Description

対象物検出装置 関連出願の相互参照
 本出願は、2015年3月27日に出願された日本特許出願番号2015-66752号に基づくもので、ここにその記載内容を援用する。
 本開示は、車両内における対象物を検出する技術に関する。
 従来、車両内における対象物、例えば人や物等を検出する技術が知られている。特許文献1では、駐車場内の車両に向けてマイクロ波を送信し、車両内で反射された反射波を駐車場内に設けられた装置により受信し、受信した反射波に基づいて、車両内における人の存在の有無を検出する技術が提案されている。
 しかしながら、送信された電波が車両内に存在する人体から反射される割合は、送信された電波が人体に吸収される割合よりも小さい。すなわち、前述の技術では、電波の強度が小さい反射波に基づいて車両内における対象物の有無を検出するため、検出精度が低下することがあり得る。

 このような構成を備える本開示の対象物検出装置では、電波の受信側と送信側との間の対象物の存在の有無を、対象物による電波の吸収に基づいて判断する。対象物による電波の吸収される割合は電波の反射される割合よりも大きいため、電波の受信側と送信側との間に対象物が存在するときと存在しないときとの受信強度の差は、反射波を用いる従来技術よりも大きく検出される。また、本開示の対象物検出装置では、複数の送信特性で電波を送信し、これらの受信強度に基づいて対象物が存在することを検出する。ある送信特性において対象物が存在しない場合に受信強度が仮に0付近の値になるような状況が生じたとしても、他の送信特性においてはある値を有する受信強度が得られるため、対象物が存在しない場合に存在すると誤検出することが抑制される。したがって、本開示によれば、対象物の検出精度を向上させることができる。

 車載装置3は、図1に示すように、車載通信部10、検出送信部20、センサ部30、制御ECU50、制御対象部60、及び記録部40を備える。なお、ECUとは、電子制御装置(Electronic Control Unit)の略称である。車載装置3は車両のイグニションスイッチがオフの場合も電源が供給されるように構成されている。
 車載通信部10は、車載送信部11と、車載送信アンテナ12と、車載受信部13と、車載受信アンテナ14とを備える。車載送信部11は、制御ECU50から出力された出力データについて、所定周波数帯(LF帯、例えば百数十kHz帯)の送信用搬送波を変調することにより、電子キー2への送信信号を生成する。車載送信部11は、生成した送信信号を、車載送信アンテナ12から送信させる。
 車載受信アンテナ14は、電子キー2または検出送信部20から送信された所定周波数帯(UHF帯(三百~四百MHz帯))の電波を受信する。本実施形態では、車載受信アンテナ14は、後部座席後方のCピラーに設けられる。車載受信部13は、車載受信アンテナ14にて受信された受信信号からデータを復調して制御ECU50へ入力する。また、車載受信部13は、車載受信アンテナ14にて受信された受信信号の強度を電圧値等のアナログ信号で表す受信強度信号を生成して制御ECU50へ入力する。
 検出送信部20は、図2に示すように、検出波生成部21と検出送信アンテナ部23とを備える。検出送信アンテナ部23は、第1検出送信アンテナ231と第2検出送信アンテナ232とを備える。第1検出送信アンテナ231は垂直偏波の電波が送信されるダイポールアンテナを備え、第2検出送信アンテナ232は水平偏波の電波が送信されるダイポールアンテナを備える。
 検出波生成部21は、発振部211と、増幅部212と、分配部213とを備える。発振部211は、UHF帯(三百~四百MHz帯)の検出搬送信号を生成する。また、発振部211は、制御ECU50からの検出開始信号が入力されると、予め定められた検出送信期間、無変調の検出搬送信号を増幅部212へ供給する。
 増幅部212は、無変調の検出搬送信号を所定の検出送信電力となるように増幅し、分配部213へ供給する。分配部213は、検出搬送信号を、第1検出送信アンテナ231と第2検出送信アンテナ232とに分配して検出送信波として送信させる。分配部213は、第1検出送信アンテナ231と第2検出送信アンテナ232とに対する検出送信電力の分配比を、制御ECU50からの分配比信号に従って調整可能に構成されている。
