Abstract
優れた防汚性を低コストで付与することができるガラス物品の提供。 板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成されたガラス物品であって、前記酸化スズ膜は、膜厚が10nm以上、150nm以下であり、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm以上、13nm以下であり、膜表面のPeak-valley値(PV値)と、前記Raと、の比(PV/Ra)が15以下である、ことを特徴とするガラス物品。
Description
本発明は、ガラス物品に関する。
本発明のガラス物品は、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、所定の厚さ、および、所定の表面性状を有する酸化スズ膜を設けたものである。
本発明のガラス物品は、酸化スズ膜を設けた側の主表面が防汚性に優れるため、過酷な環境下で使用される住宅用窓ガラスや、透光性を付与した公共施設等の屋根や高速道路遮音壁等に使用される建築用防汚ガラスに好適である。
本発明のガラス物品は、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、所定の厚さ、および、所定の表面性状を有する酸化スズ膜を設けたものである。
本発明のガラス物品は、酸化スズ膜を設けた側の主表面が防汚性に優れるため、過酷な環境下で使用される住宅用窓ガラスや、透光性を付与した公共施設等の屋根や高速道路遮音壁等に使用される建築用防汚ガラスに好適である。
板ガラス等のガラス基材表面に撥水性、撥油性を付与した防汚性ガラス物品が知られている(特許文献1参照)。特許文献1に記載の防汚性ガラス物品は、ガラス基材表面に、2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜を形成し、該透明導電膜上にオルガノシランおよび/またはオルガノシロキサンの層が形成したものである。2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜としては、酸化錫膜が挙げられている。特許文献1に記載の防汚性ガラス物品では、オルガノシランおよび/またはオルガノシロキサンの層が撥水性、撥油性を発揮する。一方、2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜が、ホコリの付着の原因となる静電気の発生を防止する。
しかしながら、特許文献1に記載の防汚性ガラス物品は、ガラス基材表面に2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜を形成する工程と、該透明導電膜上にオルガノシランおよび/またはオルガノシロキサンの層を形成する工程と、が必要になるため、低コスト化が困難である。
また、特許文献1に記載の防汚性ガラス物品は、オルガノシランおよび/またはオルガノシロキサンからなる撥水剤で、2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜が形成されたガラス基材表面を処理することにより防汚層を形成するため、耐久性、耐候性が十分ではなく、時間の経過により防汚層が剥離し、長期にわたって防汚性を発揮することができない。
しかしながら、特許文献1に記載の防汚性ガラス物品は、ガラス基材表面に2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜を形成する工程と、該透明導電膜上にオルガノシランおよび/またはオルガノシロキサンの層を形成する工程と、が必要になるため、低コスト化が困難である。
また、特許文献1に記載の防汚性ガラス物品は、オルガノシランおよび/またはオルガノシロキサンからなる撥水剤で、2MΩ/□以下の電気抵抗を有する透明導電膜が形成されたガラス基材表面を処理することにより防汚層を形成するため、耐久性、耐候性が十分ではなく、時間の経過により防汚層が剥離し、長期にわたって防汚性を発揮することができない。
一方、板ガラス等の板状基体表面に、防汚性を付与する目的で超親水性の皮膜を形成する試みもなされている。超親水性皮膜としては触媒機能を有する酸化チタン皮膜が広く知られている。
しかしながら、酸化チタン系の超親水性皮膜は、酸化チタンの光触媒作用を利用しているため日光の当たらない場所又は夜間等にあっては防汚性が発揮できないという短所がある。また、初期段階では防汚性を発揮するものの、酸化チタンの触媒機能の低下により、防汚性が損なわれるという短所がある。
しかしながら、酸化チタン系の超親水性皮膜は、酸化チタンの光触媒作用を利用しているため日光の当たらない場所又は夜間等にあっては防汚性が発揮できないという短所がある。また、初期段階では防汚性を発揮するものの、酸化チタンの触媒機能の低下により、防汚性が損なわれるという短所がある。
防汚性を付与する目的で超親水性の皮膜を形成する別の試みとしては、シリカ微粒子を含有する塗布液に用いて、板ガラス等の板状基体表面をコーティングする試みがある(特許文献2~4参照)。
しかしながら、これらのコーティングは、防汚性が十分ではなかった。

本発明は、上述した従来技術における問題点を解決するため、優れた防汚性を低コストで付与することができるガラス物品の提供を目的とする。
上記した目的を達成するため、本発明は、板ガラスの少なくとも一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成されたガラス物品であって、前記酸化スズ膜は、
膜厚が10nm以上、150nm以下であり、
膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm以上、13nm以下であり、
膜表面のPeak-valley値(PV値)と、前記Raと、の比(PV/Ra)が15以下である、ことを特徴とするガラス物品、を提供する。
なお、本発明において、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaおよびPeak-valley値(PV値)は、JIS規格のJIS B0601:2001に規定された定義に基づくものである。又、後記する最大高さ粗さRzも同規格の定義に基づくものである。
膜厚が10nm以上、150nm以下であり、

なお、本発明において、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaおよびPeak-valley値(PV値)は、JIS規格のJIS B0601:2001に規定された定義に基づくものである。又、後記する最大高さ粗さRzも同規格の定義に基づくものである。
