Definitions
- the present invention relates to a universal cleansing detergent composition in the form of an effervescent tablet for dissolving in the wash water, easily transportable and storable and fast acting.
- the present invention also relates to the use of said composition for cleaning various surfaces, such as hard surfaces such as floors, walls, glass, work surfaces, ceramics, synthetic, natural, porcelain, metal surfaces, plastic surfaces, surfaces of appliances or sanitary ware, etc., or any kind of soft surfaces such as fabrics.
- the present invention also relates to the use of the detergent composition object of the present invention for the manufacture of effervescent tablets useful for use in immediate disintegration detergent compositions in contact with an aqueous solution.
- the universal cleaners sector has evolved towards a considerable reduction in sales prices. This price reduction has been gradually affecting the quality of the product, producing an inverse curve in terms of quality / price ratio.
- detergent compositions in the form of tablets have been developed in the state of the art, taking into account that they have several advantages over detergent compositions in liquid form, such as ease of use and handling, convenient dosing and ease Transport and storage and product stability and packaging savings.
- the tablets are compact therefore use little packaging, compared to the amount of conditioned detergent product. Logistics and storage become less expensive, and for the consumer the use is easier since it is enough, for cleaning a given surface, to dissolve a tablet in a given amount of water.
- the dosage is therefore simple and reproducible from one cleaning operation to another.
- said tablets are generally packaged individually, or two by two, in individual sachets that make them insensitive to moisture during prolonged storage periods, since they do not run the risk of hardening, or on the contrary of break up.
- active but chemically unstable components may be available, which are created and released only at the time of use of the cleaner. It can be a bleaching agent or biocide, for example nascent oxygen, peroxides, for example hydrogen peroxide. This involves using in the compressed two compounds that react chemically at the time of dissolution of the tablet in water, to create at least one new active compound.
- detergents in tablets have not achieved an introduction in the market of universal detergents, despite the multiple advantages they present, especially in terms of their comfort of use: They dose easily, take up little and it is easy to know how many doses are left.
- One of the requirements for formulating a tablet detergent is that it quickly disintegrates upon contact with the wash water.
- tablette means any tablet or tablet obtained by a compression process.
- a detergent tablet of the type called "universal” is understood as that which can be used for several different domestic or industrial tasks. These domestic tasks include, by way of illustration, not limitation, the cleaning of hard surfaces such as floors or work surfaces, or even the cleaning of dishes. The cleaning of the laundry can also be provided, depending on the compounds used in the tablet and its concentration.
- “useful matter” means the materials involved in the preparations both with cleaning functions, such as active agents, and with organoleptic functions (perfumes and dyes).
- composition object of the present invention leaves only what is useful for the purpose of the product achieving an optimal price-quality ratio.
- the detergent tablet or tablet composition of the invention manages to provide a detergent format for dissolving in easily transportable and clean water, without degradation of its components over time, and occupying a significantly smaller volume compared to a concentrated liquid detergent, since a tablet according to the composition of the invention of about 10 grams is equivalent to a can of 750 cubic centimeters of liquid detergent. That is, in the space occupied by the liquid detergent canister, there are about seven tablets achieved with the composition of the invention.
- The% of useful matter contained in the formulations is at least 95%, preferably greater than 96%. All the materials involved in the preparations have cleaning functions or give the product necessary organoleptic properties; unlike liquid counterparts, which have a very high percentage in water.
- the detergent composition of the present invention comprises at least% of the following components by weight, so that the individual values of the percentages of the different components of the composition are such that the total composition never exceeds 100%:
- the detergent composition of the present invention further comprises between 15% and 35% alkyl benzene sulfonate.
- the composition containing alkyl benzene sulphonate is used in formulations for general cleaning, for glass cleaning, for floor cleaning and for degreasing formulations.
- the detergent composition of the present invention additionally comprises between 15% and 30% sulfamic acid.
- the sulfamic acid-containing composition is used in formulations for cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
- the detergent composition of the present invention additionally comprises between 15% and 30% of an alkali, for example calcium hydroxide or the like.
- the composition containing the alkali is used in formulations for degreasers.
- the individual values of the percentages of the different components are such that the total composition never exceeds 100%.
- Hydrogen carbonate as an effervescent vehicle upon contact with water, produces the perfect dissolution of the detergent in the entire volume of water immediately.
- composition of the invention also includes the optional inclusion of the necessary amount of this component, typically an amount between 0.1% and 1% by weight on the total composition and / or perfume in an amount between 5% and 10% by weight on the total composition.
- the different raw materials have been selected in solid and water-free form with a 100% concentration, perfumes in solid form and dyes have also been selected to give the organoleptic properties necessary for each use. .
- the premix premix is combined with sodium hydrogencarbonate and acidulant (citric acid), which once dissolved becomes a potent stain remover and excellent natural sequestrant. All this mixing is carried out in a band mixer or vertical mixer until the mixture is equitable. Once mixed, it is passed through a mill to achieve a granulometric tuning of the product, which is subsequently passed through the mixer to achieve a completely homogeneous final mixture.
- citric acid acidulant
- a premix of at least dye, perfume, alkyl benzene or sulfamic acid sulfonate and ethoxylated alcohol is combined with sodium hydrogen carbonate and citric acid, which once dissolved becomes a potent stain remover and excellent natural sequestrant.
- Citric acid between 1 5% and 20%
- the method of use for this composition is to place a tablet in a spray bottle with 750 ce of water. Wait for the dissolution of the tablet and ready to use. Product with high cleaning power for surfaces where a neutral pH is required and vigorous cleaning is required.
- the method of use for this composition is to place a tablet in a spray bottle with 750 ce of water. Wait for the dissolution of the tablet and you are ready to use. Spray on the surface at a rate of 0.5 ce per m 2 , wipe a clean dry cloth, preferably micro fiber.
- Citric acid between 5% and 20%
- This composition is to place a tablet in the mop bucket, fill with water.
- the estimated dissolution time is similar to that of water filling.
- the method of use for this composition is to place a tablet in a spray bottle with 750cc of water. Wait for the dissolution of the tablet and you are ready to use. Spray on the surface to be cleaned according to type of dirt. It has anti-calcareous properties and great cleaning power. Does not stain or spoil surfaces whether marble, chrome or stainless.
- Citric acid between 5% and 15%
