Abstract

The applicator for making up an eyebrow, according to the invention, comprises a gripping stem (9, 10, 29), said gripping stem (9, 10, 29) extending between a first end (4, 24) equipped with a tuft (5) of bristles (6) and a second end (7). The stem (9, 10, 29) forms an elbow (8, 28) separating a first stem part (9) close to said first end (4) and a second stem part (10), said first (9) and second (10) stem parts forming a non-zero angle between one another. The case according to the invention comprises at least one applicator according to the invention.

Description

APPLICATOR FOR MAKE-UP OF A SOURCIL AND MAKE-UP BOX COMPRISING SUCH A APPLICATOR

An applicator specifically designed to manually apply a makeup product to an eyebrow to draw it.

Makeup utensils specially designed for makeup eyebrows are known. There are for example helicoidal brushes designed to brush the eyebrows. Such brushes are often associated with a makeup pencil for makeup brow after brushing.

There are also brushes designed for eyebrow makeup. Such brushes usually comprise a gripping rod at the end of which is attached a tuft of bristles, designed to take a makeup product and allow its application by contact with the tuft of hair with the skin or the eyebrow. The specificity of the brush is recognized by the shape of the tuft of hair, often beveled.

The invention aims to provide an alternative to makeup brushes for the eyebrows.

It relates for this purpose an applicator for the makeup of an eyebrow, comprising a gripping rod, said gripping rod extending between a first end equipped with a tuft of bristles and a second end, characterized in that the rod forms a bend separating a first rod portion adjacent said first end and a second rod portion, said first and second rod portions forming a non-zero angle therebetween.

Thanks to the presence of the elbow, the applicator is easier to use: by allowing the applicator to be gripped by a second portion of the shank making it possible to bear on the lower part of the face for example, the user can impose a Sharp rotational movement at the end of the applicator with the tuft of hair. The makeup application gesture is then more precise and eyebrows better made up. Moreover the presence of the elbow of the applicator allows the hand of the user not to obstruct the field of vision of the user.

The applicator according to the invention may also comprise the following characteristics, taken separately or in combination:

- a lid.

The housing according to the invention may also include the following features, taken separately or in combination:

the housing comprises two applicators as described above in all their combinations and the two applicators comprise tufts of bristles of different sizes;

the makeup product pellet comprises a compacted powder; and

- The makeup product pellet comprises a cast product.

In the following description, the terms "lower", "upper", "high", "low" etc. are used with reference to the drawings for greater ease of understanding. They should not be understood as limitations of the scope of the invention.

In addition, the references designating the same elements will be retained from one figure to another and from one embodiment to another, to facilitate the reading of the figures. Figures 1 to 5 relate to a first embodiment of an applicator 1 and a housing 2 according to the invention.

The applicator 1 alone is illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4.

The housing 2 is shown in FIGS. 1 and 5.

Applicator 1 is designed for eyebrow makeup. It comprises a gripping rod 3, by which the user grasps the applicator and manipulates it to apply makeup to her eyebrow.

The rod 3 of the applicator 1 has two ends, among which a first end 4 which is equipped with a tuft 5 of bristles 6. The other end of the rod 3 is a free end 7 in the context of the illustrated example. in Figures 1 to 5.

As can be seen in the figures, the rod 3 forms a bend 8 which separates a first rod portion 9 adjacent to the first end 4 and a second rod portion 10, adjacent to the free end 7 (or second end 7 ).

In other words, the rod 3 comprises:

a first shaft portion 9 extending between the elbow 8 and the first end 4 carrying the tuft 5 of bristles 6,

- the elbow 8,

- and a second rod portion 10 which extends between the elbow 8 and the second end 7.

Figures 3 and 4 illustrate the standing applicator, with the tuft 5 of bristles 6 facing upwards.

The first shank portion 9 and the second shank portion 10 form a non-zero angle between them. In the context of the illustrated embodiment, they form between them an angle substantially of 90 °.

According to the invention, the angle between the first rod portion 9 and the second rod portion 10 is between 70 and 110 °.

The angle of 90 ° here makes it possible to perform a gesture of comfortable application for the user. Figures 18 and 19 show such a gesture: by grasping the rod 3 of the applicator by the second rod portion 10, and by pressing (with the hand M holding the rod) on the lower part of the cheek J, l The user may apply makeup to his eyebrow S with the tuft 5 of bristles 6 without having to raise the elbow, or by making a restricted movement of the arm. Gesture application is therefore less tiring than a classical gesture. It is also more accurate because the user supports to make the gesture of makeup.

