Abstract
Ein Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, insbesondere Diätergänzungsmittel, das insbesondere zur Unterstützung der Herzfunktion bei chronischer Herzinsuffizienz einsetzbar ist, umfasst ein Gemenge mehrerer Stoffgruppen. Diese Gruppen sind eine erste Gruppe a), enthaltend Selen und Vitamine, eine zweite Gruppe b), enthaltend Vitamine, Biotin, Folsäure, Niazinamid und Pantothensäure, eine dritte Gruppe c), enthaltend L-Carnitin und Taurin, eine vierte Gruppe d), enthaltend wenigstens eine der vorgenannten Gruppen und mit Weißdorn und eine fünfte Gruppe e), enthaltend wenigstens eine Kaliumverbindung und wenigstens eine Magnesiumverbindung.

Nahrungsergänzungsmittel
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Nahrungsergänzungsmittel,
insbesondere Diät-Ergänzungsmittel, zur Verwendung in der
Veterinärmedizin, insbesondere bei Kleintieren, wie Hunden und Katzen .
Herzerkrankungen stellen in der Kleintierpraxis ein häufiges Problem dar. Hunde und Katzen können an angeborenen oder erworbenen Herzerkrankungen leiden. Beim Hund stellt die
Atrioventrikular-Klappeninsuffi zienz infolge Klappenendokardose die häufigste Form dar.
Unter Herzinsuffizienz wird das fortschreitende Unvermögen des Herzens verstanden, das zur Versorgung des Körpers im
Ruhezustand oder unter Belastung erforderliche Volumen an Blut zu fördern. Als Folge treten eine Reihe kardialer und peripherer Kompensationsmechanismen in Kraft, wie z. B.: muskuläre Hypertrophie,
Sympathikus,
Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosteron System,
antidiuretisches Hormon.
Hier setzen die üblichen medikamentösen Herztherapien an:
Verringerung der neuroendokrinen Aktivierung und deren Folge (ACE-Hemmer) ,
Senkung der Vor- und Nachlast (ACE-Hemmer, Diuretika), Steigerung der Kontraktilität des Myokards,
Verbesserung der hämodynamischen Situation durch Senken der Vor- und Nachlast.
Im Zuge einer Herzerkrankung kommt es auch zu umfangreichen Veränderungen des Stoffwechsels und zu Problemen des
intrazellulären Energiestoffwechsels .
Eine Verringerung des venösen Sauerstoffgehaltes führt zu einer Lactatazidose . Die Körperzellen werden durch Sauerstoffradikale, die durch oxidativen Stress freigesetzt werden, massiv
geschädigt. Die mit der muskulären Muskelhypertrophie
verbundenen Umbauprozesse des Herzens führen zu einer
erheblichen zytotoxischen Belastung von Körperzellen.
Die klassische, medikamentöse Therapie der Herzinsuffizienz in der veterinärmedizinischen Praxis konzentriert sich
ausschließlich auf das Verwenden von ACE-Hemmern, Pimobendan, Herzglykosiden und Diuretika. Für eine nachhaltige und
umfassende Therapie ist eine gleichzeitige Behandlung der
StoffWechselproblematik notwendig .
Die WO 01/03683 A2 beschreibt ein Nahrungsmittel, das L-Carnitin und Weißdornextrakt und zusätzlich noch Vitamine, Co-Enzyme, Mineralstoffe und Antioxidantien enthälc. Die Zusatzstoffe werden an keiner Stelle bzw. konkret angegeben.
Die WO 98/43617 A2 hat ein Nahrungsmittel zum Gegenstand, das L- Carnitin, Coenzym Q10 und Taurin und zusätzlich Selen, Vitamin C und E enthält. Nicht enthalten sind Weißdorn, B-Vitamine,
Magnesiumverbindungen und Kaliumverbindungen.
