Description

燃料タンク構造
 本発明は、燃料タンク構造に関する。
 燃料タンク構造として、燃料タンクとキャニスタとの間に封鎖弁を設け、燃料タンクへの給油時や、タンク内圧が所定値を上回った時以外は、燃料タンクを密閉する構造(いわゆる密閉タンク)がある(たとえば特開2011-226308号公報参照)。
 このような燃料タンク構造において、燃料タンク内のタンク内圧が高い状態で、燃料タンクとキャニスタの間の封鎖弁を開弁すると、高いタンク内圧が、燃料タンクの満タンを規制するバルブ(満タン規制バルブ)に作用し、満タン規制バルブが閉弁されるおそれがある。満タン規制バルブが閉弁されてしまうと、燃料タンク内の気体をキャニスタ側へ移動させることができないので、給油や圧抜きを行えなくなる。
 本発明は上記事実を考慮し、燃料タンクのタンク内圧が高い状態で燃料タンクとキャニスタとの間の封鎖弁を開弁しても、満タン規制バルブの閉弁を抑制可能な燃料タンク構造を得ることを課題とする。
 本発明の第1の態様では、内部に燃料を収容可能な燃料タンクと、前記燃料タンク内の蒸発燃料を吸着剤により吸着すると共に蒸発燃料吸着後の気体を大気開放するキャニスタと、前記燃料タンク内に設けられ、前記燃料タンク内の燃料液面があらかじめ設定された満タン液位に達するとフロートが燃料に浮くことで閉弁する満タン規制バルブと、前記満タン規制バルブを介して前記燃料タンクと前記キャニスタとを連通する連通配管と、前記連通配管に設けられ制御により連通配管を開閉可能な封鎖弁と、前記連通配管に設けられ連通配管の気体の流動を抑制する流動抑制部材と、を有する。
 この燃料タンク構造では、封鎖弁が開弁した状態では、燃料タンクとキャニスタとが連通配管により連通されるので、燃料タンク内の蒸発燃料を含む気体をキャニスタに移動させることができる。これに対し、封鎖弁を閉弁した状態では、燃料タンクを密閉することができる。
 また、燃料タンクへの給油時に燃料液面が満タン液位に達すると、フロートが燃料に浮いて満タン規制バルブが閉弁するので、燃料タンク内の気体が外部に排出されないようにして、給油燃料をインレットパイプ等から給油ガンに到達させることができる。
 連通配管には、流動抑制部材が設けられており、連通配管の気体の流動が抑制されている。ここでいう「抑制」とは、気体の流動を完全に止めてしまうものではなく、流動を許容しつつ、流動抑制部材がない場合よりも流量を少なくする意味である。
 そして、燃料タンクのタンク内圧が高い状態で封鎖弁を開弁しても、燃料タンク内の気体が連通配管を通じてキャニスタ側へ流動することが抑制される。これにより、満タン規制バルブと流動抑制部材との間の連通配管内に、大気圧よりも高圧でタンク内圧よりも低圧の中間圧領域が構成される。すなわち、満タン規制バルブの燃料タンク側と流動抑制部材側との差圧が小さくなるので、フロートが閉弁側へ移動することが抑制され、満タン規制バルブの閉弁が抑制される。
 本発明の第2の態様では、第1の態様において、前記流動抑制部材が、前記連通配管の流路断面積を変更可能とする可変機構を有する。
 連通配管の流路断面積を可変機構により変えることで、たとえば、タンク内圧が満タン規制バルブの閉弁圧を超えている場合は、流路断面積を小さくして満タン規制バルブの閉弁を抑制し、満タン規制バルブの閉弁圧を超えていない場合には、流路断面積を大きくして、燃料タンクからキャニスタへのスムーズな気体の移動を図ることが可能となる。
 本発明の第3の態様では、第2の態様において、前記流動抑制部材が、前記連通配管の流路断面積を局所的に小さくするオリフィス部材を有する。
 オリフィス部材により、連通配管の流路断面積が局所的に小さくなるので、連通配管の気体の流動を抑制できる。また、オリフィス部材を設けることで、流動抑制部材を簡単な構造で実現できる。
 本発明の第4の態様では、第3の態様において、前記オリフィス部材が、前記連通配管の内部に密着され連通配管の内径よりも小さい内径の第1オリフィス孔を有する第1オリフィス板と、前記第1オリフィス板よりも前記満タン規制バルブ側に配置され第1オリフィス板に接触すると前記第1オリフィス孔の一部を閉塞すると共に、第1オリフィス板への接触状態で一部が閉塞される1又は複数の連通部を備えた第2オリフィス板と、を備え、前記可変機構が、前記第2オリフィス板を前記第1オリフィス板から離間するように前記満タン規制バルブ側へ付勢し、前記燃料タンクから前記第2オリフィス板に作用した所定値以上のタンク内圧により前記第1オリフィス板側へ前記第2オリフィス板を移動可能とする付勢部材を有する。
 燃料タンクから第2オリフィス板に作用したタンク内圧が所定値に満たない場合は、第2オリフィス板は付勢部材によって付勢され、第1オリフィス板から離間している。第2オリフィス板の連通部は閉塞されず、第1オリフィス孔も閉塞されないので、燃料タンクの気体がキャニスタ側へ移動可能となる。
