Definitions
- Iodine and its derivative compounds have been widely used in the prevention and treatment of infections and as an antiseptic. They have a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action in bacteria, viruses, bacterial endospores, fungi and protozoa.
- One of its mechanisms of action is to reduce the oxygen requirements of aerobic microorganisms, interfering with the respiratory chain by blocking the transport of electrons through electrolytic reactions with enzymes.
- Preparations containing iodine or iodophore agents acquire brown-violet tones upon contact with the solvent. The intensity of these tones depends on the concentration and polarity of the solvent. When applied, these preparations generate lasting yellow or brown spots on the skin or clothing that are difficult to remove with washing and remain for a long time.
- US4828569 discloses a detergent composition comprising N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, gamma butyrolactone, 2-ethyl-l, 3-hexanediol or 4-methyl-l, 3-dioxolan-2-one together with some anionic surfactants or not ionic to remove stains generated by iodopovidone solutions.
- US4022882 describes a germicidal composition comprising elemental iodine, polyvinylpyrrolidone and hydrazine hydrate to suppress the coloration generated by them, whereby the solution becomes colorless.
- the bleaching agents according to the present invention are defined as compounds that react as oxidizing agents that convert iodine (colored) to iodide (colorless) ion.

- Bleaching agents according to the invention include methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium thiosulfate, sodium hyposulphite and mixtures thereof.
- microbicidal compositions of the present invention include an effective amount of an iodophore, at least one bleaching agent and one or more acceptable excipients and / or vehicle. It will be apparent to anyone skilled in the art, that the optimum concentration of it or the active ingredients in the compositions of the invention will depend on several factors such as the type of end user, the type of composition used and the treatment to be performed. In a preferred embodiment, the final concentration of the iodophore in the composition is between 0.1% and 15% (w / v) and the final concentration of bleaching agent is between 0.1% and 10% (w / v).

Abstract
La présente invention concerne des compositions microbicides liquides incolores qui renferment un iodophore et au moins un agent décolorant qui supprime la coloration produite par l'iode, produisant ainsi une composition incolore qui conserve son spectre d'action.
