先端小径部10の内径は、卵子ではなく、卵子と共に吸引される細胞・組織のサイズ等を考慮して決めるのが良い。卵子の直径は0.1mm程度、卵子の周囲には透明体と呼ばれる膜があり、最大直径は、0.15mm程度である。さらに、その周囲の細胞を含む卵子卵丘細胞複合体は、その2倍から3倍の大きさであり、0.3mm~0.45mm程度である。また卵子卵丘細胞複合体の変形許容度を10%程度とすると、卵丘細胞のサイズの多少のばらつきを考慮して、先端小径部10の内径は約0.35mm以上、好ましくは約0.4mm以上にする必要がある。
先端小径部10の卵丘細胞ひいては卵子に対する影響を速やかに除去するためには、中間部20の内径を卵丘細胞のサイズ程度にするのが良い。したがって、中間部20の内径は、約0.45mm以上、好ましくは約0.5mm以上にするのが良い。なお中間部20の外径は、内径に基づいて決定されるが、穿刺作業の操作性を考慮すると、先端小径部10の外径との差はできる限り小さい方が好ましい。実際、先端小径部10の外径との差が0.2mm程度以下ならば問題ない。
発明者らは、先端小径部10と中間部20との内径の差が急激に大きくなると、吸引時に針管内で起こる対流と、これに伴い発生する気泡により卵子が変性しやすくなることを発見した。これは、卵丘細胞の変形の急激な復元や渦流等の発生が卵胞液の流れに乱れを生じさせるためと考えられる。また、吸引作業において、最終的に卵胞自体も吸い込まれることになるので、急激な流れの変化は、卵子に透明帯の損傷などの悪影響を与え、場合によっては卵子が破壊する虞もある。
大径部30は、中間部20よりも大きな内径および外径を有し、本卵子採取針1が膣を通り抜けるのに適した長さを有していれば良い。また、第2のテーパ部23は、中間部20と大径部30とを連通させればよく、その平均勾配に対する制限はない。
上述した卵子採取針1を小卵胞61に穿刺すると、図9に示すように、その先端小径部10の傾斜尖端15は、小卵胞61内に完全に収まる。これにより小卵胞61内の卵子50を包囲する卵丘細胞51を吸引することができる。また、この卵子採取針1を主席卵胞60に穿刺する場合は、図10に示すように、先端小径部10のみが主席卵胞60内に収まる。つまり、先端小径部10は主席卵胞の直径と同程度以上の長さをもって形成されているので、主席卵胞60内の卵丘細胞51の吸引作業において、先端小径部10よりも外径の大きな中間部20や第1のテーパ部12は主席卵胞60内に挿入されず、またその必要もない。このため、卵子採取針1の操作性を阻害することなく、効率よく採取作業を行うことができる。
本実施例は、先端小径部10を22ゲージ(外径0.70mm,内径0.48mm),長さ20mm、中間部20を21ゲージ(外径0.80mm,内径0.57mm)、大径部30を18ゲージ(外径1.20mm,内径0.94mm)、第1のテーパ部12の長さ5mm,内径の平均勾配を6%、第2のテーパ部23の長さ5mm,平均勾配6%、先端小径部10の先端から中間部20の末端までの長さを110mm、先端小径部10の先端から大径部30の末端までの長さを300mmの卵子採取針1を用いて、採取実験を行った。なお、実験設備は、特許文献1図2等に示されているので、説明を割愛する(以下、同様である。)。
本実施例は、先端小径部10を23ゲージ(外径0.65mm,内径0.40mm),長さ20mm、中間部20を22ゲージ(外径0.70mm,内径0.48mm)、大径部30を18ゲージ(外径1.20mm,内径0.94mm)、第1のテーパ部12の長さ5mm,内径の平均勾配を6%、第2のテーパ部23の長さ5mm,平均勾配6%、先端小径部10の先端から中間部20の末端までの長さを110mm、先端小径部10の先端から大径部30の末端までの長さを300mmの卵子採取針1を用いて、採取実験を行った。

Claims (6)
- 人体への挿入用の前端を備える先端小径部と、
前記先端小径部と流体連通する第1のテーパ部を介して前記先端小径部と繋がり、前記先端小径部よりも大きな内径および外径を有する中間部と、
前記中間部と流体連通する第2のテーパ部を介して前記中間部と繋がり、前記中間部よりも大きな内径および外径を有する大径部と、を備える卵子採取針であって、
前記先端小径部の内径は約0.35mm以上、外径は約0.7mm以下、長さは約10mm~30mmであり、前記先端小径部の前端は約10度~約20度の傾斜角を有する傾斜尖端により形成され、
前記中間部の内径は、約0.45mm以上であり、
前記先端小径部、前記第1のテーパ部、および前記中間部を合わせた長さは約60mm~約150mmであることを特徴とする卵子採取針。 - 前記中間部の外径は約0.9mm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の卵子採取針。
- 前記第1のテーパ部の内径の平均勾配は約10%以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の卵子採取針。
- 前記先端小径部、前記第1のテーパ部、前記中間部、前記第2のテーパ部、および前記大径部を合わせた長さは約200mm~500mmであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の卵子採取針。
- 前記先端小径部の前記前端の傾斜角は、約12度~約17度であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の卵子採取針。
- 前記第1のテーパ部の前記平均勾配は、約6%であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の卵子採取針。
