Description

Saddle riding vehicle
The present invention relates to a straddle-type vehicle, and more particularly, to a straddle-type vehicle having an air cleaner structure capable of securing a capacity in a limited vehicle body space.
In a conventional saddle riding type vehicle, for example, as disclosed in Patent Document 1, a pair of left and right main frames that extend from the head pipe to the rear of the vehicle are slanted so as to form a straddle portion in front of the riding seat. Inclined downward. An air cleaner that requires a large installation space is arranged between the main frames substantially below the riding seat.
Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2006-088892
In the structure having a so-called straddle portion described in Patent Document 1, when an air cleaner is installed on the lower side of the riding seat, the capacity of the luggage box, a fuel tank, etc. installed under the riding seat can be increased. Can not. On the other hand, when the capacity of the luggage box or the fuel tank is increased, there is a problem that the capacity of the air cleaner cannot be increased. Although it is conceivable to place the air cleaner immediately behind the head pipe, it is difficult to increase the capacity of the air cleaner without increasing the width of the main frame.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a straddle-type vehicle having an air cleaner structure capable of increasing the capacity without increasing the width of the main frame.

Hereinafter, the structure of the air cleaner 50 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 1, the air cleaner 50 in the present embodiment includes a bulging portion 50 a that extends downward from the main frame 17 in a vehicle side view. Further, the bulging portion 50a is surrounded by the main frame 17, the cylinder 43 extending from the crankcase 42 of the internal combustion engine 40 to the front side of the vehicle, and the front fender 30 covering the upper side of the front wheel FW when viewed from the side of the vehicle. It is arranged in the main frame lower space MS.
As shown in FIG. 2, the bulging portion 50a extends in the left-right direction so as to overlap at least a part of the pair of left and right main frames 17 when viewed from above the vehicle (viewed from the direction of arrow A in FIG. Has been issued. As shown in FIG. 2, the air cleaner 50 according to the present embodiment has a configuration in which the bulging portion 50 a has an extending portion 50 at that greatly extends in the vehicle width direction beyond the main frame 17 in the vehicle left-right direction when viewed from above. ing. Therefore, the capacity of the air cleaner 50 can be further secured, and the area of the filter 52b (see FIGS. 3 and 5) can be increased.
As shown in FIG. 3, the air cleaner 50 according to the present embodiment includes a case main body 51 configured by a combination of a first case 51a on the front side and a second case 51b on the rear side. That is, the rear portion is located between the main frames 17, and the front portion of the second case 51b protrudes below the main frame 17, and the first case 51a is attached to the front portion of the second case 51b. And is configured as a bulging portion 50a. Further, in the state where the air cleaner 50 is attached, as shown in FIG. 3, the rear case rear portion 51r is provided to be inclined so that the upper end 50ru of the case rear portion 51r of the air cleaner 50 is It extends upward from the main frame 17 in a side view. Therefore, the air cleaner 50 is provided so as to protrude from the vertical direction of the main frame 17 in a side view.
This case body 51 is provided with an intake duct opening 51h for supplying outside air into the case body 51 in the second case 51b. Then, as shown in FIG. 4 with the left main frame 17 partially broken away, an intake duct 55 is connected to the intake duct opening 51h. Here, the intake duct 55 opens toward the rear of the vehicle, and the opening position is disposed between the pair of left and right main frames 17.
Further, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the case body 51 in the present embodiment is provided with a connecting tube opening 51 i in the second case 51 b so as to face the rear of the vehicle. At least a part of a connecting tube 46 that supplies intake air to the internal combustion engine 40 is connected to the connecting tube opening 51i so as to face the rear of the vehicle. This is because the throttle body 45 of the internal combustion engine 40 is disposed on the lower rear side of the case body 51, and the connecting tube 46 has a front portion (a portion on the side of the connecting tube opening 51i) extending toward the rear of the vehicle. The rear portion (the portion on the throttle body 45 side) extends toward the vehicle lower side. The connecting tube opening 51 i is at least partially disposed between the pair of left and right main frames 17, and the connecting tube 46 is partially disposed between the main frames 17.
