Definitions
- the invention relates to an antenna arrangement, which has a carrier on which at least one antenna element is arranged, and a printed circuit board, connecting means being provided which electrically connect the at least one antenna element to a contact region of the printed circuit board, according to the features of the preamble of the patent claim 1.
- an antenna arrangement in the form of a roof antenna arrangement, which has an antenna hood as a carrier, wherein a rod antenna is arranged on the antenna hood as an antenna element.
- the foot of the rod antenna is screwed with a threaded piece in a corresponding mating thread in the antenna hood, wherein an electrical contacting of the rod antenna via electrical connection means with electronic elements takes place under the antenna cover.
- the electrical connection via these connecting means is satisfactory, but the assembly is unsatisfactory, since it requires a lot of effort. So the threads must be provided so that the rod antenna can be screwed into the mating thread.
- the mating thread in turn must be continued via connecting means and contacted at the corresponding point below the antenna hood.
- the object of the invention is to improve an antenna arrangement, in particular a roof antenna arrangement, in comparison to the known state of the art, in particular with regard to its ease of assembly.
- the connecting means are designed as an electrically conductive connecting foil having a contact surface, wherein the contact surface of the connecting foil rests against the contact region of the printed circuit board when the carrier is intended to be connected to the printed circuit board.
- a connecting foil has the precedence that there are great freedoms with regard to the laying of the connecting foil; in particular, the connecting foil can be moved freely from its contact area to the antenna element or can adapt to the shaping of the carrier.
- such a connecting foil may, for example, be clipped, latched, glued or the like to the carrier as it follows its contours.
- a further significant advantage according to the invention can be seen in the fact that the connecting foil, which produces the electrical connection between the antenna element and its contact region, can be arranged on the carrier such that a contacting between the contact region of the connecting foil and a contact surface of the PCB occurs when the carrier is properly assembled with the circuit board and permanently connected. This means that contacting automatically takes place automatically when the carrier and circuit board are connected together. As a result, not only the assembly effort is significantly reduced, but also increases the reliability of contact because no parts can be forgotten if they have already been arranged preparatory to the circuit board and to the carrier.
- the connecting foil is arranged with its contact surface on the carrier and the contact surface of the connecting foil is connected in electrical operative connection with the contact region of the circuit board, when the carrier is intended to be connected to the circuit board
- a counter-holder which causes the contact surface of the connecting foil under bias on the contact region of the printed circuit board, when the carrier is intended to be connected to the circuit board.
- the counter-holder is formed as a rib formed by the carrier.
- the counterholder it is conceivable for the counterholder to be a separate component which causes the contact surface of the connecting foil to be pressed onto the contact region of the printed circuit board.
- a counter-holder made of an elastically deformable material comes into consideration, as well as a spring element or the like.
- the formation of the counter-holder is a rib formed by the carrier.
- Such a rib can already be provided with the production of the carrier, thereby reducing the Teiievielfalt and ease of assembly is further increased.
- This rib in particular the freestanding end region of the rib, is connected to the contact area of the rib
- At least one approximately parallel to the rib in addition to the region from which exits the rib from the carrier, at least one approximately parallel to the rib, preferably running exactly parallel slot in the carrier. While it is conceivable, on the one hand, that the rib (generally the anvil) exits directly from the surface of the carrier, in this variant with the at least one slot there is the advantage that the rib is somewhat yielding with respect to the carrier, if carrier and PCB are brought together as intended. By means of this at least one slot, therefore, it is possible to realize the prestressing when the contact region of the connecting foil comes into contact with the contact region of the printed circuit board by means of the rib and is pressed against it.
- the connecting foil with its contact surface is arranged at least partially around at least a partial region of the counter-holder, in particular around the free end region of the rib.
- the contact surface of the connecting foil for forming an electrical contact on the rib (generally on the anvil) is determined and at the same time a kind of pin-shaped or lance-shaped contact is formed, which forms a corresponding contact surface of the connecting foil to the contact region of the printed circuit board.
