Description

SAFETY/STABILITY TOOL FOR FACADE CLEANER MACHINE
Description of the Invention
Technical Field of Invention
This invention relates to a safety and stability tool for apparatuses, that are used in cleaning of high rise buildings outer windows surfaces, and buildings facades, with protusions.
Background Art
Commonly, the cleaning of the facades of high rise buildings, including glazed surfaces, and sealed windows, is carried out by means of manual operation, by a swinging worker, suspended by ropes, or a scaffold (3D open cage) vertically suspended by a rope from the roof of the building, or by an apparatus (casing or rectangular box) with self contained means, cotroiled by an operater, remotely located upon the ground, e.g: Pat. No.s U.S.: 3298052; 3,715,774. Recently, four patents applications were published at 2013 to achieve further requirements, they are: Top-Wing Aerobotic Glass Cleaner, publication No.: WO/2013/076712; Aerobotic Glass Cleaner, Publication No.: WO/2012/0767 1 ; In- Cage Motorized Glass Cleaner Apparatus, publication No.: WO/2013/105001 ; and On-Chair Facade Cleaner Apparatus, publication No.: WO/2013/1081411. The inner details of these applications, reveal that even the Aerobotic mini- aircraft glass cleaner or the On-Chair Facade Cleaner are the most promising ones, but they are neither provided with an active safety tool, nor an active stability tool, wherein the safety tool will decrease the human and material losses if the apparatus fell down, while the stability tool can let move these apparatuses on a straight stable track, so that they would not tilt, sway, or shake, or hit the facade.
This invention is providing a tool that supports the safety/stability requirement.
1 Disclosure of Invention
Brief Description
To provide a safety and stability tool for a fagade cleaner mini aircraft, to decrease the human and material losses if the apparatus fell down, and to keep the apparatus on track to prevent shaking, swaying, or hitting the facade..
The tool is illustrated in the invention via a mini aircraft block for facade cleaning, as a selected example for illustration.
The mini aircraft block is to be penetrated by two parallely rigid and fixed ropes extending from a moveable gondola at the top of the facade, toward the bottom basket, each rope is penetrating the mini aircraft block at the top surface and at the lower surface, wherein four side cylindrical bearing are surrounding each rope at the top and lower surfaces of the block of the mini aircraft, these bearing are having a small clearance with the rope, which is having a square cross section, chamfered at the corners, to smothen the movement of the rope on the bearings, without friction.
The highly tensioned ropes will serve as a guide on which the mini aircraft will be guided to glide, but without friction with the ropes due to the bearings sets, so any faults in the mini aircraft, or a blowing wind, would not shake, or tilt, or sway it sideways. In case of emergencey, wherein the mini aircraft gets idle and no inner installed traditional braking mechanism works, the mini aircraft would not fell sideways, but it will fell down, not toward the ground where it may fell over humans, or smash and cause damages, but it will fell down toward a basket, which is provided by a collapsible net, followed by a spongy base or air cushion at the base of the basket, while the mini aircraft itself has an air cushion too, installed on its bottom, this arrangement prevents the smash of the aircraft, and may let it bounce up and down along the ropes, untile settling down inside the basket.

· FIG. 2: Illustrates a detailed 3-dimensional view for the mini aircraft fallen inside the safety basket.
Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention:
Detailed description of operation
In order to make it easy to carry out the invention, a detailed description of the parts of the invention, supported with figures is provided here, as each part has many features, it is made easy to read, by referring to each feature with a number included in the parts description text, and in the parts numbering list, the numbering of the parts features is indicated here by starting it sequentially from the number 20, whenever a part feature appears in a text, it is directly assigned its required serial number. As example in FIG. 1, the parts' features are arranged sequentially from number 20 to 21, 22...
1- Safety/stability tool 20 for mini aircraft 21 with a rotatable brush (FIG.s: 1, 2) The mini aircraft block 21 is to be penetrated by two parallely rigid and fixed ropes 22 extending from a moveable gondola at the top of the fagade, toward the bottom basket 23, each rope 22 is penetrating the mini aircraft block 21 at the top surface and at the lower surface, wherein a set of four side cylindrical bearings 24 are surrounding each rope 22 at the top and lower surfaces of the block 21 of the mini aircraft, these bearings
24 are having a small clearance with the rope 22, which is having a square cross section, chamfered at the corners, to smothen the movement of the rope 22 on the bearings 24, and to prevent it from jamming. The highly tensioned ropes 22 will serve as a guide, over which the mini aircraft 21 is guided to slide, but without friction with the ropes 22 due to the bearings sets 24, so any fault in the mini aircraft 21, or a blowing wind, would not shake, or tilt, or sway it sideways.
Note 1 : Mini air crafts normally shake or tilt side ways even to a limited range, but that can affect the touch of the rotatable firm brush with the facade, which affects the quality of the cleaning, but when using such ropes 22, the mini air craft 21, moves up and down the facade with a perfect fixed horizontal destance from the facade.
Note 2: Each bearing set is made of four bearings 24 arranged in a cross shape around the rope 22.
In case of emergencey, wherein the mini aircraft 21 gets idle, while an inner installed traditional braking mechanism does not work, the mini aircraft 21 would not fell sideways, but it will fell down, not toward the ground where it may fell over humans, or smash and cause damages, but it will fell down toward a basket 23, which is provided by a collapsible net 25, then toward a spongy base (air cushion) 26 at the base, while the mini aircraft 21 itself has an air cushion 27 too, installed on its bottom, this arrangement will prevent the smash of the aircraft 21, and may let it bounce up and down along the ropes 22, until settling down inside the basket 23.
Industrial applicability
The subject invention has the following benefits, which make it easier to be industrially applicable: 1- The safety/stability tool, can be easily manufactured from available materials which are used successfully in other types of arts with easy modifications.
2- No expensive electric or electronic devices are required.
3- More compact and cheaper design.
4- Perfect stability and perfect fixed horizontal distance in-between the mini aircraft and the facade, results in effective cleaning of the whole facade parts in-between the protrusions.
5- Perfect stability and perfect fixed horizontal distance in-between the mini aircraft and the facade, results in effective wiping of the whole facade parts in-between the protrusions.
6- Active cheap safety system for the cleaner apparatus and the cleaning tools.