 燃料タンクから第2オリフィス板に作用したタンク内圧が所定値以上の場合は、第2オリフィス板は付勢部材の付勢力に抗して第1オリフィス板側へ移動する。そして、第2オリフィス板が第1オリフィス板に接触すると、前記連通部の一部及び前記第1オリフィス孔の一部が閉塞される。燃料タンクからキャニスタ側への気体の移動は、連通部において閉塞されていない部分を通じてなされる。
 このように、第2オリフィス板の移動によって、連通配管の流路断面積を変更することができ、複雑な機構が不要なので、信頼性が高い構造となる。
 本発明は上記構成としたので、燃料タンクのタンク内圧が高い状態で燃料タンクとキャニスタとの間の封鎖弁を開弁しても、満タン規制バルブの閉弁を抑制できる。

 図1には、本発明の第1実施形態の燃料タンク構造12が示されている。また、図2には、この燃料タンク構造12を構成する満タン規制バルブ24及びその近傍が断面図にて示されている。
 燃料タンク構造12は、内部に燃料を収容可能な燃料タンク14を有している、燃料タンクの上部には、インレットパイプ16の下端部分が接続されている。インレットパイプ16の上端の開口部分は給油口16Hとされている。給油口16Hに給油ガンを差し入れて、燃料タンク14に給油することができる。インレットパイプ16の給油口16Hは、通常はフューエルキャップ26によって開閉されおり、給油時には、フューエルキャップ26が給油作業者等により外される。
 車体のパネルには、フューエルキャップ26のさらに外側にフューエルリッド28が設けられている。フューエルリッド28は、車室内等に設けられたリッド開放スイッチ30が操作された情報が制御装置32に送られると、制御装置32が後述する所定の条件下で開放する。フューエルリッド28の開閉状態はリッド開閉センサ34で検知され、その情報が制御装置32に送られる。
 燃料タンク14には、タンク内圧センサ36が設けられている。タンク内圧センサ36で検知されたタンク内圧の情報は、制御装置32に送られる。
 燃料タンク14の外部には、キャニスタ18が備えられている。キャニスタ18の内部に活性炭等の吸着剤が収容されている。燃料タンク14の内部の気体層とキャニスタ18とは連通配管20で接続されており、燃料タンク14内の気体をキャニスタ18に流入させることができる。流入された気体中の蒸発燃料は、キャニスタ18の吸着剤で吸着され、それ以外の気体(大気成分)が、大気連通管22から大気中に排出される。
 キャニスタ18とエンジン38とは、パージ配管40で接続されている。後述する封鎖弁48を閉弁した状態でエンジン38の負圧をキャニスタ18に作用させることで、大気連通管22から大気を導入すると共に吸着剤に吸着された蒸発燃料を脱離(パージ)させることができる。脱離された蒸発燃料は、エンジン38に送られて燃焼される。
 連通配管20の下端には、燃料タンク14内の上部に位置するように、満タン規制バルブ24が設けられている。満タン規制バルブ24は、いわゆるフロートバルブであり、略筒状のバルブハウジング42内に、燃料FEに浮遊するフロート44を有している。
 燃料タンク14内の燃料FEの液面が満タン液位FL(図1参照)に達するまでは、フロート44は燃料に浮くことはなく、支持部46に支持されている。これに対し、燃料FEが満タン液位FLに達すると、図2に示すように、満タン規制バルブ24のフロート44が燃料FEに浮いた状態となり、満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁状態となる。この状態では、連通配管20も閉塞されるので、連通配管20を通じての燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18への気体の移動は阻止される。
 連通配管20の途中には、封鎖弁48が設けられている。封鎖弁48は、本実施形態では電磁弁であり、制御装置32によって開閉制御される。封鎖弁48の開弁状態では、燃料タンク14内の気体が連通配管20を通じてキャニスタ18に移動可能であるが、封鎖弁48の閉弁状態では、この気体の移動が不能となる。
 連通配管20には、満タン規制バルブ24と封鎖弁48との間の位置に、オリフィス部材52が固定されている。図2に示すように、本実施形態では、オリフィス部材52は連通配管20の内周面から連続する(あるいは内周面に密着する)円板状に形成されており、オリフィス部材52の中央には、連通配管20の流路断面積を局所的に小さくする固定オリフィス孔54が形成されている。連通配管20の気体の流動は、この固定オリフィス孔54によって抑制されている(ただし、気体の流動が完全に阻止されることはない)。これにより、たとえば封鎖弁48が開弁された状態で、フロート44とオリフィス部材52との間の連通配管20内に、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧と大気圧との間の圧力となる中間圧領域MSが構成される。
