Abstract

This invention discloses a smart home control device base on Instant Messaging(IM), which is built-in and operate on smart home appliances, consisting of 4 modules, namely IM, command conversion, voice & video and management configuration. The above mentioned device, providing a type of humanized interaction method applied on smart home appliance, consisting of 6 steps, creating IM chat group, create message, message conversion, command execution, return status message and message presentation. Through this invention, among smart home appliances and users can use means of IM chat, text, voice or video to interact, whereby improving the intelligence level of smart home. improve the control ability and interactive experience between people and smart home

Title: A smart home management device and humanized interaction method based on Instant Messaging(IM)
Technical Field
This invention is classified as messaging technology involving the integration of EVI and smart home appliances, especially in personalized network interaction by utilizing EVI communication channel and smart home appliances. Background Art
Human will enter the smart home era, in light with the development of mobile internet and Internet-of-Things(IOT), people will be able to interact with their won smart home appliance at anytime and anywhere.
The concept, methods, technology and products of smart home robot arises in recent years for the smart home appliances. They are mainly a newly added module in smart hardware or appliances; used to managing smart home appliances. Nevertheless This type of control still uses the command line interface, interaction message is very simple, And the smart feature just means to add all types of sensors to the appliances, like thermal sensor and proximity sensor.
Following the adoption of IM, it would be un-doubtfully convenient for the user if IM can be used to manage smart home appliances.
At the moment in integrating IM and smart home appliances, Tencent Holdings Limited released WeChat hardware industry solution, and the IM solution of ShenZhen(China) SoBen Skysafe Hi-Tech Develepment CO., LTD, the latter utilizing the concept of "IM client - Smart AP(Access Point) - Smart home appliances" control flow. In the 2 solutions mentioned, there is no modification to the smart home appliances, as long as it has network connection capability. Thus the control itself is still based on simple interaction and simple feedback messages, the interactive experience and management capability does not have fundamental improvement. If smart home appliances can interact like a real human, for example, using the personalized interaction with smart home robot based on IM communication channel, it will be un-doubtfully efficient, highly effective and full of imagination.
This invention discloses a type of humanized smart home network gateway and access method, which will able to combine human and smart home appliances.
By using the device of the invention built-in to smart home appliances, enables every smart home appliances to have their own respective IM user account, therefore able to interact in IM conversation and managed with users like a real person.
Not only users are able to manage smart home appliances by means of IM conversation, collaboration through IM will happen amongst smart home appliances.
This type of humanized interaction concept, method, technology, and product was not present in the past, is very creative by these measurements
Compared to the current smart home management, the device and relevant method solves the following problems:
(1) Every smart home appliance has its respective IM user account, able to have conversation like a real person, in order to have control and collaboration based on IM conversation.
Nevertheless there are other solutions that involved IM, but the IM process merely happens in between human and smart home network gateway, the smart home appliance itself stays the same, merely receiving simple commands. The current invention realizes the IM conversation capability directly on smart home appliances.
(2) Collaboration amongst smart home appliance based on IM conversation. Smart home is an ecosystem, other than the management and interaction relationship in between human and smart home appliance, there is collaboration amongst smart home appliances, for example, when smart blinds closes, smart lighting automatically switch on. The current invention provides method of IM conversation to realize the collaboration amongst the smart home appliances, while user and smart home appliances are in IM chat group, human to smart home appliances and amongst appliances will go through IM to have interactive control and collaborations.
Disclosure of Invention
The objective of this invention is to provide a humanized interactive control device and method in between human and smart home appliance, especially amongst smart home appliances.
The device and method utilizes EVI, a type of highly effective and convenient interaction method amongst human to apply on smart home appliances, giving smart home appliances the attribute of "thing" and "human", enables human and thing, amongst things to be able to link together through EVI, having humanized interaction, realizing interactive control and collaboration based on EVI channel.
This invention, a smart home control device base on EVI, are built-in and operate on the smart home appliance, features consisting:
(1) EVI module
A lightweight EVI client, supports EVI chat, voice or video method to interact with users and other smart home appliances, enables the smart home appliance to have EVI communication capability. It has external port to networking components of smart home appliance, and using network components send and receive data to realize smart home management in wired or wireless networks
The EVI module will becoming an online EVI robot user representing a smart home appliance automatically by using respective EVI user account to login to IM server, the smart home appliance uses respective EVI robot user to interact via means of EVI conversation with users and other EVI robot users representing other smart home appliances.
(2) Command conversion module
The mentioned module to convert in-between EVI and commands, recognize and analyzing EVI in EVI chat group to convert into commands for controlling smart home appliances; or convert the operational status information and execution result information from smart home appliance to EVI.
Command conversion module has external port to smart home management components, to send out commands to smart home appliance by using the management module, as well as receiving execution result information and operational status information sent by smart home appliance.
(3) Voice & video module
The mentioned module provide conversion in between EVI text and voice message, as well as playback of audio visual clips, to convert voice message received from EVI chat group to text message, or converting the EVI text to be sent to EVI chat group to EVI voice message;
The mentioned Voice & video module to provide voice and text conversion and audio visual clips playback support to EVI module and command conversion module. The module includes voice recognition components, able to recognize the user's voice input message, to support the user to manage smart home management by voice.
(4) Management configuration module
The mentioned management device includes management configuration module, to manage the mentioned device, enabling the user to use dedicated management interface to configure parameters of EVI module and command conversion module by means of graphical user interface(GUI).
The mentioned management configuration module responsible to create and binds EVI user account to EVI module, the EVI user account will represent the smart home appliance where the respective EVI module is attached. The humanized interaction method on smart home are consisting:
51 Creating EVI chat group: user adds EVI robot user and other users, create EVI chat group to manage smart home appliances.
52 message creation: according to message representation policy, a user or EVI robot user sends EVI that contains control information to one or more EVI robot users; or EVI robot automatically collects, analyze EVI conversations of other EVI robot user and users to create automatic sensing information;
53 Message conversion: the mentioned EVI module will relay EVI message to command conversion module, audio visual clips will be relayed to voice & video module to process and relayed to command conversion module, subsequently command conversion module will convert EVI to command and relay it to the management component of smart home appliance;
54 Execute command: management component of smart home appliance verifies the command, and relay the command to the functional component of smart home appliance to execute the relevant functionality;
55 Status information: functional component of smart home appliance sends the command execution result information and operating status information to the command conversion module of the mention device.
S6 message presentation: command conversion module of the mentioned device converts status information to EVI, in accordance to presentation policy to directly process or process by voice and video module, relay to the EVI module of the mentioned device and sends to the EVI chat group. Before creating EVI chat group mentioned in SI, consisting of:
(A) User goes through the management configuration module of the mentioned device to create EVI user account for every smart home appliances and binds the respective appliance;
(B) When smart home appliance access to the network, the EVI module of the mentioned device will automatically login to EVI system using the relevant EVI user account and becoming IM robot user representing smart home appliance.
(C) All users in the EVI chat group and smart home appliance will need to have EVI user client from the same EVI system.
Referring to the message presentation policy mentioned in humanized interaction method of smart home will include text, voice and video, user can configure EVI robot user to send out EVI in EVI chat group in any of the methods mentioned above.