 例えば、検出送信電力の全体を10として、分配比(第1検出送信アンテナ231:第2検出送信アンテナ232)が10:0の場合は、検出送信アンテナ部23から垂直偏波の電波のみが送信される。また例えば、分配比が0:10の場合は、検出送信アンテナ部23から水平偏波の電波のみが送信される。また例えば、分配比を、0:10、1:9、2:8、…10:0のように所定の割合で変化させた場合は、第1検出送信アンテナ231と第2検出送信アンテナ232とから送信される電波が合成され、検出送信アンテナ部23から円偏波の電波を送信可能となる。なお、分配比を変化させた場合は、変化に応じて検出送信アンテナ部23としての指向性も変化する。
 このような検出送信部20(少なくとも第1検出送信アンテナ231及び第2検出送信アンテナ232)は、本実施形態では図3に示すように、後部座席7の助手席側の車両床面に設置される。つまり、検出送信部20を送信側とし車載受信部13を受信側として、送信側から受信側へ送信される検出送信波が車両の後部座席7に存在する対象物により遮られるように、検出送信部20が配置される。対象物の一例としては、後部座席7に存在する人9が挙げられる。
 図1に戻り説明を続ける。記録部40は、EEPROMやフラッシュROM等の書き換え可能な記録装置である。第1検出送信アンテナ231と第2検出送信アンテナ232との分配比が予め記録されている。本実施形態では、一例として図4に示すように、分配比がテーブル形式で記録されている。図4に示す分配比テーブルでは、検出送信電力を10で表したときの分配比が、0:10、1:9、2:8、…10:0というように複数種類記録されている。
 図1に戻り説明を続ける。センサ部30は、自車両の乗降用ドアがユーザにより操作されたことを検出するものである。ここでは一例として、センサ部30が運転座席側の乗降用ドアが操作されたことを検出する場合について説明する。センサ部30は、ロックスイッチ31と、アンロックセンサ32と、ドア開閉スイッチ33と、室内スイッチ34とを備える。ロックスイッチ31及びアンロックセンサ32は、運転座席側の乗降用ドアのドアハンドル(車室外)に設けられる。ロックスイッチ31は、人による押し操作を検出し、制御ECU50へ検出信号を出力する。アンロックセンサ32は、人による接触を検出し、制御ECU50へ検出信号を出力する。ドア開閉スイッチ33は、運転座席側の乗降用ドアが開かれたことを検出し、制御ECU50へ検出信号を検出する。室内スイッチ34は、運転座席側の乗降用ドアのドアハンドル(車室内)に設けられ、該ドアについて車室内側から解錠操作または施錠操作が行われたことを検出し、制御ECU50へ検出信号を出力する。なお、これらのロックスイッチ31~室内スイッチ34は、各乗降用ドアごとに設けられている。
 制御ECU50は、CPU51、ROM52、RAM53等を有するマイクロコンピュータを備える電子制御装置である。ROM52には、自車両に予め登録された電子キー2を識別するための認証コードが記録されている。以下では、自車両に予め登録された電子キー2を登録キーという。CPU51は、ROM52に記憶されたプログラムに従って、対象物検出処理、施錠解錠処理、を少なくとも実行する。
 対象物検出処理については後述する。施錠解錠処理については、多様な処理が考えられるが、一例を簡単に説明する。施解錠処理では、例えば、駐車中の自車両に車両外から近づいてきたユーザの携帯する電子キー2が登録キーであることを電子キー2からの受信データに含まれる認証コードに基づいて確認した後に、後述するボデーECUを解錠待機状態に設定する。また、施錠解錠処理では、例えば、自車両の駐車時に降車したユーザの携帯する電子キー2が登録キーであることを認証コードに基づいて確認した後に、ボデーECUを施錠待機状態に設定する。
 制御対象部60は、自車両における制御対象の挙動を制御する複数の装置を備える。装置の一例としては後述するボデーECUが挙げられる。制御対象には、ドア開閉機構61、スピーカ62、ハザードランプ63等が少なくとも含まれる。ドア開閉機構61は運転座席側の乗降用ドアの開閉を行うアクチュエータであり、スピーカ62は制御ECU50からの指令によって車外に向けての警告音を発生させ、ハザードランプ63は制御ECU50からの指令によって点滅を繰り返して車外に向けての警告を行うものである。