本発明のガラス物品において、前記板ガラスと、前記酸化スズ膜と、の間に、アルカリバリア層が形成されていることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、JIS試験用粉体(2種)(JIS Z8901)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%以下であることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下であることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、前記酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合の遮蔽係数(SC値)(ISO9050)が0.6~0.95であることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、前記酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合の可視光線透過率(ISO9050)が40~80%であることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、前記アルカリバリア層がSiO2からなり、当該アルカリバリア層の膜厚が20~50nmであることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、JIS試験用粉体(2種)(JIS Z8901)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が1%以下であることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下であることが好ましい。
また、本発明のガラス物品は、前記酸化スズ膜の膜厚が100nm以下であることが好ましい。
また、本発明のガラス物品は、前記酸化スズ膜の膜厚が100nm以下であることが好ましい。
本発明によれば、過酷な環境下で使用される住宅用窓ガラスや、透光性を付与した公共施設等の屋根や高速道路遮音壁等に使用される建築用防汚ガラスとして用いられるガラス物品に対し、優れた防汚性を低コストで付与することができる。
以下、本発明のガラス物品について説明する。
本発明のガラス物品では、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に(具体的には、主表面上の最表面に、例えば各種建築物、構築物の屋外側の板ガラスの主表面に、)、後述する条件を満たす酸化スズ膜が形成されている。本発明のガラス物品は、酸化スズ膜を設けた側の主表面が防汚性に優れるため、過酷な環境下で使用される住宅用窓ガラスや、透光性を付与した公共施設等の屋根や高速道路遮音壁等に使用される建築用防汚ガラスに好適である。なお、必要に応じて板ガラスの他方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成してもよい。

本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜は、膜厚が10nm以上、150nm以下である。
酸化スズ膜の膜厚が10nm未満であると、膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPeak-valley値(PV値)と前記Raとの比(PV/Ra)が後述する条件を満たさないため、酸化スズ膜形成による防汚性が不十分になる。
住宅用窓ガラスとして使用されるLow-E(低放射)ガラスでは、放射率を低くして、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくすることにより、断熱性を向上させる目的で、窓ガラスの室内側の主表面上に酸化スズ等、体積抵抗率が小さい金属酸化物の薄膜が形成されている。酸化スズ膜の場合、その放射率を小さくするため、膜厚は、150nmを超えている。
本発明のガラス物品では、板ガラスの主表面上に形成された酸化スズ膜は、防汚性を発揮するため、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が屋外側となる。本発明のガラス物品において、酸化スズ膜の膜厚が150nm超であると、酸化スズ膜の放射率が小さくなるので、住宅用窓ガラスや公共施設等の屋根として使用すると、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくなることにより、かえって遮熱性が悪化するため問題となる。
また、酸化スズ膜の膜厚が150nm超であると、ヘイズ値が増加して外観が悪化するので問題となる。
また、常圧CVD装置を用いて酸化スズ膜を形成する場合に、スズ原料として好ましく用いられるモノブチルトリクロライド(MBTC)やその他の有機スズ原料は、比較的高価であるため、酸化スズ膜の膜厚が150nm超であると、酸化スズ膜の形成時に使用する原料の増加によるコスト増も問題となる。
本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜の膜厚は、20nm以上、150nm以下であることが好ましく、30nm以上、100nm以下であることがさらに好ましく、40nm以上、95nm以下であることが特に好ましい。
酸化スズ膜の膜厚が10nm未満であると、膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPeak-valley値(PV値)と前記Raとの比(PV/Ra)が後述する条件を満たさないため、酸化スズ膜形成による防汚性が不十分になる。
住宅用窓ガラスとして使用されるLow-E(低放射)ガラスでは、放射率を低くして、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくすることにより、断熱性を向上させる目的で、窓ガラスの室内側の主表面上に酸化スズ等、体積抵抗率が小さい金属酸化物の薄膜が形成されている。酸化スズ膜の場合、その放射率を小さくするため、膜厚は、150nmを超えている。
本発明のガラス物品では、板ガラスの主表面上に形成された酸化スズ膜は、防汚性を発揮するため、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が屋外側となる。本発明のガラス物品において、酸化スズ膜の膜厚が150nm超であると、酸化スズ膜の放射率が小さくなるので、住宅用窓ガラスや公共施設等の屋根として使用すると、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくなることにより、かえって遮熱性が悪化するため問題となる。
また、酸化スズ膜の膜厚が150nm超であると、ヘイズ値が増加して外観が悪化するので問題となる。

本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜の膜厚は、20nm以上、150nm以下であることが好ましく、30nm以上、100nm以下であることがさらに好ましく、40nm以上、95nm以下であることが特に好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜は、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm以上、13nm以下である。膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが上記範囲であると、膜表面に適度に凹凸が存在するため、酸化スズ膜を設けた側の主表面が防汚性に優れる。膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm未満であると、膜表面に凹凸がほとんど存在せず、平滑な状態になるため、防汚性が不十分になる。