Gleiches gilt für die US 5,976,568 A. In diesem
Nahrungsergänzungsmittel sind viele Inhaltsstoffe enthalten. Es handelt sich um ein "Modul" einer modularen Behandlung in
Kombination mit Aspirin.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein
Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, insbesondere ein Diät- Ergänzungsmittel, zur Verfügung zu stellen, das insbesondere zur Unterstützung der Herzfunktion bei chronischer Herzinsuffizienz einsetzbar ist.
Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe durch ein Mittel, das die Merkmale von
Anspruch 1 aufweist.
Bevorzugte und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des
erfindungsgemäßen Mittels sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche .
Mit anderen Worten ist das erfindungsgemäße
Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, insbesondere Diätergänzungsmittel, durch ein Gemenge der nachstehend genannten Inhaltsstoffe gekennzeichnet :
Inhaltsstoffe a) , nämlich
Selen und Vitamine,
Inhaltsstoffe b) , nämlich
Vitamine, Biotin, Folsäure, Niazinamid und Pantothensäure ,
Inhaltsstoffe c) , nämlich
L-Carnitin und Taurin,
Inhaltsstoffe d) , nämlich
zusätzlich zu wenigstens einem der Inhaltsstoffe a) , b) oder c) Weißdorn,
Inhaltsstoffe e), nämlich
je wenigstens eine Kaliumverbindung und
Magnesiumverbindung .
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Inhaltsstoffe a) Selen als
Selenoprotein, insbesondere Selenomethionin oder Selenocystein, enthalten .
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass als Inhaltsstoffe a) neben Selen Vitamin E und Vitamin C vorliegen.
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Inhaltsstoffe b) Vitamin Bl/Thiamin, Vitamin B2 /Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Biotin,
Folsäure, Niacinamid und Pantothensäure sind.
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Inhaltsstoffe b) L-Carnitin und Taurin sind .
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Inhaltsstoffe d) Blätter und/oder
Blüten von Weißdorn sind.
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Inhaltsstoffe e) Kalium in Form von Kaliumcarbonat und Magnesium als Magnesium-Chelat sind.
In einer Ausführungsform ist das erfindungsgemäße Mittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es
7,76 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe a),
11,89 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe b) ,
60,00 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe c) ,
10,00 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe d) und
10,35 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe e) enthält .
Die Zusammensetzung des erfindungsgemäßen Mittels stellt einen umfassenden Therapieansatz sicher und hat zwei therapeutische Ansatzpunkte :
1. Zellschutzwirkung und antioxidative Wirkungen:
L-Carnitin, Vitamin B, Vitamin E, Selen, Niacin, Folsäure und Biotin greifen an verschiedenen Stellen des
Energiestoffwechsels der tierischen Zelle an.
In dem erfindungsgemäßen Mittel ist ein umfassendes Paket an Schutzstoffen für die Zellen und Katalysatoren für den Energiestoffwechsel enthalten.
2. Herz und Gefäße:
Weißdorn hat eine nachgewiesene Wirkung auf die
Kontraktions kraft des Herzens und eine nachgewiesene, gefäßdilatierende Wirkung.
Obwohl die zytotoxischen Auswirkungen einer Herzinsuffizienz ausreichend belegt und dokumentiert sind, gibt es bis heute kein Therapiekonzept, das sowohl die Zellschutzwirkung und die antioxidative Wirkung als auch den Effekt auf die
Kontraktionskraft und Herzfrequenz berücksichtigt.
Das erfindungsgemäße Mittel ist ein Gemenge aus fünf Gruppen (Gruppen a) bis e) ) von Inhaltsstoffen.
