Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Formgedächtnislegierung enthaltend die Zusammensetzung bestehend aus: - 30 bis 53 Gew.-% Cobalt; - 18 bis 35 Gew.-% Aluminium, sowie - 22 bis 40 Gew.-% Eisen und ggf. unvermeidbare Verunreinigungen.

Formgedächtnislegierungen aus einem Eisen-Cobalt-Aluminium System
Technisches Gebiet
Die vorliegende Anmeldung betrifft eine Formgedächtnislegierung auf Basis eines ternären Systems bestehend aus dem Elementen Eisen, Cobalt und Aluminium sowie die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Formgedächtnislegierung .
Technischer Hintergrund
Formgedächtnislegierungen sind Legierungen, die in zwei unterschiedlichen Kristallstrukturen existieren können . Nach einer vorangegangenen plastischen Verformung können diese Legierungen durch Überschreiten der As-Temperatur in ihre alte Form gebracht werden, was als Einweg-Effekt bezeichnet wird . Ferner existieren Legierungen, die bei zwei unterschiedlichen Temperaturen ihre Form erinnern . Solche weisen dann einen sog . Zweiweg-Effekt auf. Des Weiteren können Formgedächtnislegierungen ein pseudoelastisches Verhalten zeigen, das durch eine reversible spannungsinduzierte martensitische Umwandlung charakterisiert ist.
Auf Nickel und Titan basierende Formgedächtnislegierungen zeigen hervorragende Eigenschaften hinsichtlich Reversibilität, Zyklenzahl und Umwandlungstemperaturen. Durch den hohen Preis der Ni- Ti-Legierungen und die begrenzte Umformbarkeit sind die Anwendungsgebiete begrenzt und kommen nur dort infrage, wo beispielsweise kleinere Mengen des Materials erforderlich sind .
Eisenbasierte Formgedächtnislegierungen, wie Fe-Mn-Si-Legierungen haben einen deutlich niedrigeren Preis als Ni-Ti-Legierungen, besitzen jedoch eine geringe Zyklenzahl als Ni-Ti-Legierungen. Bekannt sind ebenfalls eisenbasierte Formgedächtnislegierungen der Systeme Fe-Ni-Co-Al-Ti/Ta/Nb- B, Fe-Ni-Si, Fe-Ni-Nb, Fe-Ni-C, die aber entweder aufgrund der komplexen Herstellung, mangelnder Eigenschaften, Sprödigkeit oder Umwandlungstemperaturen nicht infrage kommen .
Zusammenfassung der Erfindung
Der Erfindung liegt somit die Aufgabe zu Grunde eine verbesserte Formgedächtnislegierung bereitzustellen .
Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe durch eine Formgedächtnislegierung mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1.
Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Formgedächtnislegierung eine Zusammensetzung enthält bestehend aus 30 bis 53 Gew.-% Cobalt, 18 bis 35 Gew.-% Aluminium, bevorzugt 21 bis 35 Gew.-% Aluminium, und 22 bis 40 Gew.-% Eisen sowie ggf. unvermeidbare Verunreinigungen .
Überraschenderweise hat sich gezeigt, dass eine Formgedächtnislegierung enthaltend die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung zum einen höhere Umwandlungstemperaturen und zum anderen höhere Zyklenzahlen aufweist als vergleichbare Systeme im Stand der Technik.
Bevorzugt weist die Formgedächtnislegierung eine Phasenumwandlungstemperatur As und Ms im Bereich von 0 °C bis 200 °C auf.
Mehr bevorzugt weist die Formgedächtnislegierung eine Phasenumwandlungstemperatur As und Ms im Bereich von 60 °C bis 160 °C auf.
In einer anderen bevorzugten Ausführungsform beträgt die Differenz zwischen As und Ms 25 bis 40 °C.
Die Phasenumwandlungstemperatur ist dabei abhängig von der Zusammensetzung der Formgedächtnislegierung . Durch eine gezielte Erhöhung des Anteils einer Komponente kann die Phasenumwandlungstemperatur der Formgedächtnislegierung beispielsweise herabgesetzt werden.
Gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform besteht die Formgedächtnislegierung aus 40 Gew.-% Eisen, 30 Gew.-% Cobalt und 30 Gew.-% Aluminium.