 連通配管20は、燃料タンク14内で下端部近傍において分岐されて分岐配管20Dが構成されている。分岐配管20Dの下端には、カットオフバルブ56が備えられている。カットオフバルブ56は、燃料タンク14内において、満タン規制バルブ24よりも高い位置に設けられている。
 カットオフバルブ56は、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が上昇して所定値を超えると開弁され、燃料タンク14内の気体をキャニスタ18に流入可能とする。たとえば、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されていても、カットオフバルブ56が開弁されることで、燃料タンク14内の気体がキャニスタ18に移動可能となる。これにより、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧の過度の上昇が抑制される。
 次に、本実施形態の燃料タンク構造12の作用を説明する。
 燃料タンク構造12において、封鎖弁48を閉弁することで、燃料タンク14を密閉することができる。燃料タンク14の密閉により、キャニスタ18へは蒸発燃料を含む気体が移動しなくなるので、キャニスタ18における蒸発燃料の吸着の負荷を軽くすることができる。
 燃料タンク14に給油する場合には、給油作業者は、まず、リッド開放スイッチ30を押す。このとき、制御装置32は、まず、封鎖弁48を開弁状態として、燃料タンク14内の気体をキャニスタ18に移動可能とする。そして、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が所定値以下に下がったことがタンク内圧センサ36で検知された状態で、制御装置32はフューエルリッド28を開放する。フューエルリッド28が開放されれば、給油作業者は、フューエルキャップ26を給油口16Hから外し、給油することが可能になる。
 ここで、比較例として、オリフィス部材52が設けられていない燃料タンク構造(ただし、これ以外は第1実施形態と略同一の構成)を考える。
 比較例の燃料タンク構造では、封鎖弁48が開弁されたときに、燃料タンクのタンク内圧があまりに高いと、多量の気体が満タン規制バルブから連通配管へと移動しようとするため、この気体に押されるようにしてフロートが閉弁方向(上方向)へ移動し、満タン規制バルブが閉弁されてしまうおそれがある。満タン規制バルブが閉弁されると、燃料タンク内のタンク内圧を低下させることができないため、制御装置によってリッドが開放されることもなく、給油が不可能な状態となる。
 これに対し、本実施形態の燃料タンク構造12では、連通配管20における満タン規制バルブ24と封鎖弁48との間に設けられたオリフィス部材52により、連通配管20の流路断面積が局所的に小さくされている。したがって、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18に移動する連通配管20内の気体の流れが抑制される。換言すれば、連通配管20において、キャニスタ18側は大気圧(あるいはそれに近い圧力)になっており、オリフィス部材52とフロート44との間に、大気圧よりも高くタンク内圧よりも低い圧力の領域である中間圧領域MSが構成される。これにより、タンク内圧が満タン規制バルブ24の閉弁圧よりも高い場合でも、フロート44の上下の圧力差が小さくなり、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまう事態が抑制される。
 オリフィス部材52には固定オリフィス孔54が形成されているので、燃料タンク14内の気体は、徐々に連通配管20を通ってキャニスタ18に移動する。そして、タンク内圧が所定値以下に下がったことがタンク内圧センサ36で検知された状態で、制御装置32はフューエルリッド28を開放する。
 図3には、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧と、連通配管20を燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18へと流れる気体の流量(単位時間当たりに流れる量)との関係が定性的に示されている。図3における実線L1が第1実施形態の場合、二点鎖線L0が比較例の場合である。
