Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of images which are covered by a semi-transparent photovoltaic plate.
- Photovoltaic plates disposed in front of the surface of the image.
- This photovoltaic plate consists of a transparent plate on which photovoltaic cells have been deposited, often parallel photovoltaic strips of small widths whose distance separating them depends on the transparency that is desired; that is, the higher the distance, the lower the coverage of the PV layer, and the greater the transparency.
- the electricity generated by the plate is proportional to the photovoltaic area, it is advantageous to increase this area without exceeding a threshold which is a function of the permissible degradation of the brightness of the image.
- This compromise between a search for maximum electrical output and a minimal decrease in the brightness of the image is subjective since it depends on variable parameters such as the characteristics of the image, the ambient brightness and the visual perception of the observer.
- Certain configurations make it possible to space the image and the photovoltaic plate as desired, as is the case, for example, for fixed advertising displays which consist of an image separated by a few millimeters by a semi-transparent photovoltaic glass.
- the photovoltaic cells are distant from the image and the brightness of the image is attenuated on the one hand by the shading effect of the photovoltaic cells and on the other hand by the fact that the light emitted by the image towards the observer is attenuated because it again meets the photovoltaic cells that absorb some of this outgoing light.
- photovoltaic plate also includes “photovoltaic films” which are low-thickness and flexible photovoltaic plates.
- image includes any images printed on any medium and electronic images that use only ambient light, as well as the surface of any "object”, this surface constituting an image that may be of any shape.
- a semi-transparent photovoltaic plate on an image causes a decrease in its brightness because the light that illuminates the image is reduced at the entrance by the photovoltaic cells that obstruct the incident light and output because part of the light that is emitted by the image towards the observer is itself diminished by the obstacle of the photovoltaic cells, which further reduces the apparent brightness of the image.
- the object of the invention is to reduce the shading effect of photovoltaic cells while maintaining the same active photovoltaic surface, which will allow to conserve the same electrical power while increasing the brightness of the image so its visual quality .
- the device according to the invention consists of an image in front of which is positioned a semi-transparent photovoltaic plate.

- the distribution of cells can be to do in an orderly manner in the form of a network of geometric figures such as, for example, rectilinear and parallel strips separated by bands of transparency.

Description
BUT DE L'INVENTION
