Abstract
배터리 셀의 개수에 제한되지 않고 배터리 셀을 확장할 수 있도록 한 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀은 본체, 상기 본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 레일 및 상기 레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 본체의 다른 면에 형성되는 적어도 하나의 레일홈을 포함한다.
Description
본 발명은 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 전압 확장 또는 전류량 확장에 사용되는 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈에 관한 것이다.
최근 들어, 경제적인 이점, 환경적인 이점 등의 이유로 이차 전지에 대한 관심이 급증되고 있다. 이차 전지는 외부의 전기 에너지를 화학 에너지의 형태로 저장해 두었다가 필요할 때, 전기를 만들어 내는 장치로, 최근에는 전기 자동차로 그 활용 범위가 확대되고 있다. 이러한 이차 전지는 적어도 하나의 배터리 셀로 구성되는데, 그 사용 환경, 사용 목적에 따라 다수의 배터리 셀을 전기적으로 연결하여 전압을 확장하거나, 전류량을 확장하여 사용되기도 한다. 이때, 전기적으로 연결된 다수의 배터리 셀은 견고하게 지지되어야 전기적 접속상태를 유지할 수 있다.
이와 같이 다수의 배터리 셀이 전기적으로 연결되고 다수의 배터리 셀이 견고하게 지지되도록 하는 기술에 대해서는 이미 "대한민국 공개특허 제2012-0051237호;배터리 모듈 케이스"에 개시된 바 있다. 상기 등록특허는 상, 하, 측면 분리형 케이스를 포함하여, 상기 케이스에 의해 다수의 배터리 셀이 안정적으로 지지되도록 한다.
하지만, 상기 등록특허와 같이 다수의 배터리 셀을 지지하기 위한 별도의 케이스가 구성되면 하기와 같은 문제점이 있다.
첫째, 케이스 내부에 체결되는 배터리 셀의 개수가 한정됨에 따라 배터리 셀의 확장이 제한되는 문제점이 있다.
둘째, 다수의 배터리 셀로 구성되는 배터리 모듈 전체의 무게, 외형 등이 필요 이상으로 비대해지는 문제점이 있다.
셋째, 배터리 모듈의 제조비용이 상승되는 문제점이 있다.
본 발명의 제 1목적은 배터리 셀의 개수에 제한되지 않고 배터리 셀을 확장할 수 있도록 한 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈을 제공하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명의 제 2목적은 슬림한 배터리 모듈을 제조할 수 있도록 한 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈을 제공하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명의 제 3목적은 제조비용이 절감되도록 한 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈을 제공하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀은 본체, 상기 본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 레일 및 상기 레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 본체의 다른 면에 형성되는 적어도 하나의 레일홈을 포함한다.
상기 레일은 상기 본체의 외측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지며, 상기 레일홈은 상기 본체의 내측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가질 수 있다.
상기 레일에는 외부로 개방되는 냉각홀이 형성될 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명에 따른 배터리 모듈은 제 1본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 제 1레일과, 상기 제 1레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 제 1본체의 다른 면에 적어도 하나의 제 1레일홈이 형성되는 제 1배터리 셀 및 제 2본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 제 2레일과, 상기 제 2레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 제 2본체의 다른 면에 적어도 하나의 제 2레일홈이 형성되는 제 2배터리 셀을 포함하며, 상기 제 1레일이 상기 제 2레일홈을 따라 슬라이드 되거나, 또는 상기 제 2레일이 상기 제 1레일홈에 슬라이드 되어 상기 제 1배터리 셀과 상기 제 2배터리 셀이 체결된다.
상기 제 1레일 및 상기 제 2레일은 상기 제 1본체 및 상기 제 2본체의 외측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지며, 상기 제 1레일홈 및 상기 제 2레일홈은 상기 제 1본체 및 상기 제 2본체의 내측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가질 수 있다.
상기 제 1레일 및 상기 제 2레일에는 외부로 개방되는 냉각홀이 형성될 수 있다.