Further, the connecting tube 46 of the present embodiment has a short configuration because the distance between the connecting tube opening 51i and the throttle body 45 is close.
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the case main body 51 of the present embodiment has a configuration in which the filter element 52 is positioned and combined between the first case 51a and the second case 51b. Here, the first case 51a is a lid-like member that constitutes the front half of the bulging portion 50a, and the lower side is wide in the downward direction in the vehicle side view and is open toward the rear (see FIG. 5). The opening edge 51ae is provided with a plurality of screw holes 51ah with appropriate spacing.
The second case 51b includes a front extension 51bf that extends forward from the main frame 17 so as to form the latter half of the bulge 50a corresponding to the opening edge 51ae of the first case 51a, and the front It has a rear extension 51br extending rearward with a width in the left-right direction smaller than that of the extension 51bf. The front extension portion 51bf is provided with a pair of left and right attachment portions 50ft that are fastened to a bracket 8 to be described later. In addition, the front extension 51bf is provided with a rearward bulge 51ba that bulges rearward above the rear extension 51br (see FIG. 6). In addition, a connecting tube opening 51i to which the connecting tube 46 is connected is formed in the rear portion of the rear extension portion 51br which is the case rear portion 51r of the case body 51.
Further, the rear extension 51br is formed with a right protrusion 51bc whose upper surface on the right is raised higher than the other parts. The right protrusion 51bc and the intake duct opening 51h are arranged in the vertical direction on the right side of the case body 51. Therefore, the right protruding portion 51bc can form a storage space when the front portion of the connecting tube 46 enters the case body 51 for a long time in a state where the connecting tube 46 is connected.
Further, on both the left and right sides of the rear extension 51br, frame-corresponding recesses 51fs that are recessed so as to receive the wide main frame 17 in the vertical direction are formed.
The filter element 52 has a partition wall 52a that partitions the first case 51a side and the second case 51b side, and a filter 52b that filters dust is provided in the partition wall 52a. In addition, a partition opening 52h is formed at a position corresponding to the rearwardly bulging portion 51ba of the second case 51b, and a space formed by the rearwardly bulging portion 51ba is on the first case 51a side as will be described later. It communicates with the space formed by.
Then, the first seal member 53a is disposed between the first case 51a and the filter element 52, and the second seal member 53b is disposed between the second case 51b and the filter element 52, and the cases are appropriately fastened and assembled. It has been. The first case 51 a forms a first space S <b> 1 that is a dirty room that communicates with the intake duct 55 that takes in outside air in front of the filter element 52. The second case 51b forms a second space S2, which is a clean room communicating with the connecting tube 46, on the rear side of the filter element 52 (see FIG. 5).
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the joint surface 51p between the first case 51a and the second case 51b is arranged as a large surface having an extended portion 50at on the bulged portion 50a and extending in the vehicle width direction. Has been. Then, as described above, the filter element 52 is sandwiched between the first case 51a and the second case 51b at the joint surface 51p, and as described above, the first space S1 on the front side and the second space S2 on the rear side It has a structure that separates.
In addition, the recessed part 51ad formed in the front surface of the 1st case 51a is a recessed structure corresponding to the bulging shape toward the back of the front fender 30. As shown in FIG. That is, by providing the recess 51ad, the front surface of the air cleaner 50 can be disposed close to the front fender 30, and the size of the main frame lower space MS can be used effectively.
Further, as described above, the second case 51b in the present embodiment is provided with the rearwardly bulging portion 51ba that is partitioned from the second space S2 and communicates with the first space S1 and bulges toward the rear of the vehicle. Yes. As shown in FIG. 6, the rearwardly bulging portion 51ba is provided with an intake duct opening 51h, and the intake duct 55 to which the intake duct 55 is attached is attached to the intake duct opening 51h. (See FIG. 3).
Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the intake duct opening 51h of the air cleaner 50 is provided offset to the left and right sides in the vehicle width direction (left direction in the present embodiment), and the connecting tube opening 51i is the other side. It is characterized by being offset. Therefore, the front and rear length of the air cleaner 50 can be shortened, and the space can be utilized. In the present embodiment, the connecting tube opening 51 i is offset to the same side as the throttle body 45. With this configuration, the connecting tube 46 can be easily handled, and the assemblability is good.
Further, as described above, the attachment portion 51 ft is provided on the case front portion 51 f of the case main body 51. A fastening hole 51bh into which the fastening bolt 81 can be inserted is provided in the mounting portion 51ft.
On the other hand, the bracket 8 is welded to the lower end surface of the main frame 17 as shown in FIG. In the bracket 8, a pair of left and right fixing pieces 8a each having a fixing hole through which the fastening bolt 81 can pass is extended downward corresponding to the attachment portion 51ft.
Then, the mounting portion 51 ft is fastened to the bracket 8 with a fastening bolt 81. A connecting tube 46 is connected to the case rear part 51r. Thus, the case main body 51 of the air cleaner 50 is fastened and supported by the bracket 8 at the front upper portion and is supported by the lower connecting tube 46 at the rear.
In the air cleaner 50 according to this embodiment, an upper surface wall 50us of the bulging portion 50a on the upper side of the bulging portion 50a has an ignition coil 70a and an intake sensor 70b on the right side of the bulging portion 50a as shown in FIG. An electrical component mounting portion 50d for mounting the electrical component 70 such as the above is provided.
As described above, in the present embodiment, the intake sensor is disposed, and in the drawing (see FIG. 2), the sensor (the intake sensor 70c on the left side of the upper surface) is provided on the upper and left sides of the bulging portion 50a. There is no problem even if it is placed on one side. Moreover, when arrange | positioning at the right side, the intake sensor 70b and the ignition coil 70a can be arrange | positioned on the same side, and wiring etc. can be put together on one side. If it is arranged on both the left and right sides, both the clean room (second space S2) and the dirty room (first space S1) of the air cleaner 50 can be detected by the sensor. In that case, different sensors may be arranged on the left and right. In other words, the right sensor can be arranged in the clean room on the rear side of the vehicle body, and the left sensor is inserted in the partition opening 52h formed in the filter element 52 and the detection unit is arranged in the dirty room on the front side of the vehicle body. , Can detect data in different situations.
These electrical components 70 are arranged at a position that does not overlap with the main frame 17 in the vehicle vertical direction, that is, at a position where it can be seen from above when the cover member is removed.
Further, as shown in FIG. 7, a guide piece 50g is provided on the lower side of the main frame 17 on the upper surface wall 50us of the bulging portion in the present embodiment. The guide piece 50 g extends toward the lower end surface 17 d of the main frame 17. That is, the guide piece 50g extending to the vicinity of the lower end surface 17d of the main frame 17 protrudes along the case side wall 51bw of the second case 51b.
Here, behind the air cleaner 50 and below the right main frame 17, a wire guide for fixing the bobbin 45b for rotating the throttle valve in the throttle body 45 and the throttle wire 21 connected to the bobbin 45b. 21g is provided. Therefore, the throttle wire 21 is routed between the wire guide 21g and the bar handle 3, but as shown in FIG. 8, for example, the throttle wire 21 is routed inside the guide piece 50g. . That is, the throttle wire 21 is routed so as to pass through a space surrounded by the guide piece 50g, the bulging portion upper surface wall 50us, the lower end surface 17d of the main frame 17 and the case side wall 51bw.
Further, a protruding wall 50j is also provided between the throttle wire 21 and the electrical component mounting portion 50d, and is configured to avoid interference of the throttle wire 21 with the electrical component 70.
Further, in the present embodiment, since the air cleaner 50 is provided on the main frame 17 of the front body frame 7, the space behind the vehicle body can be increased. Further, since the air cleaner 50 is configured to extend downward from the main frame 17 in a side view of the vehicle, the vehicle height can be kept low. Further, since the bulging portion 50a is provided with an extending portion 50at extending in the left-right direction so as to overlap at least a part of the main frame 17 in the vehicle vertical direction, the air cleaner capacity is increased. be able to.
