Definitions
- the present invention relates to a granule formation method and a wastewater treatment method.
- an activated sludge method utilizing an aggregate of microorganisms (aerobic biological sludge) called floc has been used for biological wastewater treatment of organic matter-containing wastewater containing organic matter and the like.
- floc an aggregate of microorganisms
- the surface area of the sedimentation basin may have to be very large due to the slow sedimentation speed of the floc.
- the treatment rate of the activated sludge method depends on the sludge concentration in the biological treatment tank, and the treatment rate can be increased by increasing the sludge concentration, but the sludge concentration ranges from 1500 to 5000 mg / L or If it is further increased, solid-liquid separation becomes difficult due to bulking or the like in the sedimentation basin, and the treatment may not be maintained.
- anaerobic biological treatment it is common to use aggregates (anaerobic biological sludge) in which microbes called granules are gathered densely and become granular. Granules have a very fast sedimentation rate, and microorganisms gather densely. Therefore, the sludge concentration in the biological treatment tank can be increased, and high-speed wastewater treatment can be realized.
- anaerobic biological treatment has problems such as the limited number of wastewater to be treated compared to aerobic treatment (activated sludge method) and the need to maintain the treated water temperature at about 30 to 35 ° C. May have.
- an aerobic treatment such as an activated sludge method when discharged into a river or the like.
- the satiety state (the state where the organic matter concentration in the tank is high) / starvation state (the organic matter in the tank) due to the organic substance concentration gradient in the tank
- the formation of a low concentration state is an important factor.
- the organic matter concentration in the wastewater is low such as sewage (for example, when the BOD is about 50 to 200 mg / L)
- the organic matter is processed in a short time in the biological treatment process. Therefore, it becomes difficult to form a satiety state. As a result, it may be difficult to form granules having good sedimentation properties.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a granule forming method capable of forming a granule having a good sedimentation property in a granule forming method using a semi-batch type reaction tank.
- the present invention includes an inflow process for introducing an organic matter-containing wastewater, a biological treatment process for biologically treating a target substance in the organic matter-containing wastewater with microbial sludge, and a sedimentation process for causing the microbial sludge to settle.
- the cycle includes a first operation cycle in which the biological treatment process is performed with a first sludge load, and a second operation cycle in which the biological treatment process is performed with a second sludge load after the first operation cycle.
- the second sludge load is a granule that is a sludge load that is set such that the soluble BOD concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank at the end of the biological treatment process of the second operation cycle is equal to or less than a threshold value. It is the formation method.
- the first sludge load / the second sludge load is preferably twice or more.
- the second sludge load is ammonia nitrogen in the semi-batch reaction tank at the end of the biological treatment process of the second operation cycle. It is preferable to set the concentration to be 1 mgN / L or less.
- the biologically treated water discharge port of the semi-batch reaction tank is provided above the drainage inlet, and the organic matter It is preferable that the biologically treated water is discharged from the treated water discharge port by causing the contained wastewater to flow into the semi-batch reaction tank from the drainage inlet.
- the present invention is a wastewater treatment method using a continuous biological treatment tank for biologically treating the wastewater with biological sludge while allowing organic matter-containing wastewater to continuously flow, wherein (1) to (4) It is the waste water treatment method which supplies the granule formed by the granule formation method as described in any one of these to the said continuous type biological treatment tank.
- 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a wastewater treatment apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention. It is a figure which shows the daily change of SVI5 and SVI30 in Comparative Examples 1 and 2 and an Example.
- the granule forming apparatus 1 includes a semi-batch type reaction tank 10.
- the drainage supply pipe 22 is connected to the drainage inlet of the semi-batch reaction tank 10 via the drainage inflow pump 12.
- a biologically treated water pipe 24 is connected to the biologically treated water discharge port 16 of the semi-batch reaction tank 10 via a biologically treated water discharge valve 18.
- An aeration device 26 connected to the aeration pump 14 is installed in the lower part of the semi-batch reaction tank 10.
- the drainage inflow pump 12, the biologically treated water discharge valve 18, and the aeration pump 14 are electrically connected to the control device 20, respectively, and the control device 20 controls operation / stop of the pump, opening / closing of the valve, and the like. .
- the granule forming apparatus 1 is operated in the following operation cycle, for example.
- the drainage inflow pump 12 is activated, and a predetermined amount of organic matter-containing wastewater is introduced into the semi-batch reaction tank 10 through the drainage supply pipe 22.
