  • Iodine and its derivative compounds have been widely used in the prevention and treatment of infections and as an antiseptic. They have a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action in bacteria, viruses, bacterial endospores, fungi and protozoa.
  • One of its mechanisms of action is to reduce the oxygen requirements of aerobic microorganisms, interfering with the respiratory chain by blocking the transport of electrons through electrolytic reactions with enzymes.
  • Preparations containing iodine or iodophore agents acquire brown-violet tones upon contact with the solvent. The intensity of these tones depends on the concentration and polarity of the solvent. When applied, these preparations generate lasting yellow or brown spots on the skin or clothing that are difficult to remove with washing and remain for a long time.

La présente invention concerne des compositions microbicides liquides incolores qui renferment un iodophore et au moins un agent décolorant qui supprime la coloration produite par l'iode, produisant ainsi une composition incolore qui conserve son spectre d'action.