As described above, in the present embodiment, at least a part of the intake duct 55 connected to the intake duct opening 51h is disposed between the pair of left and right main frames 17, so that the space between the main frames 17 is effective. Available to: In addition, since the intake duct opening 51h opens toward the rear of the vehicle and the intake duct 55 is disposed on the left and right of the main frame 17 and extends rearward of the vehicle, it is difficult to suck in dust or the like that the front wheel FW rolls up.
Further, in the present embodiment, since the connecting tube 46 and a part of the connecting tube opening 51i are disposed between the pair of left and right main frames 17, the space between the main frames 17 can be used effectively, and the rear of the vehicle body And an upper space can be secured. Further, since the connecting tube opening 51i is directed toward the rear of the vehicle, it is easy to extend the connecting tube 46 along the main frame 17 between the main frames 17. As a result, not only can the space between the main frames 17 be effectively utilized, but the connecting tube 46 can be effectively protected by the main frame 17.
In the present embodiment, the filter element 52 that separates the first space S1 that communicates with the intake duct 55 that takes in outside air and the second space S2 that communicates with the connecting tube 46 is disposed in the bulging portion 50a. It becomes easy to increase the filter area by enlarging the filter element 52.
In the present embodiment, the joint surface 51p between the first case 51a and the second case 51b is formed as a surface extending in the vehicle width direction in the bulging portion 50a, so that the joint surface 51p can be configured to be large. The filter element 52 arranged along the joint surface 51p can be enlarged. Moreover, the filter element 52 is easily fixed by sandwiching the filter element 52 at the joint surface 51p.
Further, in the present embodiment, the bulging portion 50 a is disposed in the main frame lower space MS surrounded by the cylinder 43 of the internal combustion engine 40, the main frame 17, and the front fender 30 in a vehicle side view. Thus, the space behind the front fender 30 and above the cylinder can be utilized under the main frame 17. Furthermore, since the air cleaner 50 is disposed in the vicinity of the cylinder 43, the intake path from the air cleaner 50 to the cylinder 43 can be shortened, and intake can be performed smoothly.
In the present embodiment, the second case 51b is provided with a rearwardly bulging portion 51ba that is partitioned from the second space S2 and communicates with the first space S1 and bulges toward the rear of the vehicle. The first space S1 can be enlarged by the structure on the second case 51b side. Further, since the intake duct opening 51h is provided in the second case 51b, the connection between the connecting tube 46 and the intake duct 55 can be concentrated on the second case 51b side. As a result, there is no connection of tubes or the like to the first case 51a, the first case 51a can be easily attached and detached, and the maintainability can be improved.
In the present embodiment, the air cleaner 50 has the mounting portion 51 ft provided on the case front portion 51 f fastened and supported by the bracket 8 provided on the front portion of the main frame 17, and the case rear portion 51 r attached to the connecting tube 46. By being connected and supported, the rear side can have a support structure that does not depend on the fixing member, and the air cleaner 50 can be supported with fewer parts.
In the present embodiment, since the mounting portion 51ft is provided in the second case 51b, the air cleaner 50 is fixed only on the second case 51b side, so the first case 51a is attached to the second case 51b. On the other hand, it can be set as the structure which can be attached or detached easily. As a result, the air cleaner 50 can be easily opened and closed, and the maintainability can be improved.
Further, in the present embodiment, since the electrical component mounting portion 50d for attaching the electrical component 70 is provided on the bulging portion upper surface wall 50us of the bulging portion 50a, the space of the bulging portion upper surface wall 50us is effectively used. it can. Further, by providing the electrical component 70 at a position that does not overlap with the main frame 17 in the vehicle vertical direction, the installation space in the vertical direction can be suppressed. Furthermore, since it does not overlap with the main frame 17 in the vertical direction, it is possible to provide an easily accessible structure in the maintenance of the electrical component 70.
