Further, the denture base materials of Comparative Examples 7 and 8 were inferior in cutting workability as compared with the denture base materials of the respective examples (that is, at least one of cracking and chipping occurred during cutting).
- Reference Example 1 As Reference Example 1, an example of a method for estimating the bending strength of a denture base material used as a raw material of the denture base based on the denture base is shown. It is practically difficult to cut out a test piece having a length of 80 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 4 mm from the denture base. However, the bending strength of the denture base material used as the raw material for the denture base can be estimated by performing the following microbending test on the denture base.
- -Micro bending test A fine test piece having a length of 25 mm, a width of 2 mm, and a thickness of 2 mm was cut out from the denture base, and the obtained fine test piece was subjected to a three-point bending test under the conditions of a test speed of 1 mm / min and a fulcrum distance of 20 mm. .
- This three-point bending test is referred to as “micro bending test”
- the obtained bending strength is referred to as “micro bending strength”.
- conditions other than the above conditions are the same as the conditions for the three-point bending test of the denture base material.
- microbending strength was measured for each denture base of Examples 1A, 1B, 2B, 3B, 1D, and 2D. The obtained results are shown in Table 5 below. Table 5 below also shows the bending strength of the denture base material of each example.
- FIG. 2 is a graph showing the relationship between the microbending strength of the denture base and the bending strength of the denture base material created based on the results of Table 5.
- the bending strength of the denture base material is directly proportional to the micro bending strength of the denture base. Therefore, it was found that the bending strength of the denture base material used as the raw material for the denture base can be estimated by measuring the micro bending strength of the denture base. From the graph of FIG. 2, for example, it is estimated that a denture base having a microbending strength of 95 MPa or more is produced using a denture base material having a bending strength of 100 MPa or more as a raw material. A denture base having a microbending strength of 95 MPa or more is expected to be a denture base excellent in durability (yield point strength in a compression test).
- Reference Example 2 As Reference Example 2, an example of a method for estimating the impact strength (Charpy impact strength) of a denture base material used as a raw material of the denture base based on the denture base will be described. From the denture base, it is practically difficult to cut out a test piece with a single notch having a length of 80 mm, a width of 10 mm, a remaining width of 8 mm, and a thickness of 4 mm. However, the impact strength (Charpy impact strength) of the denture base material used as the raw material for the denture base can be estimated by performing the following micro impact test on the denture base.
- -Micro impact test A fine test piece 25 mm long, 2 mm wide, and 2 mm thick is cut out from the denture base, and the resulting fine test piece is blown vertically by using a new dynestat tester manufactured by Toyo Seiki Seisakusho. Under the conditions of direction, hammer capacity 20 kgf ⁇ cm, idling angle 90 °, lifting angle 90 °, no notch, a strike was applied to a position 7.5 mm above the lower end of the micro test piece, and a dynastat impact test was performed. This Dynestat impact test is referred to as a “micro impact test”, and the resulting impact strength is referred to as a “micro impact strength”.
- the micro impact strength was measured for each denture base of Examples 3A, 1B, 2B, and 3B. The obtained results are shown in Table 6 below. Table 6 below also shows the impact strength of the denture base material of each example.
- FIG. 3 is a graph showing the relationship between the micro impact strength of the denture base and the impact strength of the denture base material, created based on the results of Table 6.
- the impact strength of the denture base material was directly proportional to the micro impact strength of the denture base. Therefore, it was found that the impact strength of the denture base material used as a raw material for the denture base can be estimated by measuring the micro impact strength of the denture base. From the graph of FIG. 3, for example, a denture base having a micro impact strength of 13 kJ / m 2 or more is produced using a denture base material having an impact strength of 2.0 kJ / m 2 or more as a raw material. Presumed. A denture base having a micro impact strength of 13 kJ / m 2 or more is expected to be a denture base excellent in impact resistance.

Abstract
Description
