Description

시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름 및 그 제조 방법
본 발명은 양면 투명 전도성 필름 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 터치 패널 구조의 단순화 및 공정 단순화를 도모할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 우수한 시인성 특성을 갖는 양면 투명 전도성 필름 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
투명전극 필름은 터치패널의 제조 시 가장 중요한 부품 중 하나이다. 이러한 투명전극 필름으로 현재까지 가장 널리 사용되는 것은 전광선 투과율이 85% 이상이고, 표면 저항이 400Ω/square 이하인 인듐 주석 산화물(Indium Tin Oxide: ITO) 필름이다.
일반적인 투명전극 필름은 투명한 고분자 필름에 표면 평탄성과 내열성을 구비하기 위해 프라이머 코팅(primer coating) 처리를 한 후 하드코팅 처리한 것을 기재 필름(base film)으로 사용한다.
이러한 기재 필름 상에, 언더코팅층을 습식 코팅(wet coating)이나 스퍼터링 방식으로 형성한 후, ITO와 같은 투명 도전층을 스퍼터링 방식으로 형성하였다.
최근, 대면적 터치패널의 사용이 증가되면서 응답 속도를 빠르게 하기 위해 표면 저항 200Ω/square 미만의 저저항 구현과 투명 도전층의 시인성 개선이 요구되고 있다.
한편, 투사형 정전용량 터치패널은 표시패널의 상부 전극 및 하부 전극의 역할을 하는 투명 도전층들과, 상기 표시패널의 상부 또는 하부에 각각 부착되는 투명 도전성 필름의 투명 도전층이 매우 가까운 위치에 배치되는 관계로, 상호 간에 신호 간섭을 일으켜 크로스 토크(cross talk)를 유발하는 문제를 야기할 수 있다.
따라서, 최근에는 투명 전도성 필름 또는 투명 전도성 유리를 적어도 2장 사용하고, 필요에 따라 노이즈 차폐를 위한 투명 전도성 필름을 추가하여 사용하고자 하는 노력이 진행 중에 있다.
그러나, 이와 같이 투명 전도성 필름 또는 투명 전도성 유리를 적층하는 구조로 제작하기 위해서는 OCA(optical clear adhesive)를 여러 층 사용하여 부착하게 되는 데, 이는 결국 복잡한 구조에 의한 작업 효율성의 감소와 제조 비용 상승을 야기한다.
또한, 다수의 OCA의 사용은 결국 2차 공정 불량의 발생율을 증가시키며, 광학적 물성의 저하를 야기할 뿐만 아니라, 터치패널의 전체 두께를 증가시켜 박형화의 추세를 역행하는 문제를 초래한다.
관련 선행문헌으로는 대한민국 공개특허 제10-2011-0072854(2011.06.29 공개)가 있으며, 상기 문헌에는 투명 전극 필름 및 이의 제조 방법이 개시되어 있을 뿐, 양면 투명 전도성 필름에 대하여 개시하는 바가 없다.
본 발명의 목적은 하나의 투명 기재층을 이용하면서도, 투명 기재층을 기준으로 2개의 투명 전도성 필름이 상호 대칭되는 합착 구조를 갖도록 형성함으로써, 터치 패널에 적용할 경우 구조 단순화 및 광학적 물성 향상 효과를 가질 수 있는 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 언더 코팅층과 투명 도전층을 스퍼터링 증착 방법으로 연속 성막함으로써, 공정 단순화를 통해 제조 비용을 절감할 수 있는 양면 투명 전도성 필름의 제조 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름은 투명 기재층; 상기 투명 기재층의 양면에 각각 형성된 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층; 상기 제1 하드 코팅층 상에 차례로 적층 형성된 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층; 상기 제2 하드 코팅층 상에 차례로 적층 형성된 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층; 및 상기 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층 상에 각각 형성된 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 다른 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법은 (a) 투명 기재층의 양면에 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층을 각각 형성하는 단계; (b) 상기 제1 하드 코팅층 상에 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층을 차례로 형성하는 단계; (c) 상기 제2 언더 코팅층 상에 제1 투명 도전성 물질을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 제1 투명 도전층을 형성하는 단계; (d) 상기 제2 하드 코팅층 상에 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층을 차례로 형성하는 단계; 및 (e) 상기 제4 언더 코팅층 상에 제2 투명 도전성 물질을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 제2 투명 도전층을 형성하는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명에 따른 양면 투명 전도성 필름은 하나의 투명 기재층을 이용하면서도, 투명 기재층을 기준으로 OCA(optical clear adhesive)를 사용하는 것 없이 2개의 투명 전도성 필름이 상호 대칭되는 합착 구조를 가질 수 있는바, 터치 패널에 적용할 경우 구조 단순화 및 광학적 물성 향상 효과를 가질 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 언더 코팅층들과 투명 도전층들을 원재료 확보가 용이한 실리콘(Si), 니오븀(Nb), ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) 등을 이용한 스퍼터링 증착 방법으로 연속 성막함으로써, 공정 단순화를 통해 양면 투명 전도성 필름의 제조 비용을 절감할 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 나타낸 단면도이다.

