Abstract
一种OLED显示器的像素驱动电路,其采用6T2C结构,至少包括:扫描开关管TFT1、驱动晶体管TFT2、第一补偿开关管TFT3、第二补偿开关管TFT4、第一复位开关管TFT5、第二复位开关管TFT6、有机发光二极管OLED、耦合电容C1以及存储电容C2。该驱动电路可以补偿驱动晶体管阈值电压的漂移,从而提高了OLED的灰阶和画面均一性。
Description
一种 CLED显示器的像素驱动电路及其驱动方法 本申请要求于 2014 年 4 月 1 日提交中国专利局、 申请号为 201410127995.8, 发明名称为" 一种 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路及其驱动 方法" 的中国专利申请的优先权,上述专利的全部内容通过引用结合在本申 请中。 技术领域
本发明涉及发光二极管的显示器的像素驱动技术,特别是涉及一种有机 发光二极管( Organic Light Emitting Diode , OLED )显示器的像素驱动电路 及其驱动方法。
背景技术
作为新一代显示技术, OLED显示面板具有低功耗、 高色域、 高亮度、 高分辨率、 宽视角、 高响应速度等优点,因此备受市场的青睐。
但随着显示技术的发展,被动阵列 OLED已经无法满足高分辨率和大信 息量的要求,对于大屏幕高分辨率显示,通常采用主动阵列 OLED驱动方式。
如图 1为传统一种 2T1C的主动阵列 OLED驱动电路,其中 2T1C指该 电路中包括 2个 TFT管以及 1个电容 C;其中 TFT1为开关薄膜晶体管主要 是控制电容 C的充电开关 ,TFT2为 OLED驱动晶体管主要用来驱动 OLED , 电容 C主要是用来存储 data信号灰阶电压进而控制 TFT2对 OLED的驱动电 流, Gate n为第 n行扫描信号线, Data为第 n列讯号线, Vdd为 OLED驱动 而应用于主动阵列 OLED 的薄膜晶体管主要有氢氧化非晶硅晶体管 ( a-Si TFT )和低温多晶硅薄膜晶体( LTPS TFT 其中, LTPS TFT的阈 值电压和沟道迁移率在空间分布上是不够均匀的,而 a-Si TFT的阈值电压和 迁移率会随时间偏移,这些缺点会造成现有 OLED显示屏的各个像素点驱动 TFT阈值电压不均匀,故使各个像素点的 OLED的亮度出现不均匀性和不稳 定性。 而在实际的 OLED显示面板产品中,需要将不均匀性控制在约 ± 1 % 的范围内。 为此,需要引入各种像素补偿电路,使显示屏发光亮度的均匀性
和稳定性符合商品要求。
发明内容
本发明所要解决的技术问题在于,提供一种 OLED显示器的像素驱动电 路及其驱动方法,可以补偿驱动晶体管阈值电压的漂移,可以提高 OLED的 灰阶和画面均一性。
为了解决上述技术问题,本发明的实施例的一方面提供了一种 OLED显 示器的像素驱动电路,包括:
扫描开关管 TFT1 ,其源极接数据线,其棚极接扫描控制线,其漏极连 接耦合电容 C1的第一端,扫描开关管 TFT1用于控制耦合电容 C1为驱动晶 体管 TFT2的棚极写入所述数据线提供的灰度数据电压;
驱动晶体管 TFT2 ,其棚极接耦合电容 C1的第二端;
第一补偿开关管 TFT3 ,其源极接耦合电容 C1的第二端,其漏极接驱动 晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其棚极接收第二开关驱动信号 SW2;
第二补偿开关管 TFT4 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接收第四开关驱动信号 SW4;
第一复位开关管 TFT5 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT3的棚极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接第一开关驱动信号 SW1 ,且其源极与棚极之间连接一存储电容 C2;
第二复位开关管 TFT6 ,其源极接扫描开关管 TFT1 的漏极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接第三开关驱动信号 SW3;
有机发光二极管 OLED ,其负极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的源极,其正极接 电源线 Vdd。
其中,所述扫描开关管 TFT1、驱动晶体管 TFT2、第一补偿开关管 TFT3、 第二补偿开关管 TFT4、第一复位开关管 TFT5以及第二复位开关管 TFT6为 多晶硅薄膜晶体管、 非晶硅薄膜晶体管、 氧化锌基薄膜晶体管或有机薄膜晶 体管中的任意一种。
其中,所述第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开 关驱动信号 SW3以及第四开关驱动信号 SW4由外部的时序控制器 Tcon提 ί共。

