- the high-temperature exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust passage 121 acts on the heat receiving substrate 129 of the thermoelectric conversion module 122, and the low-temperature cooling water flowing through the cooling water pipe 123 acts on the heat dissipation substrate 130 of the thermoelectric conversion module 122.
- Power generation is performed by the temperature difference between the heat receiving substrate 129 and the heat dissipation substrate 130 of the conversion module 122.
- the generated electric power is supplied to the battery via a cable (not shown), and the battery is charged.
- the engine 101 becomes high and the pressure of the exhaust gas increases, so the pressure of the exhaust gas G introduced into the exhaust pipe 104 increases, and the on-off valve 125 is released. .
- the thermostat 111 blocks communication between the bypass pipe 112 and the reflux pipe 109, the cooling water led out from the engine 101 through the lead-out pipe 108 is led out to the reflux pipe 109 through the radiator 107. It is determined whether or not this is the case (step S104).
- step S104 determines that the differential pressure between the reference pressure P101 and the pressure P102 is less than the threshold value P0, the ECU 148 determines that the exhaust pipe 120 is not perforated and ends the process. .
- ECU 148 determines in step S3 that the differential pressure between reference pressure P101 and pressure P102 is equal to or greater than threshold value P0, ECU 148 determines that the exhaust pipe 120 has been perforated.
- the exhaust passage 121 is acidic in an area where the fuel has a high sulfur content. Condensed water is generated, and a hole may be formed in the exhaust pipe 120 due to the corrosive action of the condensed water.
- thermoelectric conversion module 122 In this case, the exhaust gas leaks from the exhaust pipe 120 to the module chamber 126, and the thermoelectric conversion module 122 is exposed to the exhaust gas, the thermoelectric conversion module 122 is deteriorated and the power generation efficiency of the thermoelectric conversion module 122 is lowered. There is a fear.
- the cooling water pipe 123 is corroded by the condensed water leaking into the module chamber 126 with the passage of time, and the cooling water leaks out from the cooling water pipe 123, which may deteriorate the cooling performance of the engine 101.
- the exhaust pipe 120 It is determined that the gas is leaked from the exhaust pipe 120 to the module chamber 126 and an abnormal signal is output to the warning device 149 (step S105).
- thermoelectric power generation device 117 it is possible to prompt the user to recognize the warning by the warning device 149 and to recognize that the abnormality of the thermoelectric power generation device 117 has occurred, and to perform work such as repair and replacement of the thermoelectric power generation device 117.
- the ECU 148 detects a pressure change in the module chamber 126 that houses the thermoelectric conversion module 122, and the exhaust gas leaks from the module chamber 126 based on the pressure change in the module chamber 126. Therefore, it is possible to detect the exhaust gas fluid leak due to the opening of the exhaust pipe 120 at an early stage.
- thermoelectric conversion module 122 For this reason, it is possible to prevent exhaust gas from leaking into the module chamber 126 and thereby deteriorating the thermoelectric conversion module 122, thereby preventing the power generation efficiency of the thermoelectric conversion module 122 from decreasing.
- the ECU 148 can diagnose exhaust gas leakage before the cooling water pipe 123 is perforated, it is possible to reliably prevent the cooling water from leaking from the cooling water pipe 123, and the engine 101. It is possible to prevent the cooling performance from deteriorating.
- the ECU 148 of the present embodiment sets the pressure in the module chamber 126 without exhaust gas leakage as the reference pressure P101, and the difference between the reference pressure P101 and the pressure in the module chamber 126 is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value P0. Therefore, the exhaust gas leakage in the module chamber 126 is diagnosed, so that the exhaust gas leakage in the module chamber 126 can be diagnosed easily and early.
- the ECU 148 of the present embodiment corrects the reference pressure P101 according to the temperature of the module chamber 126, and compares the difference between the corrected reference pressure P101 and the pressure P102 of the module chamber 126. Diagnosis can be performed with high accuracy.
- the reference pressure P101 is a fixed value
- the true value of the reference pressure P101 changes when the temperature of the module chamber 126 changes, and the reference pressure P101 (fixed value) deviates from the true value. End up.
- the reference pressure P1 is shifted to the lower side with respect to the true value. It becomes a state.
- the reference pressure P1 (fixed value) may be close to the pressure P102 in the module chamber 126 when the exhaust gas leak in the module chamber 126 occurs.
- the ECU 148 of the present embodiment corrects the reference pressure P101 according to the temperature of the module chamber 126, so that the reference pressure P101 is prevented from deviating from its true value due to the temperature change of the module chamber 126. be able to.
- the ECU 148 of the present embodiment issues a warning by the warning device 149 on condition that the exhaust gas leak in the module chamber 126 has been diagnosed, so that the user can be notified that an exhaust leak in the module chamber 126 has occurred. It is possible to prompt the user to perform work such as repair and replacement of the thermoelectric generator 117.

Based on this, the exhaust gas leakage in the module chamber 126 is diagnosed.
- the pressure change in the module chamber 126 can be detected with high accuracy, and the diagnostic accuracy of exhaust gas leakage can be improved.
- the threshold value P0 may be a constant value, and may be set to increase as the pressure in the module chamber 126 increases and decrease as the pressure decreases.
- the pressure in the module chamber 126 may be set in advance to a reference pressure P103 composed of an arbitrary negative pressure.
- the relative pressure is ⁇ 30 ° C. when the temperature of the module chamber 126 is ⁇ 30 ° C. 84 kPa, the temperature of the module chamber 126 is 400 ° C., and the relative pressure is ⁇ 55 kPa.
- the basic map is assigned a reference pressure P103 every 10 ° C., for example.
- the numerical value of these temperature and the reference pressure P103 is an illustration, Comprising: It is not limited to this.
- the ECU 148 reads the reference pressure P103 corresponding to the temperature of the module chamber 126 detected by the temperature sensor 143 with reference to the basic map, and the current pressure P102 and the reference pressure P103 of the module chamber 126 detected by the pressure sensor 142 Compare