- ⁇ (2) Biological treatment process While the drainage inflow pump 12 is stopped, an oxygen-containing gas such as air is supplied from the aeration pump 14 to the semi-batch reaction tank 10, and the substance to be treated in the organic matter-containing wastewater is microbial sludge in the semi-batch reaction tank 10.
- the biological reaction is not limited to an aerobic reaction, and supply of air or the like is not performed.
- An aerobic reaction can be performed by stirring, or an aerobic reaction and an anaerobic reaction may be combined.
- An oxygen-free state means a state in which dissolved oxygen does not exist, but nitrous acid, oxygen derived from nitric acid, and the like exist. For example, as shown in FIG.
- a stirring device constituted by a motor 28, a stirring blade 30, a shaft connecting the motor 28 and the stirring blade 30, etc. is installed in the semi-batch reaction tank 10, and the aeration pump 14 is installed. What is necessary is just to stop and to stir with a stirring apparatus.
- the stirring device is not limited to the above configuration.
- the aeration pump 14 is stopped, for example, by the control device 20 (the stirring device is also stopped in the granule forming device 1 in FIG. 2).
- granules which are aggregates in which microorganisms gather densely and become granular, are formed.
- the operation and stop of the drainage inflow pump 12, the aeration pump 14, and the agitator motor 28, and the opening and closing of the biological treatment water discharge valve 18 may be controlled by the control device 20 or may be performed by an operator or the like. Good.
- the biological treatment process of this embodiment has the case where a biological treatment process is performed with a 1st sludge load, and the case where a biological treatment process is performed with a 2nd sludge load. That is, in the present embodiment, the first operation cycle having the inflow process, the biological treatment process for biological treatment with the first sludge load, the sedimentation process, and the discharge process, and the biological process with the inflow process and the second sludge load after the first operation cycle. And a second operation cycle having a biological treatment process, a sedimentation process, and a discharge process.
- the first sludge load is a sludge load in which the soluble BOD concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process does not decrease below a threshold value, or ammonia in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process.
- the sludge load is such that the nitrogen concentration does not decrease below the threshold value.
- the second sludge load is a sludge load in which the soluble BOD concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process is equal to or less than a threshold value, or the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process.
- the sludge load is such that the ammonia nitrogen concentration is below the threshold.
- the threshold value is set as the organic substance concentration (soluble BOD concentration) at which the microorganism activity decreases when the organic substance concentration (soluble BOD concentration) that feeds on microorganisms decreases and becomes starved. That is, the region above the threshold is in a satiety state with a high soluble BOD concentration, and the region below the threshold is in a starvation state with a low soluble BOD concentration.
- the threshold value for the first sludge load and the threshold value for the second sludge load may be the same, but separate threshold values (threshold value for the first sludge load> second sludge are provided in order to sufficiently secure the satiety state and the starvation state. Load threshold).
- FIG. 3A is a diagram illustrating an example of a change over time in the soluble BOD concentration in the tank when the first operation cycle and the second operation cycle are performed
- FIG. 3B is a tank when the conventional operation cycle is performed. It is a figure which shows the time-dependent change of the soluble BOD density
- the soluble BOD concentration in the tank rises due to the inflow of waste water. Thereby, it becomes a satiety state with high soluble BOD density
- the biological treatment process lowers the soluble BOD concentration in the tank, but the biological treatment is performed with the first sludge load described above, so the solubility in the tank at the end of the biological treatment process.
- the BOD concentration does not decrease to the threshold value, and the satiety state is maintained.
- finish of a 1st operation cycle at the time of the start of a 2nd operation cycle, the soluble BOD density
- the soluble BOD concentration in the tank at the end of the biological treatment step is equal to or lower than the threshold value, and the soluble BOD concentration is in a starved state.
- the satiety state / starvation state is repeated, and granules with good sedimentation are formed.
- the organic matter concentration in the wastewater is low, it becomes easy to ensure a sufficient satiety state by the above operation cycle, so that it is possible to form granules with good sedimentation.
- the conventional operation cycle as shown in FIG.
- the second operation cycle may be performed after the first operation cycle is repeated a plurality of times. Further, after the first operation cycle, the second operation cycle may be repeated a plurality of times. Further, after the first operation cycle is repeated a plurality of times, the second operation cycle may be repeated a plurality of times. Furthermore, between the first operating cycle and the second operating cycle, an operating cycle in which the sludge load is lower than the first operating cycle and higher than the second cycle can be sandwiched.
- the change in the soluble BOD concentration in the tank has been described as an example. However, in biological treatment, ammonia nitrogen is also treated along with organic matter treatment, so the soluble BOD concentration is changed to the ammonia nitrogen concentration. It may be replaced.