For a good positioning of the tuft 5 of bristles 6 and comfort of use, it is expected that the first portion of shank 9 has a first shank length of substantially 20 mm so that the elbow 8 of the shank can be placed, by example, in front of the frame of a pair of glasses. It is clear, in the context of such an example, that the glasses should not obscure the eyebrows. In addition, the length of the first bend portion must not exceed 30 mm for the makeup application gesture remains accurate. A minimum length of substantially 10 mm should be considered as a lower limit not to exceed for the application gesture remains fluid.

In parallel, it is expected that the second rod portion 10 has a length of between substantially 50 and 100 mm. In the context of the present example, a length of the second portion of the rod is provided of substantially 70 mm to allow, on the one hand, an easy application gesture, and on the other hand to allow the applicator to be stored in the housing makeup 2 having a standard size (see later).

In the context of this first embodiment, the second part of the rod

10 is straight, that is to say that the rod follows a straight line between the elbow 8 and the end 7. It should be understood that the straight character of the rod is only an example and that the rod could also be slightly curved without departing from the scope of the invention.

In the context of the example shown, the rod 9 has, in the vicinity of the bend 8, a circular section.

To guide the user in how to grasp the second part of the rod

10, the second rod portion 10 has a flattened portion 1 1 in the vicinity of the second end 7.

The flattened portion 11 is substantially parallel to the plane defined by the bend 8 so that when the flattened portion 11 is grasped between the index finger and the thumb of the user placed in front of its face, the tuft 5 of bristles 6 is oriented substantially perpendicular to the face (see Figures 18 and 19). The tuft 5 of bristles 6 is thus facing the eyebrows, perpendicular to the brow bone. This way of grasping the applicator induces a good gesture application of a makeup product with the tuft 5 of bristles 6 of the applicator.

The tuft 5 of bristles 6 facing the skin, it is important that the contact between the end of the bristles 6 of the tuft 5 and the brow bone is soft so as not to scratch the skin and allow a comfortable application.

To do this, very fine hairs are provided to achieve the tuft 5: the bristles have a diameter between substantially 3 and 10 mils. It is also expected that the tuft 5 of bristles 6 has at its end a rounded shape. A grind size not only provides such a tuft tip shape 6, but also blurs the bristles so that they are soft on application.

A tuft of bristles is provided which comprises between 100 and 2000 hairs, for example between 200 and 1000 hairs. It will be understood by "number of hairs" the number of free ends that are counted on the tuft of hair after manufacture of the tuft: Indeed, the hairs can come from a set of bristles folded in two and stapled to the stem at the fold (in such a case, the number of hairs in the set is half less than the number of hairs of the final tuft).

The length of the tuft 5 of bristles 6 is between substantially 5 and 8 mm. This length is chosen according to the diameter of the section of the tuft 5 of bristles 6: this section may be between 2 and 5 mm.

The makeup case 2 shown in FIGS. 1 and 5 comprises two applicators having a similar stem 3, but tufts 5 of bristles 6 of different sizes, to propose to the user of the case two sizes of applicators. These two applicators can have different applications: the applicator having the smallest tuft 5 of bristles 6 can be used to create the line of the eyebrow, while the other can be used to expand the eyebrow.

The makeup case 2 also comprises two tablets 12 of make-up products, which may have different shades and / or different textures (compacted powder, cast product, etc.).

The two pellets 12 and the two applicators 1 are received in housings 13 and 14, respectively, formed in a receptacle 15 (see FIG. figure 1 ). Housings 1 3 and 14 have complementary shapes to those of makeup lozenges and applicators 1.

In this embodiment, the housings 1-3 of the makeup product pellets are provided substantially in the center of the housing receptacle. The housings 14 for the applicators 1 are provided around the housings 1 3, so as to place the applicators head to tail, with the ends 4 having a tuft 5 of bristles oriented towards the inside of the receptacle 1 5.

As is known per se, the makeup case also includes a cover 16 openable and closed (for example, it can be retained at the receptacle 1 5 by a hinge). The lid 1 6 may comprise an internal mirror 1 7.

Figures 6 to 9 illustrate a second embodiment of an applicator 1 and a case 2 makeup.

The applicator 1 has the same characteristics as those of the applicator illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 5. The only difference with the applicator 1 of FIGS. 1 to 5 is that the applicator 1 of FIGS. 6 to 9 comprises a second part. rod 10 which is curved between the bend 8 and the free end 7.

The curved shape of the second rod portion 1 0 allows a slightly different arrangement of the applicators 1 and makeup pellets 1 2 in the receptacle 15 of the makeup case 1.

Figure 9 shows such a provision:

The two pellets 1 2 and the two applicators 1 are received in housings 1 3 and 14, respectively, formed in a receptacle 1 5. The housings 1 3 and 14 have complementary shapes to those of the makeup tablets and applicators 1.

