Under this assumption, score means may be analyzed for the PROC MIXED ANOVA analysis. Lesion scores range from 0 to 4 as described by Johnson and Reid (1970). Tests of random and fixed effects were performed. The differences of means were calculated to determine any significant differences between lesion scores among treatment groups. The data was determined to have a Poisson distribution and a Tukey Kramer test was used to determine whether there were any statistically significant differences between treatment groups.
