Abstract
Description
しかし、木製材料は、湿気を吸った状態が続くと、腐ったり、カビが生えて見栄えが悪くなったりしやすく、耐久性の点で問題がある。
そこで、木製板体によって筒状の側壁を形成するとともに、この側壁の内周面下部に溝を形成し、周縁にリブを有し、かつ下面に複数個のボスを形成した合成樹脂製板材を、この板材の周縁リブが前記側壁の溝に、前記ボスの下端面が側壁の下端面と一致するように嵌合させて形成したプランターが提案され、上市されている(特許文献1参照)。
すなわち、このプランターは、側壁が木製板材によって形成されているので、意匠性が確保されているとともに、プランターにおいて、最も長時間水に曝されやすい底が合成樹脂製板材で形成されているので、従来の底まで木材で形成されている木製プランターに比べ、底が腐りにくく、耐久性が向上する。
したがって、上記特許文献1のプランターの場合、側壁が下端まで木製材料で形成されているため、側壁の下端側が腐りやすいという問題や、かび等が発生しやすいという問題がある。
本発明において、側壁部材は、箍材などや、釘、ビスなど若干に金属部分や接着剤と%の樹脂部分があっても構わないが、概ね木材で形成されている。
また、側壁部材は、無垢の木材をくりぬいて形成しても構わないが、材料コストを低減できるとともに、強度的にも優れたものとすることができるため、木製板材を組み合わせて側壁形状にしたものが好ましい。
すなわち、側壁部材の下端にできるだけ多くの空間を設け、側壁部材の下端が極力水に浸からないようにすることができる。
また、底部本体は、メッシュ状の水抜き孔を有する盤状部と、この盤状部の上下に突出するコーン状の突起を複数備えていて、この突起の周面にスリット状の水抜き孔が形成されていることが好ましい。
すなわち、底部本体が薄肉にされても、底部本体がプランター内の用土の荷重に耐えることができる。結果として、薄肉化によって底部材の材料コストを低減できる。
スリット状の水抜き孔が形成されているので、水抜き孔によって、十分な水抜き性能を確保できるとともに、水抜き孔が通気孔としての作用も発揮し、用土内への通気性も良好なものとなる。
すなわち、プランターの耐久性を向上させることができる。しかも、側壁部材が木製であるので、意匠的にも優れ、高級感のあるものとなる。
図1~図6は本発明のプランターの1つの実施の形態をあらわし、図7~図8はこのプランターに用いられる底部材をあらわしている。
側壁部材1は、複数の木製板材11を実継ぎ、ホゾ継ぎ、接着やこれらの組み合わせによって筒状に形成されているとともに、上方から下方に向って小径化している。
下面カバー部3は、平面視でリング状をしていて、その底31に、周方向に等ピッチで上方に突出する薄板状の下端受け部32を備えている。
外壁カバー部4は、下面カバー部3の外周側で上方に立ち上がるように設けられ、側壁部材1の下端部外周面をカバーするようになっている。
また、外壁カバー部4は、図7、図8に示すように、周方向に等間隔で固定ネジ挿通孔41が穿設されている。
底部本体6は、盤状部61と、4つの第1突起62と、3つの第2突起63を備えている。
盤状部61は、多数の水抜き孔61aが穿設された網目状をしている。
また、第1突起62は、コーンの周面にスリット状の水抜き孔64が周方向に等ピッチで設けられているとともに、先端に丸孔の水抜き孔65が穿設されている。
また、第2突起62は、コーンの周面にスリット状の水抜き孔64が周方向に等ピッチで設けられている。
連結部7は、底部本体6と、下面カバー部3とを連結していて、下面カバー部3の底31に達するスリット状の水抜き孔71が周方向に等ピッチで設けられている。
また、側壁部材1の下端に、万一、カビなどが発生しても外壁カバー部4によってカバーされているので、外部からは見えず、外観を損なうことがない。
したがって、側壁部材1の下端部の水濡れによる腐りを防止することができ、耐久性に優れたものとすることができる。
また、底部本体6の中央に下方向に突出する第1突起62を設けたので、プランターAに充填された用土の荷重を中央でしっかりと受けることができる。
また、底部本体6が連結部7によって上方に浮き上がった状態となるため底部本体6の下方に空間を確保でき、水抜き性能および通気性能を向上させることができる。
さらに、連結部7に、下面カバー部3の底31に達するスリット状の水抜き孔71が設けられているので、下面カバー部3の底31に水が溜まることを防止できる。
上記の実施の形態では、側壁部材に把手が取り付けられていたが、把手はなくても構わない。
上記の実施の形態では、底部本体に4つの第1突起と、3つの第2突起が設けられていたが、第1突起と第2突起の数は、底部本体の大きさや形状に応じて適宜決定され、突起が無くても構わない。

Claims (6)
- 木製材料からなる上下開口の筒状をした側壁部材の下方開口を塞ぐように設けられ、多数の水抜き孔が設けられたプランターの底部材であって、
合成樹脂からなり、前記側壁部材の下端面を受ける下端受け部を有し、平面視リング状をした下面カバー部と、この下面カバー部に連設され、前記側壁部材の下端部の外周面を覆うように配置される外壁カバー部と、前記下面カバー部の内方に連設され、水抜き孔を有する底部を備えていることを特徴とするプランターの底部材。 - 下面カバー部は、下面カバー部の底から上方に突出し、側壁部材の下端を下面カバー部の底から浮かした状態に受ける下面受け部を周方向に間欠的に備えている請求項1に記載のプランターの底部材。
- 底部が、底部本体と、この底部本体を下面カバー部と連結し、側壁部材の下端より上側に配置するように支持する連結部を備えているとともに、少なくとも底部本体に水抜き孔が形成されている請求項1または請求項2に記載のプランターの底部材。
- 底部本体は、メッシュ状の水抜き孔を有する盤状部と、この盤状部の上下に突出するコーン状の突起を複数備えていて、この突起の周面にスリット状の水抜き孔が形成されている請求項3に記載のプランターの底部材。
- 連結部に下面カバー部の底に達するスリット状の水抜き孔が周方向に間欠的に設けられている請求項3または請求項4に記載のプランターの底部材。
- 請求項1~請求項5のいずれかに記載の底部材が、木製の筒状をした側壁部材の下端を、前記底部材の下面受け部で受け、かつ下面カバー部で下方からカバーするとともに、前記側壁部材の下端部外周面を前記底部材の外壁カバー部でカバーするように側壁部材に取り付けられていることを特徴とするプランター。
