  • the attachment of first fork is such that the curved arm of fork is attached to suspension at the spring end and other end is attached to seat main frame.
  • the attachment of second fork is such that the curved arm of fork are attached to suspension at the damper end and other end is attached to vehicle roof or upper horizontal bar of supporting frame, Wherein the spring portion of said suspension system is positioned above the damper beam. Due to this positioning of spring the object load or weight is applied above the spring and it also eliminate the stretching of direct spring due to applied load. This way the desired effect can be achieved from it without actually mounting suspensions below the seat.

  • the seats in this system are positioned at a certain level considering average weight of a person occupying the seats by pre-compressing the inverted suspension by adjusting the motion restrictors at the base of the main frame by still allowing some amount of vertical displacement in the range of about 6-10 cm (depending upon vehicle type ) to compensate for the largest bumps of the road.

  • This assembly can be applied to any type of seat including seat modified for children, infants and elderly persons.
  • Example 1 Comparative vibration study between normal seat assembly (existing seating system directly attached to base of the vehicle) and indirectly suspended seat assembly as disclosed in present invention was carried out on plain road and bumpy road surfaces using Accelerometer at different speeds and the data is analysed using Fast Fourier Transformations (FFT) algorithm, The graphical representation is given in figure 9. Abstract

La présente invention concerne un ensemble siège qui est très confortable pour les passagers même lorsque le véhicule se déplace sur des surfaces de routes accidentées, et la présente invention concerne plus particulièrement un ensemble siège qui présente un certain degré de mouvement de pivotement limité pour neutraliser les mouvements vers l'avant/vers l'arrière et les mouvements latéraux d'un véhicule en mouvement ou lors de virages et de freinages brusques, les sièges dans cet ensemble étant conçus pour s'isoler eux-même du plancher d'un véhicule pour éviter la transmission directe de vibrations et de secousses à l'occupant. Ceci est obtenu par la suspension indirecte des sièges au-dessus du plancher du véhicule au moyen d'un mécanisme de suspension inversé fixé à la partie supérieure de la barre horizontale de la structure de support de siège ou au toit du véhicule.
