Abstract
Description
従来、このシール機構としては、非接触シールとしてのラビリンスシールが一般的に用いられているが、ラビリンスシールは、非接触であるため、シール性能の向上には限界がある。このため、シール性能を向上するためにブラシシールが用いられるようになってきている。
回転側、例えば、ガスタービンのロータは、運転に伴い遠心力と熱によって変形し、一方、静止側のハウジングも熱によって膨張するので、ブラシシールとロータとの距離が変動する。
この変動はブリストルの撓みによって吸収されているが、低圧側に撓むとシール性能が低下する恐れがあるので、ブラシシールブリストルの低圧側に背板を備え低圧側への撓みを防止している。また、ブリストルの撓みを許容するため、ブリストルの高圧側に空間を設けることが行われている(例えば、特許文献1第10頁図8~10参照)。
このように、ブリストルが折損すると、その部分がロータに接触しない状態となりブラシシールのシール性能が劣化する。
ブラシシールのシール性能が劣化すると、例えば、タービンの出力が低下するという問題がある。
しかしながら、特許文献2に示されるものは、ブラシシールブリストルが低圧側の背板および高圧側の制動板によってロータの近傍まで動きを強く規制されているので、ブラシシールブリストルの自由に撓める長さが短くなっている。
このため、ブラシシールブリストルの剛性が大きくなり、ロータへの接触圧力が大きくなるので、ブリストルおよびロータの定常状態での摩耗が大きくなるという問題があった。
この特許文献3に示されたブラシシールは、静止部と回転部との間隔の変動をブリストル部が撓むことで吸収するものであって、ブリストル部は、低圧側の背板によって運動を制限されているので、抑制ブリストルの方向に撓むことになるが、抑制ブリストルはブリストル部の接触変形を妨げない程度の弾性を有しているので、抑制ブリストルが弾性変形してこのブリストル部の撓みを吸収し、静止部と回転部との間隔の変動に対応して接触摩擦力を増加させることがなく、定常的な摩耗の増加を防止することができるというものである。

前記複数のブリストルで形成されたブリストル部において、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に沿って配列される複数のブリストルが基端部と自由端部との間において相互に固着されて面状ブリストルに形成され、該面状ブリストルが周方向に積層状に連続して配列されて環状のブリストル部が形成され、
前記ブリストル部の自由端部側の摺動面には、円周溝が形成されていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、従来公知のブラシシールブリストルと比べて、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向(ロータの軸方向)の剛性が高く、蒸気タービンなどの高圧機器に対しても適用可能となる。
また、ブリストルの先端の差圧方向と直交する方向(周方向)の自由度が確保されているので、差圧方向と直交する方向の剛性が低く、回転部の低速時における回転においてもその動圧で自由端部が回転部の外周面から浮上でき、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができる。
さらに、回転部のコニカル振動(軸が傾いて動く振動)に対しても、ブリストルの先端が独立して動くことができるので、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができる。
さらに、摺動面は円周溝が形成され、ラビリンスシールの構造をしているので、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩しようとする流体は、順次圧力降下を繰り返し、低圧となるため、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩する流体の量が抑制される。
前記円周溝は、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に沿って配列される複数のブリストルのうち自由端部側の高さの低いブリストルを高圧側及び低圧側に面しない内部側に配列した面状ブリストルが周方向に積層状に連続して配列されて形成されることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、円周溝を高さの違うブリストルの配列によって形成することができるので、円周溝の形成が容易となる。
前記円周溝の周方向の途中にはダムが形成されていることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、回転部の回転に伴う旋回流による流体力が、ダムを形成するブリストルの側面に当たることによりブリストルの浮上力を発生し、ブリストルの摩耗量を一層低減することができる。
また、ブリストルの先端の差圧方向と直交する方向(周方向)の自由度が確保されているので、差圧方向と直交する方向の剛性が低く、回転部の低速時における回転においてもその動圧で自由端部が回転部の外周面から浮上でき、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができる。
さらに、回転部のコニカル振動に対しても、ブリストルの先端が独立して動くことができるので、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができる。
さらに、摺動面は円周溝が形成され、ラビリンスシールの構造をしているので、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩しようとする流体は、順次圧力降下を繰り返し、低圧となるため、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩する流体の量が抑制される。
さらに、回転部の回転に伴う旋回流による流体力が、ダムを形成するブリストルの側面に当たることによりブリストルの浮上力を発生し、ブリストルの摩耗量を一層低減することができる。
また、ブラシシール装置1の内周側は他方の部品であるロータ60の外周面と対向して接面又は近接した状態に配置されている。そして、ブラシシール装置1により高圧側の被密封流体の低圧側への漏洩が封止される。
尚、上記ケーシング50は本発明の静止部を、また、上記ロータ60は本発明の回転部を構成する。
また、ブリストル部2の高圧側の面には、保持部4がリング板に形成されて背板部3との間でブリストル部2の外周側の基端部6を狭持するごとく一体に配置されている。この保持部4は、被密封流体がブリストル部2の側面に作用できるように径方向の幅が狭くされてブリストル部2を露出させている。
そして、背板部3とブリストル部2の基端部6と保持部4とは、外周において溶接されて固定部20を構成し、ケーシング50の内周面に設けられた段部51に固定されている。