Gemäß einer anderen bevorzugten Ausführungsform besteht die Formgedächtnislegierung aus 32 Gew.-% Eisen, 47 Gew.-% Cobalt und 21 Gew.-% Aluminium.
In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform besteht die Formgedächtnislegierung aus 30 Gew.-% Eisen, 39 Gew.-% Cobalt und 31 Gew.-% Aluminium.
In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform besteht die Formgedächtnislegierung aus 29 Gew.-% Eisen, 53 Gew.-% Cobalt und 18 Gew.-% Aluminium.
In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform besteht die Formgedächtnislegierung aus 22 Gew.-% Eisen, 43 Gew.-% Cobalt und 35 Gew.-% Aluminium.
Gemäß einem weiteren Aspekt betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Formgedächtnislegierung als Verbindungselement.
Gemäß einem weiteren Aspekt betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Formgedächtnislegierung als Aktorikelement.
Gemäß einem weiteren Aspekt betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Formgedächtnislegierung als Dämpfungselement.
Beispiele
Die folgenden fünf Zusammensetzungen der erfindungsgemäßen Formgedächtnislegierung wurden mittels des Magnetronsputterverfahrens hergestellt.
(1) Fe4oCo3oAI3o (Gew.-%)
(2) Fe32C047Al2i (Gew.-%)
(3) Fe3oCo39AI31 (Gew.-%)
(4) Fe29Co53Al18 (Gew.-%)
(5) Fe22Co43AI35 (Gew.-%)
Für die Herstellung der Zusammensetzungen (1) bis (5) wurde die Sputterkammer Kl (CMS 600/400LI N) der kombinatorischen Beschichtungsanlage 2173 der Firma DCA, Finnland verwendet. Die Beschichtungsanlage besteht aus zwei Sputterkammern (Multilagenverfahren (Kl) und Co- Depositionsverfahren (K2)), der zentralen Verteilungskammer und einer Schleusenkammer. Die Zusammensetzungen wurden sowohl im Multilagenverfahren, als auch im Co-Depositionsverfahren hergestellt.
Die Reinheit der eingesetzten Metalle (Targetmaterialien) betrug jeweils 99,95%. Der Basisdruck in der Sputterkammer lag bei 2*10 5 Pa . Zu Beginn jedes Herstellungsprozesses, vor der Abscheidung, wurden die Targetmaterialien bei geschlossener Quellblende, einem Ar-Partialdruck (Ar-Reinheit: 6N) von 1 ,99 Pa, mit einem Ar-Durchfluss von 100 sccm und bei einer Sputterleistung von 150 W für 3 min gereinigt. Für die Abscheidung wurde der Ar-Partialdruck auf 0,67 Pa mit einem Durchfluss von 60 sccm eingestellt. Bis auf Si wurden sämtliche Elemente mittels Gleichspannung (DC) abgeschieden . Um für Si als Halbleiter eine vergleichbare Sputtterrate (0,25 nm/s) zu erreichen, wurde es mittels gepulster Gleichspannung (pDC: Frequenz: 50kHz, Pulslänge: 496 ns) gesputtert.
Es wurden Si-Substrate (Durchmesser: 100 mm) mit einer 1,5 mm dicken Si02 Schicht als Diffusionsbarriere verwendet.
Für die Herstellung der Zusammensetzungen mittels des Co-Depositions-Verfahrens (Sputterkammer K2) wurden in der Kammer fünf Kathoden (vier Kathoden für „RF-Sputtern" und eine für „DC- Sputtern") kreisförmig im Abstandswinkel von 72° oberhalb des Substrates angeordnet. Für einen stabilen Sputterprozess wurde bei nichtleitenden Materialien eine hochfrequente Wechselspannung („RF-Sputtern") mit 13,56 MHz angelegt. Der Abstand zwischen Substrat- und Targetoberfläche betrug 187 mm, bei einem Neigungswinkel der Kathoden von 45°. Bei der Co-Depostition wurden die gewünschten Targetmaterialien simultan auf dem Substrat abgeschieden . Es wurde eine atomare Durchmischung der gesputterten Targetmaterialien bereits in der Gasphase erzielt und damit eine Durchmischung der Materialien erreicht.
