The width d3 (see FIG. 2) of the fixed portion 20 is larger than the width d1 of the support portion 10. Thus, from the viewpoint of covering a narrow range in the left-right direction of the body, the width of the support portion 10 is preferably 10 cm or less. On the other hand, if the width of the support portion 10 is too small, it becomes difficult to stably support the spine. From this viewpoint, the width of the support portion 10 is preferably 5 cm or more. Moreover, it is preferable that the length of the support part 10 is 30 cm or more from the viewpoint of covering a wide range in the extending direction of the spine.

Furthermore, when the support portion 10 has a rod shape, the seating posture assisting tool 1 is relatively compact and is therefore suitable for carrying. If the sitting posture assisting tool 1 is carried, the sitting posture assisting tool 1 can be used even when the user is away from home.

When the curved shape of the support part 10 is elastically deformable, the shape of the support part 10 changes according to the curved shape of the spine when seated, so that the adhesion of the support part 10 to the back can be enhanced. The width of the fixed portion 20 is larger than the width of the support portion 10. The thickness of the fixed part 20 is smaller than the thickness of the support part 10.