- the connecting foil in this way of arranging the connecting foil around the counterpart, in particular around the rib, the connecting foil can be prepared on the carrier so that this contact face can come into operative contact
- the carrier is intended to be fixed to the circuit board. This can be done in particular by a gluing process.
- continuous contactors are provided at the foot of the rib in the carrier.
- the rib is on the one hand sufficiently firmly arranged on the support and on the other hand, a required flexibility (compliance) is given to bring the contact surface of the connecting foil under pretension on the contact region of the circuit board to the plant when the carrier is intended with the circuit board connected is.
- the connecting foil and the antenna element are integrally formed.
- the connecting foil thus in turn forms a carrier, for example of an electrically non-conductive material, this carrier being provided with electrically conductive surfaces, structures or the like.
- These electrically conductive surfaces, structures or the like form the antenna element at one end of, for example, an elongated connecting foil and the contact surface at the end remote therefrom.
- an electrically conductive connection is provided on this carrier, so that one-piece this element is given. It can thus be manufactured separately from the other components of the antenna arrangement and tuned to this. In addition, it can already get a shape that corresponds to the contours of the later installation site.
- this one-piece element which comprises antenna element, connecting line and contact surface
- the pre-assembly is carried out in a suitable manner on the surfaces of the carrier and the counter-holder (or the rib), so that after this assembly, a finished carrier with antenna element and contact surface for contacting the circuit board is available.
- connecting foil and / or the antenna element are firmly connected to the carrier.
- a definition of connecting foil and / or antenna element including the contact region of the connecting foil takes place either partially in the required areas (for example in the region of the contact surface of the connecting foil and in the region of the antenna element, the intermediate region being free and not having a firm connection to the carrier) or completely.
- the counter-holder in particular the rib, is rounded off, at least in some areas. These subregions are the longitudinal and / or transverse edges, for example, in elongated counter-holders.
- the rounding has the advantage that when the connecting foil is mounted and fixed to this area, it can not be damaged by sharp edges.
- the antenna assembly is a roof antenna assembly for a vehicle, wherein the carrier is a hood of the roof antenna assembly.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show in perspective in different views an antenna assembly 1, designed here as a roof antenna arrangement.
- the antenna arrangement 1 comprises a carrier 2, which is a hood (inner hood, outer hood, design hood or the like) of the antenna arrangement 1.
- the antenna assembly 1 comprises a printed circuit board 3. On the
- the antenna element 4 is connected via an electrically conductive connecting foil 5 to a contact surface 6.
- the embodiment of the connecting film 5 will be explained in more detail with reference to Figure 8.
- a contact region 7 is provided on the surface of the circuit board 3.
- the contact region 7 is to be contacted with the contact surface 6 when the carrier 2 is intended connected to the printed circuit board 3. This is already shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- a contact region 7 on the surface of the printed circuit board 3 other variants are conceivable.
- the circuit board may be a breakthrough and be provided with electrically conductive areas of the edge region of the opening, which are then contacted with the contact surface 6 of the Vietnamesesfoiie 5, when this contact surface 6 is guided through the opening of the circuit board 3.
- the contact region 7 of the printed circuit board 3 need not be flat or rigid, but may have a three-dimensional and / or deformable geometry.
- a counter holder 8 is formed by the carrier 2, with the connecting foil around this counter holder 8
- the antenna arrangement 1 according to FIGS. 1 and 2 furthermore has a base plate 9.
- the antenna assembly 1 can be placed on a surface (for example, roof) of a vehicle and fixed there.
- the printed circuit board 3 is preferably rigidly and firmly connected to the bottom plate 9. It is alternatively conceivable that the bottom plate 9 is flexibly connected to the circuit board 3, so that between these two plates, albeit only a slight relative movement to compensate for tolerances, temperature fluctuations and the like is possible.
