Definitions
- the present invention relates to a turret tool post mounted on a machine tool, and more particularly to a turret tool post that drives a turret tool holding a plurality of tools.
- this is a multi-tasking machine that adds a mill axis and a Y axis to an NC lathe equipped with a turret with multiple tools, and moves the turret tool post in the direction perpendicular to the X axis and the X axis.
- the rotation of the turret and the movement of the turret tool post in the Z-axis direction are combined while rotating the rotary tool, where the Z axis is the axis to be rotated and the Y axis is the axis orthogonal to each of the X and Z axes.
- an annular piston that is extrapolated to the turret swivel shaft is interposed between the turret swivel shaft of the turret and the tool post body, and this piston is connected to the turret swivel shaft.
- a mechanism is adopted in which the turret turning shaft and the piston and the tool post body can be rotated relative to each other while maintaining the rotation of the rotary tool by moving in the axial direction and fixing the contact.
- the piston for switching between clamping or unclamping between the turret pivot axis and the tool post main body is formed in an annular shape to interpolate the turret pivot axis, so that the weight of the entire turret tool post increases.
- the piston needs to be in the shape of a two-stage piston in order to form a hydraulic chamber (cylinder) for moving the piston forward and backward with respect to the tool post body, and the processing becomes complicated in manufacturing. There was a problem.
- tools that can perform milling in the Y-axis direction can only be installed in two places, one in a direction parallel to the turret rotation axis and one in a direction perpendicular to the turret rotation axis. There was a problem that all milling could not be handled.
- the object of the present invention is to eliminate weight increase and machining complexity with a simple structure and to rotate the turret while rotating the selected milling tool for all mill holders attached to all surfaces of the turret. It is to provide a turret tool post capable of performing machining control in the Y-axis direction and a machine tool including the turret tool post.
- a turret tool post has a main shaft for rotating a tool, a mill housing having a mill housing connection shaft into which the main shaft is inserted, and the mill housing connection shaft inserted therein.
- the engagement mechanism has an engagement member that can be moved forward and backward from the joint base. At this time, the engaging member is displaced between a first position connected to the turret rotation shaft and a second position connected to the turret base in the joint base.
- the joint base includes a coolant block that supplies coolant to the turret, and the turret further includes a flow path for circulating coolant supplied from the coolant block.
- a plurality of cam followers radially provided on the outer peripheral surface of the turret rotation shaft at predetermined intervals; a globoidal cam that engages with the cam follower and feeds the cam follower in a rotation direction of the turret rotation shaft; And a turret turning motor for rotating the globoidal cam.
- the turret turning motor is preferably a servo motor.
- the turret tool post of the present invention can be applied to a machine tool including a work holding device that holds a work, and an NC control device that controls driving of the turret tool post and the work holding device.
- the machine tool includes a first axis in a direction in which the turret tool post and the work holding device approach and leave, and a second axis for moving the turret tool post in a direction perpendicular to the first axis.
- a third axis orthogonal to both the first axis and the second axis, and the NC control device controls the position of the turret tool post on the first axis and the turret of the turret tool post.
- the tip position of the tool on the third axis is controlled by combining the control of the rotation angle.
- the turret turning motor of the turret tool post has a function of detecting a rotation angle from the origin position of the turret.
- the turret further includes a special tool holder in which a tip of the tool is located at a position shifted by a predetermined offset angle from any one virtual center line of tool mounting positions obtained by equally dividing the turret.
- the NC control device sets the rotation angle of the turret as an angle obtained by adding the offset angle to the rotation angle of the virtual center line when machining with a tool attached to the special tool holder.
- the processing start point can be positioned.
- the NC control device has a tool data memory for storing tool data including a turret number, a tool holder identification number, and a tool tip position in the tool holder, and the tool data memory corresponds to the special tool holder.
- the NC control device further includes offset angle data, and reads the offset angle from the tool data memory when performing machining with a tool attached to the special tool holder, thereby positioning the machining start point of the tool. You may comprise so that it may perform.
- the NC control device compares a rotation angle command value for the turret with a rotation angle detection value detected by the turret turning motor, and the command value and the detection value are obtained. If they do not match, it is possible to calculate a difference value between the two and to issue a correction command for setting the difference value to zero based on the difference value.
- the NC control device is configured to stop the driving of the turret tool post and the work holding device and to display a warning when the difference value exceeds a preset allowable range. Also good.
- the turret tool post of the present invention and the machine tool equipped with the turret tool post have the above-described structure, so that the simple structure eliminates weight increase and processing complexity, and all the mill holders attached to all surfaces of the turret.
- the machining control in the Y-axis direction can be performed by turning the turret while rotating the selected milling tool.
- the tool positioning control is performed in machining by a turret (non-uniform turret or tandem uniform turret) having a special tool holder with a tool attached at a position offset from the virtual center line of the holder.
- a turret non-uniform turret or tandem uniform turret
- the control unit automatically corrects the positional deviation, Since processing can be performed while correcting misalignment to a normal position, it is possible to suppress deterioration in processing accuracy and generation of defective products.