一方、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが13nm超であると、膜表面の凹凸が大きくなるため、ヘイズ値の増加による外観の悪化や、光線透過率の低下が問題となる。
本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜は、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm以上、12nm以下であることが好ましく、2nm以上、8nm以下であることがより好ましい。
一方、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが13nm超であると、膜表面の凹凸が大きくなるため、ヘイズ値の増加による外観の悪化や、光線透過率の低下が問題となる。
本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜は、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm以上、12nm以下であることが好ましく、2nm以上、8nm以下であることがより好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品において、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜は、膜表面のPeak-valley値(PV値)と、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaと、の比(PV/Ra)が15以下である。膜表面のPV値とRaとの比(PV/Ra)が上記範囲であると、膜表面に適度に凹凸が存在するため、酸化スズ膜を設けた側の主表面が防汚性に優れる。膜表面のPV値とRaとの比(PV/Ra)が15超の場合、空孔が存在する膜となり、かつ、空孔以外の膜表面は、凹凸がほとんど存在せず、平滑な状態になると考えられる。酸化スズ膜の表面性状がこのような場合、防汚性が不十分になる。
本発明のガラス物品において、酸化スズ膜が形成される板ガラスの主表面は、汚れ付着性及び汚れ除去性の観点から最大高さ粗さRzが70nm未満であることが好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、板ガラスの主表面のうち、膜厚、膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値と前記Raとの比(PV/Ra)が上述した条件を満たす酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が防汚性に優れている。
本明細書では、後述する実施例に記載する、2種類の汚れ付着試験実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化によって防汚性を評価する。
本発明のガラス物品は、その酸化スズ膜側におけるJIS試験用粉体(2種)(JIS Z8901)を用いた汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%以下であることが好ましく、2%以下であることがより好ましく、1%以下であることがさらに好ましい。なお、上記汚れ付着試験(1)は、ガラス物品の酸化スズ膜側において行なう。
また、本発明のガラス物品は、その酸化スズ膜側における汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を用いた汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下であることが好ましく、4%以下であることがより好ましく、3%以下であることがさらに好ましい。なお、上記汚れ付着試験(2)は、ガラス物品の酸化スズ膜側において行なう。
本発明のガラス物品は、板ガラスの主表面のうち、膜厚、膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値と前記Raとの比(PV/Ra)が上述した条件を満たす酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が防汚性に優れている。
本明細書では、後述する実施例に記載する、2種類の汚れ付着試験実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化によって防汚性を評価する。
本発明のガラス物品は、その酸化スズ膜側におけるJIS試験用粉体(2種)(JIS Z8901)を用いた汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%以下であることが好ましく、2%以下であることがより好ましく、1%以下であることがさらに好ましい。なお、上記汚れ付着試験(1)は、ガラス物品の酸化スズ膜側において行なう。
また、本発明のガラス物品は、その酸化スズ膜側における汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を用いた汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下であることが好ましく、4%以下であることがより好ましく、3%以下であることがさらに好ましい。なお、上記汚れ付着試験(2)は、ガラス物品の酸化スズ膜側において行なう。
本発明のガラス物品は、板ガラス一方の主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜の膜厚が、Low-E(低放射)ガラスの主表面上に形成される酸化スズ膜の膜厚に比べて小さいため、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面を屋外側として、住宅用窓ガラスや公共施設等の屋根として使用しても、酸化スズ膜の放射率が小さくなることがなく、放射伝熱による熱移動量が少なくなることにより、かえって遮熱性が悪化することがない。
放射率は、0.75以上であることが好ましく、0.8以上であることがより好ましく、0.85以上であることがさらに好ましい。室外面に放射率の低い膜が形成された場合、ガラスの吸収した熱が室内側に反射されてしまい、遮熱性能が悪化する。放射率の高い膜が形成された場合、ガラスの吸収した熱が反射されないので、遮熱性能は悪化しない。
本明細書では、断熱性の指標として、ISO9050に基づいて算出される遮蔽係数(SC値)を用いる。以下、本明細書において、SC値と記載した場合、ISO9050に基づいて算出される遮蔽係数を指す。