Nachstehend werden die Gruppen der Inhaltsstoffe beispielhaft einschließlich beispielhafter Anteile (%) beschrieben:
1. Gruppe a) von Inhaltsstoffen:
Zufuhr eines exogenen Antioxidantienkomplexes zum Ausgleich des Missverhältnisses zwischen Sauerstoffradikalen und
Antioxidantien (oxidativer Streß)
Selen / Vitamin E / Vitamin C
1.1 Selen Γ0, 5%1 :
Liegt in Form von funktionellen Selenoproteinen
(Selenomethionin, Selenocystein ) vor, die von einem speziellen, an die Anreicherung großer Mengen von Selen angepassten
Hefestamm gebildet werden. Eines dieser Selenoenzyme ist die Glutathionperoxidase (GSH-Px) , ein antioxidatives Enzym im
Cytoplasma . Diese Funktion erklärt den Zusammenhang zwischen Selen und Muskelfunktion.
1.2 Vitamin E Γ 5% Ί :
Als Antioxidans stabilisiert es die oxidationsempfindlichen Phospholipide der Zellmembranen, insbesondere der Herz- und Skelettmuskulatur, Vitamin E sowie Carotinoide samt
Zwischenstufen und beugt somit degenerativen Erscheinungen, beispielsweise im Herzmuskel, vor.
1.3 Synergie Vitamin E und Selen:
Beide sind Faktoren gegen oxidativen Stress und werden zellulär gespeichert: das fettlösliche Vitamin E agiert hauptsächlich in der Zellmembran, das wasserlösliche Selen bewirkt vornehmlich im Zellinneren den Abbau von Peroxiden durch die Glutathion- Peroxidose (GSH-Px) . Zur ausreichenden Bildung der selenhaltigen GSH-Px ist ein Selengehalt von 0,2 - 0,3 mg/kg
Futtertrockenmasse vorteilhaft.
Der Vitamin E-sparende Effekt von organischem Selen ergibt sich aus dem Selenoenzym Thioredoxinreductase, durch das das aus der Reaktion von α-Tocopherol mit Radikalen entstandene
α-Tocopheroxyl wieder (Vitamin E) in a-Tocopherol
zurückverwandelt wird.
1.4 Vitamin C \ 2 .26%] :
Beseitigung von Radikalen und Lipid-Peroxylverbindungen im
Zellstoffwechsel im Zusammenwirken mit Vitamin E und organischem Selen .
Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe
2. Gruppe b) von Inhaltsstoffen :
Zufuhr der wasserlöslichen Vitamine des B-Komplexes zum
Ausgleich der Vitaminausschwemmungen, die sich als Folge der zur Herzentlastung häufig eingesetzten harntreibenden Mittel
ergeben. Die Vitamine des B-Komplexes üben als Coenzyme, als Bestandteile von Coenzymen oder als Aufbau von Coenzymen
dienende Stoffe essentielle Stoffwechselfunktionen aus.
2.1 Vitamin Bl/Thiamin Γ 0 , 18 % 1 :
Wichtig für die Funktion von Nervengewebe und Herzmuskulatur. Ein Mangel an Vitamin Bl verursacht ein Verlangsamen der
Herzschlagfolge, Herzversagen und Herzmuskelschäden.
2.2 Vitamin B2 /Riboflavin Γ 0 , 28 % 1 :
Wichtig im Energiestoffwechsel durch das Übertragen von
Wasserstoff in der Atmungskette.
2.3 Vitamin B6 Γ0, 11% 1 :
Wichtige Funktion im Aminosäurenstoffwechsel, essentiell z.B. für den Abbau von Tryptophan (bzw. die Synthese von Niacin) und im Kohlenhydratstoffwechsel durch die Beteiligung an der
Phosphorylasewirkung . Als CSA-Decarboxylase-Coenzym (CSA=
Cysteine Sulfinic Acid) ist Vitamin B6 entscheidend für die
Taurin-Eigensynthese von Hunden. Bei Katzen wirkt sich das bei der ohnehin zu geringen CSA-Carboxylasekonzentration nur
marginal aus. Als Mangelerscheinung tritt u.a. Herzschädigung auf .
2.4 Vitamin B12 Γ 8 % 1 :
Dieses Vitamin ist für die den ganzen Stoffwechsel betreffenden Methylierungsreaktionen essentiell.