 このグラフにおいて、「タンク封鎖圧」とは、封鎖弁48を閉弁し燃料タンク14を密閉状態に維持するタンク内圧の閾値である。タンク内圧センサ36で検知されたタンク内圧が、このタンク封鎖圧以下の場合は、制御装置32は封鎖弁48を閉弁状態に維持するが、タンク封鎖圧を超えると、制御装置32は封鎖弁48を開弁する。また、このグラフの「開弁限界」とは、連通配管20を流れる気体の流量が、この開弁限界以下の場合は満タン規制バルブ24が開弁されているが、開弁限界を超える流量では、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまうおそれがある流量である。
 このグラフから分かるように、タンク内圧が高くなると、流量も多くなる。比較例の燃料タンク構造では、タンク内圧の上昇に伴う流量の増加量が多い(急激に多くなる)。特に、このグラフに示した例では、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧に達する前に、流量が開弁限界に達している。そして、流量が開弁限界に達することで、フロート44の上下の圧力差も大きくなり、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまうおそれがある。
 これに対し、第1実施形態の燃料タンク構造12では、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が固定オリフィス孔54によって局所的に小さくなっているので、タンク内圧が高くても、流量は比較例の燃料タンク構造より少ない。したがって、比較例の燃料タンク構造よりも、満タン規制バルブ24の閉弁が抑制される。満タン規制バルブ24の閉弁が抑制されることで、燃料タンク14の気体が連通配管20を通じてキャニスタ18に流れ、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が低下する。そして、タンク内圧が所定値以下に達すると、制御装置32はフューエルリッド28を開くので、給油作業者はフューエルキャップ26を外し燃料タンク14へ給油することが可能になる。
 なお、給油中以外でも、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧を超えた場合には、タンク内圧の過度の上昇を抑制するために、制御装置32が封鎖弁48を開弁する(「圧抜き」を行う)よう制御されることが多い。比較例の燃料タンク構造では、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧を超えた状態で封鎖弁48を開弁すると、流量が開弁限界を超えるため、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまうおそれがある。これに対し、第1実施形態の燃料タンク構造12では、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧に達していても、流量は、開弁限界に達していない。満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されないので、燃料タンク14内の気体を連通配管20からキャニスタ18に流れ、燃料タンク14内を減圧することが可能である。
 なお、固定オリフィス孔54の開口断面積は、単にタンク内圧が高い状態での流量を制限するためであれば、小さくすることが好ましい。しかし、あまりに小さくすると、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18に移動する気体の流量が小さくなりすぎるため、満タン規制バルブ24の開弁状態で、タンク内圧の減圧や給油に長い時間を要することになる。したがって、封鎖弁48の開弁時に満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されないという条件を満たしつつ、タンク内圧の減圧時や給油時には、連通配管20の流量を十分に確保できるように固定オリフィス孔54の開口断面積を設定することが好ましい。
 図4及び図5には、本発明の第2実施形態の燃料タンク構造70が、満タン規制バルブ24及びその近傍で部分的に拡大して断面図で示されている。第2実施形態では、第1実施形態とはオリフィス部材の構造が異なっている。図6には、第2実施形態のオリフィス部材72が連通配管20と共に一部破断した拡大図で示されている。
 第2実施形態のオリフィス部材72は、第1オリフィス板74、第2オリフィス板76及び圧縮コイルスプリング78を有している。第1オリフィス板74には第1オリフィス孔80が形成されている。第1オリフィス孔80の開口断面積は、燃料タンク14への給油時あるいは圧抜き時に、連通配管20の流量を十分に確保できるように設定されている。
 第1オリフィス板74の外周からは、連通配管20の内周面に密着する円筒状の円筒延出部84が延出され、さらに円筒延出部84の先端からは、径方向内側に向かって環状のストッパ片86が延出されている。