 図示しないボデーECUは、解錠待機状態に設定されると、アンロックセンサ32から検出信号を受信した場合に、ドア開閉機構61を作動させて、運転座席側の乗降用ドアを自動で解錠する。また、ボデーECUは、施錠待機状態に設定されると、ロックスイッチ31から検出信号を受信した場合に、ドア開閉機構61を作動させて、運転座席側の乗降用ドアを自動で施錠する。すなわち、電子キー2を携帯することによって、通信システム1では、特別な操作を行うことなく、自動的に運転座席側の乗降用ドアの施解錠が行われる。
 [1-2.処理]
 次に、制御ECU50が備えるCPU51が実行する対象物検出処理について、図5に示すフローチャートを用いて説明する。対象物検出処理は、自車両の駐車時に全ての乗降用ドアがロックされたことをきっかけとして実行される。自車両の駐車時にエンジンは停止しているものとする。なお、以下の説明において、文中の主語が省略されている場合は、制御ECU50を主語とする。
 はじめにS110では、カウンタCをリセットする。具体的には、カウンタCに0を代入する。次にS120では、カウンタCの値を1つ増加させる。 続くS130では、検出送信アンテナ部23の送信特性を設定する。すなわち、検出送信アンテナ231及び第2検出送信アンテナ232にて検出送信波を送信させるときの分配比を設定する。具体的には、記録部40からカウンタCの値に対応する分配比を読み出し、分配比を表す分配比信号を出力する。例えば、カウンタCの値が1の場合は、0:10の分配比を表す分配比信号を出力する。
 次にS140では、検出送信アンテナ部23(第1検出送信アンテナ231、第2検出送信アンテナ232)から検出送信波を送信させる。具体的には、検出開始信号を出力する。
 続くS150では、車載受信アンテナ14にて何らかのUHF帯の電波が受信されて、受信信号が車載受信部13に入力されるまで待機する。受信信号が車載受信部13に入力されると、S160では、入力された受信信号が検出送信部20からの送信検出波に基づくものであるか否かを判断する。具体的には、入力された受信信号に基づいて車載受信部13にて復調された受信データが認証コードを含まない場合に、入力された受信信号が検出送信部20からの送信検出波に基づくものであると判断する。ここで、受信信号が検出送信波に基づくものでない場合(S160;NO)は、入力された受信信号が電子キー2から送信された電波に基づくものであると判断して本対象物検出処理を終了する。一方、入力された受信信号が検出送信波に基づくものである場合(S160;YES)は、処理をS170へ移行させる。
 S170では、車載受信部13からの受信強度信号に基づいて該受信信号の受信強度値を特定してRAM53に記録する。次にS180では、分配比テーブルにて予め準備された全ての種類の分配比について、検出送信波を送信したか否かを判断する。ここでは、分配比の種類をCs種類として、カウンタCの値が所定の検出数Cs以上である場合に、全ての種類の分配比について検出送信波を送信したと判断する。なお、図5の例ではCsは11に設定される。全ての種類の分配比について検出送信波を送信していない場合は処理をS120へ移行させてS120~S180の処理を繰り返し、全ての種類の分配比について検出送信波を送信し終えた場合は処理をS190へ移行させる。
 S190では、RAM53に分配比ごとに記録された受信強度値を用いて、これらの平均値を算出する。S200では、自車両内に人が存在するか否かを判断する。具体的には、S190にて算出した平均値が、予めROM52に記録されている所定の第1の閾値未満である場合(平均値<第1の閾値)に、自車両内の後部座席7に人が存在すると判断する。第1の閾値は、検出送信アンテナ部23と車載受信アンテナ14との間に電波を遮るものが存在しない場合に予めS190にて算出した平均値に基づいて、設定される。第1の閾値は、予めROM52に記録される。自車両内に人が存在しないと判断する場合(S200;NO)は本対象物検出処理を終了し、人が存在すると判断する場合(S200;YES)は、処理をS210へ移行させる。