2.5 Biotin Γ 1 % 1 :
Wichtig u.a. in der Fettsäurensynthese und bei Aufbau von DNA und RNA. Mangelerscheinungen ergeben sich aus der Bedeutung von Biotin für die Bildung von Haut, Haar und Huf.
2.6 Folsäure fQ, 02% 1 :
Ist zusammen mit Vitamin B12 an einer Methylierungsreaktion beteiligt, durch die das als starkes Pro-Oxidans und Freie- Radikale-Generator agierende Homocystein in Methionin
umgewandelt wird, das entweder in die Proteinsynthese oder wieder in den Methylierungszyklus einmündet.
2.7 Niacinamid Γ 1 , 7% 1 :
Als Baustein von NAD (Nicotinamidadenindinukleotid) und NADP (Nicot inamidadenindinukleotidphosphat ) am Kohlenhydrat-, Fett- und Aminosäurenstoffwechsel beteiligt. Nimmt eine Schlüsselrolle im Energieumsatz ein. Löst bei Mangel beim Hund beispielsweise die Schwarzzungenkrankheit aus.
2.8 Pantothensäure ΙΌ,6%1 :
Erforderlich für das Bilden von Acetylcholin für die Funktion der Nervenzellen und als Bestandteil des Coenzyms A am
Kohlenhydrat-, Fett- und Eiweißstoffwechsel beteiligt und für die Funktion der Haut und der Schleimhäute zuständig.
Mangelerscheinungen sind u.a. Veränderungen an Haut und
Schleimhäuten, Appetitmangel und Durchfälle durch Störungen im Magen-Darm-Trakt .

3.1 L-Carnitin Γ 50 % 1
Die primäre Energiequelle für den Herzmuskel sind die Fette. Das gesunde Herz deckt seinen Energiebedarf zum überwiegenden Teil durch die Oxidation langkettiger Fettsäuren. Ohne das L-Carnitin, das durch körpereigene Synthese aus den Aminosäuren Lysin und Methionin gebildet wird, findet die Fettoxidation nicht statt, da L-Carnitin den Transport der Fettsäuren aus dem Zytosol (flüssige Bestandteile des Zytoplasmas) in die
Mitochondrien erst ermöglicht. Zum Fettsäureabbau muss das Acyl- CoA in die Mitochondrien transportiert werden. Da Acyl-CoA nicht selbständig die innere Mitochondrienmembran überwinden kann, muss es zum Transport auf L-Carnitin übertragen werden. Von dieser Acyl-Carnitin genannten Transportform wird der Acylrest im Mitochondrieninnern wieder auf ein Coenzym A übertragen, so dass erneut Acyl-CoA vorliegt.
Die zweite essentielle Funktion des L-Carnitins für den
Herzmuskel liegt im Ausschleusen der bei myokardialem
Sauerstoffmangel entstehenden toxischen langkettigen Fettsäuren und Fettsäureester, die mitochondriale Enzymsysteme hemmen und durch die daraus resultierende verminderte ATP-Syntheseleistung (ATP= Adenosintriphosphat ) die Herzleistung einschränken. Die durch Sauerstoffmangel im Herzmuskel entstehenden langkettigen toxischen Acyl-Ester, wie Acyl-Carnitin, greifen aber auch genauso wie freie Sauerstoffradikale die Membranoberflächen von Herzmuskelzellen an. Diese Zersetzungsprozesse können allerdings durch den Einsatz von Antioxidantien - siehe Gruppe a) von
Inhaltsstoffen - als auch durch L-Carnitinzusat z verhindert werden, da L-Carnitin freie Radikale abfangen und in höheren Dosen sogar beschädigten Membranen ihre Funktion wieder
zurückgeben kann.