상기 배터리 모듈은 상기 제 1배터리 셀과 상기 제 2배터리 셀의 정렬 위치에서 상기 제 1배터리 셀 또는 상기 제 2배터리 셀의 슬라이드 구동이 정지되도록, 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈의 사이 및 상기 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈의 사이에 설치되는 정렬부를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 정렬부는 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 어느 하나 및 상기 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 어느 하나에 형성되는 정렬홈 및 상기 정렬홈이 형성되지 않은 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 나머지 하나 및 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 나머지 하나에 설치되는 스톱퍼를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 스톱퍼는 상기 정렬홈이 형성되지 않은 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 나머지 하나 및 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 나머지 하나에 설치되는 볼 및 상기 볼을 탄성지지하는 탄성체를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 스톱퍼는 상기 정렬홈이 형성되지 않은 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 나머지 하나 및 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 나머지 하나에 설치되고, 상기 정렬홈에 대응 되는 위치에 볼록부가 형성되는 판 스프링일 수 있다.
상기 스톱퍼는 상기 판 스프링으로부터 연장되어 정렬위치에 체결된 상기 제 1배터리 셀과 상기 제 2배터리 셀의 외부로 노출되는 리드를 더 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈은 배터리 셀의 개수에 제한되지 않고 배터리 셀의 개수를 확장할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈은 슬림한 배터리 모듈을 제조할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈은 배터리 모듈의 제조비용을 절감할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

도시되지 않았지만, 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 본체의 내부에 캐소드(cathode), 아노드(anode), 분리막(seperator), 전해액 등이 설치될 수 있다. 이러한 배터리 셀의 내부 구조에 대해서는 이미 본 기술 분야에서 널리 알려진 것이므로 상세한 설명은 생략하도록 한다.
제 1배터리 셀(100)은 제 1본체(110)를 포함한다. 제 1본체(110)는 장방형의 함체로 이루어진다. 즉, 제 1본체(110)는 측면을 형성하는 제 1, 2, 3, 4면(111, 112, 113, 114)과, 윗면을 형성하는 제 5면(115)과, 밑면을 형성하는 제 6면(116)을 포함한다. 제 1면(111) 및 제 1면(111)에 이웃하는 제 2면(112)에는 제 1레일(120)이 각각 설치된다. 제 2면(112)에 이웃하는 제 3면(113) 및 제 3면(113)에 이웃하는 제 4면(114)에는 제 1레일홈(130)이 각각 형성된다.
제 2배터리 셀(200)은 상술된 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 그 형상과 구성이 대동소이하므로, 상세한 설명은 생략하도록 한다. 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 제 1면(211)과 제 2면(212)에는 제 2레일(220)이 각각 설치되며, 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 제 3면(213)과 제 4면(214)에는 제 2레일홈(230)이 각각 형성된다.
이러한 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 제 1레일(120)이 제 2레일홈(230)을 따라 슬라이드 되거나, 제 2레일(220)이 제 1레일홈(130)을 따라 슬라이드되어 서로 체결될 수 있다.
이때, 서로 체결된 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 제 1레일(120)의 두께 방향, 제 2레일(220)의 두께 방향으로 이탈되지 않도록, 제 1레일(120)은 제 1본체(110)의 외측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지며, 제 2레일(220)은 제 2본체(210)의 외측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가진다. 또한, 제 1레일홈(130)은 제 1본체(110)의 내측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지며, 제 2레일홈(230)은 제 2본체(210)의 내측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가진다.
또한, 각각의 제 1레일(130) 및 제 2레일(230)의 내부에는 외부로 개방되는 냉각홀(121, 221)이 형성될 수 있다. 냉각홀(121, 221)은 체결된 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 사이로 유체(예를 들어, 공기, 냉각가스 등의 냉매)의 유로를 형성하여 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 냉각되도록 한다.
한편, 배터리 모듈(10)은 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 정렬 위치에 정렬되고, 정렬 위치에 제 1배터리 셀(100), 또는 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 더 이상 슬라이드 되지 않도록 하기 위한 정렬부(300)를 더 포함한다.