 S210では、第1の態様で報知を行う。具体的には、第1の態様としてスピーカ62に車外へ向けて警告音を発生させて、自車両内の後部座席7に乗員が残っていることを自車両外に報知する。
 つまり、対象物検出処理では、異なる複数の送信特性(分配比)で検出送信アンテナ部23から検出送信波を送信させる。そして、これらの受信強度の平均値に基づいて、検出送信アンテナ部23と車載受信アンテナ14との間の位置に人が存在することを判断する。
 [1-3.効果]
 以上詳述した第1実施形態によれば、以下の効果が得られる。
 [1A]検出送信波の受信側(車載受信アンテナ14)と送信側(検出送信アンテナ部23)との間の人の存在の有無を、人による検出送信波の吸収に基づいて判断する。人による検出送信波の吸収される割合は反射される割合よりも大きい。このため、検出送信波の受信側と送信側との間に人が存在するときと存在しないときとの受信強度の差は、反射波を用いる従来技術よりも大きく検出される。したがって、本実施形態によれば、人の検出精度を従来技術よりも向上させることができる。
 [1B]ところで、車両内の電波の伝搬状況によっては、ある送信特性にて検出送信アンテナ部23から検出送信波を送信させたときに、人が存在しない場合であっても車載受信部13による受信強度が第1の閾値未満の0付近の値になる状況が生じ得る。つまり、このようなひとつの送信特性における受信強度に基づいて判断を行うと、実際には人が存在しないのに、人が存在するというように誤検出するおそれがある。
 これに対し本実施形態では、異なる複数の送信特性で検出送信アンテナ部23から検出送信波を送信させる。そして、これらの受信強度の平均値に基づいて、検出送信アンテナ部23から車載受信アンテナ14へ送信された検出送信波を遮る自車両内の位置に人が存在することを判断する。これによれば、人が存在しない場合の受信強度は、ある送信特性では0付近の値になったとしても、他の送信特性では比較的強くなる可能性が高いため、これら複数の受信強度(検出受信強度)の平均値は、第1の閾値を超える値となる。つまり、本実施形態によれば、実際には人が存在しないのに、人が存在するというように誤検出することを抑制することができる。
 なお、前述の受信強度が0になるような状況は、例えば車室内で、運転座席や助手席の移動等のシートアレンジが行われた場合に生じ得る。シートアレンジによる移動後の運転座席や助手席による電波の反射の影響等により、自車両内における検出送信波の伝搬状況が変化するためである。図6(a)及び図6(b)は、一例として、検出送信アンテナ部23をある送信特性としたときの、人が存在しない車室内での送信検出波の受信強度分布を示すシミュレーション図である。シートアレンジ前(図6(a))では、車載受信部13にてある値の受信強度が検出されるが、シートアレンジ後(図6(b))では、人が存在しないにもかかわらず、受信強度が0付近の値になることが確認された。
 これに対して、図7(a)は、図6(b)と同様のシートアレンジ後であって、人が存在しない車室内における、本実施形態による検出受信強度の平均値の分布を示すシミュレーション図である。車載受信部13にて第1の閾値を超える値が平均値として検出されることが確認された。また、図7(b)は、図7(a)と同じシートアレンジ後であって、人が存在する車室内における検出受信強度の平均値の分布を示すシミュレーション図である。車載受信部13にて第1の閾値未満となる0付近の値が平均値として検出されることが確認された。
 [1C]自車両の駐車時に全ての乗降用ドアがロックされた後に、自車両内における人の存在を検出した場合、スピーカ62による自車両外への報知を行う。これによれば、自車両内に乗員が残されていることを、自車両外へ報知することができる。
 [1D]自車両内の後部座席7おける人の存在を検出する検出送信波を、通信システム1において電子キー2との通信に用いられる車載受信部13を用いて受信する。これによれば、検出送信波を受信する装置を個別に備えるのではなく、通信システム1における受信側の装置である車載受信部13を検出送信波を受信する装置として兼用するため、車載装置3の小型化、軽量化を図ることができる。