3.2 Taurin \10%]
Taurin ( ß-Aminosulfonsäure ) ist ein Abbauprodukt von Cystein und gilt nicht als echte Aminosäure. Für Katzen allerdings stellt Taurin eine essentielle Aminosäure dar, weil:
1. Katzen bilden Gallensalze ausschließlich mit Taurin und
können nicht, wie z.B. Hunde bei Taurinmangel, auf Glycin umsteigen;
2. in Katzen das für die Taurinbildung wesentliche Enzym
CysteineSulfinicAcid-Decarboxylase nur in geringer = nicht hinreichender Menge vorliegt;
3. der enterohepatische Kreislauf von Katzen im Vergleich zu dem des z.B. Hundes zu ineffizient arbeitet, d.h. es geht mit den über den Kot ausgeschiedenen Gallensalzen zu viel Taurin verloren, das mit der Nahrung wieder aufgenommen werden muss (Mäuse enthalten z.B. sehr viel Taurin) . Vitamin B6 ist für die Taurinsynthese essentiell. Ein Mangel an Vitamin B6 schränkt die Taurinsynthesemöglichkeiten
zusätzlich ein.
Ende der 1980er Jahre wurde ein eindeutiger Zusammenhang
zwischen Taurinmangel und dem Auftreten von diiatativer
Kardiomyopathie (DCM) nachgewiesen.
Bei Hunden wurde das bislang noch nicht erwiesen, man kann aber mittlerweile davon ausgehen, dass eine zu geringe Zufuhr von Taurin über die Nahrung die Entwicklung von DCM forciert.
Wichtigste Funktionen von Taurin im Körper:
Durch die Regelung des Calcium- und Kaliumgleichgewichts in den Muskelzellen wird die Kontraktionsfähigkeit des Herzens beeinflusst und die Herzleistung gefördert.
Taurin stabilisiert das Membranpotential der Zellen.
Aufgrund des hohen Anteils von Taurin im Herzmuskel wirkt es daher funktionsunterstützend.
Taurin ist wesentlich an der Regelung des osmotischen
Gleichgewichts beteiligt und bestimmt damit den
Wasserhaushalt mit.
Taurin ist mitverantwortlich für die normale Funktion der Netzhaut durch Einwirkung auf die Photorezeptoren.
Es bewirkt die Fettverdauung durch die Gallensäure- Konj ugation .

Inhaltsstoffen mit:
4.1 Weißdorn, Blätter und Blüten, gemahlen
Gattungen :
Crataegus monogyna und C. laevigata, C. pentagyna, C. nigra, C. azarolus
Dieser Inhaltsstoff wird für die Verwendung in dem
erfindungsgemäßen Mittel auf einen Hyperosidgehalt von 1,5% eingestellt .
Die wirksamkeitsbestimmenden Inhaltsstoffe sind oligomere
Procyanidine und Flavonoide.
Um verlässliche Wirkstoffangaben der unterschiedlichen Herkünfte mit ihren unterschiedlichen Einzelverbindungen zu erhalten, werden die Flavonoide als Hyperosid berechnet angegeben und die oiigomeren Procyanidine als Epicatechin.
Dimere und oligomere Procyanidine , die sich vom ( + ) -Catechin bzw. (- ) -Epicatechin ableiten,
Flavonoide
Die Flavonoidmuster der einzelnen Gattungen sind
unterschiedlich, das GesamtSpektrum umfasst:
Hyperosid, Rutin, Vitexin, Vitexinrhamnosid,
Eriodictyolglycosid, Luteolinglycosid, Luteolin-7-Ο- glucosid, Quercetinglycosid
Triterpencarbonsäuren
Dazu gehören Ursolsäure, Oleanolsäure und 2-a- Hydroxyoleanol säure (Crataegolsäure )
- Weitere Inhaltsstoffe:
Chlorogensäure , Kaffeesäure, biogene Amine, wie
Phenylethylamin, Tyramin, 6-Methoxyphenylethylamin,
Aminopurine und Catechine wie z.B. (+) -Catechin, (-)- Epicatechin .