본 발명의 이점 및 특징, 그리고 그것들을 달성하는 방법은 첨부되는 도면과 함께 상세하게 후술되어 있는 실시예들을 참조하면 명확해질 것이다. 그러나, 본 발명은 이하에서 개시되는 실시예들에 한정되는 것이 아니라 서로 다른 다양한 형태로 구현될 것이며, 단지 본 실시예들은 본 발명의 개시가 완전하도록 하며, 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 발명의 범주를 완전하게 알려주기 위해 제공되는 것이며, 본 발명은 청구항의 범주에 의해 정의될 뿐이다. 명세서 전체에 걸쳐 동일 참조 부호는 동일 구성요소를 지칭한다.
이하 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름 및 그 제조 방법에 관하여 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 1은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 나타낸 단면도이다.
도 1을 참조하면, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름(100)은 투명 기재층(110), 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층(120, 122), 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층(130, 140), 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층(132, 142)과 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층(150, 152)을 포함한다.
투명 기재층(110)은 투명성과 강도가 우수한 필름이 이용될 수 있다. 이러한 투명 기재층(110)의 재질로는 PET(polyethylene terephthalate), PEN(polyethylenenaphthalate), PES(polyethersulfone), PC(Poly carbonate), PP(poly propylene), 노보르넨계 수지 등이 제시될 수 있으며, 이들이 단독 또는 2종 이상으로 혼합되어 있을 수 있다. 또한, 투명 기재층(110)은 단일 필름의 형태 또는 적층 필름의 형태가 적용될 수 있다.
제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층(120, 122)은 아크릴계, 우레탄계, 에폭시계, 실록산계 폴리머 재질 등에서 선택된 1종 이상을 사용할 수 있다. 또한, 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층(120, 122)은 강도 향상을 위하여 첨가제로 실리카(silica)계의 필러를 더 포함할 수도 있다.
상기 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층(120, 122) 각각은 1.5 ~ 7㎛의 두께로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다. 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층(120, 122) 각각의 두께가 1.5㎛ 미만일 경우에는 상기의 효과를 제대로 발휘하는 데 어려움이 따를 수 있다. 반대로, 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층(120, 122) 각각의 두께가 7㎛를 초과할 경우에는 효과 상승 대비 생산 비용이 더 큰 문제가 있다.
제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층(130, 140)은 제1 하드 코팅층(120) 상에 차례로 적층 형성된다. 이러한 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층(130, 140)은 투명 기재층(110)과 후술할 제1 투명 도전층(150) 사이에 배치되어, 상기 투명 기재층(110)과 제1 투명 도전층(150) 상호 간을 전기적으로 절연시킴과 더불어 투과도를 향상시키는 역할을 한다.
제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층(132, 142)은 제2 하드 코팅층(122) 상에 차례로 적층 형성된다. 이러한 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층(132, 142)은 투명 기재층(110)과 후술할 제2 투명 도전층(152) 사이에 배치되어, 상기 투명 기재층(110)과 제2 투명 도전층(152) 상호 간을 전기적으로 절연시킴과 더불어 투과도를 향상시키는 역할을 한다.