 これに対し、第2オリフィス板76は、円板部88の外周の複数個所(図示の例では4か所)が切り欠かれて縮径されており、第2オリフィス板76を板厚方向に連通(貫通)する切欠部94となっている。切欠部94は、連通部の一例である。そして、切欠部94が形成されていない部分が、複数(図示の例では4つ)の角片90とされている。角片90の先端は円筒延出部84の内周面に接触している。
 このように、複数の角片90の間が、第2オリフィス板76を板厚方向に連通する切欠部94となっていることで、第2オリフィス板76と円筒延出部84との間に隙間G3が構成されている。また、第2オリフィス板76は、第1オリフィス板74とストッパ片86の間で矢印M1方向及びその反対方向に移動可能とされている。
 第1オリフィス板74と第2オリフィス板76の間には、圧縮コイルスプリング78が配置されている。圧縮コイルスプリング78は、第2オリフィス板76をストッパ片86に向かって付勢している。満タン規制バルブ24側への第2オリフィス板76の移動は、角片90がストッパ片86に当たることで規制される。
 圧縮コイルスプリング78の付勢力は、第2オリフィス板76に作用したタンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧よりも低い所定値(図7に示す閉弁ポイントTPを参照)で、第2オリフィス板76が第1オリフィス板74側へ移動するように設定されている。
 第2オリフィス板76には、第1オリフィス孔80よりも開口断面積の小さい第2オリフィス孔82が形成されている。第2オリフィス孔82も連通部の一例である。
 また、第1オリフィス板74には、第1オリフィス孔80を取り囲む筒状の密着片92が形成されており、第2オリフィス板76が矢印M1方向に移動すると、密着片92に密着する(図5参照)。この状態では、第1オリフィス孔80及び切欠部94(隙間G3)が閉塞されるので、オリフィス部材72において気体が移動可能な箇所が、第2オリフィス孔82内だけとなる。すなわち、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が、第2オリフィス孔82によって局所的に小さくなっており、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18への流量が制限される。特に、第2実施形態では、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧を超えた状態で封鎖弁48を開弁しても、流量が満タン規制バルブ24の開弁限界を超えないように、第2オリフィス孔82の開口断面積が設定されている。
 ここで、図7には、第2実施形態における、タンク内圧と流量との関係が定性的に示されている。図7に破線で示す曲線L3は、このように第2オリフィス板76が密着片92に密着した状態でのタンク内圧と流量との関係を示している。また、二点鎖線で示す曲線L4は、第2オリフィス板76が密着片92から離間した状態(図4参照)における、タンク内圧と流量との関係を示している。
 このような構成とされた第2実施形態の燃料タンク構造70においても、封鎖弁48(第1実施形態として示す図1参照)を閉弁することで、燃料タンク14を密閉することが可能である。このとき、連通配管20を気体が流れることはなく、オリフィス部材72のキャニスタ18側と燃料タンク14側とで圧力差が生じていないので、第2オリフィス板76は圧縮コイルスプリング78の付勢力により、密着片92から離間した位置にある。
 燃料タンク14への給油時に給油作業者等がリッド開放スイッチ30を押すと、制御装置32は、封鎖弁48を開弁状態とする。燃料タンク14内の気体はキャニスタ18に移動可能となる。このとき、タンク内圧が、図7に示す閉弁ポイントTP以下の場合は、第2オリフィス板76は第1オリフィス板74側へ移動しない。流量は、満タン規制バルブ24の開弁限界を超えていないので、満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されず、燃料タンク14内の気体は、連通配管20を通ってキャニスタ18へ移動する。このときのタンク内圧と流量との関係は、図7に曲線L4で示した関係となる。
 タンク内圧が図7に示す開弁ポイントTPを超えている場合は、タンク内圧を受けた第2オリフィス板76が圧縮コイルスプリング78の付勢力に抗して第1オリフィス板74に接近し、密着片92に密着する。これにより、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が小さくなる。図7に二点鎖線の矢印L5で示すように、タンク内圧と流量との関係が曲線L3の関係へと変化する。そして、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18に移動する連通配管20内の気体の流れが抑制される。すなわちオリフィス部材72とフロート44との間に中間圧領域MSが構成されるので、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまう事態が抑制される。
