Description

WINDOW WITH HORIZONTALLY MOVABLE FUNCTION
The present invention relates to a horizontally movable window, and more particularly, to a horizontally movable window which can keep airtightness and improve watertightness and wind resistance by horizontally moving a windowpane when a user closes the windowpane which is slidably opened and closed.
In general, windows serve as a wall body for isolating the inside from the outside and serve to introduce the light of the sun and the outside fresh air to the inside in order to ventilate the inside air and provide residents with a good view and a sense of openness.
Such windows are divided into various kinds according to materials or opening methods. According to the opening methods, the windows are divided into tilt & turn windows that the windows are opened and closed inwardly wide, lift-sliding windows that windowpanes are lifted and slid on a rail when the user uses a special hardware with a lift function, and a parallel sliding & tilt windows that the tilting function for tilting the top portion of the window at an angle of 10° to 15° and the sliding function are carried out by one handle. According to most of the lift sliding windows, a fixed windowpane is located in the middle and side windowpanes are opened and closed in the sliding manner.
Recently, such a window basically includes a window frame, a fixed windowpane mounted on the window frame, a sliding windowpane being laterally movable along rails formed on the top and bottom portions of the window frame, and hardware for vertically or horizontally moving the sliding windowpane to secure airtightness.
Such hardware includes: a framework movably connected with a hand grip; a horizontally movable part operatably connected with the framework and horizontally moving the sliding windowpane toward the window frame so that the windowpanes get in contact with the window frame; and a locking part for providing a locking function by being caught to the fixed windowpane in interlock with the framework. However, such a type window has a problem in that it needs a great power for operation because the horizontally movable part is connected with a roller for moving the sliding windowpane and is mounted below the window frame.
In other words, according to characteristics of Korean window and door culture, because the window is very large and heavy and the horizontally movable part is located below the window frame and is actuated in interlock with the roller, the hardware needs a great power for operating the window system.
Moreover, such hardware has several problems in that the hardware is complicated in structure, in that it is difficult to manufacture and assemble, and in that it is difficult to repair and replace components when it is out of order.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior arts, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a window which has a simple structure and can keep airtightness by horizontally moving a windowpane and improve watertightness and wind resistance.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a horizontally movable window which is simple in manufacturing and assembling because it has a simple structure, is trouble-free, and is easy to replace components due to abrasion.
To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a horizontally movable window including: a window frame having a guide rail; a windowpane slidably joined to the guide rail, the windowpane having a rod for setting lock when the window is closed; a guide member mounted at one side of the inside of the window frame, the guide member having a slide surface formed inclinedly; and a movable member joined to the rod in such a way as to correspond with the guide member, wherein the movable member horizontally moves in a perpendicular direction to a closed direction of the windowpane while getting in contact with the slide surface of the guide member when the windowpane(30) is closed.
First, the horizontally movable window according to the present invention is easy to assemble and can improve airtightness and watertightness when the windowpane is closed because it includes the movable member disposed on the rod mounted on the windowpane and the guide member disposed at the corresponding position of the movable member for guiding movement of the movable member, so as to make the windowpane in close contact with the window frame.
Second, the movable member and the guide member are easy to manufacture and assemble, and are easy in handling.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a window having a movable member and a guide member according to the present invention.
FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the movable member and the guide member according to the present invention.
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the guide member according to the present invention.
FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the guide member according to the present invention.
FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of essential parts of the movable member and the guide member according to the present invention.
FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged view showing operational states of the movable member and the guide member according to the present invention.
Reference will be now made in detail to the preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a window having a movable member and a guide member according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the movable member and the guide member according to the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the guide member according to the present invention.
FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the guide member according to the present invention, FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of essential parts of the movable member and the guide member according to the present invention, and FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged view showing operational states of the movable member and the guide member according to the present invention.
In the drawings, the window 10 according to the present invention may be applied to windows which are opened and closed in the sliding type without regard to forms and kinds.
The horizontally movable window according to the present invention includes: a window frame 20 having a guide rail; a windowpane 30 slidably joined to the guide rail and having a rod 40 for setting lock when the window is closed; a guide member 100 mounted at one side of the inner face of the window frame 20 and having a slide surface 20 formed inclinedly; and a movable member 200 joined to the rod 40 in such a way as to correspond with the guide member 100. When the windowpane 30 is closed, the movable member 200 horizontally moves at right angles to the closing direction of the windowpane 30 while getting in contact with the slide surface 120 of the guide member 100.
In the present invention, the guide member 100 is in an approximately hexahedral shape, has sides and a front face, and includes an assembly fixing part 102 which is assemblably fit to a protrusion guide (not shown) protruding inside the window frame 20. The guide member 100 is fit to the guide using the assembly fixing part 102, and then, is assembled at a front face 140 using a fixing member such as a bolt.
In other words, the guide member 100 includes a recess portion 104 disposed in the front face 140 and a bolt insertion hole 106 perforated inside the recess portion 104 to the assembly fixing part 102, and the bolt is inserted and assembled from the direction of the front face 140.
Of course, it is not necessary that the guide member 100 is fixed by the bolt, and the guide member 100 may be fixed by a fixing member of another form and kind.
FIG. 3 illustrates an example of the guide member applied to the present invention, which has a cover 108 for the recess portion 104. The cover makes the outward appearance beautiful because it hides the fixing member such as the bolt after assembly.
The guide member 100 has a slide surface 120 on the outer face of the side of the guide member 100, namely, on the side located toward the outside, because the side is inclined as shown in the drawing, and the opposite side 122 is arranged vertically.
The movable member 200 moving along the slide surface is in a flat plate form, and includes an inclined surface 220 formed at an end portion of a vertical surface 240. The inclined surface 220 moves the windowpane while moving along the slide surface 120.
The guide member 100 and the movable member 200 are respectively made of different materials in consideration of friction force, for instance, the guide member 100 is made of metal such as stainless steel so as to keep intensity and hardness, and the movable member 200 is made of rubber material or urethane.
Here, because the movable member 200 is severely worn out compared with the guide member 100, the movable member 200 is mounted at one side of the rod 40 by a bolt so as to be easily assembled and replaced.
In the meantime, the rod 40 is mounted on the windowpane 30, and may be different from the form, shape and kind of the rod illustrated in the drawings because the form of the rod is varied according to manufacturers, kinds, materials and hardware of the window.
Furthermore, it is not essential to mount the movable member 200 of the present invention on the rod. According to circumstances, the movable member 200 may be directly mounted on the window frame.
The present invention having the above structure can improve airtightness and watertightness by horizontally moving the windowpane 30 when the windowpane 30 is closed.
In other words, when the user moves the windowpane 30, the movable member 200 disposed on the windowpane is also moved. When the movable member 200 reaches the guide member 100, the inclined surface 220 moves along the slide surface 120, and hence, the windowpane 30 is completely closed. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the windowpane 30 moves to a distance (h) in the horizontal direction which is at right angles to the closed direction, and gets in close contact with the window frame.
