- a second light scattering pattern 242 may be formed on the rear surface 241 of the second LGP 240.
- the second LGP 240 is positioned so as not to overlap with the preset area PA. Since the light scattering pattern does not exist in the portion overlapping the symbol selection area of the reel 300 at the back and the front and rear direction, the symbol selection area of the reel 300 may be more clearly seen from the front. Meanwhile, when the second light scattering pattern 242 is formed on the rear surface 241 of the second LGP 240, the second LGP 240 is positioned to overlap the predetermined area PA in the front-rear direction. It is possible to improve the optical characteristics by preventing the symbol selection area of the reel 300 at the rear from being visible from the front and making the light evenly spread over the entire image display area of the liquid crystal display 200.
- the first reflective sheet 233 may be provided to cover the rear surface of the first light scattering pattern 232, and the second reflective sheet 243 may be provided to cover the rear surface of the second light scattering pattern 242. .
- the reflective sheets 233 and 243 are provided, the light introduced into the light guide plates 230 and 240 may be more advanced toward the liquid crystal panel 201, thereby improving the overall light efficiency.
- the backlight unit 202 may include a light guide member 250 for guiding a part of the light emitted from the light source 220 to flow into the second light guide plate 240.
- the light source 220 may be disposed adjacent to one end of the first light guide plate 230 (the lower end in FIGS. 2 and 3), and the light guide member 250 may be disposed on the first light guide plate 230. May be disposed adjacent to either end of the (i.e., top in FIGS. 2 and 3).
- the light guide member 250 When one end 251 of the light guide member 250 is in close contact with one end of the first light guide plate 230 and the other end 253 is in a position where the second light guide plate 240 overlaps with the preset area PA. 3 may be formed to be in close contact with an end of the second LGP 240 (ie, an upper end in FIG. 3).
- the light guide member 250 may include a connecting portion 255 to be connected to the rear end of the first light guide plate 230. And as shown in the figure, the connecting portion 255 may have a curved shape.
- the second LGP 240 when the second LGP 240 is in the position shown in FIG. 3, some of the light emitted from the light source 220 passes through one end 251 of the light guide member 250 through the upper end of the first LGP 230. After the inflow to the second light guide plate 240 through the other end 253 through the connecting portion 255 may be introduced. As a result, the light may be uniformly distributed to the entire image display area of the liquid crystal display 200, thereby ensuring good display characteristics.
- FIG. 6 is a view illustrating a backlight unit according to another embodiment of the present invention.
- the light guide member 260 may have a flat plate shape disposed behind the first light guide plate 230.
- the light guide member 260 may be disposed side by side behind the first light guide plate 230.
- the light source 220 may be disposed to irradiate light to the first LGP 230 and the light guide member 260, respectively. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the light source 220 may be disposed to be adjacent to an upper end of the first light guide plate 230 and an upper end of the light guide member 260 that are arranged side by side. In this case, two light sources 220 may be provided to be adjacent to an upper end of the first LGP 230 and an upper end of the light guide member 260. Meanwhile, in another embodiment, one light source 220 may be provided and light emitted from the light source 220 may be divided into an upper end of the first LGP 230 and an upper end of the light guide member 260 to be incident.
- the light cover 221 may be provided so that the light emitted from the light source 220 may be concentrated to the upper end of the first LGP 230 and the upper end of the light guide member 260.
- the light cover 221 surrounds the outside of the light source 220 and has an open shape toward an upper end of the first light guide plate 230 and an upper end of the light guide member 260, so that light emitted from the light source 220 is directed outward. It is possible to prevent leakage and to flow into the upper end of the first light guide plate 230 and the upper end of the light guide member 260.
- the driving unit 270 may include a fixing frame 271 that is fixed to the second light guide plate 240. As shown in FIG. 7, the fixing frame 271 may be fixed to the second light guide plate 240 while being positioned on the rear surface of the second light guide plate 240. For convenience of illustration, a detailed connection relationship between the fixed frame 271 and the second light guide plate 240 is omitted.
- the sliding member 273 is connected to the fixed frame 271, and the sliding member 273 is formed to be movable in the vertical direction.
- the sliding member 273 may be implemented as a belt.
- an actuator 275 may be provided to provide a driving force for moving the sliding member 273 in the up and down direction.
- the actuator 275 may be an electric motor.
- the actuator 275 may include an output shaft 274 that rotates, and a gear tooth 276 may be formed on the output shaft 274.
- a gear tooth 272 meshing with the actuator 275 and the gear tooth 276 may be formed on an inner side surface of the belt 273.
- the upper and lower sides of the second light guide plate 240 may be provided with rotary shafts 277 and 279 which are installed in a rotatable state, respectively, and the gears meshed with the gear teeth of the belt 273 on the rotary shafts 277 and 279. Teeth 278 and 280 may be formed, respectively.
- the rotation shafts 277 and 279 may be rotatably installed in a frame, not shown.
- the belt 273 engaged with the actuator 275 rotates.
- the fixing frame 271 fixed to the belt 273 is rotated, and the second light guide plate 240 may be raised or lowered according to the rotation direction of the belt 273.
- the position of the second light guide plate 240 may be determined by the operation of the driving unit 270, so that the second light guide plate 240 overlaps the predetermined area PA in the front-rear direction (the state shown in FIG. 3). ) Or a position (state shown in FIG. 5) which does not overlap with the preset area PA in the front-rear direction can be selectively positioned.
- a controller may be provided to control the operation of the actuator 275.
- the controller may provide a control signal for adjusting the position of the second light guide plate 240 according to an external input.
- the actuator 275 may be output to drive the actuator 275.
- the symbol selection area of the reel 300 is not visible from the front, and the image is displayed in the entire image display area of the liquid crystal panel 201.
- the liquid crystal panel 201 can operate as a normal display device.
- the preset area PA of the liquid crystal panel 201 is in a transparent state (for example, a normally white state).
- the liquid crystal alignment is controlled to be) so that the symbol selection area of the reel 300 can be seen from the front through the preset area PA. Accordingly, if necessary, an image may be displayed on the entire image display area of the liquid crystal panel 201 or the symbol selection area of the reel 300 may be visible from the front through the preset area PA.
- the present invention can be applied to a game machine or the like and thus has industrial applicability.