 第2オリフィス孔82を通じて燃料タンク14内の気体がキャニスタ18へ移動すると、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧は、実線L6で示すように徐々に低下する。そして、タンク内圧が図7に示す開弁ポイントHPまで下がると、第2オリフィス板76は密着片92から離間する。これにより、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が大きくなるので、タンク内圧と流量との関係が曲線L4で示す関係へと変化し、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18へのスムーズな気体移動が可能になる。そして、制御装置32は、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が所定値以下に下がった状態で、フューエルリッド28を開放する。フューエルリッド28が開放されれば、給油作業者は、フューエルキャップ26を給油口16Hから外し給油することが可能になる。
 なお、第2実施形態の燃料タンク構造70において、給油中以外でも、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧を超えた場合には、タンク内圧の過度の上昇を抑制するために、制御装置32が封鎖弁48を開弁する(「圧抜き」を行う)よう制御されることが多い。タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧に達する前に、第2オリフィス板76が密着片92に密着するので、満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されない。燃料タンク14内の気体を連通配管20からキャニスタ18に流れ、燃料タンク14内を減圧することが可能である。
 このように、第2実施形態の燃料タンク構造70では、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積を、タンク内圧が高い状態で満タン規制バルブ24の閉弁を抑制する場合と、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18へのスムーズな燃料移動を可能にする場合とで切り替えることができる。しかも、連通配管20の流路断面積を変えるための複雑な機構が不要であり、信頼性の高い構造となる。
 なお、第2実施形態において、第2オリフィス板の形状は上記したものに限定されない。たとえば、図8Aに示す第2オリフィス板102のように、円板部88の外周の近傍に1又は複数の連通孔104が形成された構成でもよい。連通孔104は、密着片92に密着した状態で、密着片92よりも径方向外側に形成されており、連通部の一例である。このため、第2オリフィス板102が密着片92から離間していると、連通孔104を通じた気体の移動が可能であり、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が大きくなるが、第2オリフィス板102が密着片92に密着すると連通孔104を通じた気体の流動が不可能になる。
 図8Bに示す第2オリフィス板106では、円板部88の直径に沿って、長孔108が形成されている。第2オリフィス板106が密着片92に密着すると、長孔108の長手方向の両端近傍部分は、密着片92よりも径方向外側に形成されており、連通部の一例である。このため、第2オリフィス板106が密着片92から離間していると、長孔108の全体を通じた気体の移動が可能であり、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が大きくなるが、第2オリフィス板106が密着片92に密着すると長孔108の長手方向両端近傍部分を通じた気体の流動が不可能になる。
 図9及び図10には、本発明の第3実施形態の燃料タンク構造110が、満タン規制バルブ24及びその近傍で部分的に拡大して断面図で示されている。第3実施形態では、第1実施形態及び第2実施形態とは流動抑制部材の構造が異なっている。図11には、第3実施形態の流動抑制部材112が連通配管20と共に一部破断した拡大図で示されている。
