Abstract

Proceso para la producción de 2,3-BUTANODIOL mediante cepas mejoradas de Raoultella planticola, se refiere a nuevas cepas mutantes obtenidas por mutagénesis al azar a partir de la especie bacteriana Raoultella planticola CECT843 con capacidad productora industrial de 2,3-butanodiol a partir de glicerol. La presente invención se refiere preferentemente a las cepas de Rauoltella planticola denominadas IA1 y IIIA3, y depositadas en la Colección Española de Cultivos Tipo (CECT) con n° de depósito CECT8158 (correspondiente a la cepa denominada, IA1 ) y CECT8159 (correspondiente a la cepa denominada, IIIA3). La presente invención refiere igualmente a un proceso de obtención de 2,3-butanodiol a partir de glicerol mediante un proceso biotecnológico utilizando las nuevas cepas de la invención.
