Description

Oil pan with seal
This technology relates to an oil pan with a seal that is fastened to, for example, an automatic transmission, a hybrid drive device, an engine, or the like and encloses and accumulates circulating oil.
In general, for example, automatic transmissions, hybrid drive devices, engines, and other devices mounted on automobiles are lubricated and cooled with oil, and hydraulic control is performed with oil depending on the configuration of the device. For example, an oil pan is provided on the lower side of the apparatus. The oil pan is attached to the apparatus so that a gasket made of rubber or the like for sealing oil is interposed, and is fastened by a plurality of bolts (see Patent Document 1).
By the way, when attaching an oil pan to a target device with a gasket interposed as described above, as a general assembly operation, the gasket was placed on the annular edge of the oil pan, and the gasket was placed. The oil pan is fastened to the target device with bolts.
It is preferable to use a gasket having low rigidity in order to ensure the sealing performance. However, in the above assembling operation, when mounting the gasket on the target device in a state where the gasket is placed on the oil pan, it is particularly necessary to use oil. If the length of the straight line existing at the edge of the pan is long, the gasket is likely to fall down with respect to the edge during the mounting operation, and when mounted on the target device, there is a risk of impairing the sealing performance. There was a problem.
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide an oil pan with a seal that can prevent the seal member from collapsing with respect to the edge of the oil pan and can ensure the sealing performance when mounted on the target device.
The oil pan (1) with a seal (see, for example, FIGS. 1 to 6) includes a seal member (3) made of an elastic member,
An oil pan having a bottom (21) and a peripheral wall (22) for storing oil, and an annular edge (23) at the end of the peripheral wall (22) to which the seal member (3) is attached ( 2), and an oil pan (1) with a seal that is fastened to the target device (4) while sandwiching the seal member (3) between the edges (23).
The seal member (3) has a protrusion (35) protruding from a seal surface (34) that contacts and seals the target device (4),
The peripheral wall (22) of the oil pan (2) has a pedestal (25) that protrudes from the edge (23) and supports the protrusion (35) of the seal member (3).
As a result, since the protruding portion of the seal member is supported by the pedestal portion of the oil pan, it is possible to prevent the seal member from collapsing with respect to the edge of the oil pan, and when the oil pan is mounted on the target device, the seal The member does not protrude, and the sealing performance can be ensured reliably.

The oil pan 2 has a bottom portion 21, a peripheral wall 22 erected upward from the periphery of the bottom portion 21, and an U-shape in a sectional view at an upper end portion of the peripheral wall 22 (see FIG. 3). ) And an annular edge portion 23 as viewed from above, and is configured to store oil in a region surrounded by the bottom portion 21 and the peripheral wall 22. Further, a plurality of (10 in this embodiment) washer portions 24 formed with bolt holes 24a for being screwed into the transmission case 40 of the automatic transmission 4 through bolts (not shown) outside the edge portion 23. Is formed so as to protrude outward from the edge 23. The bottom portion 21, the peripheral wall 22, the edge portion 23, and the washer portion 24 are integrally formed, and are formed by, for example, pressing. Note that a rib shape for increasing the strength of the oil pan 2 is formed at a plurality of locations on the bottom portion 21.
The edge portion 23 is formed so as not to overlap the washer portion 24 when viewed from above, and is bent at the four corners of the oil pan 2 so as to pass through the inside of the washer portion 24, and these bent portions. It is composed of a relatively short straight portion 23l connecting 23r. In addition, the edge 23 is a straight portion that forms four sides connecting the four corners of the oil pan 2, and a bent portion 23r that is bent so as to avoid the washer portion 24, and a relatively long straight line that connects the bent portions 23r. It consists of part 23l. That is, particularly on the four sides of the oil pan 2, there is a portion between the two washer portions 24 where the edge portion 23 becomes a relatively long straight portion 23l having a predetermined distance or more. The gasket 23 formed in the same shape as the top view of the edge 23 is attached to the edge 23 configured as described above.
Here, the conventional oil pan 102 and gasket 103 will be described with reference to FIG. As shown in FIG. 7, the oil pan 102 has a U-shaped edge 123 formed at the upper end of the peripheral wall 122. In accordance with the shape of the edge 123, the gasket 103 has two side walls 132 and 133 extending downward from the gasket body 131, and a U-shaped groove is formed on the lower inner side. Further, the gasket 103 has a seal surface 134 formed on the upper side. On the other hand, the automatic transmission 4 has a flange portion 41 extending downward in a flange shape on the lower side of the transmission case 40 and a thick wall formed at the tip of the flange portion 41 so as to be in close contact with the seal surface 134 of the gasket 103. And a mating portion 42.