本発明のガラス物品は、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合のSC値が0.6~0.95であることが好ましく、0.6~0.8であることがより好ましく、0.6~0.7であることがさらに好ましい。
なお、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合のSC値を上記の範囲内で調節する目的で、ドーパントとして、アンチモンを酸化スズ膜中に含有させてもよい。ドーパントとして、アンチモンを酸化スズ膜中に含有させる場合、酸化スズ(SnO2)1molに対して、アンチモンを0.02~0.3mol%含有することが好ましく、0.05~0.2mol%含有することがより好ましく、0.1~0.15mol%含有することがさらに好ましい。
放射率は、0.75以上であることが好ましく、0.8以上であることがより好ましく、0.85以上であることがさらに好ましい。室外面に放射率の低い膜が形成された場合、ガラスの吸収した熱が室内側に反射されてしまい、遮熱性能が悪化する。放射率の高い膜が形成された場合、ガラスの吸収した熱が反射されないので、遮熱性能は悪化しない。
本明細書では、断熱性の指標として、ISO9050に基づいて算出される遮蔽係数(SC値)を用いる。以下、本明細書において、SC値と記載した場合、ISO9050に基づいて算出される遮蔽係数を指す。
本発明のガラス物品は、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合のSC値が0.6~0.95であることが好ましく、0.6~0.8であることがより好ましく、0.6~0.7であることがさらに好ましい。
なお、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合のSC値を上記の範囲内で調節する目的で、ドーパントとして、アンチモンを酸化スズ膜中に含有させてもよい。ドーパントとして、アンチモンを酸化スズ膜中に含有させる場合、酸化スズ(SnO2)1molに対して、アンチモンを0.02~0.3mol%含有することが好ましく、0.05~0.2mol%含有することがより好ましく、0.1~0.15mol%含有することがさらに好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品は、住宅用窓ガラスや公共施設等の屋根として使用するのに十分な可視光透過性を有する。具体的には、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合に、ISO9050に基づいて算出される可視光線透過率が40~80%であることが好ましく、50~70%であることがより好ましく、60~70%であることがさらに好ましい。
住宅用窓ガラスや公共施設等の屋根として使用する場合、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合のヘイズ値が低いことが好ましい。具体的には、ヘイズ値が1.0以下であることが好ましく、0.6以下であることがより好ましく、0.4以下であることがさらに好ましい。
住宅用窓ガラスや公共施設等の屋根として使用する場合、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合のヘイズ値が低いことが好ましい。具体的には、ヘイズ値が1.0以下であることが好ましく、0.6以下であることがより好ましく、0.4以下であることがさらに好ましい。
本発明のガラス物品に用いる板ガラスのガラス組成は、特に限定されず、ガラス物品の用途に応じて適宜選択することができる。過酷な環境下で使用される住宅用窓ガラスや、透光性を付与した公共施設等の屋根や高速道路遮音壁等に使用される建築用防汚ガラスとして使用する場合、以下のガラス組成が例示できる。
酸化物基準の質量%表示で、ガラス母組成として、
SiO2 68~75%、
Al2O3 0.1~7%、
CaO 6~11%、
MgO 2~7%、
Na2O 10~16%、
K2O 0.1~3%、
Fe2O3 0.01~0.2%、
SO3 0~1%、
を含有する。
なお、ガラス母組成が上記の板ガラスは、微量成分として、上記以外の成分を含有してもよい。このような微量成分の具体例としては、たとえば、TiO2、CeO2が挙げられる。これら微量成分は、酸化物基準の質量%表示で、1%以下含有してもよい。
酸化物基準の質量%表示で、ガラス母組成として、
SiO2 68~75%、
Al2O3 0.1~7%、
CaO 6~11%、
MgO 2~7%、
Na2O 10~16%、
K2O 0.1~3%、
Fe2O3 0.01~0.2%、

を含有する。
なお、ガラス母組成が上記の板ガラスは、微量成分として、上記以外の成分を含有してもよい。このような微量成分の具体例としては、たとえば、TiO2、CeO2が挙げられる。これら微量成分は、酸化物基準の質量%表示で、1%以下含有してもよい。
本発明のガラス物品に用いる板ガラスが、アルカリ成分を含有する場合、板ガラスから酸化スズ膜へのアルカリ成分の拡散を最小限にするために、板ガラスと、酸化スズ膜と、の間にアルカリバリア膜を形成することが、防汚性が向上するため好ましい。
上記の目的で形成するアルカリバリア膜としては、SiO2膜、または、SiOC膜が挙げられる。中でも、SiO2膜がアルカリバリア性に優れるため好ましい。
上記の目的でアルカリバリア膜を形成する場合、その膜厚が10~100nmであることが好ましく、20~50nmであることがより好ましく、20~40nmであることがさらに好ましい。
上記の目的で形成するアルカリバリア膜としては、SiO2膜、または、SiOC膜が挙げられる。中でも、SiO2膜がアルカリバリア性に優れるため好ましい。
上記の目的でアルカリバリア膜を形成する場合、その膜厚が10~100nmであることが好ましく、20~50nmであることがより好ましく、20~40nmであることがさらに好ましい。
膜厚、膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値と前記Raとの比(PV/Ra)が上述した条件を満たす酸化スズ膜は、常圧CVD装置を用いて、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に形成することができる。常圧CVD装置としては、搬送型常圧CVD装置の使用が、本発明のガラス物品を量産的に製造するのに適しているため好ましい。
なお、常圧CVD装置を用いた酸化スズ膜の形成は、板ガラスの製造に引き続いて酸化スズ膜の形成を行うオンラインCVDとして実施してもよく、板ガラスの製造とは別個の工程で酸化スズ膜の形成を行うオフラインCVD法として実施してもよい。
なお、常圧CVD装置を用いた酸化スズ膜の形成は、板ガラスの製造に引き続いて酸化スズ膜の形成を行うオンラインCVDとして実施してもよく、板ガラスの製造とは別個の工程で酸化スズ膜の形成を行うオフラインCVD法として実施してもよい。
