嗜好情報記憶部128は、ユーザごとの嗜好情報を記憶する。例えば、嗜好情報記憶部128は、コンテンツに関し、ジャンルや俳優に関するユーザごとの嗜好を記憶する。なお、各ユーザの嗜好情報は、例えば過去のコンテンツの視聴履歴から取得することが可能である。また、この嗜好情報記憶部128は、不揮発性メモリ、磁気ディスク、光ディスク、およびMOディスクなどの記憶媒体であってもよい。また、図5においては嗜好情報記憶部128とユーザ情報記憶部132を別の機能ブロックで示しているが、嗜好情報記憶部128とユーザ情報記憶部132の機能は同一の記憶媒体により実現されてもよい。
ユーザ情報記憶部132は、ユーザ、通信端末30および表示装置40を関連付けて記憶する。ユーザ、通信端末30および表示装置40の関連付けについては図2を参照して「1-1.第1の実施形態の概要」において説明したので、ここでの詳細な説明を省略する。
使用検出部136は、通信部124が通信端末30から受信する情報に基づき、通信端末30におけるアプリケーションの使用を検出する。例えば、通信部124は、通信端末30において使用されているアプリケーションを示す情報を受信し、使用検出部136は、この情報に基づいて通信端末30における電話アプリケーションや電子メールアプリケーションなどの使用を検出する。
嗜好判定部140は、表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツが、アプリケーションの使用が検出された通信端末30のユーザの嗜好に合致しているか否かを、嗜好情報記憶部128に記憶されている当該ユーザの嗜好情報を参照して判定する。
使用内容判定部144は、使用検出部136により検出されたアプリケーションの使用内容が、表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツに関連するか否かを判定する。例えば、使用内容判定部144は、ブラウジングアプリケーションの検索ワードとして指定されたキーワードや、電子メールアプリケーションで作成中の送信メールに含まれる単語が表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツに関連するか否かを判定する。
記録制御部148は、記録装置20によるコンテンツの記録処理、すなわち録画を制御する。例えば、記録制御部148は、使用検出部136による検出結果や、嗜好判定部140および使用内容判定部144の判定結果に基づき、表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツの録画を記録装置20に指示する。詳細については後述するが、記録制御部148は、使用検出部136による検出結果や、嗜好判定部140および使用内容判定部144の判定結果に基づき、ユーザが表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツから注意が逸れていると推測される場合にコンテンツの録画を指示する。かかる構成により、ユーザが見逃している可能性のあるコンテンツを自動的に録画することができるので、ユーザは、コンテンツの見逃した部分を事後的に視聴することが可能となる。なお、記録制御部148は、ユーザの注意が表示装置40に戻った時点でコンテンツの記録の中止を指示してもよいし、追いかけ再生のためにコンテンツの終了まで記録装置20に記録を継続させてもよい。記録制御部148は、記録を中止するか継続するかを事前に設定された内容に従って決定してもよい。
再生制御部152は、記録装置20が録画したコンテンツの再生処理を制御する。例えば、再生制御部152は、ユーザの注意が表示装置40から逸れて上記の記録処理が開始された後、ユーザの注意が表示装置40に戻った場合、例えば、アプリケーションの使用が終了した場合、記録処理において録画したコンテンツの追いかけ再生を記録装置20に指示する。
以上、本実施形態による制御装置10の構成を説明した。続いて、記録処理の制御動作を説明する。
図6は、記録処理の第1の制御例を示したフローチャートである。図6に示したように、まず、使用検出部136により通信端末30の使用開始が検出されると(S304)、記録制御部148は、通信部124を介して、通信端末30と関連付けられた表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツの録画を記録装置20に指示する(S308)。
図7は、使用ログの具体例を示した説明図である。図7に示したように、使用ログは、コンテンツの出力中に検出された通信端末30における使用内容および使用期間を示す。図7に示した使用ログは、表示装置40がDigital_8chを出力している間に、ユーザAの通信端末30の電話アプリケーションが使用されたことを示す。
なお、図6においては、通信端末30の使用が検出されると、使用が終了するまでコンテンツの録画が継続される例を説明したが、本実施形態はかかる例に限定されない。例えば、制御装置10は、コンテンツの録画が開始された場合、図9に示すようにコンテンツの録画の実行を通知する画面を通信端末30に表示させ、当該画面におけるユーザの操作入力に応じて録画処理を制御してもよい。具体的には、制御装置10は、図9に示した画面においてユーザに「#」を押された場合、録画の中止を記録装置20に指示してもよい。かかる構成により、録画が行われていることをユーザに通知することが可能になると共に、ユーザの意思を録画制御に反映させることが可能となる。
図10は、記録処理の第2の制御例を示したフローチャートである。図10に示したように、まず、使用検出部136により通信端末30の使用開始が検出されると(S352)、使用内容判定部144が、使用検出部136により検出された通信端末30の使用内容が、表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツに関連するか否かを判定する(S356)。ここで、通信端末30の使用内容とコンテンツに関連性が有ると判定された場合、ユーザはコンテンツの視聴を継続していると考えられるので、制御装置10はコンテンツの録画を指示しない。
以上、本実施形態による記録処理の制御動作を説明した。続いて、図11を参照し、再生処理の制御動作を説明する。
以上、本開示の第1の実施形態を説明した。続いて、本開示の第2の実施形態を説明する。第1の実施形態では、通信端末30の使用に応じてコンテンツを記録する例を説明したが、第2の実施形態では、通信端末30の使用に応じてタイミングデータとして機能する使用ログを記録することができる。以下、このような第2の実施形態について説明する。
図12は、第2の実施形態による制御システムを示した説明図である。図12に示したように、第2の実施形態による制御システムは、通信網12と、通信端末30と、表示装置40と、制御サーバ50と、ストリーミングサーバ60と、を備える。通信端末30、表示装置40、制御サーバ50、およびストリーミングサーバ60は通信網12を介して接続される。
第1の実施形態で説明したように、表示装置40がコンテンツを出力している間、ユーザの注意が表示装置40から逸れて、ユーザがコンテンツを見逃してしまう場合があり得る。例えば、ユーザが通信端末30への着信に応じて電話アプリケーションを使用すると、ユーザは電話中に出力されたコンテンツを見逃してしまう場合がある。
制御サーバ50は、ユーザの注意が表示装置40から逸れて上記の記録処理が行われた後、ユーザの注意が表示装置40に戻った場合、例えば、アプリケーションの使用が終了した場合、使用ログを記録したコンテンツの追いかけ再生をストリーミングサーバ60に指示する。
以上、第2の実施形態による制御システムの概要を説明した。続いて、第2の実施形態による制御システムに含まれる制御サーバ50の構成を説明する。
通信部524は、制御システムを構成する他の装置とのインタフェースである。例えば、通信部524は、表示装置40が出力しているコンテンツを示す情報を表示装置40またはストリーミングサーバ60から受信し、通信端末30におけるアプリケーションの使用状況を示す情報を通信端末30から受信する。また、通信部524は、コンテンツの再生指示をストリーミングサーバ60に送信する。
使用ログ記録部548は、通信端末30の使用履歴を示す使用ログを使用ログ記憶部550に記録する。例えば、使用ログ記録部548は、使用検出部136による検出結果や、嗜好判定部140および使用内容判定部144の判定結果に基づき、表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツに関する使用ログを使用ログ記憶部550に記録する。より具体的に説明すると、使用ログ記録部548は、使用検出部136による検出結果や、嗜好判定部140および使用内容判定部144の判定結果に基づき、ユーザが表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツから注意が逸れていると推測される場合に使用ログを使用ログ記憶部550に記録する。また、使用ログ記録部548は、ユーザが事後的に再生する可能性が高いと考えられるコンテンツが出力されている場合に使用ログを使用ログ記憶部550に記録してもよい。なお、ユーザが表示装置40で出力されているコンテンツから注意が逸れているか否かの判定、および、ユーザが事後的にコンテンツを再生する可能性の判定については、「1-4.記録処理の制御動作」で説明した通りであるので、ここでの詳細な説明を省略する。
使用ログ記憶部550は、ユーザ、コンテンツ、および通信端末30の使用ログを関連付けて記憶する。図14を参照し、使用ログについて具体的に説明する。
再生制御部552は、ストリーミングサーバ60によるストリーミング配信を制御する。例えば、再生制御部552は、ユーザの注意が表示装置40から逸れて通信端末30の使用ログがコンテンツと関連付けて記録された後、ユーザの注意が表示装置40に戻った場合、例えば、アプリケーションの使用が終了した場合、使用ログと関連付けられたコンテンツの追いかけ再生をストリーミングサーバ60に指示する。
以上、第2の実施形態による制御サーバ50の構成を説明した。続いて、第2の実施形態による制御システムの再生に関する動作を説明する。
上述した追いかけ再生は、通常の再生速度であってもよいが、時間短縮再生であってもよい。時間短縮再生としては、ダイジェスト再生、CMスキップ再生などが挙げられる。以下、このような時間短縮再生を行う場合の動作例を説明する。なお、制御サーバ50は、図18に示すように、コンテンツ中のダイジェスト部分、およびCM部分の位置を示す情報を記憶しているものとする。
以上説明したように、本開示の実施形態による制御装置10および制御サーバ50は、ユーザの注意が表示装置40から逸れた場合や、録画されたコンテンツをユーザが事後的に再生する可能性が高いと考えられる場合に、コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する。かかる構成により、ユーザは、コンテンツの見逃した部分を事後的に視聴することが可能となる。