In the present embodiment, a guide piece 50g extending to the vicinity of the lower end surface 17d of the main frame 17 is provided on the upper surface wall 50us of the bulging portion, and the case side surface of the rear extending portion 51br extending rearward of the bulging portion 50a. By projecting along the wall 51bw, a space surrounding the four sides can be formed by the bulging portion upper surface wall 50us, the case side wall 51bw, the guide piece 50g, and the main frame 17. Therefore, it is possible to form a holding structure that surrounds wires such as a throttle wire so as not to come off in this space. Moreover, this holding structure can be configured without increasing the number of parts only by changing the protruding shape of the guide piece 50g.
In the present embodiment, since the upper end 50ru of the air cleaner 50 extends upward from the main frame 17 in a side view, the capacity of the air cleaner 50 can be increased.
(Second Embodiment)
Hereinafter, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 9 and 10.
In the air cleaner 50 of the second embodiment, description of the same structure as that of the first embodiment is omitted, and a structure different from that of the first embodiment and its peripheral structure will be described. FIG. 9 is a perspective view of the resonator and the piping structure in the second embodiment, and FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the inside of the air cleaner as viewed from the front lower side of the vehicle (in the direction of arrow B in FIG. 1).
As shown in FIG. 9, the connecting tube 46 includes a case outer tube portion 46 a disposed outside the case body 51 and a case inner tube portion 46 b disposed within the case body 51. The case outer pipe portion 46a extends rearward and downward in the vehicle, is connected to the throttle body 45 at the rear end portion 46r, and the front end portion 46t is connected to the connecting tube opening 51i.
On the other hand, the case inner pipe portion 46b has a shape that meanders in the case and has a long piping length, and forms a funnel portion 46c whose tip is slightly widened toward the front and the bottom of the vehicle (toward the filter element side). It is open. A resonator 54 is connected to the case inner tube portion 46b. In the resonator 54, a space communicating with the connecting tube 46 via the communication portion 54 a is formed as a space different from the internal space of the air cleaner 50.
The resonator 54 is provided with a resonator mounting portion 54g on the side opposite to the communication portion 54a as necessary. The resonator is mounted using a resonator mounting hole 54gh provided in the resonator mounting portion 54g. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, the resonator 54 is fixed by a fixing screw 83 penetrating the resonator mounting hole 54gh in a state where the resonator 54 is fitted in a predetermined position in the case. Further, the case inner tube portion 46b is appropriately fixed in the case by, for example, fixing screws 83 penetrating the attachment holes 46gh of the tube portion attachment portions 46g provided at two places.
Here, the place where the resonator 54 is attached is installed so as to be fitted to the rear side of the right protruding portion 51bc of the second case 51b. That is, since the shape of the right and left side wall surfaces and the rear wall surface of the right protruding portion 51bc is the same shape as a part of the resonator 54, the resonator 54 is the rear wall surface of the second case 51b, that is, the right side of the case rear portion 51r. It is attached so as to be in contact with the inside of the protruding portion 51bc (see FIG. 6). Accordingly, the resonator 54 is located at least partially between the main frames 17 in a vehicle side view.
As described above, in the present embodiment, the resonator 54 connected to the connecting tube 46 is disposed in the case main body 51, so that a fastening member for the resonator is not required, and at the time of incorporation into the vehicle body. It can be temporarily assembled in the cleaner case and incorporated together with the air cleaner 50. Further, since the resonator 54 is located at least partially between the main frames 17 in a side view of the vehicle, the protection function of the resonator 54 is enhanced along with effective use of space.
Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the bulging portion 50a has a structure that projects to the left and right sides of the main frame 17, but for example, the main frame The case main body 51 can be appropriately changed to a shape that the main frame lower space MS allows, such as a shape that does not protrude from the shape 17 and that extends greatly in the vertical direction. Further, the guide piece 50g is provided on the right side and provided on the left side, and can be used for wiring the wire harness 11 and the like.
Moreover, although the motorcycle has been described in the above embodiment, the present invention may be a straddle-type vehicle such as another buggy.