 なお、第1実施形態では、車載装置3が対象物検出装置の一例に相当し、検出送信部20が送信器の一例に相当し、車載受信部13が受信器の一例に相当し、制御ECU50が設定器、送信制御器、検出器及び報知器の一例に相当する。また、検出送信アンテナ部23が送信アンテナの一例に相当し、スピーカ62が報知部の一例に相当する。また、S130が設定器の処理の一例に相当する。また、S140が送信制御器の処理の一例に相当し、S200が検出器の処理の一例に相当し、S210が報知器の処理の一例に相当する。
 [2.第2実施形態]
 [2-1.構成]
 第2実施形態は、基本的な構成は第1実施形態と同様であるため、共通する構成については説明を省略し、相違点を中心に説明する。
 第2実施形態では、第1実施形態の対象物検出処理の検出結果を、後述する盗難報知処理に適用する点で、第1実施形態と相違する。具体的には、本実施形態では、盗難報知処理と対象物検出処理とを並行して実行する点で、第1実施形態と相違する。また、本実施形態の制御ECU50が実行する対象物検出処理では、図5に示す第1実施形態における対象物検出処理と比較して、S100が追加され、S210がS220に置換される点が異なる。
 [2-2.処理]
 [2-2-1.対象物検出処理]
 本実施形態の制御ECU50が備えるCPU51が実行する対象物検出処理について、図8に示すフローチャートを用いて説明する。
 S100では、人検出フラグをリセットする。具体的には、人検出フラグは、セットされている場合に自車両内の後部座席7に人が存在していることを表し、リセットされている場合に自車両内の後部座席7に人が存在していないことを表すフラグである。なお、一例として、人検出フラグの値が1であるときに該人検出フラグがセットされているといい、値が0であるときに該人検出フラグがリセットされているというものとする。
 S110~S210では、第1実施形態と同様の処理を実行する。ただし、S200では、自車両内の後部座席7に人が存在すると判断する場合(S200;YES)、処理をS220に移行させる。
 S220では、人検出フラグをセットし、本対象物検出処理を終了する。つまり、本対象物検出処理では、自車両内の後部座席7に人が存在すると判断する場合(S200;YES)、第1実施形態における車両外部への報知に代えて、人検出フラグをセットする。
 [2-2-2.盗難報知処理]
 本実施形態で一例として挙げる盗難報知処理の概要について説明する。例えば、運転者が自車両の駐車時に乗降用ドアの全てを施錠して自車両を離れたとする。このとき、運転者に気づかれること無く自車両内に不審者が潜んでいたとすると、該不審者によって自車両を盗難されてしまうという状況が生じ得る。盗難報知処理は、このような自車両に潜んでいた不審者によって自車両が盗難されることを抑制するための処理である。
 盗難報知処理は、制御ECU50内のCPU51によって、ROM52に記録されたプログラムに従って、対象物検出処理と並行して実行される。盗難報知処理は、自車両の駐車時に、全ての乗降用ドアがロックされたことをきっかけとして、所定の期間毎に繰り返し実行される。盗難報知処理について、図9のフローチャートを用いて説明する。
 S(ステップ)10では、乗降用ドアのいずれかが自車両の内側から開けられたか否かを判断する。乗降用ドアのいずれかが自車両の内側から開けられていないと判断した場合(S10;NO)、本盗難報知処理を終了し、乗降用ドアのいずれかが自車両の内側から開けられたと判断した場合(S10;YES)、処理をS20へ移行させる。具体的には、乗降用ドアのいずれかが開けられたことをドア開閉スイッチ33により検出するとともに、開けられた乗降用ドアのドアロックが該乗降用ドアに設けられている室内スイッチ34への操作により解除されたことを検出した場合に、この乗降用ドアが自車両の内側から開けられたと判断する。
 乗降用ドアが自車両内側から開けられたと判断した場合に移行するS20では、自車両の駐車時に全ての乗降用ドアがロックされた時点で、自車両内の後部座席7に乗員が残されていたか否かを判断する。自車両内の後部座席7に乗員が残されていた場合(S20;YES)、本盗難報知処理を終了し、自車両内の後部座席7に乗員が残されていなかった場合(S20;NO)、処理をS30へ移行させる。具体的には、人検出フラグがセットされている場合に、自車両の駐車時に全ての乗降用ドアがロックされた時点で自車両内の後部座席7に乗員が残されていたと判断する。