前記制御部は、前記コンテンツに関する処理が実行された場合、前記コンテンツに関する処理の実行を示す通知を前記通信端末に表示させる、前記(1)~(7)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記通知に基づくユーザの操作入力に応じて、前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、前記(8)に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記検出部により前記アプリケーションの使用が検出された場合、前記アプリケーションの使用内容が前記コンテンツと関連性を有するか否かに応じて前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、前記(1)~(9)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記検出部により検出された前記アプリケーションについて、以前に当該アプリケーションの使用に基づいて記録処理が行われたコンテンツの再生頻度が閾値を上回る場合に前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、前記(1)~(10)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記検出部により所定時間以上に渡る前記アプリケーションの使用が検出されたか否かに応じて前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、前記(1)~(11)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記コンテンツに関する記録処理は、前記検出部により検出された前記アプリケーションの使用内容を示す使用ログを前記コンテンツに対応付ける処理を含む、前記(1)~(12)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用終了後、前記コンテンツ出力装置を使用する前記通信端末のユーザと異なる他のユーザの有無に基づき、前記通信端末または前記コンテンツ出力装置における前記コンテンツの再生を制御する、前記(1)~(13)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記検出部により得られる前記他のユーザの通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用の検出結果に基づいて前記コンテンツ出力装置を使用する他のユーザの有無を判定する、前記(14)に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用終了後、前記コンテンツ出力装置を使用する前記他のユーザの有無に基づき、前記コンテンツの再生確認画面を前記通信端末または前記コンテンツ出力装置に表示させる、前記(14)または(15)に記載の制御装置。