高电平,所述第二补偿开关管 TFT4、 第一复位开关管 TFT5和第二复位开 关管 TFT6为导通状态,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚极处电位被复位,处于低电平; 补偿阶段:扫描控制线、 所述第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第四开关驱动信 号 SW4处于低电平,所述第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3 处于高电平,驱动晶体管 TFT2、 第一补偿开关管 TFT3和第二复位开关管 TFT6为导通状态,当驱动晶体管 TFT2棚极电位到达阈值电压 Vth时,驱 动晶体管 TFT2处于截止状态;

其中,在复位阶段,驱动晶体管 TFT2放电直到其截止,驱动晶体管的 阈值电压 Vth存储在存储电容 C2中。
实施本发明的实施例,具有如下的有益效果:
本发明实施例通过提供一种采用 6T2C的像素驱动电路及其驱动方法, 使在 OLED发光时,通过驱动晶体管的电流与晶体管阈值电压无关,从而避 免了驱动晶体管阈值电压的漂移对 OLED驱动的影响,可以提高 OLED的 灰阶和画面均一性。

下面参考附图对本发明的优选实施例进行描述。
如图 2所示,示出了本发明提供的 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路的一个 实施例的电路示意图;在该实施例中,该 OLED 显示器的像素驱动电路为 6T2C结构(即包括 6个 TFT管以及 2个电容 C ) ,其包括:
扫描开关管 TFT1 ,其源极接数据线( Data n ) ,其棚极接扫描控制线( Gate n ) ,其漏极连接耦合电容 C1的第一端,扫描开关管 TFT1用于控制耦合电 容 C1为驱动晶体管 TFT2的棚极写入数据线提供的灰度数据电压;
驱动晶体管 TFT2 ,其棚极接耦合电容 C1的第二端;
第一补偿开关管 TFT3 ,其源极接耦合电容 C1的第二端,其漏极接驱动 晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其棚极接收第二开关驱动信号 SW2;
第二补偿开关管 TFT4 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其漏极接 地( GND ) ,其棚极接收第四开关驱动信号 SW4;

其中,第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱 动信号 SW3以及第四开关驱动信号 SW4由外部的时序控制器 Tcon提供。
如图 3所示,示出了本发明提供的 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路的另一 个实施例的电路示意图;该实施例所提供的驱动电路与图 2中提供的驱动电 路结构非常相似,其区别在于,存储电容 C2的连接位置有所不同,在本实 施例中,存储电容 C2是连接在第一复位开关管 TFT5的源极与有机发光二 极管 OLED的负极之间。 其他结构及原理可一并参考图 2中结构,在此不进 行详述。
相应地,如图 4和图 5所示,示出了图 2中电路的时序图,从图 4和图 5可以看出,本发明的实施例还提供一种 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路的驱 动方法,方法包括如下步骤:
复位阶段(即图 4中 tl阶段):此时,扫描控制线、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第四开关驱动信号 SW4处于低电平,第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第三 开关驱动信号 SW3于高电平,第二补偿开关管 TFT4、第一复位开关管 TFT5 和第二复位开关管 TFT6为导通状态,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚极处电位( Q点 电压)被复位,处于低电平;
驱动晶体管 TFT2的阈值电压 Vth的补偿阶段(即图 4中 t2阶段):此 时,扫描控制线、 第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第四开关驱动信号 SW4处于低 电平,第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3处于高电平,驱动 晶体管 TFT2、 第一补偿开关管 TFT3和第二复位开关管 TFT6为导通状态, 当驱动晶体管 TFT2棚极电位到达阈值电压 Vth时,驱动晶体管 TFT2处于 截止状态;
存储电容 C2的充电阶段(即图 4中 t3阶段):此时,第一开关驱动信 号 SW1、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3、 第四开关驱动 信号 SW4处于低电平,扫描控制线处于高电平,扫描开关管 TFT1处于导通 状态,耦合电容 C1被充电,使驱动晶体管 TFT2处于导通状态,灰度数据 电压通过耦合电容 C1写入到驱动晶体管 TFT2的棚极,具体地,当 Q点电
压(即驱动晶体管 TFT2的棚极电压) Vg为:
Vg = (Vdd - Vdata) x ~― ~ + Vth ( I )