常圧CVD装置を用いて、酸化スズ膜を形成する場合、高温(例えば、550℃)に加熱した板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、スズ原料を含有する原料ガスを吹き付ける。スズ原料としては、モノブチルスズトリクロライド(MBTC)の使用が、入手しやすく、取り扱いが容易であるという理由から好ましい。
スズ原料としては、モノブチルスズトリクロライド(MBTC)を使用する場合、副原料として、水(H2O)、および、酸素(O2)を同時に板ガラスの一方の主表面上に吹き付ける。酸化スズ膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値を調節する目的で、副原料として、塩化水素(HCl)を同時に吹き付けてもよい。
スズ原料としては、モノブチルスズトリクロライド(MBTC)を使用する場合、原料ガス中のMBTC含有量は、2モル%以下であることが好ましい。副原料として使用するH2O、O2、HClについて、原料ガス中のMBTCに対するH2O含有量は、20モル%以下であることが好ましく、同様に原料ガス中のMBTCに対するO2含有量は、20モル%以下であることが好ましく、また原料ガス中のMBTCに対するHCl含有量は、1.5モル%以下であることが好ましい。
酸化スズ膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値は、原料ガスにおけるHClと、MBTCと、のモル比や、原料ガスにおけるH2Oと、MBTCと、のモル比により調節できる。原料ガスにおけるHClと、MBTCと、のモル比(HCl/MBTC)は、0~4であることが好ましく、0.01~3であることがより好ましく、0.01~2であることがさらに好ましい。原料ガスにおけるH2Oと、MBTCと、のモル比(H2O/MBTC)は、0.1~100であることが好ましく、1~70であることがより好ましく、10~60であることがさらに好ましい。
また、原料ガスにおけるO2と、MBTCと、のモル比(O2/MBTC)は、1~100であることが好ましく、5~70であることがより好ましく、10~50であることがさらに好ましい。
スズ原料としては、モノブチルスズトリクロライド(MBTC)を使用する場合、副原料として、水(H2O)、および、酸素(O2)を同時に板ガラスの一方の主表面上に吹き付ける。酸化スズ膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値を調節する目的で、副原料として、塩化水素(HCl)を同時に吹き付けてもよい。
スズ原料としては、モノブチルスズトリクロライド(MBTC)を使用する場合、原料ガス中のMBTC含有量は、2モル%以下であることが好ましい。副原料として使用するH2O、O2、HClについて、原料ガス中のMBTCに対するH2O含有量は、20モル%以下であることが好ましく、同様に原料ガス中のMBTCに対するO2含有量は、20モル%以下であることが好ましく、また原料ガス中のMBTCに対するHCl含有量は、1.5モル%以下であることが好ましい。
酸化スズ膜表面の算術平均粗さRa、および、膜表面のPV値は、原料ガスにおけるHClと、MBTCと、のモル比や、原料ガスにおけるH2Oと、MBTCと、のモル比により調節できる。原料ガスにおけるHClと、MBTCと、のモル比(HCl/MBTC)は、0~4であることが好ましく、0.01~3であることがより好ましく、0.01~2であることがさらに好ましい。原料ガスにおけるH2Oと、MBTCと、のモル比(H2O/MBTC)は、0.1~100であることが好ましく、1~70であることがより好ましく、10~60であることがさらに好ましい。
また、原料ガスにおけるO2と、MBTCと、のモル比(O2/MBTC)は、1~100であることが好ましく、5~70であることがより好ましく、10~50であることがさらに好ましい。
以下、実施例により本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明は、これらに限定されない。なお、例1~12は、実施例であり、例13~例19は、比較例である。
各例のサンプルについて、SnO2膜の有無、SnO2膜の膜厚、表面のRa、PV、PV/Ra、汚れ付着試験(1)結果、汚れ付着試験(2)結果、放射率の測定結果のそれぞれについて、表1に示した。なお、汚れ付着試験(2)については、例7~13および18についての試験結果である。また、表1において、汚れ付着試験(1)結果については、試験(1)前後の変化として、また汚れ付着試験(2)結果については、試験(2)後の値として表記している。
(例1)
搬送型常圧CVD装置(ベルトコンべア炉)を用いて、オフラインCVD法により、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成した。具体的には以下の通りである。
ベルトコンべア炉を580℃に加熱し、板厚2mmの板ガラス(ソーダライムシリケートガラス板、商品名AS、旭硝子株式会社製)を一定方向に搬送し、この板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、MBTC、H2O、および、O2を同時に吹き付けて、酸化スズ膜93nmを形成した。MBTCの供給量は、0.23モル%であり、H2O、および、O2は、それぞれ、MBTCに対するモル比(H2O/MBTC、O2/MBTC)が、20.01、17.95である。
形成した酸化スズ膜表面を、原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)SPI-3800N/SPA400(エスアイアイ・ナノテクノロジー株式会社製)を用いて、操作エリア2.0μm、加振電圧0.5Vで測定して、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を求めた。
酸化スズ膜形成後の板ガラスを5cm×5cmにカットした後、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側として、ヘイズメータHZ-V3(スガ試験機株式会社製)を用いてヘイズ値(初期ヘイズ値)を測定した後、このサンプルを用いて、汚れ付着試験(1)を実施した。
各例のサンプルについて、SnO2膜の有無、SnO2膜の膜厚、表面のRa、PV、PV/Ra、汚れ付着試験(1)結果、汚れ付着試験(2)結果、放射率の測定結果のそれぞれについて、表1に示した。なお、汚れ付着試験(2)については、例7~13および18についての試験結果である。また、表1において、汚れ付着試験(1)結果については、試験(1)前後の変化として、また汚れ付着試験(2)結果については、試験(2)後の値として表記している。
(例1)
搬送型常圧CVD装置(ベルトコンべア炉)を用いて、オフラインCVD法により、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成した。具体的には以下の通りである。