(3) Voice & video module

Compared to FIG. l, the darkened portion is the management device of the invention, the command conversion module of the device has connecting port to management component of the relevant smart home appliance, so that command can be send to management component, and receive status information from management component.

The mentioned device is relatively independent, has clean interface relationship with the original components of smart home appliances, easy to apply the technology and commercialize, greatly improve the intelligence and manageability of smart home appliance.

S5 Status information: functional component of smart home appliance sends the command execution result information and operating status information to the command conversion module of the mention device.
S6 message presentation: command conversion module of the mentioned device converts status information to EVI, in accordance to presentation policy to directly process or process by voice and video module, relay to the EVI module of the mentioned device and sends to the EVI chat group.
Before creating EVI chat group mentioned in SI, consisting of:
(A) User goes through the management configuration module of the mentioned device to create EVI user account for every smart home appliances and binds the respective appliance;
(B) When smart home appliance access to the network, the EVI module of the mentioned device will automatically login to EVI system using the relevant EVI user account and becoming IM robot user representing smart home appliance.
(C) All users in the EVI chat group and smart home appliance will need to have EVI user client from the same EVI system.
For example, applying the technology in real life, if the management device uses EVI client from WeChat, then the user will need to use WeChat EVI client; if the device uses EVI client from MiTalk, then the user will need to use MiTalk EVI client; if the device uses EVI client from Skype, then the user will need to use Skype EVI client; Mentioned in the humanized interaction method of smart home appliance, the presentation policy includes text, voice and video, user can configure EVI robot user to send out EVI in EVI chat group in any of the methods mentioned above.
If presentation policy is configured for text, then the EVI in EVI group chat will be presented in text; if presentation policy is configured for voice, then the EVI will be presented in voice chat.
FIG.4 is the diagram of EVI group chat with user and smart home appliance with the invented device built-in.
FIG.5 is several use case on humanized interaction method in EVI chat group.
For example, A EVI chat group is formed by family member User A, User B, User C and smart home appliances that have the device in this invention built-in, namely: smart air-conditioner, smart lighting, smart security surveillance, smart blind and smart television. According to the device and humanized interaction method, for this EVI chat group, the following interaction method is possible:
(1) Any user can send IM message that contains control information to any smart home appliance(EVI robot) to manage smart home appliance, interaction details are as indicated at FIG.5 (A);
(2) Any smart home appliance(EVI robot) can relay EVI message that contains control information to any smart home appliance(EVI robot) to collaborate with itself, interaction details are as indicated at FIG.5 (B);
(3) Any smart home appliance(EVI robot) can collect, analyze, and understand EVI messages in the EVI chat group, creating self-adjusting maneuvers, displaying the intelligent characteristic of smart home appliance, interaction details are as indicated at FIG.5 (C);