Zur Durchmischung und Legierungsbildung der Multilagenschichten wurden die Zusammensetzungen unmittelbar nach der Abscheidung geglüht. Dies wurde in den Sputterkammern Kl und K2 durch einen in den Manipulator integrierten Heizer durchgeführt. Sämtliche Zusammensetzungen wurden bei 500 °C für 60 min unter Vakuum geglüht. Für höhere Temperaturen erfolgten die Glühungen extern. Für weitere Glühungen bei 600°C und 700°C wurde ein Röhrenofen (HTRH 150-600/16, Gero), mit angeschlossener Glovebox (Sylatech) verwendet. Dort wurden die Glühungen unter einem konstanten Ar-Fluss (150 l/h) durchgeführt.
Die erhaltenen Legierungszusammensetzungen (1) - (5) wurden im Anschluss durch Messung des elektrischen Widerstands und mittels der Röntgendiffraktometrie (XRD) charakterisiert.
Die Charakterisierung des elektrischen Widerstands erfolgte bei Raumtemperatur. Der Abstand zwischen den einzelnen Messbereichen wurde auf 1,5 mm eingestellt, so dass sich ein Raster von insgesamt 3084 Messpunkten über die gesamte Oberfläche einer Zusammensetzung ergibt. Sämtliche Charakterisierungen wurden mit einem angelegten Messstrom von 50 mA durchgeführt. Um einen statistischen Mittelwert zu erhalten, wurde jede einzelne Messung dreimal durchgeführt und aus diesen Messwerten ein arithmetischer Mittelwert gebildet und für die anschließende Charakterisierung verwendet.
Ferner wurde ein temperaturabhängiger Widerstand gemessen . Hierfür wurde der Messstand entsprechend weiterentwickelt, so dass innerhalb eines definierten Temperaturbereichs die jeweilige Zusammensetzung in einem Rasterverfahren vollständig charakterisiert werden kann . Es wurde immer ein Temperaturbereich von -30 °C bis 200 °C bei einer Heiz-/Kühlrate von 0,5 °C/min vorgegeben und während dessen die jeweilige Zusammensetzung mit einem Messkopf abgerastert, auf dem 5 mal 4 Federkontaktstifte angeordnet sind.
Die kristallographischen Phasen der Zusammensetzungen wurden mittels der Röntgendiffraktometrie
(XRD) in der Bragg-Brentano-Geometrie charakterisiert.
Verwendet wurde ein X'Pert Pro MPD (PANAalytical) Röntgendiffraktometer (Cu-Ka-Strahlung (λ: 0, 154 nm) und Ni-Filter zur Elimination der Cu-Kß-Strahlung, 0,04° Kollimator hinter der Röntgenquelle und vor dem Detektor, Pixel-Liniendetektor). An der Röntgenquelle wurde eine 5 mm breite Messingblende eingesetzt und die Bestrahlungslänge auf der Schichtoberfläche wurde mittels programmierbarer Divergenz-Blenden auf 3 mm eingestellt, so dass jeder Messbereich eine Fläche von ca . 3 x 5 mm2 aufweist. Die Schrittweite wurde auf 0,013° eingestellt. Der zu untersuchende Winkelbereich 2Θ wurde auf 30 - 90° festgelegt.
Kurze Beschreibung der Zeichnungen
Im Folgenden werden einige bevorzugte Formgedächtnislegierungen anhand von Zeichnungen näher erläutert. Im Einzelnen zeigen :

Fig. 1 zeigt Messkurven einer temperaturabhängigen Widerstandsmessung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe4oCo3oAI3o (Gew.-%). Hierbei zeigt sich während des Aufheizens eine Änderung des elektrischen Widerstands zwischen 65 - 75 °C, die eine Martensit -> Austenit Umwandlung nachweist. Während des Abkühlens findet eine elektrische Widerstandsänderung zwischen 95 - 105 °C statt, die eine Austenit -> Martensit Umwandlung nachweist.
Fig. 2 zeigt eine temperaturabhängige Phasenanalyse mittels XRD(T)-Messung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe4oCo3oAI3o (Gew.-%), die eine reversible Phasenumwandlung nachweist. Hierbei zeigt sich beim Aufheizen eine Verschiebung der Peaks sowie eine Änderung der Peakform. Nach dem Abkühlen nehmen die Peaks wieder ihre ursprüngliche Form an .