ベルトコンべア炉を580℃に加熱し、板厚2mmの板ガラス(ソーダライムシリケートガラス板、商品名AS、旭硝子株式会社製)を一定方向に搬送し、この板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、MBTC、H2O、および、O2を同時に吹き付けて、酸化スズ膜93nmを形成した。MBTCの供給量は、0.23モル%であり、H2O、および、O2は、それぞれ、MBTCに対するモル比(H2O/MBTC、O2/MBTC)が、20.01、17.95である。
形成した酸化スズ膜表面を、原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)SPI-3800N/SPA400(エスアイアイ・ナノテクノロジー株式会社製)を用いて、操作エリア2.0μm、加振電圧0.5Vで測定して、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を求めた。
酸化スズ膜形成後の板ガラスを5cm×5cmにカットした後、酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側として、ヘイズメータHZ-V3(スガ試験機株式会社製)を用いてヘイズ値(初期ヘイズ値)を測定した後、このサンプルを用いて、汚れ付着試験(1)を実施した。
≪汚れ付着試験(1)≫
酸化スズ膜が形成された面に、JIS試験粉体1(JIS Z8901)の2種0.5gを、茶漉しを使用して、均等に振りかけた。10秒静置後、サンプルを135°傾け、3cmの高さからサンプルの端部を10cm/秒の速度で2回地面に接触させ、粉体を落とし、再度ヘイズ値を測定した。これを10回繰り返し、8、9、10回目のヘイズ値を平均した値から初期ヘイズ値を引いた値を、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)とした。
酸化スズ膜が形成された面に、JIS試験粉体1(JIS Z8901)の2種0.5gを、茶漉しを使用して、均等に振りかけた。10秒静置後、サンプルを135°傾け、3cmの高さからサンプルの端部を10cm/秒の速度で2回地面に接触させ、粉体を落とし、再度ヘイズ値を測定した。これを10回繰り返し、8、9、10回目のヘイズ値を平均した値から初期ヘイズ値を引いた値を、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)とした。
また、酸化スズ膜形成後の板ガラスについて、以下の手順で放射率を求めた。
放射率測定器TSS-5X(ジャパンセンサー株式会社製)を使用し、酸化スズ膜表面にプローブを当てて放射率を測定した。
この手順で得られる放射率は、Low-Eガラスの断熱性を指標として用いられるものである。酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が、室内側となるLow-Eガラスの場合、放射率が小さいほど、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくなることにより、断熱性を向上する。しかしながら、本発明のガラス物品では、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が屋外側となるため、放射率が小さいと、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくなることにより、かえって遮熱性が悪化する。
放射率測定器TSS-5X(ジャパンセンサー株式会社製)を使用し、酸化スズ膜表面にプローブを当てて放射率を測定した。
この手順で得られる放射率は、Low-Eガラスの断熱性を指標として用いられるものである。酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が、室内側となるLow-Eガラスの場合、放射率が小さいほど、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくなることにより、断熱性を向上する。しかしながら、本発明のガラス物品では、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面が屋外側となるため、放射率が小さいと、放射伝熱による熱移動量を少なくなることにより、かえって遮熱性が悪化する。
(例2)
板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、下記の通りにSiO2膜を形成し、また酸化スズ膜90nmを形成した以外は、例1と同様の手順を実施した。
ベルトコンべア炉を580℃に加熱し、板ガラス(ソーダライムシリケートガラス板、商品名AS、旭硝子株式会社製)を一定方向に搬送し、この板ガラスの一方の主表面に、シラン(SiH4)、および、O2を同時に吹き付けて、SiO2膜30nmを形成した。
板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、下記の通りにSiO2膜を形成し、また酸化スズ膜90nmを形成した以外は、例1と同様の手順を実施した。
ベルトコンべア炉を580℃に加熱し、板ガラス(ソーダライムシリケートガラス板、商品名AS、旭硝子株式会社製)を一定方向に搬送し、この板ガラスの一方の主表面に、シラン(SiH4)、および、O2を同時に吹き付けて、SiO2膜30nmを形成した。
(例3)
酸化スズ膜の形成時に、MBTC、H2O、およびO2に加えて、HClを同時に吹き付け、酸化スズ膜90nmを形成した以外は、例1と同様の手順を実施した。
MBTCの供給量は、0.23モル%であり、H2O、HCl、および、O2は、それぞれ、MBTCに対するモル比(H2O/MBTC、HCl/MBTC、O2/MBTC)が、20.01、0.93、17.95である。
酸化スズ膜の形成時に、MBTC、H2O、およびO2に加えて、HClを同時に吹き付け、酸化スズ膜90nmを形成した以外は、例1と同様の手順を実施した。
MBTCの供給量は、0.23モル%であり、H2O、HCl、および、O2は、それぞれ、MBTCに対するモル比(H2O/MBTC、HCl/MBTC、O2/MBTC)が、20.01、0.93、17.95である。
(例4)
例2と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成し、また酸化スズ膜88nmを形成した以外は、例3と同様の手順を実施した。
例2と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成し、また酸化スズ膜88nmを形成した以外は、例3と同様の手順を実施した。
(例5)
MBTCに対するHClのモル比(HCl/MBTC)を3.03に変えて、酸化スズ膜73nmを形成した以外は、例3と同様の手順を実施した。

(例6)
例2と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成し、また酸化スズ膜74nmを形成した以外は、例5と同様の手順を実施した。

(例7)
MBTCの供給量を0.09モル%とし、MBTCに対する、H2O、および、O2のモル比(H2O/MBTC、O2/MBTC)を、それぞれ、54.0、48.5として、酸化スズ膜41nmを形成した以外は例1と同様の手順を実施した。