제1 및 제2 투명 도전층(150, 152)은 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 상에 각각 형성된다. 이때, 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층(150, 152) 각각은 인듐주석 산화물(Indium Tin Oxide, ITO), 인듐아연 산화물(Indium Zinc Oxide, IZO), FTO(fluorine doped tin oxide, SnO2 : F) 등에서 선택된 하나로 형성될 수 있다.
이때, 제1 투명 도전층(150)은 X축을 따라 형성되는 제1 전극일 수 있고, 제2 투명 도전층(152)은 Y축을 따라 형성되는 제2 전극일 수 있다. 이와 반대로, 제1 투명 도전층(150)은 제1 전극일 수 있고, 제2 투명 도전층(152)은 제2 전극일 수 있다. 이와 또 다르게, 제1 투명 도전층(150)은 X축 또는 Y축을 따라 형성되는 제1 전극일 수 있고, 제2 투명 도전층(152)은 노이즈 차폐를 위한 그라운드 배선일 수 있다.
한편, 도 2는 도 1의 A 부분을 확대하여 나타낸 단면도이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 140) 각각은 굴절률이 상이한 2개 이상의 층으로 형성될 수 있다. 일 예로, 상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132) 각각은 1.40 ~ 1.45의 굴절률을 갖는 제1층(130a, 132a)과, 상기 제1층(130a, 132a) 상에 1.8 ~ 2.0의 제2 굴절률을 갖는 제2층(130b, 132b)을 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층(150, 152) 각각의 굴절률이 대략 1.9 ~ 2.0이라고 할 때, 상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제1층(130a, 132a)과 제2층(130b, 132b) 간의 굴절률 차이가 너무 크거나 너무 작을 경우 반사율의 상승으로 전광선 투과율이 급격히 저하되는 문제를 야기할 수 있는바, 상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제1층(130a, 132a)과 제2층(130b, 132b) 간의 굴절률 차이는 최대 0.5 ~ 0.6으로 제한하는 것이 바람직하다.
이때, 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제1층(130a, 132a)은 제2층(130b, 132b)에 비하여 제1 투명 기재층(110)에 인접하도록 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에서는 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제1층(130a, 132a)으로 SiOx, SiON 등에서 선택된 하나로 형성한 결과, 굴절률이 1.40 ~ 1.45 사이로 조절 가능하였다. 그리고, 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제2층(130b, 132b)으로 NbOx, SiOx, SiON 등에서 선택된 하나로 형성한 결과, 굴절률이 1.8 ~ 2.0 사이로 조절 가능하였다. 이를 통해, 본 발명에 따른 양면 투명 전도성 필름(100)의 전체적인 시인성 및 전광선 투과율이 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.
이때, 상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132) 각각의 제1층(130a, 132a) 및 제2층(130b, 132b)의 합산 두께는 20 ~ 100nm로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 합산 두께가 20nm 미만으로 너무 얇게 형성될 경우에는 투과율 및 시인성 향상 효과를 제대로 발휘하는 데 어려움이 따를 수 있다. 반대로, 상기 합산 두께가 100nm를 초과할 경우에는 막 응력이 심해져 크랙(crack) 등의 불량을 야기할 수 있다.
한편, 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 각각은 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제2층(130b, 132b)과 투명 기재층(110)의 반사율 차이를 감소시키고 전광선 투과율을 높여 시인성을 보다 향상시키는 역할을 한다. 또한, 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142)은 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제2층(130b, 132b)과 후술할 제1 및 제2 투명 기재층(150, 152) 사이에 각각 배치되어 수분과 올리고머 등이 투과되는 것을 차단하는 역할을 한다.
이러한 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 각각은 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층(130, 132)의 제1층(130a, 132a)과 마찬가지로 1.40 ~ 1.45의 굴절률을 가질 수 있다. 이를 위해, 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 각각은 SiOx, SiON 등으로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
이때, 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 각각의 두께는 10 ~ 60nm로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 각각의 두께가 10nm 미만일 경우에는 시인성 향상 효과를 제대로 발휘하는 데 어려움이 따를 수 있다. 반대로, 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 각각의 두께가 60nm를 초과할 경우에는 더 이상의 시인성 등의 상승 효과 없이 공정 비용만을 상승시킬 수 있다.