 自車両内の後部座席7に乗員が残されていなかったと判断した場合に移行するS30では、盗難報知を行い、本盗難報知止処理を終了する。具体的には、スピーカ62を用いて車外に向けて警告音を発生させて、盗難報知を行う。
 [2-3.効果]
 以上詳述した第2実施形態によれば、前述した第1実施形態の効果[1A]~[1B]、[1D]に加え、以下の効果が得られる。
 [2A]自車両の駐車時に全ての乗降用ドアがロックされた時点で自車両内に乗員が残されていなかった(S20;NO)場合、これ以降に乗降用ドアのいずれかが自車両内側から開けられたときは、乗員に気づかれること無く自車両内に不審者が存在していたものとして警告音を発生させる。警告音を発生させるのは、不審者の存在を自車両外部に報知し、不審者によって自車両が盗難されることを抑制するためである。
 ただし、自車両の駐車時に全ての乗降用ドアがロックされた時点で自車両内に乗員が残されていた(S20;YES)場合には、これ以降に乗降用ドアのいずれかが自車両内側から開けられたとしても、乗員によって乗降用ドアが開けられたものとして、警告音を発生させない。自車両内に乗員が残されていたか否かは、検出送信部20から送信される検出送信波の強度と車載受信部13にて受信される検出送信波の強度との差分に基づいて検出される。
 これにより、盗難報知処理の実行中に、不必要に警告音を発生させることを抑制することができる。
 [3.第3実施形態]
 [3-1.構成]
 第3実施形態は、基本的な構成は第1実施形態と同様であるため、共通する構成については説明を省略し、相違点を中心に説明する。
 第3実施形態では、第1実施形態の検出送信部20が図10に示す検出送信部25に置換される点で、第1実施形態と相違する。すなわち、第1実施形態では、検出送信部20における検出送信アンテナ部23の指向性及び検出送信波の偏波状態を変化させていたが、本実施形態では、検出送信部25における送信検出波の偏波状態を変化させる点で相違する。
 検出送信部25は、図10に示すように、発振部211と、増幅部212と、整合部27と、容量制御部28と、検出送信アンテナ部29とを備える。検出送信部25は、一例として図11に示すように、回路基盤251を用いて構成される。
 図10に戻り説明を続ける。整合部27は、増幅部212と検出送信アンテナ部29との間に設けられたインピーダンス整合回路である。整合部27は、容量制御部28からのインピーダンス制御信号SZに従って、インピーダンスを可変とするように構成されている。
 検出送信アンテナ部29は、閉ループアンテナを形成可能なアンテナ素子291と、アンテナ素子291の閉ループの経路途中に設けられた可変容量部292とを備える。可変容量部292は、容量制御信号に従ってその容量を可変できる素子であり、本実施形態では一例としてPINダイオードが可変容量部292として用いられる。
 容量制御部28は、制御ECU50からの送信制御信号に従って、容量制御信号を生成して検出送信アンテナ部29へ供給するとともに、インピーダンス制御信号を生成して整合部27へ供給する。容量制御信号は、送信制御信号に応じて可変容量部292の容量を変化させるべく生成される。インピーダンス制御信号は、容量制御信号によって可変容量部292の容量を変化させたときにアンテナ素子291に効率よく電流が流れるように、整合部27を調整すべく生成される。
 このような制御ECU50からの送信制御信号に従って、検出送信アンテナ部29では、インピーダンスが低いときはアンテナ素子291において可変容量部292の部分が短絡状態とすることが可能であり、インピーダンスが高いときはアンテナ素子291において可変容量部292の部分が断線状態とすることが可能である。すなわち、制御ECU50から出力される送信制御信号に従って、アンテナ素子291を閉ループ状態から開ループ状態まで変化させることにより、検出送信アンテナ部29の偏波状態を変化させることが可能である。
 [3-2.処理]
