Definitions
- the present invention relates to a fuel cell system and a fuel cell control method.
- Patent Document 1 includes a small fuel cell stack and a large fuel cell stack in order to achieve both rapid startability and high output required for the moving body. A multi-stage fuel cell stack is proposed.
- Patent Document 1 the fuel pipes of the small fuel cell stack and the large fuel cell stack are connected in series. For this reason, the reformed gas used in the entire fuel cell system is collectively supplied to the small fuel cell stack in the previous stage. As a result, a large amount of methane contained in the reformed gas during the power generation of the small fuel cell stack causes a large endothermic reaction, making it difficult to maintain the temperature of the small fuel cell stack. For this reason, it is necessary to heat the power generation air to a temperature higher than the operating temperature of the small fuel cell stack, which causes a problem that the power generation efficiency of the entire fuel cell system decreases.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell system and a fuel cell control method capable of reducing the introduction of fuel for heating power generation air and increasing the power generation efficiency. Is to provide.
- a fuel cell system reforms fuel, supplies reformed gas to a front-stage fuel cell, acquires a heat generation amount and a heat absorption amount of the front-stage fuel cell, and has a heat absorption amount from the acquired heat generation amount. If larger, at least one of the current amount of the front-stage fuel cell, the flow rate of air supplied to the reformer, and the temperature of the front-stage fuel cell is controlled.

- the heat generation amount Q 1 and the heat absorption amount Q DR of the battery 10 are predicted, and an operating point where the heat absorption amount Q DR is lower than the heat generation amount Q 1 is searched. Accordingly, it is unnecessary to heat absorption amount Q DR heats the power generating air to be below the calorific value Q 1, the fuel cell system 1 is enabled to operate at high efficiency.

- step S59 the control unit 20 predicts the endotherm Q DR of the preceding fuel cell 10.
- step S60 the control unit 20, the calorific value Q 1 is to determine whether a larger heat absorption amount Q DR. If the calorific value Q 1 is greater than the heat absorption amount Q DR (Yes in step S60), the process is the program proceeding to the step S61. On the other hand, if all the temperatures T 1 within a predetermined range are not considered (No in step S66), the process proceeds to step S75.
- step S67 the control unit 20 predicts the system efficiency ⁇ S.
- the fact that the slope d ⁇ FC / dI 1 is 0 in step S61 means that the power generation efficiency ⁇ FC is the highest as shown in FIG. Therefore, since the system efficiency ⁇ S increases, the control unit 20 predicts the system efficiency ⁇ S.
- the fact that the slope d ⁇ FC / dI 1 is 0 or less means that it is on the right side of the peak as shown in FIG. In this case, as the system efficiency eta S large amount of current I 1 N 1 decreases, system efficiency eta S is also present high region by the current amount I 1 N 1. Therefore, the control unit 20 predicts the system efficiency ⁇ S.

If the temperature T 1 is greater than temperature T ref (Yes in step S74), the process proceeds to step S75. On the other hand, if the temperature T 1 is below the temperature T ref (No in step S74), the process proceeds to step S76.
- step S75 the control unit 20, by lowering the temperature T 1 of within a predetermined range, the process returns to step S54.
- the temperature T 1 is lower, heat absorption amount Q DR is reduced. More specifically, as the temperature T 1 is lower than the temperature T ref, heat absorption amount Q DR is reduced.
- the temperature T 1 is the highest when the temperature T 1 is the same as the temperature T 2, and the temperature T 1 becomes lower as it goes below the map shown in FIG.
- the control unit 20 reduces the temperature T 1 to increase the power generation efficiency ⁇ FC with a small current amount I 1 N 1 and search for an operation condition in which the heat generation amount Q 1 exceeds the heat absorption amount Q DR. can do.
- reduced heat generation amount Q 1 as the temperature T 1 is lower, right side of the arrow is a region where the calorific value Q 1 is greater than the heat absorption amount Q DR. That is, as shown in FIG. 11, the heat generation amount Q 1 decreases as the temperature T 1 decreases, but the region where the heat generation amount Q 1 exceeds the heat absorption amount Q DR can be achieved with a small current amount I 1 N 1 .
- the controller 20 can search for an operating condition in which the calorific value Q 1 exceeds the endothermic amount Q DR with a small current amount I 1 N 1 by lowering the temperature T 1 .
- step S76 the control unit 20 sets O 2 / C, current I 1 , and temperature T 1 stored in step S69 as operating conditions.
- the fuel cell system 1 when the inclination d? FC / dI 1 of the power generation efficiency eta FC with respect to the current I 1 of the preceding fuel cell 10 is positive, by further increasing the current I 1 of the preceding fuel cell 10, power generation efficiency eta FC Search for high driving points. Thereby, the fuel cell system 1 can set a highly efficient operating point, and can be operated with high efficiency.
- the fuel cell system 1 considers the operating temperature that can be taken in the operation of the front-stage fuel cell 10 from the maximum temperature with the air flow rate supplied to the reformer 12 being zero when examining the operating conditions.
- the point at which d ⁇ FC / dI 1 becomes zero is determined to be the highest point of power generation efficiency ⁇ FC , and the operating conditions are set. Thereby, the fuel cell system 1 can set a highly efficient operating point, and can be operated with high efficiency.
- the fuel cell system 1 predicts the system efficiency ⁇ S under the operating conditions at that time because the system efficiency ⁇ S decreases even if the current I 1 is further increased.
- the fuel cell system 1 sets this operating condition. Thereby, the fuel cell system 1 can set a highly efficient operating point, and can be operated with high efficiency.
- the fuel cell system 1 increases the air flow rate supplied to the reformer 12 to increase the heat absorption amount Q DR. Reduce. By thus heat absorption amount Q DR is to search for the operating point below the calorific value Q 1, it becomes unnecessary to heat absorption amount Q DR heats the power generating air to be below the calorific value Q 1, the fuel cell system 1 Can be operated with high efficiency.
- the fuel cell system 1 lowers the temperature T 1 of the front stage fuel cell 10. This is because the system efficiency ⁇ S is higher when power is generated by only the post-stage fuel cell 11 than when the reformer 12 is supplied with air to decrease the heat absorption amount Q DR and the reforming efficiency ⁇ ref is decreased. It is.
- the fuel cell system 1, the heat absorption amount Q DR is to search for the operating point below the calorific value Q 1 by lowering the temperature T 1.
- the fuel cell system 1 does not set an operation condition for reducing the system efficiency ⁇ S in order to maintain the temperature T 1, and is an operation in which the heat absorption amount Q DR falls below the heat generation amount Q 1 by lowering the temperature T 1. Search for a point. Thereby the fuel cell system 1 can set a good operating point efficient than power generation efficiency eta FC2, it is possible to operate at high efficiency.