 第3実施形態では、連通配管20の内部に、気体の流れ方向と直交する回転軸114が設けられている。回転軸114には、回転部材116が回転可能に装着されている。回転部材116は、略円形で連通配管20の内径よりも小径の円板部118と、この円板部118の中央で円板部118の径方向に延在された略円筒状の円筒部120と、を有している。図9に示すように、円板部118が気体の流れ方向(矢印F1方向)に対し傾斜あるいは平行になった開弁姿勢と、流れ方向に対し垂直になった閉弁姿勢との間で移動するように、回転部材116が回転する。この回転は、連通配管20の内周面に形成されたストッパ突起122によって制限される。
 円板部118には、外周部分を直線状に切り欠いた切欠部118Kが形成されている。円板部118が閉弁姿勢になっていても、切欠部118Kと連通配管20との間の隙間かG1を通じて、気体の流動が可能である。ただし、この場合の連通配管20の流路断面積は、円板部118が開弁姿勢となっているときよりも小さい。
 円板部118は、図示の例では、円筒部120よりも下側の部分の面積が、上側の部分の面積よりも広くされている。これにより、回転部材116に作用したタンク内圧で回転部材116が閉弁姿勢となるように回転力が回転部材116に作用する。
 回転軸114と円筒部120の間にはスプリング124が介在されており、回転部材116は開弁姿勢へと回転付勢されている。
 このような構成とされた第3実施形態の燃料タンク構造110においても、封鎖弁48(第1実施形態として示す図1参照)の閉弁による燃料タンク14の密閉時には、連通配管20を気体が流れない。回転部材116はスプリング124の付勢力で開弁姿勢に維持されている。
 燃料タンク14への給油時に給油作業者等がリッド開放スイッチ30を押すと、制御装置32は、封鎖弁48を開弁状態として、燃料タンク14内の気体をキャニスタ18に移動可能とする。このとき、タンク内圧が、回転部材116を閉弁姿勢へ回転させる程度に達していない場合は、回転部材116は開弁姿勢を維持する。流量は、満タン規制バルブ24の開弁限界FMを超えず、満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されないので、燃料タンク14内の気体は、連通配管20を通ってキャニスタ18へ移動する。
 タンク内圧が回転部材116を閉弁姿勢へ回転させる程度に大きい場合は、回転部材116がスプリング124の付勢力に抗して閉弁姿勢へと回転する。連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が小さくなるので、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18に移動する連通配管20内の気体の流れが抑制され、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまう事態が抑制される。そして、燃料タンク14内の気体が連通配管20を通じてキャニスタ18に移動し、タンク内圧が徐々に低下する。
 燃料タンク14のタンク内圧の低下により回転部材116が開弁姿勢になると、連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が大きくなるので、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18へのスムーズな気体移動が可能になる。制御装置32は、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が所定値以下に下がった状態で、フューエルリッド28を開放するので、燃料タンク14への給油が可能になる。
 なお、第3実施形態の燃料タンク構造110において圧抜きを行う場合、タンク内圧がタンク封鎖圧を超えているので、制御装置32が封鎖弁48を開弁すると、回転部材116が閉弁姿勢となり、満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されない。燃料タンク14内の気体を連通配管20からキャニスタ18に流れ、燃料タンク14内を減圧することが可能である。
 図12及び図13には、本発明の第4実施形態の燃料タンク構造130が満タン規制バルブ24及びその近傍で部分的に拡大して断面図で示されている。第3実施形態では、第1実施形態及び第2実施形態とは流動抑制部材の構造が異なっている。
 第4実施形態の流動抑制部材138では、連通配管20に、気体の流れ方向と直交する方向の駆動軸132が設けられている。駆動軸132の一端側(図示の例では上側)は連通配管20を貫通しており、制御装置32(図1参照)により制御される駆動モータ134が取り付けられている。
 駆動軸132には円形の回転板136が取り付けられている。回転板136の直径は、連通配管20の内径よりもわずかに小さくされている。そして、回転板136は、回転板136の法線が連通配管20の気体の流れ方向(矢印F1方向)と一致する閉弁姿勢(図13参照)と、この法線が流れ方向に対し傾斜する開弁姿勢(図12参照)との取りうるように、駆動モータ134により回転される。
