本明細書で開示される技術は、コネクタに関する。
従来、ばね性を有する片持ち状のばね端子と、ばね端子を保持する本体部と、を備え、このばね端子が相手側端子に押圧接触することで両端子間が電気的に接続されるコネクタが知られている。例えば下記特許文献1には、弾性変形することで電子部品に接触し、当該電子部品と接続されるばね端子としてのコンタクトと、このコンタクトが装着された本体部としてのインシュレータと、を備えるコネクタが開示されている。
ところで、上記のようなばね端子を備えるコネクタでは、ばね端子が相手側端子に押圧接触した際、その荷重による応力が本体部のうちばね端子を保持する部分に加わる。このため、例えば本体部が樹脂製とされていると、高温環境下では、ばね端子が相手側端子に押圧接触した際、本体部のうちばね端子を保持する部分の上記応力によるクリープ変形量、即ち、時間の経過と共に樹脂が変形する量が大きく、ばね端子が相手側端子に押圧接触する際にばね端子に加わる荷重が不安定であった。
本明細書で開示される技術は、上記の課題に鑑みて創作されたものであって、ばね端子に加わる荷重を安定させることを目的とする。

上記のコネクタでは、ばね端子の接続部が相手側端子に押圧接触する方向と同じ方向で、絶縁部材の接触部がばね端子の片持ち部と接触する。このため、ばね端子の接続部が相手側端子に押圧接触した際、接続部に加わる荷重の向きと同じ向きで、当該荷重による応力を絶縁部材の接触部がばね端子の片持ち部から受け、絶縁部材が受けた応力は絶縁部材を介して金属部材によって吸収される。その結果、ばね端子の保持部に上記荷重による応力が加わることが抑制され、保持部におけるクリープ変形量を抑えることができ、ばね端子に加わる荷重を安定させることができる。
上記のコネクタにおいて、前記絶縁部材は、前記片持ち部側に臨む面が該片持ち部側に向かって膨らむ曲面とされてもよい。
この構成によると、絶縁部材の接触部がばね端子の片持ち部に接触し易くすることができる。このため、ばね端子の接続部が相手側端子に押圧接触した際、接続部に加わる荷重による応力を絶縁部材の接触部が受け易くすることができ、ばね端子の保持部におけるクリープ変形量を効果的に抑えることができる。
上記のコネクタにおいて、前記絶縁部材は、前記片持ち部側に臨む面が平面とされ、前記接触部は、前記片持ち部と面接触してもよい。
この構成によると、絶縁部材の接触部の略全域をばね端子の片持ち部に接触させることができる。その結果、ばね端子の接続部が相手側端子に押圧接触した際、接続部に加わる荷重による応力を絶縁部材の接触部が受け易くすることができ、ばね端子の保持部におけるクリープ変形量を効果的に抑えることができる。
上記のコネクタにおいて、前記ばね端子は、板ばねを曲げ加工することでなり、前記金属部材は、前記絶縁部材が配された部位が板状とされ、該絶縁部材が配された部位の板面が、前記片持ち部の板面と平行となる形で配されていてもよい。
この構成によると、絶縁部材が受ける応力が、金属部材のうち絶縁部材を介して片持ち部と重なり合う部分に均等に加わるため、当該応力を、絶縁部材を介して金属部材によって吸収し易くすることができる。
上記のコネクタにおいて、前記絶縁部材は、前記金属部材の前記板状とされた部位を挟み込む形で配され、該板状とされた部位の前記片持ち部側に向けられた板面とは反対側の板面に取り付けられていてもよい。
これによると、絶縁部材を金属部材に取り付けるための具体的な構成を提供することができる。
上記のコネクタにおいて、前記絶縁部材が絶縁紙であってもよい。
この構成によると、例えば絶縁部材が合成樹脂製の部材である場合と比べて絶縁部材が環境温度等の影響を受け難くなるため、ばね端子の保持部におけるクリープ変形量を効果的に抑えることができる。
本明細書で開示される技術によれば、ばね端子に加わる荷重を安定させることができる。
図面を参照して実施形態を説明する。本実施形態では、例えばハイブリッド自動車や電気自動車において、図示しないインバータと図示しないモータとの間を電気的に接続する接続装置1を構成するモータ側コネクタ(コネクタの一例)10について例示する。
なお、各図面の一部には、互いに直交するX軸、Y軸及びZ軸を示しており、各軸方向が各図面で示した方向となるように描かれている。このうちX軸方向は、図2における紙面右側を右方向としてモータ側コネクタ10の左右方向と一致しており、Y軸方向は、図3における紙面右側を前方としてモータ側コネクタ10の前後方向と一致しており、Z軸方向は、図1及び図3における紙面上側を上方としてモータ側コネクタ10の上下方向と一致している。
