Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, as it is used for fuel injection into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine.
- Fuel injection valves as they are preferably used for fuel injection directly into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, are known from the prior art.
- compressed fuel is made available in a rail by means of a high-pressure pump and injected by means of injectors into the respective combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine.
- the injection is controlled by means of a nozzle needle, which performs a longitudinal movement and thereby opens and closes one or more injection openings. Since it is not useful or not possible to move the nozzle needle directly by an electric actuator, in particular in the injection of fuel under high pressure, hydraulic forces exerted by the compressed fuel on the nozzle needle, used for driving. This is in the
- Fuel injection valve a control chamber formed whose pressure acts directly or indirectly on the nozzle needle and thereby presses against a nozzle seat, so that the nozzle needle closes the injection openings.
- the fuel pressure in the control chamber is influenced by means of a control valve, wherein the control chamber is alternately connected to a low-pressure chamber or this connection is interrupted by the control valve.
- a fuel injection valve is known which has such a control valve.
- the control valve is designed here as a so-called 3/2-way valve and controls the connection of the control room on the one hand to
- the control valve has a control valve member, which can be moved by means of an electrical actuator, such as a magnet or a piezoelectric actuator, within the control valve chamber and thus cooperates with a first control valve seat and a second control valve seat. Is the control valve member in abutment with the first electrical actuator, such as a magnet or a piezoelectric actuator, within the control valve chamber and thus cooperates with a first control valve seat and a second control valve seat. Is the control valve member in abutment with the first
- Low pressure space or a leakage connection which has a connection to a low pressure area, closed.
- the control chamber is connected via an inlet throttle with the high-pressure passage and via an outlet throttle with the control valve chamber.
- Claim 1 on the other hand, has the advantage that during the
- Injection process essentially only the amount of fuel that is necessary to reduce the pressure in the control room, must be dissipated in the low pressure space. This increases the efficiency of the
- the fuel injection valve to a pressure chamber in which a nozzle needle is arranged longitudinally displaceable, wherein the nozzle needle cooperates by its longitudinal movement with a nozzle seat and thereby opens at least one injection port and closes, wherein the nozzle needle directed by the pressure in a control chamber in the direction of the nozzle seat Closing force experiences.
- a control valve is provided, through which the pressure in the control chamber is adjustable, wherein the control valve comprises a connectable to the control chamber control valve chamber, in which a control valve member
- control valve chamber is connected to the control chamber via an outlet throttle and to the pressure chamber via an inlet throttle.
- control valve chamber is connected via a bypass with the control room.
- the control valve member can open and close the bypass and the inlet throttle.
- Opening behavior of the nozzle needle can be determined.
- control valve member is designed so that it opens the bypass and the inlet throttle when it rests against a first control valve seat and closes the connection between the control valve chamber and a low-pressure chamber, and when attached to a second
- Control valve seat the connection between the control valve chamber and the
- Low pressure chamber opens and closes the bypass and the inlet throttle. This allows a low Abgresmenge to start the injection process and a rapid pressure increase in the control room to terminate the
- the second control valve seat is formed on a throttle plate, wherein the outlet throttle, the bypass and the inlet throttle are also formed in the throttle plate.
- the control valve element Bypass and inlet throttle can be opened and closed directly in a compact and easy-to-manufacture design.
- a sleeve delimits the control chamber from a high-pressure-carrying pressure chamber and simultaneously performs the
- Nozzle needle during the opening and closing movement Due to this simple yet reliable design, the nozzle-side openings of the bypass and the inlet throttle can be designed such that the bypass opens into the control chamber and the inlet throttle into the pressure chamber. In addition, for different settings, the volume of the control room can be easily varied.
- Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through an inventive
- Fuel injection valve with only the essential areas are shown schematically.
- Fig. 1 shows schematically a fuel injection valve 11 according to the invention in longitudinal section.
- the fuel injection valve 11 has a valve body 4 and a nozzle body 8, which are braced against each other with the interposition of a throttle plate 6 by means of a tensioning device, not shown. in the
- Nozzle body 8 is a pressure chamber 14 is formed in which a piston-shaped nozzle needle 10 is arranged longitudinally displaceable.