The gasket 103 is usually made of an elastic member such as rubber, and is attached to the oil pan 102 by a jig before the oil pan 102 is fastened to the automatic transmission 4. At this time, when the edge 123 of the oil pan 102 is attached to the bent portion in the top view, the oil pan 102 comes into close contact with the inside or outside of the oil pan 102 (that is, a method of crossing the fastening direction of the oil pan). It becomes hard to fall down. However, for example, if the cross-sectional portion shown in FIG. 7 is an intermediate portion in a straight portion of a predetermined distance or more as described above, the oil pan 102 is easily tilted with respect to the inside or outside, and as shown in FIG. When tilted inward at an angle θ2, when the oil pan 102 is attached to the transmission case 40 of the automatic transmission 4 with a bolt (not shown) and fastened, the gasket 103 is further pushed inward, and the transmission case 40 and oil There is a possibility that the assembling may be finished by protruding from the alignment position with the pan 102.
Therefore, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, there is a linear shape with a predetermined distance or more between the washer portion 24 located at the four corners of the oil pan 2 and the washer portion 24 located at the middle of the four sides. In the substantially central portion of the peripheral wall 22 corresponding to the straight portion 231 of the edge 23, toward the inner side (that is, in the direction crossing the fastening direction of the oil pan, the side storing the oil). The base part 25 which swells is formed. The pedestal portion 25 is formed so as to swell in a substantially trapezoidal shape with a long base on the edge 23 side when viewed from above, and above that, a trapezoidal shape with a long base on the edge 23 side when viewed from above. It has the flat part 25a. The pedestal portion 25 has a shape that can be simultaneously formed by, for example, press working according to the mold shape when the oil pan 2 is formed by, for example, press working. The oil pan 2 may be manufactured by casting instead of press working, but it is necessary that the oil pan 2 has a shape of the pedestal portion 25 so that the mold can be removed.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3, the gasket 3 has two side wall portions 32 and 33 extending downward from the gasket body 31 in accordance with the U-shaped shape of the edge portion 23, so A U-shaped groove is formed. The side wall part 32 is formed so that the return part 32a protrudes inward at the tip part thereof, and is configured to be easily caught by the tip part of the edge part 23 of the oil pan 2. Further, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a seal surface 34 is formed on the upper side of the gasket 3. Further, at a position corresponding to the pedestal portion 25 in the side wall portion 33 of the gasket 3, it protrudes from the sealing surface 34 toward the pedestal portion 25 inward (in a direction intersecting with the fastening direction of the oil pan). A protrusion 35 is formed on the surface. The protruding portion 35 is formed in a shape corresponding to the flat portion 25a of the pedestal portion 25 when viewed from above, that is, formed in a trapezoid shape slightly smaller than the flat portion 25a when viewed from above. For this reason, the gasket 3 is thicker at the protruding portion 35 than at the side wall portion 32 outside the edge portion 23, that is, the protruding portion 35 protrudes longer than the outside inside the edge portion 23. Become. When the gasket 3 configured in this manner is fitted into the edge 23 of the oil pan 2 so as to fit a U-shaped groove and is provided above the edge 23, the flat portion 25a of the pedestal 25 is provided. Thus, the protruding portion 35 is supported from below.
Next, a structure for preventing the gasket 3 from collapsing will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6 along an assembly process when the oil pan 1 with a seal according to the present embodiment is fastened to the automatic transmission 4. 4 is a cross-sectional view seen from the direction of arrow AA in FIG. 2, and FIGS. 5 and 6 are cross-sectional views seen from the direction of arrow BB in FIG.
When assembling the oil pan 1 with a seal to the transmission case 40 of the automatic transmission 4, first, the gasket 3 is set on a jig (not shown) and the jig is used against the edge 23 of the oil pan 2. The gasket 3 is placed. Then, as shown in FIG. 5, the gasket 3 is attached to the edge 23 of the oil pan 2. At this time, in the straight portion 23l (see FIGS. 1 and 2) of the edge 23 that is a predetermined distance or more, a force is generated to cause the gasket 3 to fall inward. Supported by the flat portion 25a, the inclination of the gasket 3 is suppressed to an angle θ1 smaller than the conventional angle θ2. In this state, a temporary fixing pin is attached to the transmission case 40 of the automatic transmission 4, and the oil pan 2 is moved to the transmission case while the bolt hole 24 a of the washer portion 24 of the oil pan 2 is aligned with the pin. 40 will be attached.
At this time, since there is a backlash in the pin for temporary fixing described above, that is, a gap between the pin and the transmission case 40 and a gap between the pin and the bolt hole 24a, as shown in FIG. The relative position may be shifted by a shift amount d. However, since the inclination of the gasket 3 is suppressed to the angle θ1, the mating portion 42 of the mission case 40 and the seal surface 34 of the gasket 3 have an area of a predetermined amount or more even if there is a deviation amount d. The gasket 3 comes into contact with each other without falling down and protruding.
Then, when a bolt (not shown) is screwed into the transmission case 40 through a bolt hole 24a of each washer portion 24 of the oil pan 2 and the oil pan 2 is fastened to the transmission case 40, the gasket 3 has an edge as shown in FIG. The oil pan 1 with the seal is mounted on the automatic transmission 4 without being pushed out of the edge 23 by being pressed to a position facing the portion 23.