This determination is made based on, for example, detecting and identifying the characteristic part of the turret shape with a sensor, or based on the turret number stored in the tool data memory or the identification numbers of various holders.
- step S101 If “No” is determined in step S101, it is determined that the currently attached turret is a regular turret having a normal mill holder or turning holder, and the program is terminated as it is.
- the control unit reads the offset angle ⁇ p of the tool corresponding to the type of the turret currently attached from the tool data memory (step S102).

- the offset angle ⁇ p of the tool is extracted.
- the control unit stops driving the sleeve 114 for clamping the turret turning shaft 161 shown in FIG. 4 and issues a command to release the clamping of the turret turning shaft 161 (step S103).
- the piston 180 of the engagement mechanism is moved to the second position so that the joint base 140 and the turret turning shaft 161 are connected and fixed, and the turret turning motor 164 is driven to rotate the globoidal cam 163 to thereby rotate the turret turning shaft.
- a command to rotate 161 in the direction corresponding to the offset angle ⁇ p is issued (step S104). Accordingly, the tandem uniform turret 420 shown in FIG. 13 can be turned while rotating the milling tools MT1 and MT2.
- control unit detects the rotation angle of the turret accompanying the turning of the turret turning shaft 161, and determines whether or not the integrated value of the rotation angle coincides with the offset angle ⁇ p, that is, the position to be offset by the rotation of the turret. It is determined whether or not it has been reached (step S105). If “No” is determined in step S105, it is determined that the rotation angle of the turret has not reached the offset angle ⁇ p, and the process returns to step S104.
- step S105 if “Yes” is determined in step S105, it is determined that the rotation angle of the turret has reached the offset angle ⁇ p, and the turret rotation command is stopped. Thereafter, the control unit issues a command to drive the sleeve 114, clamps the entire circumference of the turret turning shaft 161 (step S106), and ends the positioning program.

- the milling tools MT1 and MT2 are not arranged on the circumference, for example, by combining turret rotation control and movement control by the Z-axis rail as shown in FIG. Tool positioning can also be performed.
- the control unit newly stops the driving of the sleeve 114 and releases the clamp of the turret turning shaft 161.
- the tandem uniform turret 420 can be rotated while maintaining the rotation of the milling tool MT1, and the position control in the Y direction as shown in FIG. 3 can be performed.
- the X axis rail By combining the parallel movement on the Z-axis rail, the three-dimensional position control of the tool tip can be performed.
- the turret tool post and the machine tool equipped with the turret tool according to the second embodiment of the present invention not only a normal uniform turret but also a special tool holder to which a tool is attached at a position offset from the virtual center line of the holder is provided. It is possible to carry out tool positioning control in machining by a turret (non-uniform turret or tandem uniform turret). In addition, since various types of turrets can be applied, many variations in the shape and size of the tool can be provided, and as a result, the machining application of the machine tool can be expanded.
- FIG. 15 is a schematic view showing a positional deviation of a tool in a machine tool to which a turret tool post having a uniform turret 120 is applied.