The applicators 1 are arranged head to tail in the center of the receptacle 15 of the housing 2, with their tuft 5 of bristles 6 oriented towards the outside of the receptacle. The curved shape of the second rod portion 1 0 defines a substantially triangular space between the first rod portion 9, the second rod portion 1 0 and the edges 1 8 of the receptacle 1 5.

It is in each of these spaces of substantially triangular shape that is positioned a tablet of makeup product. It is understood from the foregoing that it may be useful for the user to have several applicators with different sizes of tufts of hair.

An alternative embodiment of the applicator according to the invention makes it possible to propose several tufts of bristles of different sizes on one and the same applicator.

FIGS. 10 to 13 and 14 to 17 illustrate two other embodiments of an applicator 20 according to the invention, each of the applicators comprising two tufts of bristles. In the context of these exemplary embodiments, the two tufts 5 of bristles 6 of the same applicator 20 are of different sizes.

FIGS. 10 to 13 illustrate an applicator 20 comprising a U-shaped gripping rod 21 comprising:

a first bend 8 separating a first rod portion 9 from a second rod portion 10, and

a second elbow 28 separating a third shank portion 29 from the second shank portion 10.

The first and third shank portions 9 and 29 are parallel to one another, the elbows 8 and 28 orienting the contiguous shank portions to an angle of substantially 90 °. Thus, the applicator 20 illustrated in FIGS. 10 to 13 has an overall U shape.

The first and third shaft portions 9 and 29 are equipped, at their respective ends 4 and 24, with a tuft 5 of bristles 6, forming applicator heads.

Note that the tuft 5 of bristles 6 of the end 4 is larger in size than the tuft 5 of bristles 6 of the end 24. Thus, with a single applicator, the user has two application heads. different sizes.

The applicator 20 could also include two tufts of bristles 6 of the same size to, for example, reserve each tuft 5 of bristles 6 for the application of a product of a particular color.

Figure 13 shows a housing 2 according to the invention which comprises an applicator 20 with two tufts 5 of bristles 6 of the same size, and two tablets 12 of makeup product, the two pellets may be of different colors and / or textures different. The two pellets 12 and the applicator 20 are received in housings 13 and 14, respectively, formed in the receptacle 15. The housings 13 and 14 have complementary shapes to those of the makeup tablets and the applicator 20.

The two makeup product pellets are arranged next to each other, and the applicator 20 is positioned in the receptacle 15 above the pellets, so that the first and third shaft portions 9 and 29 are disposed on either side of the pellets 12 and the second rod portion 10 is disposed above the two pellets 12 of makeup products.

Figures 14 to 17 show yet another embodiment of an applicator 20 with two application heads (two tufts 5 of bristles 6).

In the context of this example, the applicator 20 has a generally T-shaped grip rod 30: the grip rod 30 has a second rod portion 10 having a first free end 7 and an end 31 opposite to the end 7, having two elbows 8 and 28 back to back, starting in opposite directions.

The two elbows 8 and 28 separate, respectively, a first rod portion 9 and the second rod portion 10, on the one hand and a third rod portion 29 and the second rod portion, on the other hand.

The first and third shank portions 9 and 29 are oriented in the same direction but in opposite directions.

Note that the tuft 5 of bristles 6 of the end 4 is smaller in size than the tuft 5 of bristles 6 of the end 24. Thus, with a single applicator, the user has two applicator heads. different sizes.

The applicator 20 could also comprise two tufts 5 of bristles 6 of the same size for, for example, reserving each tuft 5 of bristles 6 for the application of a product of a particular color, as in the context of the example previous.

Figure 17 shows a housing 2 according to the invention which comprises an applicator 20 with two tufts 5 of bristles 6 of the same size, and two tablets 12 of makeup product, the two pellets may be of different colors and / or different textures. The two pellets 12 and the applicator 20 are received in housings 13 and 14, respectively, formed in the receptacle 15. The housings 13 and 14 have shapes complementary to those of the makeup tablets and the applicator 20.

The two tablets 12 of makeup product are disposed on either side of the second rod portion of the applicator 20, the latter being positioned with the second rod portion 10 substantially in the center of the receptacle 15, so that the first and third shank portions 9 and 29 are arranged to the right of the pellets 12 in FIG. 17.

It is understood from the above description how the invention makes it possible to make up an eyebrow with a new applicator, which can be easily stored in a makeup case.

However, it should be understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and extends to the implementation of any equivalent means.

For example, the applicator could have more than two tufts of bristles (or application head), or the applicator could have several stem parts equipped at their free end with a tuft of bristles and parts of the bristles. rod could be made differently from the embodiments presented above: the first and third rod parts could have different sizes for example.

Claims