도 3은 도 2에 표기된 "I"부를 확대하여 제 1실시예에 따른 배터리 모듈의 정렬부를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 제 1실시예에 따른 배터리 모듈의 정렬부(300)는 정렬홈(310)과 스톱퍼(330)를 포함한다. 정렬홈(310)은 제 1레일(120)에 형성된다. 스톱퍼(330)는 제 1레일(120)이 슬라이드 되는 제 2레일홈(230)에 설치된다. 스톱퍼(330)는 볼(331)과 탄성체(332)를 포함할 수 있다. 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 분리된 상태에서도 탄성체(332)로부터 볼(331)이 탄성체(332)로부터 이탈되지 않도록, 볼(331)은 구름 동작이 유지되고 탄성체(332)에 구속되도록 설치될 수 있다.
이에, 제 1레일(120)이 제 2레일홈(230)을 따라 슬라이드 됨에 따라 정렬홈(310)은 스톱퍼(330)를 향해 이동된다. 이때, 볼(331)은 제 1레일(120)에 의해 가압되고, 제 1레일(120)의 가압력에 의해 탄성체(332)는 압축된다.
계속해서 제 1레일(120)이 제 2레일홈(230)을 따라 슬라이드 되고 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 정렬 위치에 도달하면, 탄성체(332)에 의해 탄성 지지되는 볼(331)은 정렬홈(310)의 내부로 삽입된다. 따라서 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 더 이상 슬라이드 되지 않으며, 정렬 위치에서 견고하게 체결될 수 있다.
이후, 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 분리시, 작업자가 제 1배터리 셀(100) 또는 제 2배터리 셀(200)을 가압하는 가압력에 의해 볼(331)은 정렬홈(310)으로부터 이탈되고, 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 원활하게 분리될 수 있다.
도 3은 도 2에 표기된 "I"부를 확대하여 제 2실시예에 따른 배터리 모듈의 정렬부를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 제 2실시예에 따른 배터리 모듈의 정렬부(400)는 정렬홈(310)과 스톱퍼(330)를 포함한다. 정렬홈(410)은 제 1레일(130)에 형성된다. 스톱퍼(430)는 제 1레일(120)이 슬라이드 되는 제 2레일홈(230)에 설치된다. 스톱퍼(430)는 판 스프링일 수 있다. 스톱퍼(430)는 제 2레일홈(230)에 내설되는 고정부(431)와, 고정부(431)로부터 절곡되어 제 1레일(120)을 향하는 탄성부(432)로 이루어지며, 탄성부(432)에는 제 1레일(120)을 향해 돌출되는 볼록부(433)가 형성될 수 있다. 그리고 스톱퍼(430)는 볼록부(433)로부터 연장되어 정렬 위치에 체결된 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 외부으로 노출되는 리드(Lead)(434)를 포함함 할 수 있다.
이에, 제 1레일(120)이 제 2레일홈(230)을 따라 슬라이드 됨에 따라 정렬은 스톱퍼(430)를 향해 이동된다. 이때, 탄성부(432) 및 볼록부(433)는 제 1레일(120)에 의해 가압되고, 제 1레일(120)의 가압력에 의해 고정부(431) 측으로 압축된다.
계속해서 제 1레일(120)이 제 2레일홈(230)을 따라 슬라이드 되고 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)이 정렬 위치에 도달하면, 탄성부(432)에 의해 탄성 지지되는 볼록부(433)는 정렬홈(410)의 내부로 삽입된다. 따라서 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 더 이상 슬라이드 되지 않으며, 정렬 위치에서 견고하게 체결될 수 있다.
이후, 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 분리시, 작업자가 리드(434)를 가압함에 따라 볼록부(433)는 정렬홈(410)으로부터 이탈되며, 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 원활하게 분리될 수 있다.
상술된 설명에서, 정렬홈(310, 410)은 제 1레일(120)에 형성되고 스톱퍼(330, 430)는 제 2레일홈(230)에 형성되는 것으로 설명하고 있으나, 정렬홈(310, 410)은 제 1레일(120)과 제 2레일홈(230) 중 어느 하나 및 제 2레일(220)과 제 1레일홈(130) 중 어느 하나에 형성되고, 스톱퍼(330, 430)는 정렬홈(310)이 형성되지 않은 제 1레일(120)과 제 2레일홈(230) 중 나머지 하나 및 제 2레일(220)과 제 1레일홈(130) 중 나머지 하나에 설치될 수 있다.