As described above, the oil pan with a seal (1) of the present embodiment includes a seal member (3) made of an elastic member,
An oil pan having a bottom (21) and a peripheral wall (22) for storing oil, and an annular edge (23) at the end of the peripheral wall (22) to which the seal member (3) is attached ( 2), and an oil pan (1) with a seal that is fastened to the target device (4) while sandwiching the seal member (3) between the edges (23).
Accordingly, since the projecting portion 35 of the gasket 3 is supported by the pedestal portion 25 of the oil pan 2, it is possible to prevent the gasket 3 from falling against the edge 23 of the oil pan 2, and the oil pan 2 can be connected to the automatic transmission. When mounted on the target device such as 4, the gasket 3 does not protrude, and the sealing performance can be ensured reliably.
Further, the pedestal part (25) has a flat part (25a) for supporting the protruding part (35) of the seal member (3).
Thereby, the protrusion 35 can be stably supported, and the occurrence of the fall of the gasket 3 with respect to the edge 23 of the oil pan 2 can be prevented more reliably.
Furthermore, the plane part (25a) is formed in a trapezoidal shape having a long base on the side of the edge part (23).
Thereby, for example, as compared with the case where the flat portion 25a is formed in a rectangular shape or a triangular shape, an area for supporting the protruding portion 35 is secured without increasing the bulge (volume) of the pedestal portion 25. can do. In addition, since the entire pedestal portion 25 can be formed in a substantially trapezoidal shape, press working becomes easy and workability can be improved. Furthermore, since the pedestal portion 25 swells toward the inside of the oil pan 2, the amount of oil stored in the oil pan 2 is reduced, but the volume of the pedestal portion 25 is kept small, so that the amount of oil stored is reduced. Can be reduced, and the influence of the occurrence of insufficient lubrication in the target device such as the automatic transmission 4 can be reduced.
Further, the pedestal portion (25) is characterized in that it swells toward the oil storage side with respect to the edge portion (23).
As a result, when the oil pan 2 is mounted on a target device such as the automatic transmission 4, interference with other parts of the vehicle (for example, a muffler when the target device is an automatic transmission) can be avoided. Can prevent the influence.
The protruding portion (35) of the sealing member (3) protrudes longer than the outside in the direction intersecting the fastening direction of the oil pan (2) and inside the annular edge portion (23). It is characterized by.
Further, the sealing member (3) has a return portion (32a) protruding toward the inside of the edge portion (23) at a tip portion of the side wall (32) extending in accordance with the shape of the edge portion (23). It is characterized by having.
Thereby, the return part 32a of the side wall part 32 of the gasket 3 is configured to be easily caught by the tip part of the edge part 23 of the oil pan 2, and the occurrence of the fall of the gasket 3 with respect to the edge part 23 of the oil pan 2 is further prevented. It can be surely prevented.
And the said oil pan (2) protrudes outside from the said edge part (23), and the bolt hole (24a) which passes the volt | bolt screwed together in order to fasten the said oil pan (2) to the said object apparatus (4). A plurality of washer portions (24) formed with
The pedestal portion (25) is provided between the two washer portions (24), and the edge portion is provided corresponding to a straight portion having a predetermined distance or more.
Accordingly, the pedestal portion 25 can be efficiently provided only in a portion where the gasket 3 is likely to fall down. In other words, since the pedestal portion is not provided in an unnecessary place, the influence on the workability of the oil pan 2 is affected. (In the case where the pedestal 25 swells inside the oil pan 2, the influence of a decrease in the amount of oil, etc.) can be minimized.
In the present embodiment described above, the pedestal portion 25 is formed so as to swell toward the inside of the oil pan 2. However, if there is no problem in vehicle mountability, the pedestal portion 25 is disposed outside the oil pan 2. You may form so that it may swell toward. In this case, the protruding portion 35 of the gasket 3 also protrudes outside the oil pan 2 in accordance with the pedestal portion.
Further, in the present embodiment, the gasket 3 has been described as an example of the sealing member, but it goes without saying that any elastic member having a sealing function may be used.
Moreover, in this Embodiment, although what formed the base part 25 and the plane part 25a in the trapezoid shape was demonstrated, it is not limited to a trapezoid shape and can support especially the protrusion part 35 of the gasket 3 stably. Any shape can be used as long as the volume of the pedestal portion is reduced.
In the present embodiment, the pedestal 25 is provided only for the straight portion where the edge 23 is a predetermined distance or more, but in consideration of safety to prevent the seal member from falling down, You may make it provide the base part and the protrusion part of a gasket with respect to each linear part. In this case, in consideration of the amount of oil stored in the oil pan 2 and the like, it is preferable to set a location where the pedestal and the gasket protrusion are provided.
In the present embodiment, the oil pan 1 with a seal has been described as being attached to the automatic transmission 4. Needless to say, any device that uses oil such as a hybrid drive device or an engine can be used. It may be an oil pan attached to a simple device. Needless to say, the shape of the oil pan varies depending on the shape of the target device.
The oil pan with a seal can be used for a target device such as an automatic transmission, a hybrid drive device, and an engine mounted on a vehicle such as a passenger car or a truck. In particular, the seal member does not fall over the edge of the oil pan. It is suitable for use in what is required to prevent the occurrence.