さらに、例7、および、以下に記載する例8~例13、および、例18については汚れ付着試験(2)を実施した。
MBTCの供給量を0.09モル%とし、MBTCに対する、H2O、および、O2のモル比(H2O/MBTC、O2/MBTC)を、それぞれ、54.0、48.5として、酸化スズ膜41nmを形成した以外は例1と同様の手順を実施した。
さらに、例7、および、以下に記載する例8~例13、および、例18については汚れ付着試験(2)を実施した。
≪汚れ付着試験(2)≫
酸化スズ膜が形成された面に、汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を5秒間噴霧した。30秒間乾燥させた後、再度ヘイズ値を測定した。これを8回繰り返した後のヘイズ値を、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)とした。
酸化スズ膜が形成された面に、汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を5秒間噴霧した。30秒間乾燥させた後、再度ヘイズ値を測定した。これを8回繰り返した後のヘイズ値を、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)とした。
(例8)
例2と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成した以外は、例7と同様の手順を実施した。

MBTCの供給量を0.09モル%とし、MBTCに対する、H2O、HCl、および、O2のモル比(H2O/MBTC、HCl/MBTC、O2/MBTC)を、それぞれ、54.0、1.3、48.5として、酸化スズ膜40nmを形成した以外は例3と同様の手順を実施した。
(例10)
例2と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成した以外は、例9と同様の手順を実施した。
例2と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜を形成する前に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成した以外は、例9と同様の手順を実施した。
(例11)
MBTCに対するHClのモル比(HCl/MBTC)を2.5に変えた以外は、例9と同様の手順を実施した。

板ガラスの表面に酸化スズ膜を形成することなしに、該板ガラスの表面を原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)により観察し、得られる顕微鏡写真から、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を求めた。また、この板ガラスを5cm×5cmにカットした後、ヘイズメータを用いてヘイズ値(初期ヘイズ値)を測定した後、このサンプルを用いて、例1と同様の手順で2種類の汚れ付着試験を実施した。
板ガラスの表面に酸化スズ膜を形成することなしに、該板ガラスの表面を原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)により観察し、得られる顕微鏡写真から、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を求めた。また、この板ガラスを5cm×5cmにカットした後、ヘイズメータを用いてヘイズ値(初期ヘイズ値)を測定した後、このサンプルを用いて、例1と同様の手順で2種類の汚れ付着試験を実施した。
(例14)
例2のSiO2膜形成と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成した後、該SiO2膜を原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)により観察し、得られる顕微鏡写真から、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を求めた。また、SiO2膜形成後の板ガラスを5cm×5cmにカットした後、SiO2膜が形成された面を光の入射側として、ヘイズメータを用いてヘイズ値(初期ヘイズ値)を測定した後、このサンプルを用いて、例7と同様の手順で2種類の汚れ付着試験を実施した。
例2のSiO2膜形成と同様の手順で、板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜を形成した後、該SiO2膜を原子間力顕微鏡(AFM)により観察し、得られる顕微鏡写真から、膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を求めた。また、SiO2膜形成後の板ガラスを5cm×5cmにカットした後、SiO2膜が形成された面を光の入射側として、ヘイズメータを用いてヘイズ値(初期ヘイズ値)を測定した後、このサンプルを用いて、例7と同様の手順で2種類の汚れ付着試験を実施した。
(例15)
MBTCに対するHClのモル比(HCl/MBTC)を6.99に変えた以外は、例3と同様の手順を実施した。板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、酸化スズ膜はほとんど形成されなかった。

(例17~19)
板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成された市販のLow-Eガラスについて、酸化スズ膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を例1と同様の手順で求めた。なお、例17では、板ガラスの一方の主表面と、酸化スズ膜と、の間にアルカリバリア膜として、SiOC膜が形成されている。例18は、板ガラスの一方の主表面に酸化スズ膜を形成する時に、その他の例よりも150℃程度高い温度で加熱した板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、スズ原料を含有する原料ガスを吹き付けたものである。例19では、板ガラスの一方の主表面と、酸化スズ膜と、の間にアルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜が形成されている。
また、例1と同様の手順で、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)、および、放射率を測定した。例18については、例7と同様の手順で、汚れ付着試験(2)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)を測定した。
板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成された市販のLow-Eガラスについて、酸化スズ膜表面の算術平均粗さRaとPV値を例1と同様の手順で求めた。なお、例17では、板ガラスの一方の主表面と、酸化スズ膜と、の間にアルカリバリア膜として、SiOC膜が形成されている。例18は、板ガラスの一方の主表面に酸化スズ膜を形成する時に、その他の例よりも150℃程度高い温度で加熱した板ガラスの一方の主表面上に、スズ原料を含有する原料ガスを吹き付けたものである。例19では、板ガラスの一方の主表面と、酸化スズ膜と、の間にアルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜が形成されている。