Wirkungen :
Sowohl mit Zubereitungen aus Weißdornblättern und -bluten als auch mit den Einzelverbindungen wurden pharmakodynamische in- vivo und in-vitro Versuche durchgeführt und folgende Wirkungen festgestellt, dargelegt in der Monographie der Kommission E: positiv inotrop (die Kontraktion des Herzens beeinflussend) , positiv dromotrop (die Erregungsleitung des Herzens
beeinflussend) , negativ bathmotrop (die Reizschwelle des Herzens
beeinflussend) ,
Zunahme der Koronar- und Myocarddurchblutung,
Senkung des peripheren Gefäßwiderstandes.
Weitere tierexperimentell in in-vitro- und in-vivo-Modellen ermittelte Wirkungen der in Crataegusextrakten enthaltenen
Procyanidine und Flavonoide:
Steigerung des koronaren Durchflusses, Senkung der
Herzfrequenz, gewisse antiarrhytmische Effekte.
Als molekulare Wirkmechanismen nimmt man an: eine Hemmung von Phosphodiesterase,
eine Hemmung der Na+/K+-ATPase
eine Hemmung des Angiotensin-konvertierenden Enzyms ACE, das Teil des Blutdruckregelsystems ist.
Daraus gezogene Schlüsse:
Enterale Resorption (min. 20 - 30 %), nennenswerte Mengen erscheinen im Körper bereits innerhalb von einer Stunde. Die enterale Resorption dauert insgesamt mehrere Stunden.
Bestandteile der OPC-Fraktion (OPC= Oligomere
Proanthocyanidine ) koppeln an Plasma- und Gewebsproteine und werden im Körper weit verteilt, einschließlich Gehirn.
Nach siebentägiger Fütterung waren die Organkonzentrationen 2 - 3mal höher als nach einmaliger Verabreichung i.v.
Eine Anreicherung erfolgt im Myocard.
Die Ausscheidung erfolgt bei durchgehender peroraler
Aufnahme überwiegend über den Kot.
Unerwünschte Wirkungen, Wechselwirkungen mit anderen Wirkstoffen bzw. Therapien:
Liegen aufgrund tierischer Langzeitversuche t vor .
[Σ der Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe d) : 10 %] 5. Gruppe e) von Inhaltsstoffen:
Zufuhr der Mineralstoffe Kalium und Magnesium, welche die elektrische Stabilität erregbarer Zellen beeinflussen.
In dem erfindungsgemäßen Mittel liegt
Kalium, bevorzugt in Form von Kaliumcarbonat [1%] und
Magnesium, bevorzugt in einer speziellen, organisch gebundenen Form, als Magnesiumchelat [9,35%] vor .
Dabei wird das in Oxidform eingebrachte Magnesium durch eine innere Komplexbildung (Chelate) an aus hydrolysiertem
Sojaprotein gewonnene Aminosäuren gebunden. Sie können dann als Aminosäure oder als Peptid durch die Darmwand resorbiert werden. Dadurch wird eine bessere Verwertbarkeit erreicht als mit jeder anderen Bindungsform, weil ein bereits an eine Aminosäure gekoppeltes Mineral über einen weiten pH-Bereich stabil ist, sodass ein Schutz gegenüber den sauren Verhältnissen im Magen besteht, vor Interaktionen mit anderen Mengenelementen wie Calcium, Kalium und Phosphor oder dem Spurenelement Zink, welche die Absorption im Darmtrakt einschränken können, gefeit ist, gezielt in das jeweilige Körperorgan oder das Enzymsystem transportiert wird. Die verschiedenen Aminosäuren
funktionieren wie "Linienbusse", die ihren Kopplungspartner nur an einem bestimmten Organ abliefern.