先に本実施形態のモータ側コネクタ10を含む接続装置1について説明する。接続装置1は、図1に示すように、モータ側コネクタ10と、モータ側コネクタ10に保持され、その一端部がモータと電気的に接続されるケーブル12と、ケーブル12の他端部から下方に伸びるモータ側端子(ばね端子の一例)20と、モータ側コネクタ10に組み付けられるインバータ側コネクタ30と、インバータと電気的に接続されるインバータ側端子(相手側端子の一例)40と、を備える。なお、各図面では、上側をモータ側とし、下側をインバータ側として図示している。
モータ側コネクタ10は、モータを収容する図示しないモータケースの外面に取り付けられており、インバータ側コネクタ30は、モータ側コネクタ10と対向する形で、インバータを収容する図示しないインバータケースの外面に取り付けられている。各インバータ側端子40は、インバータから伸びてインバータ側コネクタ30の下方に配されており、インバータ側コネクタ30の後述するインバータ側開口部30A(図3参照)から上方に露出している。そして接続装置1は、モータ側コネクタ10とインバータ側コネクタ30が組み付けられることで、モータ側端子20とインバータ側端子40との間を電気的に接続する部材とされる。
インバータ側コネクタ30は、合成樹脂製とされ、図1及び図2に示すように、略平板状をなしている。インバータ側コネクタ30には、上下方向に開口するインバータ側開口部30A(図3参照)と、変形防止部30C(図3参照)と、が設けられている。
インバータ側開口部30Aは、インバータ側コネクタ30がインバータケースに取り付けられた状態でインバータ側端子40が上方に露出するような配置及び大きさで開口している。インバータ側ボルト孔30Bは、インバータ側コネクタ30の四隅において、モータ側コネクタ10とインバータ側コネクタ30が組み付けられた状態で、モータ側ボルト孔16Bと重畳する位置にそれぞれ設けられている。変形防止部30Cは、後述する各ンバータ側端子40及び後述するモータ側端子20と対応する形で、モータ側端子20の接続部20Eのやや上方にそれぞれ設けられている。
インバータ側端子40は、剛性を有する板状のバスバーであり、その板面がX-Y平面と略平行となって前後方向に伸びている。インバータ側端子40は、上述したようにその一端部がインバータと接続されており、その他端部がインバータ側開口部30Aから上方に露出している。なお、各インバータ側端子40は、剛性を有することから、モータ側端子20の接続部20Eが押圧接触した状態でも撓み難くなっている。
次に、モータ側コネクタ10の構成について詳しく説明する。モータ側コネクタ10は、各図面に示すように、合成樹脂製とされた本体部14と、薄い枠板状の鉄板からなる鉄板部材(金属部材の一例)16と、本体部14に取り付けられ、モータ側端子20の上方を覆うカバー部材18と、から構成される。本体部14は、短い略筒状をなしており、上下方向に開口している。鉄板部材16は、インサート成形によって本体部14に保持されて本体部14と一体化されている。そしてケーブル12は、前後に伸びる形で本体部14に支持されている。
鉄板部材16の左右両側の部分には、それぞれ上下方向に貫通するダルマ孔16Aが設けられている。このダルマ孔16Aには、インバータ側コネクタ30に取り付けられた位置決めピン32が挿通され、鉄板部材16は、ダルマ孔16Aに位置決めピン32が挿通された状態からダルマ孔16Aに沿ってインバータ側コネクタ30に対して相対的に前後方向にスライドされることで、インバータ側コネクタ30との間でスライドロックされる。
カバー部材18の内面(下方に向けられた面)には、本体部14に装着される装着部18Aが設けられている。カバー部材18は、その左右両側の部分が本体部14に対してボルト締結により取り付けられるとともに、装着部18Aが本体部14の上方の開口に装着される。なお、装着部18Aは、本体部14の開口の内周面に対してシールリングを介して密着されるようになっている。
本体部14に支持されるケーブル12は、図3に示すように、芯線12Aと、その芯線12Aを被覆する絶縁被覆12Bと、により構成されており、その端末が本体部14に埋め込まれている。本体部14に埋め込まれたケーブル12の端末では、絶縁被覆12Bから芯線12Aが露出している。
モータ側端子20は、板ばねを曲げ加工することでなっており、ばね性を有している。モータ側端子20は、図3に示すように、その一端部が本体部14に埋め込まれることで本体部14に保持された保持部20Aとされる。モータ側端子20は、この保持部20Aにおいてケーブル12の端末で露出された芯線12Aと電気的に接続されている。