そして、ブリストル5の内周側の自由端部7は他方の部品であるロータ60の外周面と対向して接面又は近接した状態に配置されている。
図2のブラシシール1は、ブラシシール1とロータ60とが揺動しない正常な状態を示しており、ブリストル5は、直線状をなしてロータ60の回転する方向へ傾斜して配列されている。このブラシシール1の正常な状態では、ブリストル5の自由端部7はロータ60の外周面に接面又は近接している。
なお、図3の上方が回転部と摺動するブリストル部の自由端部側であり、下方が基端部側(静止部側)である。
上記のように、径方向の中間位置にて相互に固着された複数のブリストル5は、図3(b)に示すように、面状に形成され、面状ブリストル10を形成する。
次に、図4を参照しながら、本発明の実施形態1に係るブリストル部の摺動面に設けられる円周溝を説明する。図4においては、紙面の上方が回転部と摺動するブリストルの自由端部側であり、同下方が基端部側(静止部側)である。また、紙面の左手前と右奥とを結ぶ方向が周方向である。更に、紙面の右側が高圧側、左側が低圧側である。
この時、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に沿って配列される複数のブリストル5のうち、高さの低いブリストル50を高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に所定の幅にわたって備えた面状ブリストル10が周方向に積層状に連続して配列されることにより円周溝15が形成されるものであって、図4では、円周溝15が高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に15-1~15-4で示すように4箇所独立して形成されている。これらの円周溝15-1~15-4は、高圧側及び低圧側に面しない内部側にロータ60の回転方向に沿って形成されるものである。ここで、上記の「所定の幅」とは、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩しようとする流体が断熱膨張する際に必要とされる幅を意味している。
高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に設けられる円周溝15の数は、圧力条件、被密封流体の種類などに応じて適宜設定される。
次に、図5を参照しながら、本発明の実施形態2に係るブリストル部の摺動面に設けられる円周溝を説明する。図5においては、紙面の上方が回転部と摺動するブリストルの自由端部側であり、同下方が基端部側(静止部側)である。また、紙面の左手前と右奥とを結ぶ方向が周方向である。更に、紙面の右側が高圧側、左側が低圧側である。
また、円周溝15-1、15-2の途中に設けられたダム16、16は、ロータ60の回転に伴う矢印FSで示す旋回流による流体力が、ダム16、16を形成するブリストル5の側面17、17に当たることによりブリストル5の浮上力を発生し、ブリストル5の摩耗量を低減する。
ブラシシール1は、ロータ60が回転し、振動や揺動などによりロータ60がブリストル5の自由端部7に接触すると、ブリストル5はロータ60に圧接された状態になりながら傾斜角度を増加させる。その際、ブリストル5は、各ブリストル5の先端の差圧方向と直交する方向の自由度が確保されているので、差圧方向と直交する方向の剛性が低く、ロータ60の低速時における回転においてもその動圧で自由端部7がロータ60の外周面から浮上でき、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができるという利点がある。さらに、ロータ60のコニカル振動に対しても、各ブリストル5、15が独立して動くことができるので、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができる。
さらに、円周溝15の途中に設けられたダム16は、ロータ60の回転に伴う旋回流FSによる流体力が、ダム16を形成するブリストル5の側面に当たることによりブリストル5の浮上力を発生し、ブリストル5の摩耗量を一層低減することができる。
高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に沿って配列される複数のブリストルが基端部と自由端部との間において相互に固着されて面状ブリストルに形成されているため、従来公知のブラシシールブリストルと比べて、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向(ロータの軸方向)の剛性が高く、蒸気タービンなどの高圧機器に対しても適用可能となる。
また、面状ブリストル10は、各ブリストル5の先端、すなわち、自由端部7に近接する固着部8から自由端部7に至る間の各ブリストル5の先端の差圧方向と直交する方向(周方向)の自由度が確保されているので、差圧方向と直交する方向の剛性が低く、ロータ60の低速時における回転においてもその動圧で自由端部7がロータ60の外周面から浮上でき、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができるという利点がある。
さらに、ロータ60のコニカル振動に対しても、各ブリストル5の先端が独立して動くことができるので、摩耗が小さくなり、耐摩耗性を向上することができる。
さらに、環状のブリストル部2の自由端部7の側の摺動面に円周溝15が形成され、ラビリンスシールの構造をしているので、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩しようとする流体Fは、順次圧力降下を繰り返し、低圧となるため、高圧側から低圧側に漏洩する流体の量が抑制される。
さらに、円周溝15は、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に沿って配列される複数のブリストル5のうち自由端部側の高さの低いブリストル50を高圧側及び低圧側に面しない内部側に配列した面状ブリストル10が周方向に積層状に連続して配列されて形成されるため、円周溝を高さの違うブリストルの配列によって形成することができるので、円周溝の形成が容易となる。
さらに、円周溝15の途中に設けられたダム16は、ロータ60の回転に伴う旋回流FSによる流体力が、ダム16を形成するブリストル5の側面17に当たることによりブリストル5の浮上力を発生し、ブリストル5の摩耗量を一層低減することができる。

- 間隙を有して相対回動する静止部と回転部との間の前記静止部に取り付けられた複数のブリストルで形成されたブリストル部と、
前記ブリストル部の低圧側に隣接して取り付けられ、該ブリストル部の運動を制限する背板部と、が備えられ、前記静止部および前記回転部の間を流れる流体をシールするブラシシールであって、
前記複数のブリストルで形成されたブリストル部において、高圧側と低圧側との差圧方向に沿って配列される複数のブリストルが基端部と自由端部との間において相互に固着されて面状ブリストルに形成され、該面状ブリストルが周方向に積層状に連続して配列されて環状のブリストル部が形成され、