이와 같이 제 1배터리 셀(100)과 제 2배터리 셀(200)은 정렬부(300)에 의해 정렬 위치에서 견고하게 체결 상태가 견고하게 유지될 수 있다.
그리고 도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 제 1배터리 셀(100)의 나머지 제 1레일(120) 또는 나머지 제 1레일홈(130), 제 2배터리 셀(200)의 나머지 제 2레일(220) 또는 나머지 제 2레일홈(230) 중 적어도 어느 하나에, 제 1배터리 셀(100) 또는 제 2배터리 셀(200)과 동일한 구조를 가지는 배터리 셀이 추가로 체결될 수 있다.
따라서, 본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀 및 이를 이용한 배터리 모듈은 배터리 셀의 개수에 제한되지 않고, 배터리 셀을 확장할 수 있으며, 저렴한 제조비용으로 슬림한 배터리 모듈을 제조할 수 있다.
앞에서 설명되고, 도면에 도시된 본 발명의 실시예는 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 한정하는 것으로 해석되어서는 안 된다. 본 발명의 보호범위는 청구범위에 기재된 사항에 의하여만 제한되고, 본 발명의 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 다양한 형태로 개량 변경하는 것이 가능하다. 따라서 이러한 개량 및 변경은 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 자명한 것인 한 본 발명의 보호 범위에 속하게 될 것이다.
Claims (11)
- 본체;상기 본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 레일;및상기 레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 본체의 다른 면에 형성되는 적어도 하나의 레일홈;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 레일은 상기 본체의 외측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지며,상기 레일홈은 상기 본체의 내측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 레일에는 외부로 개방되는 냉각홀이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀.
- 제 1본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 제 1레일과, 상기 제 1레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 제 1본체의 다른 면에 적어도 하나의 제 1레일홈이 형성되는 제 1배터리 셀;및제 2본체에 설치되는 적어도 하나의 제 2레일과, 상기 제 2레일이 설치되지 않은 상기 제 2본체의 다른 면에 적어도 하나의 제 2레일홈이 형성되는 제 2배터리 셀;을 포함하며,상기 제 1레일이 상기 제 2레일홈을 따라 슬라이드 되거나, 또는 상기 제 2레일이 상기 제 1레일홈에 슬라이드 되어 상기 제 1배터리 셀과 상기 제 2배터리 셀이 체결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 제 1레일 및 상기 제 2레일은 상기 제 1본체 및 상기 제 2본체의 외측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지며,상기 제 1레일홈 및 상기 제 2레일홈은 상기 제 1본체 및 상기 제 2본체의 내측 방향으로 점차 확대되는 단면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 제 1레일 및 상기 제 2레일에는 외부로 개방되는 냉각홀이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 제 1배터리 셀과 상기 제 2배터리 셀의 정렬 위치에서 상기 제 1배터리 셀 또는 상기 제 2배터리 셀의 슬라이드 구동이 정지되도록, 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈의 사이 및 상기 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈의 사이에 설치되는 정렬부를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 정렬부는상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 어느 하나 및 상기 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 어느 하나에 형성되는 정렬홈;및상기 정렬홈이 형성되지 않은 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 나머지 하나 및 상기 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 나머지 하나에 설치되는 스톱퍼;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 스톱퍼는상기 정렬홈이 형성되지 않은 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 나머지 하나 및 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 나머지 하나에 설치되는 볼;및상기 볼을 탄성지지하는 탄성체;를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 스톱퍼는상기 정렬홈이 형성되지 않은 상기 제 1레일과 상기 제 2레일홈 중 나머지 하나 및 제 2레일과 상기 제 1레일홈 중 나머지 하나에 설치되고, 상기 정렬홈에 대응 되는 위치에 볼록부가 형성되는 판 스프링인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 스톱퍼는상기 판 스프링으로부터 연장되어 정렬위치에 체결된 상기 제 1배터리 셀과 상기 제 2배터리 셀의 외부로 노출되는 리드를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 모듈.