 このような構成とされた第4実施形態の燃料タンク構造130では、封鎖弁48(第1実施形態として示す図1参照)の閉弁による燃料タンク14の密閉時には、回転板136が開弁姿勢に維持されている。
 燃料タンク14への給油時に給油作業者等がリッド開放スイッチ30を押すと、タンク内圧センサ36で検知されたタンク内圧が、満タン規制バルブ24を閉弁させる程度に達していない場合は、制御装置32は駆動モータ134を制御し、図12に示すように回転板136を開弁姿勢に維持する。流量は、満タン規制バルブ24の開弁限界を超えず、満タン規制バルブ24は閉弁されないので、燃料タンク14内の気体は、連通配管20を通ってキャニスタ18へ移動する。
 タンク内圧が、満タン規制バルブ24を閉弁させる程度に大きい場合は、制御装置32は駆動モータ134を駆動し、図13に示すように、回転板136を閉弁姿勢へと回転させる。連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が小さくなるので、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18に移動する連通配管20内の気体の流れが抑制される。その後に、制御装置32は封鎖弁48を開弁状態として、燃料タンク14内の気体をキャニスタ18に移動させるので、満タン規制バルブ24が閉弁されてしまう事態が抑制される。
 燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が低下し、満タン規制バルブ24を閉弁させる圧力を下回ると、制御装置32は駆動モータ134を駆動し、図12に示すように、回転板136を開弁姿勢へと回転させる。連通配管20の実質的な流路断面積が大きくなるので、燃料タンク14からキャニスタ18へのスムーズな気体移動が可能になる。制御装置32は、燃料タンク14のタンク内圧が所定値以下に下がった状態で、フューエルリッド28を開放するので、燃料タンク14への給油が可能になる。
 なお、第4実施形態の燃料タンク構造130において、圧抜きを行う場合には、まず、制御装置32は回転板136を閉弁姿勢とした状態で、封鎖弁48を開弁し、満タン規制バルブ24の閉弁を抑制した状態で、燃料タンク14内を減圧する。
 なお、連通配管20の気体の流動を抑制するためには、連通配管20の長さを長くする構成も考えられる。しかし、連通配管20を長くすると、周囲の部材との干渉を避ける必要が生じ、燃料タンク構造の配置の自由度が低くなる。上記した各実施形態では、連通配管20を長くする必要がないので、周囲の部材との干渉を避けた構造とする必要がなく、燃料タンク構造の配置の自由度が高い。
 上記各実施形態において、流動抑制部材をキャニスタ18と封鎖弁48の間に設ける構成も考えられるが、特に、封鎖弁48と満タン規制バルブ24との間に設けることで、中間圧領域M2の容積が小さくなるので、満タン規制バルブ24の閉弁を抑制する効果が高い構造となる。

Claims (4)

  1.  内部に燃料を収容可能な燃料タンクと、
     前記燃料タンク内の蒸発燃料を吸着剤により吸着すると共に蒸発燃料吸着後の気体を大気開放するキャニスタと、
     前記燃料タンク内に設けられ、前記燃料タンク内の燃料液面があらかじめ設定された満タン液位に達するとフロートが燃料に浮くことで閉弁する満タン規制バルブと、
     前記満タン規制バルブを介して前記燃料タンクと前記キャニスタとを連通する連通配管と、
     前記連通配管に設けられ制御により連通配管を開閉可能な封鎖弁と、
     前記連通配管に設けられ連通配管の気体の流動を抑制する流動抑制部材と、
     を有する燃料タンク構造。
  2.  前記流動抑制部材が、前記連通配管の流路断面積を変更可能とする可変機構を有する請求項1に記載の燃料タンク構造。
  3.  前記流動抑制部材が、前記連通配管の流路断面積を局所的に小さくするオリフィス部材を有する請求項2に記載の燃料タンク構造。
  4.  前記オリフィス部材が、
     前記連通配管の内部に密着され連通配管の内径よりも小さい内径の第1オリフィス孔を有する第1オリフィス板と、
     前記第1オリフィス板よりも前記満タン規制バルブ側に配置され第1オリフィス板に接触すると前記第1オリフィス孔の一部を閉塞すると共に、第1オリフィス板への接触状態で一部が閉塞される1又は複数の連通部を備えた第2オリフィス板と、を備え、
     前記可変機構が、
     前記第2オリフィス板を前記第1オリフィス板から離間するように前記満タン規制バルブ側へ付勢し、前記燃料タンクから前記第2オリフィス板に作用した所定値以上のタンク内圧により前記第1オリフィス板側へ前記第2オリフィス板を移動可能とする付勢部材を有する請求項3に記載の燃料タンク構造。