前記制御部は、前記コンテンツ出力装置の視聴可能範囲の撮像画像から検出されるユーザの通信端末に関連付けられたコンテンツ出力装置を抽出し、前記検出部により検出された当該ユーザの通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用に応じ、抽出されたコンテンツ出力装置で出力されているコンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、前記(1)~(16)のいずれか一項に記載の制御装置。

前記コンテンツに関する記録処理は、前記検出部により前記アプリケーションの使用が検出されたタイミングに応じてタイミングデータを前記コンテンツに対応付ける処理を含み、
前記制御部は、前記通知に基づくユーザの操作入力に応じて前記タイミングデータを削除する、前記(9)に記載の制御装置。

前記コンテンツに関する記録処理は、前記コンテンツの記録処理を含み、
前記制御部は、前記通知に基づくユーザの操作入力に応じて前記記録処理を中止する、前記(9)に記載の制御装置。

通信端末におけるアプリケーションの使用を検出することと、
前記アプリケーションの使用の検出結果に応じて、前記通信端末と関連付けられたコンテンツ出力装置で出力されているコンテンツに関する記録処理を制御することと、

Claims (20)
- 通信端末におけるアプリケーションの使用を検出する検出部と、
前記検出部による検出結果に応じて、前記通信端末と関連付けられたコンテンツ出力装置で出力されているコンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する制御部と、
を備える、制御装置。 - 前記コンテンツに関する記録処理は、前記検出部により前記アプリケーションの使用が検出されたタイミングに応じてタイミングデータを前記コンテンツに対応付ける処理を含む、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記コンテンツに関する記録処理は、前記コンテンツの記録処理を含む、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記検出部は、受信処理に応じた前記アプリケーションの使用を検出する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記検出部は、送信処理のための前記アプリケーションの使用を検出する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記アプリケーションは、音声通信アプリケーションを含む、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記アプリケーションは、ブラウジングアプリケーションを含む、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記コンテンツに関する処理が実行された場合、前記コンテンツに関する処理の実行を示す通知を前記通信端末に表示させる、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記通知に基づくユーザの操作入力に応じて、前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、請求項8に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記検出部により前記アプリケーションの使用が検出された場合、前記アプリケーションの使用内容が前記コンテンツと関連性を有するか否かに応じて前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記検出部により検出された前記アプリケーションについて、以前に当該アプリケーションの使用に基づいて記録処理が行われたコンテンツの再生頻度が閾値を上回る場合に前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、所定時間以上に渡る前記アプリケーションの使用が前記検出部により検出されたか否かに応じて前記コンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記コンテンツに関する記録処理は、前記検出部により検出された前記アプリケーションの使用内容を示す使用ログを前記コンテンツに対応付ける処理を含む、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用終了後、前記コンテンツ出力装置を使用する前記通信端末のユーザと異なる他のユーザの有無に基づき、前記通信端末または前記コンテンツ出力装置における前記コンテンツの再生を制御する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記検出部により得られる前記他のユーザの通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用の検出結果に基づいて前記コンテンツ出力装置を使用する他のユーザの有無を判定する、請求項14に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用終了後、前記コンテンツ出力装置を使用する前記他のユーザの有無に基づき、前記コンテンツの再生確認画面を前記通信端末または前記コンテンツ出力装置に表示させる、請求項14に記載の制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記コンテンツ出力装置の視聴可能範囲の撮像画像から検出されるユーザの通信端末に関連付けられたコンテンツ出力装置を抽出し、前記検出部により検出された当該ユーザの通信端末における前記アプリケーションの使用に応じ、抽出されたコンテンツ出力装置で出力されているコンテンツに関する記録処理を制御する、請求項1に記載の制御装置。
- 通信端末におけるアプリケーションの使用を検出することと、
前記アプリケーションの使用の検出結果に応じて、前記通信端末と関連付けられたコンテンツ出力装置で出力されているコンテンツに関する記録処理を制御することと、
を含む、制御方法。 - コンピュータを、