전술한 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름(100)은 투명 기재층(110)의 양면에 각각 형성된 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층(130, 140)과 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층(132, 142)을 통하여 우수한 광학적 물성을 확보할 수 있음과 더불어, 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층(140, 142) 상에 투사형 정전용량 방식 터치 패널의 제1 전극과 제2 전극으로 활용되는 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층(150, 152)이 각각 형성되는 구조를 갖는다.
이 경우, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 양면 투명 전도성 필름(100)은 하나의 투명 기재층(110)을 이용하면서도, 투명 기재층(110)을 기준으로 OCA(optical clear adhesive)를 사용하는 것 없이 2개의 투명 전도성 필름이 상호 대칭되는 합착 구조를 가질 수 있다.
따라서, 본 발명에 따른 양면 투명 전도성 필름(100)을 투사형 정전용량 방식의 터치 패널에 적용할 때, 제1 투명 도전층(150)은 X축을 따라 형성되는 제1 전극으로 이용하고, 제2 투명 도전층(152)은 Y축을 따라 형성되는 제2 전극으로 이용하거나, 또는 그 역으로 활용할 수 있다. 이 경우, 터치 패널의 상면 또는 하면에 대하여 양면 투명 전도성 필름(100)을 부착시키면 되기 때문에, 종래와 같이 터치 패널의 상면 및 하면에 각각 투명 전도성 필름을 부착하는 구조와 비교해 볼 때, OCA의 사용량을 절반으로 줄일 수 있다. 또한, 하나의 투명 기재층(110)만이 사용되므로 터치 패널의 전체 두께를 대폭적으로 줄일 수 있는바, 슬림한 터치 패널을 구현하는 데 유리한 효과를 갖는다.
또한, 별도의 투명 도전층이 있는 구조에 OCA로 합지되어, 제1 투명 도전층(150)은 X축 또는 Y축을 따라 형성되는 전극으로 이용하고, 제2 투명 도전층(152)은 노이즈 차폐를 위한 그라운드 배선으로 이용할 수 있다. 이 경우, 노이즈 차폐 구조를 가지면서도 상술한 바와 같은 이유로 터치 패널의 전체 두께와 제작 공정을 줄일 수 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법을 나타낸 공정 순서도이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법은 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층 형성 단계(S210), 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층 형성 단계(S220), 제1 투명 도전층 형성 단계(S230), 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층 형성 단계(S240)와 제2 투명 도전층 형성 단계(S250)를 포함한다.
제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층 형성 단계(S210)에서는 투명 기재층의 일면 및 타면에 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층을 각각 형성한다.
이때, 투명 기재층의 재질로는 PET(polyethylene terephthalate), PEN(polyethylenenaphthalate), PES(polyethersulfone), PC(Poly carbonate), PP(poly propylene), 노보르넨계 수지 등이 제시될 수 있으며, 이들이 단독 또는 2종 이상으로 혼합되어 있을 수 있다.
또한, 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층은 아크릴계, 우레탄계, 에폭시계, 실록산계 폴리머 재질 등에서 선택된 1종 이상을 사용할 수 있다. 이때, 상기 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층 각각은 1.5 ~ 7㎛의 두께로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층 형성 단계(S220)에서는 제1 하드 코팅층 상에 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층을 차례로 적층 형성한다. 이때, 상기 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층은 습식 코팅 방식 또는 스퍼터링 증착 방식으로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
구체적으로 설명하면, 제1 언더 코팅층은 굴절률이 상이한 2개 이상의 층으로 형성될 수 있다. 일 예로, 상기 제1 언더 코팅층은 1.40 ~ 1.45의 굴절률을 갖는 제1층과, 상기 제1층 상에 1.8 ~ 2.0의 굴절률을 갖는 제2층을 포함할 수 있다.