Das Ruhepotential der Zellmembran wird durch ein
Kaliumgleichgewicht sichergestellt, das sich aufgrund eines K+- Konzentrationsgefalles zwischen Intra- und Extrazellulärraum ergibt .
Die elektrische Stabilität der Zellen wird durch Magnesium verbessert, indem es deren Erregbarkeit vermindert.
Da die Ursachen für einen vermehrten Bedarf, eine erhöhte
Ausscheidung oder eine verminderte Zufuhr für beide Kationen sehr ähnlich sind, sind von einer Mangelsituation meist beide Elemente gemeinsam betroffen, daher ist eine Zufuhr sowohl von Magnesium (Mg+) als auch von Kalium (K+) sinnvoll.
Ein Mangel an K+ und an Mg+ stellt sich oft als Folge der zur Herzentlastung häufig eingesetzten Mittel mit diuretischer Wirkung ein.
Mg+ ist für den Transport von K+ in die Zelle notwendig. Deshalb kann chronisches Magnesiumdefizit die intrazelluläre
Kaliumkonzentration vermindern.
Mg+ hemmt weiters das Freisetzen der erregungsfordernden
Botenstoffe Noradrenalin und Adrenalin, die wesentlich zur Entstehung von Herzrhythmusstörungen beitragen können. Magnesium verhindert eine Calciumüberladung der Zelle , die die
elektrische Stabilität der Zelle gefährdet. Magnesium hält die Schwelle für das Auslösen von Extra-Erregungen hoch.
Mg+ und K+ wirken Synergistisch :
die gleichzeitige Zufuhr von K+ und Mg+ ergab bei durch
Sauerstoffmangel am Herzen ausgelöste Herzrhythmusstörungen den besten korrigierenden Effekt.
Es gibt aber auch den Spezialfall einer antagonistischen
Wirkungsweise zwischen Mg+ und K+ :
ein aufgrund erhöhter extrazellulärer Konzentration an K+ erhöhtes Zell-Oberflächenpotential lässt sich durch die Erhöhung der extrazellulären Konzentration an Mg+ wieder normalisieren. Das hat den praktischen Effekt, dass nachteilig hohe
Konzentrationen an K+ durch Mg+ wieder ausgeglichen werden.
Herzinsuffizienz löst sehr häufig ein Kalium- und
Magnesiumdefizit aus, was wiederum das Auftreten von
Herzrhythmusstörungen begünstigt .

Die angegebenen Prozentsätze beziehen sich auf die verwendete Darreichungsform der jeweiligen Komponente.
In dem vorstehend genannten Beispiel für die Zusammenset zung des erfindungsgemäßen Mittels sind die Komponenten beispielsweise in den nachstehend genannten Anteilen (Gew. %) enthalten:

Das erfindungsgemäße Mittel enthält Komponenten, die
Synergistisch wirken, um die Herzfunktion zu unterstützen.
Insbesondere die Wirkung des Weißdorns hat eine direkte Wirkung auf die Funktion des Herzens, insbesondere von Tieren, wie
Kleintieren. Die, ein Multivitaminpaket enthaltenden
Komponenten, so wie L-Carnitin und Taurin, ergänzen diese direkte, herzwirksame Komponente, indem sie den Muskelwechsel unterstützen und Entzündungsprozesse vermindern.
L-Carnitin erfüllt eine wesentliche Rolle im Energiestoffwechsel der Muskelzelle. Darüber hinaus hat L-Carnitin eine
Zellschutzfunktion, indem es toxische StoffWechselprodukte aus der Zelle ausschleust.
Der Zusammenhang zwischen dem Auftreten dilatativer
Kardiomyopathie und niedrigen Tauringehalten im Blut ist
wissenschaftlich nachgewiesen. Diese Beobachtungen konnten insbesondere bei Neufundländern, Cocker Spaniels und Golden Retrievern gemacht werden. Nach Supplementierung von Taurin sind klinische Verbesserungen der Herztätigkeit festzustellen.
