Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Befeuchter, eine Vorrichtung mit Brennstoffzelle und ein Kraftfahrzeug. Der erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagene Befeuchter (100) umfasst mindestens einen Befeuchtungskanal (210), wobei der Befeuchter (100) so ausgestaltet ist, dass im Befeuchtungskanal (210) ein zu befeuchtendes erstes Gas in einer Strömungsrichtung und durch ein wasserdurchlässiges Material (130) getrennt an einem befeuchtenden zweiten Gas vorbeigeführt werden kann, sodass Wasser vom zweiten Gas in das erste Gas übertritt. Der erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagene Befeuchter (100) ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sich eine dem ersten Gas zur Verfügung stehende Querschnittsfläche des Befeuchtungskanals (210) in der Strömungsrichtung verringert. Die Verjüngung der Querschnittsfläche bewirkt einen Druckabfall über den Befeuchtungskanal, der einen Druckanstieg infolge der zunehmenden Befeuchtung verringert, kompensiert oder überkompensiert, sodass die Partialdruckdifferenz zwischen erstem und zweiten Gas trotz Feuchteübertritt über die Befeuchtungskanalstrecke groß bleibt.