- the two plates 3, 9 fixed by latching connections, by caulking, Verclipsen, screwing or the like in their position to each other.
- two locking connections 10 are provided circumferentially around the lower edge region of the carrier designed as a hood.
- the latching connections 10 effect by a latching lug on the bottom plate 9 and a corresponding recess 2, that the carrier 2 is fixed to the bottom plate 9 latching.
- the circuit board 3 is fixed to the bottom plate 9, so that the contact surface 6 comes into electrical contact with the contact region 7 when the carrier 2 is properly brought to the circuit board 3 and / or the bottom plate 9.
- Figure 3 shows in isolation the carrier 2, wherein the arrangement of antenna element 4 and connecting film 5 can be seen.
- the carrier 2 at least one slot for the passage of the connecting film 5 is provided.
- the end area of the slots may be angular, round, ovai or the like.
- the connecting foil 5 and the antenna element 4 are arranged, preferably glued on the outside area.
- FIG. 4 shows the carrier 2 according to FIG. 3 from the other side, so that the arrangement of the antenna element 4 can be seen.
- the antenna element 4 may be provided on one side, on the other side or on both sides below the upper longitudinal end of the carrier 2.
- more than one antenna element 4 can be provided, wherein the respective antenna element 4 can be arranged at any, but appropriate location of the carrier 2.
- FIG. 5 shows the inner region of the support 2.
- the connecting film 5 is passed through the one slot 11 and guided with its contact surface 6 around the free end region of the rib 12.
- the end of the contact surface 6 ends in the course of the rib 12.
- the contact surface 6 it is also conceivable for the contact surface 6 to end at another location.
- FIG. 6 shows the installation situation when the carrier 2 has been brought together as intended with the printed circuit board 3. This causes the free end of the rib 12, around which the contact surface 6 of the connecting foil 5 is arranged, to be pressed onto the contact region 7 on the printed circuit board 3, so that the electrical contacting is thereby automatically produced. While a contact plane is predetermined by the surface of the printed circuit board 3 with its contact region 7, the peripheral lower edge of the carrier 2 designed as a hood and the end region of the rib 12 with the contact surface 6 lie in one plane. The two above-mentioned levels are almost in the same plane when the carrier 2 has been determined as intended on the circuit board 3.
- Figure 7 shows yet another view of the embodiment of the rib 12, one end region of which is arranged between the two slots 11.
- the rib 12 is on the one hand firmly connected to the carrier 2, but yieldably movable in a certain margin.
- the locking connection 10 has been shown and described to illustrate that by means of the locking connection 10 on the one hand, the carrier 2 (in particular the hood) and on the other hand, the circuit board 3 (which is preferably already arranged and fixed to the bottom plate 9 ) can be brought together as intended.
- the carrier 2 in particular the hood
- the circuit board 3 which is preferably already arranged and fixed to the bottom plate 9
- other connections are possible as snap-in connections and it is important that the carrier 2 is brought together with the circuit board 3 in order to simultaneously bring the contact surface 6 of the connecting film 5 into contact with the contact region 7 of the printed circuit board 3
- the arrangement of the bottom plate 9 on the printed circuit board 3 can already be done in this case or alternatively takes place thereafter.
- the circuit board 3, although guided guided on the bottom plate 9, but not yet attached. The attachment of the circuit board 3 to the bottom plate 9 can only take place when the carrier 2 is mounted as intended by means of the locking connection 10. This is therefore a kind of "sandwich" construction.
- FIG. 8 again shows the connecting foil 5, at one end of which the antenna element 4 is arranged schematically and at the other end the contact surface 6, the contact surface 6.
- the antenna element 4 may be an electrically continuous conductive surface, wherein other antenna structures (for example, filigree antenna structures) are conceivable.
- the Contact surface 6 throughout to achieve the required contact security.
- an electrical connection is likewise provided on the carrier of the connecting foil 5.