- the first sludge load / second sludge load is preferably set to be twice or more, and more preferably set to be three times or more. In this way, by increasing the difference between the first sludge load and the second sludge load, it becomes possible to secure a satiety state for a longer time or to secure a longer time for a starvation state.
- the first sludge load in the first operation cycle is preferably a sludge load in which the soluble BOD concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process does not decrease to 5 mg / L or less, and to 10 mg / L or less. It is more preferable that the sludge load does not decrease, and it is more preferable that the sludge load does not decrease to 25 mg / L or less.
- the first sludge load in the first operation cycle is preferably a sludge load in which the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process does not decrease to 5 mgN / L or less.
- the sludge load does not decrease to the following, and it is more preferable that the sludge load does not decrease to 25 mgN / L or less. Thereby, it becomes possible to ensure a satiety state for a longer time.
- the first sludge load in the first operation cycle depends on the type of organic matter in the wastewater, but is preferably in the range of 0.4 to 2.0 kgBOD / kgMLSS / day, for example, 0.6 to 1.5 kgBOD / kgMLSS / The range of day is more preferable. If it is out of the above range, it may be difficult to ensure a sufficient satiety time.
- the second sludge load in the second operation cycle is preferably a sludge load in which the soluble BOD concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process is 5 mg / L or less, and is 1 mg / L or less.
- the sludge load is more preferable, and the sludge load is more preferably 0.5 mg / L or less.
- the second sludge load in the second operation cycle is preferably a sludge load in which the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 at the end of the biological treatment process is 5 mg N / L or less, and 1 mg N / L or less.
- the sludge load is more preferable, and the sludge load is more preferably 0.5 mgN / L or less. Thereby, it becomes possible to secure a starvation state for a longer time.
- the second sludge load in the second operation cycle depends on the type of organic matter in the wastewater, but is preferably in the range of 0.02 to 0.3 kgBOD / kgMLSS / day, for example, 0.05 to 0.2 kgBOD / kgMLSS / The range of day is more preferable. If it is out of the above range, it may be difficult to ensure sufficient time for starvation.
- the setting of the first sludge load and the second sludge load is performed, for example, by adjusting the time of the biological treatment process. For example, if the time during which the soluble BOD concentration in the tank is reduced to the threshold is measured in a preliminary experiment or when starting up the apparatus, and if a time shorter than that time is set as the time of the biological treatment process, If the sludge load becomes the first sludge load and a time longer than that time is set as the time of the biological treatment process, the sludge load at that time becomes the second sludge load.
- the soluble BOD concentration in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 is determined by measuring the filtrate by the method shown in JIS K0102 after filtration.
- the sludge load (kgBOD / kgMLSS / day) includes the BOD amount (kgBOD / day) supplied to the semi-batch reaction tank 10 and the MLSS amount (kgMLSS) in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 per day. It is requested from.
- the dissolved oxygen (DO) in the semi-batch reactor 10 is preferably 0.5 mg / L or more, particularly 1 mg / L or more under aerobic conditions.
- the organic matter-containing wastewater in the semi-batch reaction tank 10 or the organic matter-containing wastewater before being introduced into the semi-batch reaction tank 10 is added to Fe 2+ , Fe 3+ , Ca 2+ , It is preferable to add ions that form hydroxides, including Mg 2+ and the like. Normal organic wastewater contains fine particles that become the nucleus of the granule, but the addition of the ions makes it possible to further promote the nucleation of the granule.
- Organic substance-containing wastewater to be treated by the granule forming method according to the present embodiment is organic containing biodegradable organic matter such as food processing factory wastewater, chemical factory wastewater, semiconductor factory wastewater, machine factory wastewater, sewage, and human waste. It is drainage.

- the granule formation method according to the present embodiment is intended for various BOD components, the oil and fat content may adhere to sludge and granules and adversely affect them, so that the semi-batch type reaction tank 10 is used. It is preferable to remove in advance to, for example, about 150 mg / L or less by an existing method such as levitation separation, coagulation pressure levitation, and adsorption.
- the BOD concentration in the organic matter-containing wastewater to be treated is not particularly limited, but with the granule formation method according to the present embodiment, a low concentration of 50 to 200 mg / L, which makes it difficult to form granules. However, it is possible to form granules with good sedimentation.

Abstract
Description

図4に示す半回分式反応槽(反応槽有効容積:1.4m3(縦683mm×横683mm×高さ3000mm))を用いて下記の試験を行った。

次に、汚泥のMLSS(mg/L)を測定する。