이때, 제1 언더 코팅층의 제1층은 투명 필름 상에 Si 타겟을 이용하면서 반응가스로 산소 또는 질소를 이용한 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 1.40 ~ 1.45 사이의 제1 굴절률을 갖는 실리콘 산화물(SiOx) 또는 실리콘 질화물(SiON)을 증착하는 것에 의하여 형성될 수 있다. 그리고, 제2 언더 코팅층의 제2층은 제1층 상에 Si 또는 Nb 타겟을 이용하면서 반응가스로 산소 또는 질소를 이용한 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 1.8 ~ 2.0 사이의 굴절률을 갖는 니오븀 산화물, 실리콘 산화물 및 실리콘 질화물 중 어느 하나를 증착하는 것에 의하여 형성될 수 있다. 상기 제1 언더 코팅층의 제1층 및 제2층의 합산 두께는 20 ~ 100nm로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
한편, 제2 언더 코팅층은 제1 언더 코팅층의 제1층과 동일한 방법에 의하여, 1.40 ~ 1.45 사이의 굴절률을 갖는 실리콘 산화물(SiOx) 또는 실리콘 질화물(SiON)로 이루어질 수 있다. 이때, 제2 언더 코팅층은 10 ~ 60nm의 두께로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
제1 도전층 형성 단계(S230)에서는 제2 언더 코팅층 상에 제1 투명 도전성 물질을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 제1 투명 도전층을 형성한다. 이때, 제1 투명 도전성 물질로는 인듐주석 산화물(Indium Tin Oxide, ITO), 인듐아연 산화물(Indium Zinc Oxide, IZO), FTO(fluorine doped tin oxide, SnO2 : F) 등에서 선택된 하나로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층 형성 단계(S240)에서는 제2 하드 코팅층 상에 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층을 차례로 적층 형성한다. 이때, 상기 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층은 스퍼터링 증착 방식으로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
이러한 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층은 투명 기재층의 일면에 반대되는 타면에 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층과 동일한 방법에 의하여 동일한 구조로 형성될 수 있는바, 그 상세한 설명은 생략하도록 한다.
제2 투명 도전층 형성 단계(S250)에서는 제4 언더 코팅층 상에 제2 투명 도전성 물질을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 제2 투명 도전층을 형성한다. 이때, 제2 투명 도전성 물질로는 제1 투명 도전성 물질과 동일하게 인듐주석 산화물(Indium Tin Oxide, ITO), 인듐아연 산화물(Indium Zinc Oxide, IZO), FTO(fluorine doped tin oxide, SnO2 : F) 등에서 선택된 하나로 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
이상으로, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 시인성이 우수한 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법이 종료될 수 있다.
지금까지 살펴본 바와 같이, 상기의 과정(S210 ~ S250)으로 제조된 양면 투명 전도성 필름은 하나의 투명 기재층을 이용하면서도, 투명 기재층을 기준으로 OCA(optical clear adhesive)를 사용하는 것 없이 2개의 투명 전도성 필름이 상호 대칭되는 합착 구조를 가질 수 있는바, 터치 패널에 적용할 경우 구조 단순화 및 광학적 물성 향상 효과를 가질 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 언더 코팅층들과 투명 도전층들을 원재료 확보가 용이한 실리콘(Si), 니오븀(Nb), ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) 등을 이용한 스퍼터링 증착 방법으로 연속 성막함으로써, 공정 단순화를 통해 양면 투명 전도성 필름의 제조 비용을 절감할 수 있다.
실시예
이하, 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 통해 본 발명의 구성 및 작용을 더욱 상세히 설명하기로 한다. 다만, 이는 본 발명의 바람직한 예시로 제시된 것이며 어떠한 의미로도 이에 의해 본 발명이 제한되는 것으로 해석될 수는 없다.
여기에 기재되지 않은 내용은 이 기술 분야에서 숙련된 자이면 충분히 기술적으로 유추할 수 있는 것이므로 그 설명을 생략하기로 한다.
1. 필름 제조
실시예 1
125㎛ 두께의 PET 필름 양면에 아크릴계 하드 코팅액을 5㎛의 두께로 각각 도포하고 경화하여 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층을 형성한 후, 일면에 실리콘(Si)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 SiO2를 15nm로 성막한 후, 니오븀(Nb)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 NbO2를 10nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.43과 1.9인 2층 구조의 제1 언더 코팅층을 형성하였다. 다음으로, 실리콘을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 SiO2를 50nm로 성막하여 제2 언더 코팅층을 형성한 후, ITO를 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 20nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.95인 제1 투명 도전층을 형성하였다.