Weißdornblüten und Weißdornblätter stellen einen direkt
herzwirksamen Bestandteil des erfindungsgemäßen Mittels dar. Überdies bewirkt Weißdorn eine Zunahme der Koronar- und der Myokarddurchblutung als Folge gefäßdilatierender Wirkungen.
Schließlich erhöht Weißdorn auch die Hypocietoleranz.
Das erfindungsgemäße Mittel empfiehlt sich insbesondere zum Einsatz bei einer Herzinsuffizienz ab dem Schweregrad B.
Des Weiteren kann das erfindungsgemäße Mittel gut mit anderen Herztherapeutika kombiniert werden.
Wenn zum Beispiel ACE-Hemmer, Pimobendan oder Spironolacton zur Behandlung einer Herzinsuffizienz indiziert sind, kann das erfindungsgemäße Mittel ergänzend verabreicht werden.
Ein Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Mittels ist es auch, das es eine Zubereitung mit naturnahen Inhaltsstoffen ist.
Beispielsweise kann ein erfindungsgemäßes Mittel folgende
Eigenschaften und Zusammensetzungen sowie Inhaltstoffe
aufweisen :

Einführungsplan zu Ende gefüttert werden.
Empfohlene Fütterungsdauer:
Zunächst bis zu 6 Monaten.
Zusammenfassend kann ein Ausführungsbeispiel des
erfindungsgemäßen Mittels wie folgt beschrieben werden:
Ein Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, insbesondere Diätergänzungsmittel, das insbesondere zur Unterstützung der Herzfunktion bei
chronischer Herzinsuffizienz einsetzbar ist, umfasst ein Gemenge mehrerer Stoffgruppen . Diese Gruppen sind eine erste Gruppe a), enthaltend Selen und Vitamine, eine zweite Gruppe b) , enthaltend Vitamine, Biotin, Folsäure, Niazinamid und Pantothensäure , eine dritte Gruppe c) , enthaltend L-Carnitin und Taurin, eine vierte Gruppe d) , enthaltend wenigstens eine der vorgenannten Gruppen und mit Weißdorn und eine fünfte Gruppe e) , enthaltend
wenigstens eine Kaliumverbindung und wenigstens eine
Magnesiumverbindung .
Claims
Ansprüche :
Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, insbesondere Diätergänzungsmittel, gekennzeichnet durch ein Gemenge der nachstehend genannten Inhaltsstoffe :
Gruppe a) von Inhaltsstoffen
Selen und Vitamine,
Gruppe b) von Inhaltsstoffen
Vitamine, Biotin, Folsäure, Niazinamid und Pantothensäure ,
Gruppe c) von Inhaltsstoffen
L-Carnitin und Taurin,
Gruppe d) von Inhaltsstoffen
wenigstens eine der Gruppen a) , b) oder c) und Weißdorn, Gruppe e) von Inhaltsstoffen
je wenigstens eine Kaliumverbindung und Magnesiumverbindung.
Mittel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Gruppe a) Selen als Selenoprotein, insbesondere
Selenomethionin oder Selenocystein, enthält.
Mittel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Gruppe a) neben Selen, Vitamin E und Vitamin C enthält.
Mittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass die Gruppe b) Vitamin Bl/Thiamin,
Vitamin B2 /Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Biotin, Folsäure, Niacinamid und Pantothensäure enthält.
Mittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass die Gruppe b) L-Carnitin und Taurin enthält .
Mittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass die Gruppe d) Blätter und/oder Blüten von Weißdorn enthält.
Mittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass die Gruppe e Kalium in Form von
Kaliumcarbonat und Magnesium als Magnesium-Chelat enthält.
Mittel nach einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 7, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass es
7,76 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe a) ,
11,89 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe b) ,
60,00 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe c) ,
10,00 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe d) und
10,35 Gew. % Inhaltsstoffe der Gruppe e) enthält .