Fig. 3 zeigt Messkurven einer temperaturabhängigen Widerstandsmessung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe32Co47AI2i (Gew.-%). Hierbei zeigt sich während des Aufheizens eine Änderung des elektrischen Widerstands zwischen 80 - 90 °C, die eine Martensit -> Austenit Umwandlung nachweist. Während des Abkühlens findet eine elektrische Widerstandsänderung zwischen 120 - 130 °C statt, die eine Austenit -> Martensit Umwandlung nachweist.
Fig. 4 zeigt eine temperaturabhängige Phasenanalyse mittels XRD(T)-Messung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe32Co47AI2i (Gew.-%), die eine reversible Phasenumwandlung nachweist. Hierbei zeigt sich beim Aufheizen eine Verschiebung der Peaks sowie eine Änderung der Peakform. Nach dem Abkühlen nehmen die Peaks wieder ihre ursprüngliche Form an .
Fig. 5 zeigt Messkurven einer temperaturabhängigen Widerstandsmessung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe30Co3gAl3i (Gew.-%). Hierbei zeigt sich während des Aufheizens eine Änderung des elektrischen Widerstands zwischen 60 - 70 °C, die eine Martensit -> Austenit Umwandlung nachweist. Während des Abkühlens findet eine elektrische Widerstandsänderung zwischen 90 - 100 °C statt, die eine Austenit -> Martensit Umwandlung nachweist.
Fig. 6 zeigt eine temperaturabhängige Phasenanalyse mittels XRD(T)-Messung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe3oCo39AI31 (Gew.-%), die eine reversible Phasenumwandlung nachweist. Hierbei zeigt sich beim Aufheizen eine Verschiebung der Peaks sowie eine Änderung der Peakform. Nach dem Abkühlen nehmen die Peaks wieder ihre ursprüngliche Form an .
Fig. 7 zeigt Messkurven einer temperaturabhängigen Widerstandsmessung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe2gCo53Ali8 (Gew.-%). Hierbei zeigt sich während des Aufheizens eine Änderung des elektrischen Widerstands zwischen 125 - 135 °C, die eine Martensit -> Austenit Umwandlung nachweist. Während des Abkühlens findet eine elektrische Widerstandsänderung zwischen 150 - 160 °C statt, die eine Austenit -> Martensit Umwandlung nachweist.
Fig. 8 zeigt eine temperaturabhängige Phasenanalyse mittels XRD(T)-Messung der bevorzugten Zusammensetzung Fe22Co43AI35 (Gew.-%), die eine reversible Phasenumwandlung nachweist. Hierbei zeigt sich beim Aufheizen eine Verschiebung der Peaks sowie eine Änderung der Peakform. Nach dem Abkühlen nehmen die Peaks wieder ihre ursprüngliche Form an .
Fig. 9 zeigt eine Übersichtsdarstellung einer temperaturabhängigen Phasenanalyse mittels XRD- Messungen der fünf bevorzugten Zusammensetzungen bei Raumtemperatur auf. Hierbei zeigt sich bei den Zusammensetzungen 1 - 4 die Bildung einer Heusler-Phase (FeCo2AI). Das Röntgendiffraktogramm der Zusammensetzung 5 lässt auf die Bildung einer B2-Phase (FeAl und CoAl) schließen .
Claims
1. Formgedächtnislegierung enthaltend die Zusammensetzung bestehend aus:
- 30 bis 53 Gew.-% Cobalt,
18 bis 35 Gew. -% Aluminium, sowie
22 bis 40 Gew.-% Eisen und ggf. unvermeidbare Verunreinigungen .
2. Formgedächtnislegierung nach Anspruch 1 , aufweisend eine Phasenumwandlungstemperatu As und Ms im Bereich von 0 °C bis 200 °C.
3. Formgedächtnislegierung nach Anspruch 1 , aufweisend eine Phasenumwandlungstemperatu As und Ms im Bereich von 60 °C bis 160 °C.
4. Verwendung einer Formgedächtnislegierung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche al Verbindungselement.
5. Verwendung einer Formgedächtnislegierung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche al Aktorikelement.
6. Verwendung einer Formgedächtnislegierung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche al Dämpfungselement.