- the control unit of the NC control device detects the tip position of the current tool ( Step S201).
- the current operation of detecting the tip position of the tool can be read from, for example, the rotation amount of the turret turning motor 164 for rotating the globoidal cam 163 shown in FIG. 4 or a numerical value of an encoder or the like attached to the turret turning motor.
- a sensor angle detector for detecting the representative position of the turret 120 may be provided on the turret tool post, and the tip position of the tool may be grasped from the detected value of the representative position.
- control unit determines whether or not the detected value of the tool tip position detected in step S201 matches the last commanded value (the origin position in the example of FIG. 15) (step S202). If “Yes” is determined in step S202, the control unit determines that there is no deviation between the command value and the detection value of the currently attached tool position, and ends the program as it is.
- step S202 the control unit calculates a difference value (angle ⁇ d shown in FIG. 15) between the detected value and the command value (step S203).
- the difference value is calculated by subtracting a command value (for example, the rotation angle of the origin position) from the detection value (that is, the rotation angle of the tool tip position) currently held by the control unit. At this time, the shift direction of the rotation angle can be grasped by the sign of the difference value.
- the control unit determines whether or not the absolute value of the difference value ⁇ d calculated in step S203 is within a predetermined allowable range (that is, a predetermined threshold value or less) (step S204). If “No” is determined in step S204, it is determined that the calculated difference value ⁇ d (that is, the amount of deviation of the rotation angle of the turret) is an abnormal value, for example, using a display means or alarm means (not shown). A command is issued to issue an alarm warning to the operator (step S209). Then, the operator who has confirmed the alarm warning checks the structure of the turret tool post by visual inspection or the like, and repairs or corrects it as necessary.
- a predetermined allowable range that is, a predetermined threshold value or less
- step S204 determines that the shift of the rotation angle can be automatically corrected, and drives the sleeve 114 that clamps the turret turning shaft 161 shown in FIG. Is stopped and a command to release the clamp of the turret turning shaft 161 is issued (step S205).
- step S205 the piston 180 of the engagement mechanism is moved to the second position so that the joint base 140 and the turret turning shaft 161 are connected and fixed, and the turret turning motor 164 is driven to rotate the globoidal cam 163 to thereby rotate the turret turning shaft.
- a command is issued to set the difference value ⁇ d to zero at 161, that is, to rotate the turret turning shaft 161 in a direction opposite to the deviation direction (step S206).
- control unit detects the rotation angle of the turret accompanying the turning of the turret turning shaft 161, and whether or not the integrated value of the rotation angle (the amount of rotation of the turret) matches the absolute value of the difference value ⁇ d. It is determined whether or not the turret has rotated by a rotation amount that can make the difference value ⁇ d zero (step S207). If “No” is determined in step S207, it is determined that the positional deviation of the tool has not yet been corrected, and the process returns to step S206.
- step S207 the turret rotation axis 161 is rotated by an amount corresponding to the absolute value of the difference value ⁇ d, and it is determined that the tool misalignment has been corrected, and the turret rotation command is stopped. To do. Thereafter, the control unit issues a command to drive the sleeve 114, clamps the entire circumference of the turret turning shaft 161 (step S208), and ends the correction program.
- step S209 is performed. Exemplifies the case where the alarm is displayed and the program is terminated. At this time, since the machining is not performed when the correction program is executed, the driving of the machine tool is stopped when the program is finished.
- a predetermined input means for example, a tool selection button such as an icon of a touch panel display device or a switch on the control panel
- the embodiment of the third embodiment is not limited to this case.
- the position shift can be corrected by executing the correction program.
- the control unit can automatically correct the positional deviation and place the tool tip position at the correct position.

Abstract
