 둘러싸며 배치되도록 주입하여 확산층(220)을 가공하고, 도 4에 도시된 것처럼, 상기 피복제(110)가 상기 클래딩(120) 및 상기 확산층(220)을 밀봉하도록 가공한다.
본 발명이 속하는 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명이 그 기술적 사상이나 필수적인 특징을 변경하지 않고서 다른 구체적인 형태로 실시될 수 있다는 것을 이해할 수 있을 것이다.
그러므로 이상에서 기술한 실시 예들은 모든 면에서 예시적인 것이며 한정적이 아닌 것으로 이해해야만 한다.
본 발명의 범위는 상기 상세한 설명보다는 특허청구의 범위에 의하여 나타내어지며, 특허청구의 범위의 의미 및 범위 그리고 그 균등 개념으로부터 도출되는 모든 변경 또는 변형된 형태가 본 발명의 범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 한다.
Claims (5)
- 입사광이 도파되는 코어;상기 코어를 둘러싸며 배치되는 클래딩;상기 코어에 연결되어 형성되며, 상기 코어로 도파되는 입사광이 원기둥 측면으로 발산되는 측면 발산부;상기 측면 발산부를 둘러싸며 배치되는 확산층;상기 측면 발산부에 연결되어 구 형상으로 형성되며, 상기 측면 발산부로 도파되는 입사광이 외부로 발산되는 종단 발산부; 및상기 클래딩 및 상기 확산층을 둘러싸며 배치되어, 상기 클래딩 및 상기 확산층을 밀봉하는 피복제를 포함하며,상기 클래딩의 굴절률은 상기 코어의 굴절률보다 낮고, 상기 확산층의 굴절률은 상기 코어의 굴절률보다 높으며, 상기 피복제의 굴절률은 상기 클래딩과 확산층의 굴절률보다 높은 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 코어, 상기 측면 발산부 및 상기 종단 발산부는 일체로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 측면 발산부의 원기둥 측면에는 오목하게 곡면 형상이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 측면 발산부의 원기둥의 원형 단면에는 오목 곡면 형상이 대칭적으로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브.
- 입사광이 도파되는 코어를 둘러싸며 배치되는 클래딩의 소정의 부분을 제거하는 단계;상기 클래딩의 소정의 부분이 제거된 코어의 원기둥 측면에 오목하게 곡면 형상이 형성되는 측면 발산부를 가공하는 단계;상기 측면 발산부에 연결되어 구 형상으로 형성되는 종단 발산부를 가공하는 단계;상기 클래딩 및 상기 측면 발산부를 둘러싸며 배치되는 피복제를 가공하는 단계;상기 코어의 굴절률보다 높은 물질을 상기 측면 발산부를 둘러싸며 배치되도록 주입하여 확산층을 가공하는 단계; 및상기 피복제가 상기 클래딩 및 상기 확산층을 밀봉하도록 가공하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 클래딩의 굴절률은 상기 코어의 굴절률보다 낮으며, 상기 피복제의 굴절률은 상기 클래딩 및 확산층의 굴절률보다 높은 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 치료용 광섬유 프로브의 제조 방법.