 本実施形態の制御ECU50は、図5に示す対象物検出処理と同様の処理を実行するが、S130においては実行する処理内容が第1実施形態と相違する。
 本実施形態の制御ECU50は、S130では、検出送信アンテナ部29(アンテナ素子291)にて検出送信波を送信させるときの送信特性を設定する。一例として本実施形態では、検出送信部25の可変容量部292のインピーダンスを、カウンタCの値が低い値から大きい値となるに応じて、低いインピーダンス値から高いインピーダンス値へ変化させるような信号を、送信制御信号として出力する。
 [3-3.効果]
 以上詳述した第3実施形態によれば、前述した第1実施形態の効果[1A]~[1D]に加え、以下の効果が得られる。
 [3A]1つのアンテナ(検出送信アンテナ部29)で、異なる偏波状態の検出送信波を送信可能であるため、検出送信部25を簡易に構成することができる。なお、第3実施形態では、検出送信部25が送信器の一例に相当し、検出送信アンテナ部29が検出アンテナの一例に相当する。
 [4.他の実施形態]
 以上、本開示の実施形態について説明したが、本開示は、上記実施形態に限定されることなく、種々の形態を採り得ることは言うまでもない。
 [4A]上記実施形態では、検出送信アンテナ部23、29の送信特性を複数種類変化させて検出送信波を送信して、これらの受信強度の平均値に基づいて人の存在の有無を判断したが、これら複数の受信強度に基づいて人の存在の有無を判断するものであれば、どのような構成でもよい。例えば、これらの受信強度の最大値に基づいて人の存在の有無を判断してもよい。この場合、図5に示すフローチャートのS190における処理を、受信強度の最大値を検出する処理に置換し、S200における処理を、検出した最大値が所定の閾値(第2の閾値)未満である場合に人が存在すると判断する処理に置換してよい。これにより、上記実施形態と同様の効果が奏される。
 [4B]上記実施形態では、検出送信アンテナ部23を、送信特性としての偏波状態及び指向性を変化可能なアンテナの一例として挙げた。また、検出送信アンテナ部29を送信特性としての偏波状態を変化可能なアンテナの一例として挙げたが、検出送信波を送信するアンテナはこれらに限るものではない。例えば、フェーズドアレイアンテナを指向性を変化可能なアンテナとして用いてもよいし、回転する構成を有するダイポールアンテナを偏波状態を変化可能なアンテナとし用いても良い。または円偏波アンテナを用いても良い。
 [4C]上記実施形態では、自車両内の後部座席7における人を検出した。ただし、検出対象はこれに限るものではなく、人に加えて更に、自車両内の後部座席7における人とは異なる物体、例えば後部座席7における荷物等を検出対象として検出してもよい。これらの荷物等を検出対象とする場合の電波の吸収は、人を検出対象とする場合よりも小さい。このため、荷物等を検出対象とする場合は、検出対象を人とする場合に用いる閾値(第1の閾値または第2の閾値)よりも大きい閾値に基づいて、荷物の存在の有無を判断すればよい。自車両内に人以外の所定の物体が残されていることを、自車両外へ報知することができる。また、人を検出した場合と荷物等を検出した場合とで、報知態様が異なるように設定されてもよい。これによれば、自車両に残されている対象物が人または人とは異なる物体のいずれであるのかを、報知態様に基づいて、自車両外から特定することができる。
 [4D]上記実施形態では、電子キー2から送信される送信波と、検出送信部20から送信される検出送信波とは、同様の周波数帯(UHF帯)が用いられた。このため、受信データに認証コードが含まれない場合に、該受信データを含む受信信号が検出送信部20から送信されたものであると判断した(S160;YES)。ただし、受信信号が検出送信波であるか否かの判断はこれに限るものではない。例えば、検出送信部20から送信されるデータのデータ長を電子キー2から送信されるデータのデータ長とは異なる長さ(例えば、電子キー2のデータ長より長く)に設定してもよい。そして、受信データのデータ長に基づいて、該受信データを含む受信信号が検出送信部20から送信されたものであるか否かを判断してもよい。