OLED发光阶段(即图 4中 t4阶段):此时,扫描控制线、 第一开关驱 动信号 SW1、第二开关驱动信号 SW2、第三开关驱动信号 SW3处于低电平, 第四开关驱动信号 SW4处于高电平,且电源线为高电平,第二补偿开关管 TFT4和驱动晶体管 TFT2处于导通状态,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚源电压差驱动 OLED发光,在 OLED发光阶段,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚源电压差保持不变, 直到下一帧图像刷新。
故在发光阶段,流过驱动晶体管 TFT2上电流 I为:
I = K x (Vg - Vth)2 ( II )
将前述公式(I )中的 Vg代入该公式(Π ) ,则可知流经 OLED的电流 为:

C1 + C2 从公式 ΠΙ中可以看出,流过 OLED的电流 I与驱动晶体管 TFT2的阈值 电压 Vth无关。 其中:

2 L 其中, 为驱动晶体管 TFT2的载流子迁移率, C∞为单位面积的绝缘层 电容, L和 W分别为驱动晶体管 TFT2的沟道长度和宽度。
另外,在复位阶段,驱动晶体管 TFT2放电直到其截止,驱动晶体管的 阈值电压 Vth存储在存储电容 C2中。
实施本发明,具有如下的有益效果:
改善 OLED驱动的均匀性和稳定性,提高画面显示质量。
本发明实施例通过提供一种采用 6T2C的像素驱动电路及其驱动方法, 使在 OLED发光时,对驱动晶体管的阈值电压进行补偿,使通过驱动晶体管 的电流与晶体管阈值电压无关,从而避免了驱动晶体管阈值电压的漂移对 OLED驱动的影响,可以提高 OLED驱动的均匀性和稳定性,从而提高画面
显示质量。
以上所揭露的仅为本发明较佳实施例而已,当然不能以此来限定本发明 之权利范围,因此等同变化,仍属本发明所涵盖的范围。
Claims
1、 一种 0LED显示器的像素驱动电路,其中,包括:
扫描开关管 TFT1 ,其源极接数据线,其棚极接扫描控制线,其漏极连 接耦合电容 C1的第一端,扫描开关管 TFT1用于控制耦合电容 C1为驱动晶 体管 TFT2的棚极写入所述数据线提供的灰度数据电压;
驱动晶体管 TFT2 ,其棚极接耦合电容 C1的第二端;
第一补偿开关管 TFT3 ,其源极接耦合电容 C1的第二端,其漏极接驱动 晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其棚极接收第二开关驱动信号 SW2;
第二补偿开关管 TFT4 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接收第四开关驱动信号 SW4;
第一复位开关管 TFT5 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT3的棚极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接第一开关驱动信号 SW1 ,且其源极与棚极之间连接一存储电容 C2;
第二复位开关管 TFT6 ,其源极接扫描开关管 TFT1 的漏极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接第三开关驱动信号 SW3;
有机发光二极管 OLED ,其负极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的源极,其正极接 电源线 Vdd。
2、 如权利要求 1所述的 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路,其中,所述扫 描开关管 TFT1、 驱动晶体管 TFT2、 第一补偿开关管 TFT3、 第二补偿开关 管 TFT4、第一复位开关管 TFT5以及第二复位开关管 TFT6为多晶硅薄膜晶 体管、 非晶硅薄膜晶体管、 氧化锌基薄膜晶体管或有机薄膜晶体管中的任意 一种。
3、 如权利要求 1所述的 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路,其中,所述第 一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3以 及第四开关驱动信号 SW4由外部的时序控制器 Tcon提供。
4、 一种 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路,其中,包括:
扫描开关管 TFT1 ,其源极接数据线,其棚极接扫描控制线,其漏极连 接耦合电容 C1的第一端,扫描开关管 TFT1用于控制耦合电容 C1为驱动晶 体管 TFT2的棚极写入所述数据线提供的灰度数据电压;
驱动晶体管 TFT2 ,其棚极接耦合电容 C1的第二端;
第一补偿开关管 TFT3 ,其源极接耦合电容 C1的第二端,其漏极接驱动 晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其棚极接收第二开关驱动信号 SW2;
第二补偿开关管 TFT4 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的漏极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接收第四开关驱动信号 SW4;
第一复位开关管 TFT5 ,其源极接驱动晶体管 TFT3的棚极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接第一开关驱动信号 SW1;
第二复位开关管 TFT6 ,其源极接扫描开关管 TFT1 的漏极,其漏极接 地,其棚极接第三开关驱动信号 SW3;
有机发光二极管 OLED ,其负极接驱动晶体管 TFT2的源极,其正极接 电源线 Vdd;
其中,在第一复位开关管 TFT5的源极与有机发光二极管 OLED的负极 之间连接一存储电容 C2。
5、 如权利要求 4所述的 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路,其中,所述扫 描开关管 TFT1、 驱动晶体管 TFT2、 第一补偿开关管 TFT3、 第二补偿开关 管 TFT4、第一复位开关管 TFT5以及第二复位开关管 TFT6为多晶硅薄膜晶 体管、 非晶硅薄膜晶体管、 氧化锌基薄膜晶体管或有机薄膜晶体管中的任意 一种。
6、 如权利要求 5所述的 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路,其中,所述第 一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3以 及第四开关驱动信号 SW4由外部的时序控制器 Tcon提供。
7、 一种 OLED显示器的像素驱动电路的驱动方法,其中,所述方法包 括如下步骤:
复位阶段:扫描控制线、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第四开关驱动信号 SW4处于低电平,所述第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3于 高电平,所述第二补偿开关管 TFT4、 第一复位开关管 TFT5和第二复位开 关管 TFT6为导通状态,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚极处电位被复位,处于低电平; 补偿阶段:扫描控制线、 所述第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第四开关驱动信 号 SW4处于低电平,所述第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3
处于高电平,驱动晶体管 TFT2、 第一补偿开关管 TFT3和第二复位开关管 TFT6为导通状态,当驱动晶体管 TFT2棚极电位到达阈值电压 Vth时,驱 动晶体管 TFT2处于截止状态;
充电阶段:所述第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第二开关驱动信号 SW2、 第 三开关驱动信号 SW3、 第四开关驱动信号 SW4处于低电平,所述扫描控制 线处于高电平,扫描开关管 TFT1处于导通状态,所述耦合电容 C1被充电, 使驱动晶体管 TFT2处于导通状态,灰度数据电压通过耦合电容 C1写入到 驱动晶体管 TFT2的棚极;
OLED发光阶段:所述扫描控制线、 第一开关驱动信号 SW1、 第二开关 驱动信号 SW2、 第三开关驱动信号 SW3处于低电平,所述第四开关驱动信 号 SW4处于高电平,电源线为高电平,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚源电压差驱动 OLED发光,在 OLED发光阶段,驱动晶体管 TFT2棚源电压差保持不变, 直到下一帧图像刷新。
8、如权利要求 7所述的驱动方法,其中,在复位阶段,驱动晶体管 TFT2 放电直到其截止,驱动晶体管的阈值电压 Vth存储在存储电容 C2中。