また、例1と同様の手順で、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)、および、放射率を測定した。例18については、例7と同様の手順で、汚れ付着試験(2)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)を測定した。
酸化スズ膜の膜厚が10nm以上、150nm以下であり、膜表面のRaが1nm以上、13nm以下であり、PV/Raが15以下である、例1~12は、いずれも、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%以下あり、防汚性に優れていた。板ガラスと、酸化スズ膜と、の間にアルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜が形成された例2、6、8、10、12は、特に防汚性に優れていた。
なお、例7~12は、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下であり、防汚性が優れていることが確認された。また、例1~12は、いずれも、放射率が高く、0.75以上であるため、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面を屋外側として使用した場合でも、遮熱性が悪化することがない。
なお、例7~12は、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下であり、防汚性が優れていることが確認された。また、例1~12は、いずれも、放射率が高く、0.75以上であるため、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面を屋外側として使用した場合でも、遮熱性が悪化することがない。
板ガラスの表面に酸化スズ膜を形成しなかった例13、アルカリバリア膜として、SiO2膜のみを形成した例14は、膜表面のRaが1nm未満であるため、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%超であり、防汚性に劣っていた。例13では、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%超であり、防汚性に劣ることが確認された。
板ガラスの表面に酸化スズ膜がほとんど形成されず、Raが1nm未満の例15、例16は、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%超であり、防汚性に劣っていた。

板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成された市販のLow-Eガラスを用いた例17、19は、酸化スズ膜の膜厚が150nm超であるため、放射率が小さく、0.3未満となるため、酸化スズ膜が形成された側の主表面を屋外側として使用した場合に、遮熱性が悪化する。
板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成された市販のLow-Eガラスを用いた例18は、膜表面のPV/Raが15超であるため、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%超、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%超であり、防汚性に劣っていた。
板ガラスの一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成された市販のLow-Eガラスを用いた例18は、膜表面のPV/Raが15超であるため、汚れ付着試験(1)実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%超、汚れ付着試験(2)実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%超であり、防汚性に劣っていた。
本発明によれば、過酷な環境下で使用される住宅用窓ガラスや、透光性を付与した公共施設等の屋根や高速道路遮音壁等に使用される建築用防汚ガラスとして用いられるガラス物品に対し、優れた防汚性を低コストで付与することができる。

Claims (10)
- 板ガラスの少なくとも一方の主表面上に酸化スズ膜が形成されたガラス物品であって、前記酸化スズ膜は、
膜厚が10nm以上、150nm以下であり、
膜表面の算術平均粗さRaが1nm以上、13nm以下であり、
膜表面のPeak-valley値(PV値)と、前記Raと、の比(PV/Ra)が15以下である、ことを特徴とするガラス物品。 - 前記板ガラスと、前記酸化スズ膜と、の間に、アルカリバリア層が形成されている、請求項1に記載のガラス物品。
- JIS試験用粉体(2種)(JIS Z8901)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が3%以下である、請求項1または2に記載のガラス物品。
- 汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下である、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載のガラス物品。
- 前記酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合の遮蔽係数(SC値)(ISO9050)が0.6~0.95である、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載のガラス物品。
- 前記酸化スズ膜が形成された面を光の入射側とした場合の可視光線透過率(ISO9050)が40~80%である、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載のガラス物品。
- 前記アルカリバリア層がSiO2からなり、当該アルカリバリア層の膜厚が20~50nmである、請求項2に記載のガラス物品。
- JIS試験用粉体(2種)(JIS Z8901)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施前後でのヘイズ値の変化(ΔHz)が1%以下である、請求項3に記載のガラス物品。
- 汚染物質懸濁水(JSTM J7602:2003)を用いた汚れ付着試験実施後のヘイズ値(Hz)が5%以下である、請求項4に記載のガラス物品。
- 前記酸化スズ膜は、膜厚が100nm以下である、請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載のガラス物品。