- the nozzle needle 10 has at its end facing the combustion chamber on a sealing surface 15, with which it cooperates with a nozzle seat 13 which is formed at the combustion chamber end of the pressure chamber 14. From the nozzle seat 13 go from one or more injection ports 12, which open in installation position of the fuel injection valve 11 directly into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine.
- the nozzle needle 10 is pressed against the nozzle seat 13 by a closing spring 18, which acts on a shoulder 16 and is biased against the throttle plate 6 via a sleeve 22.
- the sleeve 22 simultaneously serves to guide the longitudinal movement of the nozzle needle 10 and delimits a control chamber 20 from the pressure chamber 14.
- a control valve 30 comprising a control valve chamber 31, a control valve member 34, two control valve seats 37 and 39 and a spring 38th arranged.
- the control valve member 34 which can be moved via an actuator 41 arranged in a low pressure chamber 40, is arranged longitudinally displaceable in the control valve chamber 31 and forms at a sealing edge 50 with the
- Valve body 4 a first control valve seat 37 and at a sealing surface 51 with the throttle plate 6, a second control valve seat 39 from. At her
- Valve body side end serves the throttle disk 6 as a contact for the spring 38, which surrounds the control valve member 34 and this is acted upon by a force in the direction of the low pressure space 40.
- the throttle body 6 are both an outlet throttle 1, a bypass 2 and an inlet throttle 3, as well as a high pressure bore 26, the pressure chamber 14 with the High pressure channel 25 connects, formed. It is the
- Control valve chamber 31 via the outlet throttle 1 to the control chamber 20 and connected via the inlet throttle 3 to the pressure chamber 14.
- the control valve member 34 can open and close the bypass 2 and the inlet throttle 3 and, on the other hand, the connection of the control valve chamber 31 to the low-pressure chamber 40.
- the operation of the fuel injection valve is as follows: At the beginning of the injection, the low-pressure space 40 is without pressure or only at a very low pressure level, so that only very small forces are exerted on the control valve member 34 by it. In the control room 20 and in the
- Control valve chamber 31 is a high fuel pressure, as he also in
- Nozzle needle 10 presses against the nozzle seat 13. Since the nozzle needle 10 is in contact with the nozzle seat 13, the pressure chamber 14 is sealed against the injection openings 12, so that no fuel from the pressure chamber 14 can get into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.
- Control chamber 20 via the outlet throttle 1 nachströmende fuel in the
- Control valve chamber 31 also leads in the control chamber 20 to a pressure drop.
- the fuel pressure dissipating in the control chamber 20 leads to a reduced hydraulic force on the nozzle seat facing away from the end face of the nozzle needle 10, so that the hydraulic forces acting through the pressure in the pressure chamber 14 on the nozzle needle 10, in particular on parts of the sealing surface 15, that the nozzle needle 10 lifts off from the nozzle seat 13 and is moved counter to the force of the closing spring 18 in the direction of the valve body 4.
- a gap is opened between the sealing surface 15 and the nozzle seat 13, flows through the fuel from the pressure chamber 14 to the injection openings 12 and is injected through the injection openings 12 in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.
- control valve member 34 is moved back into abutment against the first control valve seat 37 by means of the actuator 41. Thereby, the connection of the control valve chamber 31 with the low-pressure chamber 40th
- control valve chamber 31 is connected via the inlet throttle 3 to the high-pressure-carrying pressure chamber 14.
- the control valve chamber 31 is in turn connected both via the outlet throttle 1 and now also via the bypass 2 with the control chamber 20.
- a high fuel pressure quickly builds up in the control valve chamber 31 and the control chamber 20 again.
- Control chamber 20 both through the outlet throttle 1 and the bypass 2 to a very rapid increase in pressure in the control chamber 20.
- the pressure reduction behavior can be designed on the outlet throttle 1, the pressure build-up behavior on the inlet throttle 3 and the bypass. 2