이후, 타면에 실리콘(Si)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 SiO2를 15nm로 성막한 후, 니오븀(Nb)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 NbO2를 10nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.43과 1.9인 2층 구조의 제3 언더 코팅층을 형성하였다. 다음으로, 실리콘(Si)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 SiO2를 50nm로 성막하여 제4 언더 코팅층을 형성한 후, ITO를 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 20nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.95인 제2 투명 도전층을 형성하였다.
실시예 2
SiO2를 20nm로 성막하고, NbO2를 12nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.43과 1.86인 2층 구조의 제1 언더 코팅층을 형성하고, SiO2를 20nm로 성막하고, NbO2를 12nm로 성막하여 1.43과 1.86인 2층 구조의 제3 언더 코팅층을 형성한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 제조하였다.
실시예 3
SION을 15nm로 성막하고, NbO2를 10nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.41과 1.86인 2층 구조의 제1 언더 코팅층을 형성하고, SiON을 15nm로 성막하고, NbO2를 10nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.41과 1.86인 2층 구조의 제3 언더 코팅층을 형성한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 제조하였다.
실시예 4
SiO2를 5nm로 성막하고, NbO2를 20nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.38과 1.76인 2층 구조의 제1 언더 코팅층을 형성하고, SiO2를 5nm로 성막하고, NbO2를 20nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.38과 1.76인 2층 구조의 제3 언더 코팅층을 형성한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 제조하였다.
비교예 1
제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층을 형성하는 공정을 생략한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 양면 투명 전도성 필름을 제조하였다.
비교예 2
125㎛ 두께의 PET 필름 일면에 아크릴계 하드 코팅액을 5㎛의 두께로 각각 도포하고 경화하여 하드 코팅층을 형성한 후, 상기 하드 코팅층 상부에 실리콘(Si)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 SiO2를 15nm로 성막한 후, 니오븀(Nb)을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 NbO2를 10nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.43과 1.9인 2층 구조의 제1 언더 코팅층을 형성하였다. 다음으로, 실리콘을 타겟으로 이용한 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 SiO2를 50nm로 성막하여 제2 언더 코팅층을 상기 제1 언더 코팅층 상부에 형성한 후, 상기 제2 언더 코팅층 상부에 ITO를 반응성 스퍼터링 방식으로 20nm로 성막하여 굴절률 1.95인 투명 도전층을 형성하였다. 다음으로, 두께 50 um인 투명 점착제(OCA)를 사용하여 동일한 두 투명 도전성 필름을 적층시킨다. 적층시킨 구조에서 투명 도전성 층이 서로 반대편에 위치하도록 한다.
2. 물성 평가
표 1은 실시예 1 ~ 3 및 비교예 1 에 따른 필름들에 대한 광학적 물성 평가 결과와 두께를 나타낸 것이다.
(1) 투과율 및 색상 : ASTM D1003 방법에 의거하여 Spectrophotometer로 측정하여 D65 광원 기준의 투과율과 b* 수치를 얻었다.
(2) 시인성 : 양쪽의 투명 도전층을 일부 식각하여 패턴을 형성하고 육안으로 관찰하여, 패턴 시인성을 평가하였다.
O : 투명 도전층 패턴이 관찰되지 않음
△ : 투명 도전층 패턴이 약간 관찰됨
X : 투명 도전층 패턴이 뚜렷이 관찰됨
(3) 두께: 디지털 두께 게이지를 이용하여 각 투명 도전성 필름 혹은 적층 구조의 측정하였다.

표 1을 참조하면, 실시예 1 ~ 4에서 모두 우수한 광학적 물성을 얻을 수 있고, 특히, 실시예 1 ~ 3에 따른 필름들의 경우, 목표값에 해당하는 투과율 : 89 % 이상 및 색상 b* 1.5 미만으로 우수한 광학적 물성을 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이는 비교예 2의 싱글 타입의 투명 전도성 필름 수준의 광학적 물성을 얻을 수 있음을 의미한다. 또한, 실시예 1 ~ 3에 따른 필름들의 경우 시인성 평가 결과에서 알 수 있듯이 육안으로 패턴이 전혀 확인되지 않았다.