 [4E]電子キー2からの送信信号の送信周波数と検出送信部20からの検出送信波の周波数とを異なる周波数に設定し、周波数が異なることに基づいて、電子キー2及び検出送信部20のいずれの装置からの受信信号であるかを判断してもよい。
 [4F]上記実施形態では、検出送信部20から送信される検出送信波の周波数は、UHF帯の所定の周波数に設定されていたが、これに限るものではない。検出送信波の周波数は、任意の周波数帯(例えば、ISM(Industry-Science-Medical)帯の周波数等)に設定されてもよい。
 [4G]上記実施形態では、スピーカ62、ハザードランプ63を用いて車外へ向けての警告を行ったが、これらに限らず、他の装置によって車外への警告を行ってもよい。また例えば、人が検出されたことをハザードランプ63を用いて報知してもよいし、人とは異なる物体が検出されたことをスピーカ62を用いて報知してもよい。
 [4H]上記実施形態では、自車両内の後部座席7おける対象物の存在を検出したが、これに限らず、例えば、助手席における対象物の存在を検出してもよい。
 [4I]上記実施形態では、通信システム1にて電子キー2との通信に用いられる車載受信部13を、検出送信波を受信する装置として用いていた。ただし、これに限らず、車載装置3は、検出送信波を受信する装置を車載受信部13とは別の装置として備えていてもよい。
 [4J]上記実施形態では、自車両内に所定の対象物が存在することを検出する検出送信波を送信する装置(検出送信部20)と、検出送信波を受信する装置(車載受信部13)とをそれぞれ1つずつ備えていた。ただし、これに限らず、車載装置3は、検出送信波を送信する装置、及び受信する装置を、それぞれ複数備えていていてもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  車両に搭載され、電波の受信側と送信側との間の所定の対象物を検出する対象物検出装置(3)であって、
     前記電波の送信側において、予め定められた強度の電波を送信する送信器(20、25)と、
     前記電波の受信側において、前記送信器から電波が送信されるたびに送信された電波を受信する受信器(13、14)と、
     前記送信器の送信方式を異なる複数の送信特性に設定する設定器(50、S130)と、
     前記設定器によって前記送信方式が設定されるたびに、設定された前記送信方式で前記送信器に電波を送信させる送信制御器(50、S140)と、
     前記受信器にて受信されたそれぞれの電波の受信強度を表す検出受信強度に基づいて、前記送信器から前記受信器へ送信された電波を遮る前記車両の内部の位置に前記対象物が存在することを検出する検出器(50、S200)と、を備える対象物検出装置。
  2.  請求項1に記載の対象物検出装置であって
     前記送信器は、送信アンテナ(23)を備え、
     前記設定器は、前記複数の送信特性の一つとして、前記送信アンテナの指向性を変化させる対象物検出装置。
  3.  前記請求項1または請求項2に記載の対象物検出装置であって、
     前記設定器は、前記複数の送信特性の他の一つとして、前記送信器から送信される電波の偏波状態を変化させる対象物検出装置。
  4.  請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の対象物検出装置であって、
     前記検出器は、前記検出受信強度の平均値が予め定められた閾値未満である場合に、前記対象物が存在することを検出する対象物検出装置。
  5.  請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の対象物検出装置であって、
     前記検出器は、前記検出受信強度における最大値が予め定められた閾値未満である場合に、前記対象物が存在することを検出する対象物検出装置。
  6.  請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の対象物検出装置であって、
     前記検出器により前記対象物の存在が検出された場合に、前記車両の内に前記対象物が存在することを報知部(62)によって前記車両の外へ報知する報知器(50、S210)を備える対象物検出装置。