Claims

CLAIMS:
1. A smart home management device base on IM, which is built-in and operate on smart home appliances, consisting of: IM module, as a lightweight IM client, supports IM chat, voice or video method to interact with users and other smart home appliances, enables the smart home appliance to have IM communication capability.
Command conversion module, to convert in-between IM and commands, recognize and analyzing IM in IM chat group to convert into commands for controlling smart home appliances; or convert the operational status information and execution result information from smart home appliance to IM.
Voice & video module: conversion in between IM text and voice message, as well as playback of audio visual clips, to convert voice message received from IM chat group to text message, or converting the IM text to be sent to IM chat group to IM voice message;
The mentioned Voice & video module to provide voice and text conversion and audio visual clips playback support to IM module and command conversion module.
2. Referring to the "smart home management device" mentioned in claim 1, the features consisting of:
The IM module will becoming an online IM robot user representing a smart home appliance automatically by using respective IM user account to login to IM server, the smart home appliance uses respective IM robot user to interact via means of IM conversation with users and other IM robot users representing other smart home appliances.

Referring to the "smart home management device" mentioned in claim 1, the features consisting of: the mentioned IM module has external port to networking components of smart home appliance, and using network components send and receive data to realize smart home management in wired or wireless networks

Referring to the "smart home management device" mentioned in claim 1, the features consisting of: the mentioned command conversion module has external port to smart home management components, to send out commands to smart home appliance by using the management module, as well as receiving execution result information and operational status information sent by smart home appliance.
5. Referring to the "smart home management device" mentioned in claim 1, the features consisting of: the voice & video module includes voice recognition module, to recognize voice input message from user, to support user to manage smart home appliance by means of voice.

Referring to the "smart home management device" mentioned in claim 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, the features consisting of: the mentioned management device includes management configuration module, to manage the mentioned device, enabling the user to use dedicated management interface to configure parameters of IM module and command conversion module by means of graphical user interface(GUI).

Referring to the "smart home management device" mentioned in claim 6, the features consisting of: the mentioned management configuration module responsible to create and binds IM user account to IM module, the IM user account will represent the smart home appliance where the respective IM module is attached.
8. A type of humanized interaction method used in smart home, are consisting:
S I Creating IM chat group: user adds IM robot user and other users, create IM chat group to manage smart home appliances.
52 message creation: according to message representation policy, a user or IM robot user sends IM that contains control information to one or more IM robot users; or IM robot automatically collects, analyze IM conversations of other IM robot user and users to create automatic sensing information;
53 Message conversion: the mentioned IM module will relay IM message to command conversion module, audio visual clips will be relayed to voice & video module to process and relayed to command conversion module, subsequently command conversion module will convert IM to command and relay it to the management component of smart home appliance;
54 Execute command: management component of smart home appliance verifies the command, and relay the command to the functional component of smart home appliance to execute the relevant functionality;
55 Status information: functional component of smart home appliance sends the command execution result information and operating status information to the command conversion module of the mention device.
56 command conversion module of the mentioned device converts status information to IM, in accordance to presentation policy to directly process or process by voice and video module, relay to the IM module of the mentioned device and sends to the IM chat group.
9. Referring to the "humanized interaction method" mentioned in claim 8, before creating IM chat group mentioned in S 1, consisting of:
User goes through the management configuration module of the mentioned device to create IM user account for every smart home appliance and binds the respective appliance.
When smart home appliance access to the network, the IM module of the mentioned device will automatically login to IM system using the relevant IM user account and becoming IM robot user representing smart home appliance.
All users in the IM chat group and smart home appliance will need to have IM user client from the same IM system.
10. Referring to the "humanized interaction method" mentioned in claim 8, the features consisting of: the mentioned message presentation policy includes text, voice and video, user can configure IM robot user to send out IM in IM chat group in any of the methods mentioned above.