반면, 비교예 1에 따른 필름의 경우, 투과율 및 색상 수치가 모두 불만족스러운 결과를 나타냄을 알 수 있다. 또한, 비교예 1 에 따른 필름의 경우 시인성 평가 결과에서 알 수 있듯이 패턴이 육안으로 확인되는 수준으로 패턴 시인성이 좋지 못했고, 비교예 2에 따른 필름의 경우 실시예와 동등한 수준의 광학 특성을 가지더라도 싱글 타입 투명 전도성 필름 두 장을 적층한 결과로 두께가 310 um에 달했다. 위의 실험 결과를 토대로, 실시예 1 ~ 4에 따른 필름들은 양면 코팅 타입의 투명 전도성 필름이면서도 광학성 물성이 우수하고, 얇은 두께를 유지할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
이상에서는 본 발명의 실시예를 중심으로 설명하였으나, 이는 예시적인 것에 불과하며, 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 기술자라면 이로부터 다양한 변형 및 균등한 타 실시 예가 가능하다는 점을 이해할 것이다. 따라서, 본 발명의 진정한 기술적 보호범위는 이하에 기재되는 특허청구범위에 의해서 판단되어야 할 것이다.

Claims (12)

  1. 투명 기재층;
    상기 투명 기재층의 양면에 각각 형성된 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층;
    상기 제1 하드 코팅층 상에 차례로 적층 형성된 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층;
    상기 제2 하드 코팅층 상에 차례로 적층 형성된 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층; 및
    상기 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층 상에 각각 형성된 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 투명 기재층은
    PET(polyethylene terephthalate), PEN(polyethylenenaphthalate), PES(polyethersulfone), PC(Poly carbonate), PP(poly propylene) 및 노보르넨계 수지 중 1종 이상을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층은
    아크릴계, 우레탄계, 에폭시계 및 실록산계 폴리머 재질 중 선택된 1종 이상을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층 각각은
    1.40 ~ 1.45의 굴절율을 갖는 제1층과, 상기 제1층 상에 1.8 ~ 2.0의 굴절율을 갖는 제2층을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  5. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층 각각은
    1.40 ~ 1.45의 굴절율을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  6. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층 각각의 상기 제1층과 제2층의 합산 두께는 20 ~ 100nm인 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  7. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 및 제3 언더 코팅층 각각은
    상기 제1층이 SiOx 또는 SiON으로 형성되고,
    상기 제2층이 NbOx, SiOx 및 SiON 중 하나로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  8. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 및 제4 언더 코팅층 각각은
    SiOx 또는 SiON으로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  9. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 및 제2 투명 도전층 각각은
    인듐주석 산화물(Indium Tin Oxide, ITO), 인듐아연 산화물(Indium Zinc Oxide, IZO) 및 FTO(fluorine doped tin oxide, SnO2 : F) 중 하나로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름.
  10. (a) 투명 기재층의 양면에 제1 및 제2 하드 코팅층을 각각 형성하는 단계;
    (b) 상기 제1 하드 코팅층 상에 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층을 차례로 형성하는 단계;
    (c) 상기 제2 언더 코팅층 상에 제1 투명 도전성 물질을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 제1 투명 도전층을 형성하는 단계;
    (d) 상기 제2 하드 코팅층 상에 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층을 차례로 형성하는 단계; 및
    (e) 상기 제4 언더 코팅층 상에 제2 투명 도전성 물질을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 제2 투명 도전층을 형성하는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서,
    상기 (b) 단계에서,
    상기 제1 및 제2 언더 코팅층은 습식 코팅 방식 또는 스퍼터링 증착 방식으로 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법.
  12. 제10항에 있어서,
    상기 (d) 단계에서,
    상기 제3 및 제4 언더 코팅층은 스퍼터링 증착 방식으로 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 양면 투명 전도성 필름 제조 방법.
