Abstract

La présente invention vise à fournir un procédé de fabrication d'un substrat en verre qui est apte à améliorer de façon efficace la propreté des surfaces du substrat en verre. Ce procédé de fabrication d'un substrat en verre comprend : une étape de coupe consistant à découper le substrat en verre ; une étape d'usinage des bords consistant à usiner les bords de coupe qui sont des surfaces découpées du substrat en verre découpé à l'étape de coupe ; et une étape de traitement de surface consistant à traiter la surface principale du substrat en verre découpé à l'étape de coupe. Dans l'étape d'usinage des bords, la forme des bords de coupe est usinée tandis qu'un fluide de meulage est alimenté vers les bords coupés. À l'étape de traitement de surface, une solution alcaline d'un pH inférieur à 10 est appliquée sur la surface principale, et l'étape de traitement de surface est effectuée en même temps que l'étape d'usinage des bords.