モータ側端子20は、図3に示すように、その板面を上下方向に向けた姿勢で本体部14(保持部20A)から本体部14内の空間S1を後方側に向かって片持ち状に真っ直ぐに伸びる片持ち部20Bと、片持ち部20Bの先端部から下方に屈曲する第1屈曲部20Cと、第1屈曲部20Cの先端部から前方やや下向きに屈曲する第2屈曲部20Dと、第2屈曲部20Dから伸びてその先端部がインバータ側端子40に押圧接触することで当該インバータ側端子40と接続される接続部20Eと、を有している。
モータ側端子20の接続部20Eは、インバータ側コネクタ30とモータ側コネクタ10とが組み付けられることで、図3に示すように、その接点P1において、インバータ側端子40の先端部に対してその上方から押圧接触する。従って、接続部20Eは、上下方向、換言すれば片持ち部20Bの伸びる方向(前後方向)と交差する方向でインバータ側端子40に押圧接触する。
モータ側端子20では、接続部20Eがインバータ側端子40に押圧接触されると、その反力によって接続部20Eがインバータ側端子40から上向きの荷重を受ける。接続部20Eがインバータ側端子40から荷重を受けると、その荷重による応力が第2屈曲部20D及び第1屈曲部20Cを介して片持ち部20Bまで伝達される。
なお、上述したインバータ側コネクタ30の変形防止部30Cは、モータ側端子20の接続部20Eが変形することを防止するために設けられている。即ち、接続部20Eが上方に向かって過度に押圧された場合、接続部20Eが上方に押されて変形防止部30Cと干渉する(図3参照)。これにより、モータ側端子20の接続部20Eが上方に曲がった形に変形することが防止される。
ここで本実施形態では、図3に示すように、鉄板部材16の後側部分のうち本体部14内に埋め込まれた部位が本体部14内で屈曲され、当該本体部14からモータ側端子20の片持ち部20Bに向けて本体部14内の空間S1まで延長して伸びている(以下、鉄板部材16のうち本体部14内の空間S1に位置する部位を「延長部16C」と称する)。延長部16Cは、その両板面が上下方向に向けられた姿勢で前後方向に伸びており、その一部がモータ側端子20における片持ち部20Bの後端部(第1屈曲部20C寄りの部分)との間にわずかな隙間を空けて当該後端部のやや上方に位置している。
鉄板部材16の延長部16C上には、図3に示すように、延長部16Cの両板面を挟み込む形で、断面視略コの字状の絶縁部材50が配されている。絶縁部材50は、合成樹脂製とされ、絶縁性を有している。絶縁部材50のうち延長部16Cの下側に位置する部位は、延長部16Cと片持ち部20Bとの間の上記隙間に入り込んで両者の間に介在することで、片持ち部20Bと接触する接触部50Aとされる。なお、延長部16Cと片持ち部20Bとの間に介在する接触部50Aは上述したように絶縁性を有するため、モータ側端子20と鉄板部材16との間で短絡は発生しない。
絶縁部材50における接触部50Aは、片持ち部20Bの上方に位置することで、上下方向(片持ち部20Bの伸びる方向と交差する方向)で片持ち部20Bと接触する。また、接触部50Aの下面(片持ち部20B側に臨む面)は、図3に示すように、片持ち部20B側に向かってわずかに膨らむ曲面とされている。これにより、接触部50Aが片持ち部20Bに接触し易くなっている。
一方、絶縁部材50のうち延長部16Cの上側に位置する部位は、図示しないランス構造によって延長部16Cの上面(片持ち部20B側に向けられた板面と反対側の板面)に取り付けられた取付部50Bとされる。
さて、以上のような構成とされた本実施形態のモータ側コネクタ10では、モータ側端子20の接続部20Eがインバータ側端子40に押圧接触する方向、即ち上下方向で、絶縁部材50の接触部50Aがモータ側端子20の片持ち部20Bと接触する。このため、インバータ側コネクタ30と組み付けられることでモータ側端子20の接続部20Eがインバータ側端子40に押圧接触した際、インバータ側端子40から接続部20Eに加わる荷重と同じ向き、即ち上向きで、その荷重による応力を絶縁部材50の接触部50Aがモータ側端子20の片持ち部20Bから受ける。
そして、絶縁部材50が片持ち部20Bから上記応力を受けると、その応力は絶縁部材50を介して鉄板部材16の延長部16Cによって吸収される。その結果、モータ側端子20の保持部20Aに上記荷重による応力が加わることが抑制され、保持部20Aにおけるクリープ変形量を抑えることができる。本実施形態のモータ側コネクタ10では、このように保持部20Aにおけるクリープ変形量が抑えられるため、モータ側端子20がインバータ側端子40に押圧接触された際にモータ側端子20に加わる荷重を安定させることができる。
また、本実施形態では、鉄板部材16の延長部16Cの板面が上下方向に向けられていることで、延長部16Cの板面が片持ち部20Bの板面と平行となっている。このような構成とされていることで、絶縁部材50の接触部50Aが受ける応力が、鉄板部材16のうち絶縁部材50を介して片持ち部20Bと重なり合う部分、即ち延長部16Cに均等に加わるため、当該応力を、絶縁部材50を介して鉄板部材16によって吸収し易くすることができる。
上記の実施形態の変形例を以下に列挙する。
(1)上記の実施形態では、絶縁部材が合成樹脂製とされた構成を例示したが、絶縁部材を構成する材料は限定されない。例えば、絶縁部材が絶縁紙であってもよい。この場合、絶縁部材が合成樹脂製の部材である場合と比べて絶縁部材が環境温度等の影響を受け難くなるため、ばね端子の保持部におけるクリープ変形量を効果的に抑えることができる。
(1)上記の実施形態では、絶縁部材が合成樹脂製とされた構成を例示したが、絶縁部材を構成する材料は限定されない。例えば、絶縁部材が絶縁紙であってもよい。この場合、絶縁部材が合成樹脂製の部材である場合と比べて絶縁部材が環境温度等の影響を受け難くなるため、ばね端子の保持部におけるクリープ変形量を効果的に抑えることができる。
(2)上記の実施形態では、接触部の下面が片持ち部側に向かって膨らむ曲面とされた例を示したが、接触部の下面の形状は限定されない。例えば、接触部の下面が平面とされ、接触部が片持ち部と面接触してもよい。この場合、絶縁部材の接触部の略全域を片持ち部に接触させることができる。その結果、モータ側端子の接続部がインバータ側端子に押圧接触した際、接続部に加わる荷重による応力を絶縁部材の接触部が受け易くすることができ、モータ側端子の保持部におけるクリープ変形量を効果的に抑えることができる。
(3)上記の実施形態では、モータ側端子が2つの屈曲部を有する構成を例示したが、モータ側端子の屈曲態様については限定されない。例えばモータ側端子が断面視略V字状に屈曲した形状とされてもよい。
(4)上記の実施形態では、鉄板部材の後側部分から延長部が伸びる構成を例示したが、延長部が設けられる位置については限定されない。例えば、金属製のカバー部材から片持ち部に向けて延長部が下方に伸びる構成であってもよい。
(5)上記の実施形態では、コネクタの一例としてモータ側コネクタを例示したが、本明細書で開示される技術は、モータ側コネクタ以外のコネクタにおいても適用可能である。

Claims (6)
- 本体部と、
ばね性を有し、前記本体部に保持された保持部と、前記本体部から片持ち状に伸びる片持ち部と、該片持ち部から屈曲されることで該片持ち部の伸びる方向と交差する方向で相手側端子に押圧接触して該相手側端子と接続される接続部と、を有するばね端子と、
前記本体部に保持され、該本体部から前記片持ち部に向けて伸びる金属製の金属部材と、
絶縁性を有し、少なくとも前記片持ち部と前記金属部材との間に介在する形で該金属部材上に配された絶縁部材と、を備え、
前記絶縁部材は、前記交差する方向で前記片持ち部と接触する接触部を有するコネクタ。 - 前記絶縁部材は、前記片持ち部側に臨む面が該片持ち部側に向かって膨らむ曲面とされる、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記絶縁部材は、前記片持ち部側に臨む面が平面とされ、
前記接触部は、前記片持ち部と面接触する、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記ばね端子は、板ばねを曲げ加工することでなり、
前記金属部材は、前記絶縁部材が配された部位が板状とされ、該絶縁部材が配された部位の板面が、前記片持ち部の板面と平行となる形で配されている、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記絶縁部材は、前記金属部材の前記板状とされた部位を挟み込む形で配され、該板状とされた部位の前記片持ち部側に向けられた板面とは反対側の板面に取り付けられている、請求項4に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記絶縁部材が絶縁紙である、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
